Cruise control activation and set are only one touch on steering wheel far left button. The button for this is located where left hand palm falls on steering wheel, leading to unintended activation. Could be resolved by two step activation, I.e: press on, then press the separate set button.
I have two recalls that I cannot get any assistance with Recall # 23S65 Rear Axle Bolt Breakage and new recall #25S75 which is Fuel Pump Riser. I have acquired services from four different dealerships and have taken photos and mileage to get repairs completed. I hear clicking noise in my truck and afraid of it causing serious damage and injury along with my fuel pump issue and bad gas mileage and noises when initial cranking my vehicle. I would like to know what dealership in Southwest Louisiana could I bring my vehicle in to resolve these issues that I have been dealing with close to a year. If not, what dealership will provide me courtesy like vehicle rental until completed. I currently of the Bubba Ostalet Ford 246 N. Broadway St. Jennings, La 70546.

Daytime running lamp burnt out on passenger side. Coincidentally, right after the vehicle was in for a parking lamp recall. There are 34,900 miles and I’m just shy of a month out of my 3 year warranty. $1700 for a new headlight at owners expense is ridiculous and this is a common issue on these trucks.

Passenger side DRL burn out

Passenger side Lighting Control Module, becomes defective. Most obvious sign is the non operational passenger side running light/light bar. Other observations, may include sporadic flashing on high beam (assuming- as passenger side Lighting can be seen flicker/flashing passenger side, while driving. Another issue is an occasional non working passenger side front turn signal.
The rear tail light bar and back up light has moisture in it. It no longer works, the back up light also does not work. This is a known defect and there is a recall for this issue on many Ford Lightning pickups. For some reason my truck is not included in the recall. The vehicle is available for inspection. I have no illumination when backing up, I feel this is an unsafe condition. The dealer has confirmed there is moisture in the tail light bar. No other entity has inspected the vehicle. I first noticed the problem when after putting the truck in reverse at night I could not see behind me while backing up.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, there was rainwater entering the interior of the vehicle on the front driver's side. Daytime running lights have burned out separately but does not have a bulb replacement solution. The entire headlight has to be replaced causing a safety issue in daytime visibility and price gouging from Ford Motor Company.
The running lights went out on the front passenger side. These are LED lights and should last longer than 60k miles. These can’t be repaired and have to be replaced. I got quoted $1,650 without labor for one.
Electric portion of rack and pinion faults while driving causing loss of power steering Safety factor is loss of power steering Ford dealership has confirmed the issue and the truck only only has 37,000 miles
Issue: Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.3L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with OTC P0171 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software level of the PCM. To correct this issue, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM to the latest software level using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FORS). Description: 2021-2023 F-150 3.3L: Reprogram The Appropriate Modules As Required By The Software Update And Service Procedure (Do Not Use With Any Other Labbr Operations) Ford has current recalls for this issue but my vehicle was not included.
The problem is not a safety issue but needs to be addressed for recall. There is a underbody shield called the splash guard or skid plate. It's a cloth shield that covers the oil pan. It's make of some kind of cloth instead of a metal. It fell off jan 17, 2025, the first time and I was charged $154.83. I was told this wasn't covered under warranty and it gets wet, freezes and comes off. At this time I saw 4 other f150s with this piece of cloth dragging under their trucks. This shows me that it happens to alot of f150s. This just happened again 4/11/2025. There was no snow to blame this on. After checking Google for this I see there was some 185,000 recalls fromm 2000 throughout 2022. My truck is a 2022 but wasn't covered under the recall. Again this piece came off and I filed a complaint with ford customer service because I refuse to pay for another factory defect. They suggested I file a complaint with you so here I am.
Rear driver-side blinker light failed due to microscopic breaks in the light. It eventually allowed moisture to occur in the light causing a failure in the lights. It has been a known issue on the F150 Lightning vehicle with the rear lamp bar and based on many other vehicle owner accounts it is also an issue with the rear taillights.

I have had the rear axle bolts break 2 times now. ford has had 2 years to come up with a fix and they have not as of today. the recall was issued over 2 years ago and the temporary fix is all they have come up with. dealers are not wanting to take the trucks in trade, I have had to spend time and money for the temporary fix. Ford has had more than enough time to come up with a permanent fix and they have failed
My rear reverse lights and light bar are full of water, there was a recall on this model vehicle to address this issue but my vehicle wasn't part of that recall even though the light bar is the same part number. The reverse lights are full of water and cause the reverse lights to flicker or not turn on at all.
Jan 2025 bought a 2022 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost with 10 speed transmission with 32,000 miles on the transmission started going out around 35,000 miles as it was shaking, shuttering, and hesitating. Took it to one dealership they had it for a couple of weeks and couldn’t figure it out and said it was normal. I told them it’s not safe to drive with as bad as the hesitation was. Decided to go to another dealership they figured out the problem fixed and got it fixed. Drove it for a week starting have issues with it shaking between gears 7-10 with the smell of burning transmission fluid in the cabin. Took it back to the dealer they had it for 3 weeks drove the truck and felt the issue I explained but told me they couldn’t fix the problem and there is nothing they can do right now. During the time of going between dealerships got in contact with Ford they made a case against the truck but have not got involved with fixing the problem. All of this does not include the 2020 F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost I bought at the end of 23’ with 38,000 miles and at 45000 miles had Transmission issues and had to be rebuilt but never got fixed correctly so ended up having to trade it in with all of the other issues with that truck. Ford denied the buyback I applied for and refuses to fix the problem. This is a very big problem as this has been going on for a while with Fords 10 speed transmission.
I received a letter many months ago from Ford stating that recall 23S65 would be remedied during the first quarter of 2025. Ford is now late in addressing this recall, and should face scrutiny, fines, or some other form of punishment. I continue to wait for information from Ford and for the fix itself. Meanwhile my truck is at risk every time I drive it.
NHTSA Recall Number 23V896 has had two promise dates from Ford that have come and gone. There is currently no updated information on when this will be fixed. There is no acceptable excuse for this. It's not that hard to resolve.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, there was a large stain on the ground. The contact moved the vehicle and checked, and became aware that there was a new oil stain on the ground where the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the low-pressure fuel pump had failed. The dealer advised the contact to no longer drive the vehicle due to safety concerns. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.
I bought a used Ford f-150 from Toyota used care dealership on [XXX]. On [XXX] while vehicle was being driven on [XXX], north of Santa Clarita, on the way down to San Diego. I was in the backseat, my friend who was the driver notified me. That we had to pull over and check because he was noticing smoke, then we pulled over and the truck was leaking a fluid that was on fire for about 20 minutes. We had exited the vehicle, called 911, the fire then stopped after about 20 minutes. The fire department came and then put out a small fire within the truck. We then had to wait on the side of the rode for 5 hours waiting for a tow truck to pull the truck. I got the truck towed to a ford service center because the truck still had new vehicle manufacturer warranty with Ford. The truck was given full warranty and Ford covered the damages and fixed the vehicle giving it the green light in there service report. I then waited until March 4th 2025 to receive my truck back. On [XXX], the truck was being driven down southband the [XXX], on the [XXX], again due to smoke and also hearing a loud banging, my friends had to pull over and the truck is going to be towed to the service center which it was first fixed. Twice while driving my vehicle, the on board display screen will start to flicker and then show multiple lines going through it to where you can’t see anything on the screen. You have to turn the vehicle off and then turn it back on to reset it. It looks almost as if it were a flatscreen TV that had been punched.
Deafening sound emitted from speakers in vehicle while driving. Events are as follows: Volume stuck on 0 (minimum) changed source from wireless CarPlay Spotify IOS to FM. Popping started. No volume adjustment possible. Source change did not fix. On/off button did not fix. Key cycle with door open did not fix. Several attempts. Audio turns off, but with ignition immediately starts popping. Drove for at least 1 minute to safe spot while the popping/ static continued at max volume. Disconnected negative terminal on battery. The only way to fix the issue. Ears still ringing after two hours.
Still waiting for a fix. Been over a year for a fix but still nothing.
Sudden, loud static and crackling noises emitting from the B/O Unleashed sound system. It was so sudden, loud and startling, I could see it scaring a driver enough to make them panic and cause an accident. I was concerned that it was going to blow the speakers.
While driving at high speeds (over 50 mph) transmission shifts down to a lower gear and then shifts back up.
This is a 2022 Ford F15 . In 2023 ,at 34000 miles the tranfer case broke down in the middle of the road, waiting at a stop light. The truck needed to be towed. The dealer fixed it under the warranty. In 2024 at 57000 miles ,the same transfer case broke down as i was getting out of my driveway. Again it was towed to the dealer. In Feb 2025 i drove out of state and i observed a white smoke behing me. I stoped at a rest area and discover the the undercarriage is full of oil and the transmission got overheated. When I got back home i saw a lot of oil spots from the trans on my driveway. Now the car is at the dealer again. The worst part is even if I had an appointment 2 weeks later from the date i called, representative told me it will take another 2 weeks to fix the trans! Every time the truck was at the dealer it took 2 weeks to get fixed and every time they told me theyy don’t have a loaner. That is my work truck and i can’t miss 2 weeks of work! I asked the representative what is going on with a car that is still under warranty and the transfer case broke twice in 2 years. The answer was that Ford knows about this problem but they do not have a solution to fix it properly. I asked him what I’m suppose to do after the warranty runs out? Same guy told me that Ford will issue a recall and as long as there is a recall they will fix it with no extra charge but there is no recall on transfer cases from Ford! For a truck that I paid $90000 that is not acceptable. Please let me know my options. Thank you.
The passenger side rear tail light assembly (with built in blind spot unit) has noticeable condensation in the unit. This has intermittently caused a hyper blink situation with use of hazards and directionals, as well as causing the lamp assembly to not function at all creating a lighting and safety hazard. I have had this evaluated by the dealer, and was quoted $2,453 for a new light assembly that is not even three years old. On the [XXX] forum, there are numerous other owners that have had the same issue on either or both tail lamp assemblies. The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon entering the vehicle after a rainstorm, there was an excessive amount of water inside the vehicle on and around the front dashboard. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the front windshield bonding agent had failed, resulting in heavy water leaking inside the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V451000 (Visibility); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 35,000.
There are several issues with the truck, the worst being misfire issues while driving at highway speeds. Several times now I have been on the interstate at speeds and the truck will all of a sudden lose speed and shutter. The engine light will blink, and this will happen for a couple miles and then it goes back to normal. If you pull the codes on the truck, you get P0300, P0301, and P0305. This is in the dealership again now. The previous two times the dealership has done nothing because they can not duplicate the issue, but they do pull the codes.
Recall remedy not available. Battery issue which could cause a fire.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a fractured passenger's side rear wheel bolt. The contact was informed that the passenger's side rear wheel bolt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the parts were not available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. Issue #1 Transmission while going up steep incline and gears go from gear 10th to 9th gear there is a hard thump, dealership says they will not do anything if it passes their clutch pack test. Issue #2 rear driver shock absorber was replaced at 38,000 miles due to leakage. 4k miles(1month) later the new shocks paint is wore off and has the same markings the old one has, this will cause premature failure and premature rusting. The sock absorber on the other side has no markings and paint is fine (42k Miles old) This may be due to a defective bolt Bolt (w720200 S440 nut I had to have replaced as it was missing..Then few months later the shock absorber went out and was charged ($358 for repair) now I have a premature wearing part installed again seems to be an overall issue with back end suspension
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted while the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, while releasing the accelerator pedal to decelerate, the transmission unexpectedly upshifted. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
(2022 Ford F150 Supercrew XLT) The sunroof wind deflector screen that pops up when you open the sunroof broke at 75mph and could have caused an accident or killed a motorcyclist. The vehicle only has 38000 miles on it. I observed that the wind screen was attached to the roof by 4 small screws. The product is made of plastic and cannot sustain highway driving. I observed another complain on the internet at 70mph same thing. Mullinex Ford of Apopka Fl is where the vehicle was purchased. I believe the screen should be made of metal to prevent it from breaking. I am terrified of replacing it because I am certain it will break again. website part #fl3z-16500a26-c.
It was the transmission. It downshifted at a high speed going down the highway. Took it to the dealership and they said they could see it downshifted but had no fix for it or did not know why.
The panoramic sunroof on 2022 Ford F150 spontaneously exploded while traveling down a smooth road with no traffic around.
Loud noise like bomb went off when started vehicle then static in radio speakers wouldn’t stop. I have a 2022 ford f150 lariat with B&O unleashed speakers. Lots of complaints and told to report this issue. Radio came on next day but scared it will happen again.
2022 Ford F-150. The vehicle displays a warning message that reads, "Trailer Disconnected" continuously. It comes on as soon as the engine is started and comes back on as quickly as I can press the "OK" button to make it go away. I have taken the truck to the dealer for repairs four times so far and it still comes back. I have paid to have the trailer break control module reprogrammed as well as having a new one installed. The Ford web site lists this as a recall for the '22 F-150 but not for my specific VIN so it would appear the problem is larger than they know. Here is the link to Ford's description of the recall: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
We were told, our truck had a loss of fuel pressure and flow from the fuel tank due to fuel pump failure. This can cause a lack of fuel delivery to the engine and result in an engine stall while driving. That’s what happened to us. Prior to fuel pump failure, we experienced poor engine performance (misfiring or running rough), a check engine light, and a reduction in engine power. The engine stalled while driving on the highway and increased the risk of a crash being stuck on the side of the road up a hill like we were. I was reaching out to see if we are able to get a refund.
Transmission issue starting at 60,000 miles with minor miss-shifts and hard shifting brought the truck in at 71,000 miles to get looked at after seizing had occurred. Initial incident occurred about two months before I brought the truck in where I put the truck in reverse and it would lock up the transmission, it would do one revolution and stop. We put the truck in drive. It would unload the whole drive train and get stuck. One revolution going forward, proceeded to put the truck in park it would decompress the drivetrain this would happen 3 to 4 times before the transmission would release and allow you to drive normally took the truck into the shop. They opened up the transmission and found that the CFD drum had ruptured causing the transmission to intermittently lock up
