Recall Number: 23S65 issued 12-22-2023 Parts are still NOT available. Ford Company does not seem to be making any effort at all to fix this safety recall. Dealers I've contacted have no idea when parts will be available. This is unacceptable.

I contacted the local ford dealer, Seekins in Fairbanks Alaska. The dealership wanted to make an appointment to address the recalls next DECEMBER -- this April 2026. What's the point of a safety recall if they won't timely address them?
After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train). The contact stated that while making a left turn, there was a loud popping sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The accelerator pedal was depressed, and there was a grinding sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle rolled to a stop on the side of the road. The vehicle was shifted into park(P), and the vehicle was inspected. The vehicle was towed to the workplace and then towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear hub bolt had fractured from the axle, and the splines were ground off the hub. The contact was informed that the rear driveshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
Electronic parking brake warning was coming on and parking brake was inoperative during this period of time. Vehicle is at the dealership now and diagnosed with corroded and broken wires in the left rear harness for the parking brake. Ford will not assist with this repair even though it is very similar to the problem involving recall 23S35 which inspects and replaces this same harness due shorting out wires which could cause the parking brake to lock up while driving

The 12v battery on these vehicles are severely strained or defective AGM batteries have been used since vehicle inception in 2022. Dozens of reports from owners show "system off to save battery" error codes and 12v symptoms such as inoperable multi-function displays, especially in cold weather. After replacing the OEM 12v battery, i have pictures showing the bulging the battery has suffered. Again, these errors are experienced by dozens, if not hundreds of owners and could lead to serious injury because the 12v battery operates all electronics in the vehicle.
Bolt in the hood latch fell out and nearly causing the hood to open on the interstate.
The electronic brake booster system failed while driving the vehicle causing the brakes to lock up and almost caused a collision with a tree putting me and my family in danger. Car was towed to the dealer and confirmed electronic brake booster failure. There were no prior warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to the failure during the operation of the vehicle. All warning first appeared after the failure.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, there was an exploding sound coming from the vehicle. The contact became aware that the front glass panel in the panoramic sunroof had shattered without impact. The contact pulled over and discovered that shattered glass was all over the sunroof liner. The vehicle was initially driven back to the residence, and the hole in the glass was covered. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where the failure was confirmed. However, the contact was informed that there were no recalls or warranties on the vehicle to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided with a case number. The failure mileage was 36,793.
Recall Number 25V512 was issued August 11, 2025. It is now seven months later and my local dealer is still unable to obtain the parts for this recall. My dealer is Newberg Ford in Newberg, OR 97132
Vehicle has open unrepaired safety recall 25S82 / NHTSA 25V512 for rear axle hub bolt failure. Contacted [XXX] Ford in Fort Myers FL on two separate occasions. Both times told parts are unavailable and I would be placed on a callback list. No callback has been received. Recall remains unrepaired. VIN [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I am reporting a serious safety defect in my 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew (EcoBoost engine. The oil pressure warning light suddenly illuminated, indicating a loss of oil pressure. Immediately after, the engine suffered catastrophic failure (it "blew the engine"). At the same moment, with no input from me, the gear shifter automatically shifted from Drive into Park. This caused the transmission to lock up, resulting in violent skidding and the truck veering off the road. I was able to regain control and avoid a collision or rollover, but the incident created an imminent risk of serious injury or fatality, especially while towing. I have maintained it properly, never missed a payment on the $74,000 truck, and drove it cross-country from Arizona to Florida without prior issues. Ford Motor Company has claimed there were "70 warnings" prior to the failure, but I received **zero** dashboard warnings, lights, messages, or indications at any point leading up to or during the event. This is the second Ford F-150 I have owned with unexplained powertrain problems. I traded a 2018 F-150 for the platinum & it repeatedly stalled without reason & required the engine to cool before restarting; dealerships (FL & TN) could not fully diagnose it, with one suggesting an oil-pump-related overheating issue despite no warning lights. Repair estimates are extremely high: Gator Ford quoted $17,000, Brandon Ford quoted $14,000, Veterans Ford quoted $12,000, and an independent shop quoted $12,000 (notably, the independent shop knew the dealership quotes without me providing them). I believe this points to a potential defect in the EcoBoost engine's oil pump system (possibly excessive pressure or failure under load/towing) combined with an unintended shift-to-Park function in the transmission/shifter electronics, creating a dangerous loss of control at highway speeds while towing. This combination of sudden engine seizure and automatic shift to Park poses an unreasonable risk of crash.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was forced to place the vehicle into 4WD which allowed the contact to drive the vehicle; however, there was an abnormal grinding and popping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,653.
Ford F-150 Rear Axle and Hub Replacement: It has been 130 days since I received Safety Recall Notice 25S82 / NHTSA Recall 25V512 from Ford stating parts were available and to contact my local dealer for repairs. I did so and they told me they do not have the parts I have followed up with them three times and I am still waiting for parts. Should these part fail on the highway it could leave me stranded or worst case scenario I could lose control and crash. I need NHTSA to put pressure on for to get this done!
Rear axle component failed on my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat. Vehicle completely lost mobility and would not move. We were stranded on a dangerous freeway exit. A recall repair for issue was performed. A second failure of the axle was later discovered during tire service. This is a repeat failure of a major drivetrain component and raises significant safety concerns. Additionally, the first failure was very traumatic. We had just left the funeral home preparing for my 15 year old daughters funeral. The freeway exit it left us stranded at was unsafe to remain in the vehicle. In order to be safe, we had to go stand in a cemetery. Having this component fail just after a year of being fixed is a serious ongoing safety concern.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH and hauling a trailer, the rear brake lights failed to illuminate. There were several messages displayed related to the trailer connection and brake lights. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the trailer was difficult to control, and the display screen inside the vehicle was flashing off and on. The vehicle was driven back to a storage facility. While reversing and attempting to park the trailer, the message that the trailer was disconnected from the vehicle was displayed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted and informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V104000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
While driving my 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor, the vehicle suddenly lost throttle response. The accelerator pedal produced no response and the engine would not rev even though the vehicle remained powered on. A battery warning light briefly illuminated at the time of the incident. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop, but during the event the steering wheel became locked or extremely stiff and the vehicle did not respond normally to inputs. After stopping, I placed the truck in park and was unable to shift the transmission back out of park. The vehicle appeared to remain powered on but multiple systems were not responding. After pressing the start/stop button and cycling the vehicle, the issue cleared and the truck began operating normally again. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had already been scheduled to go to the dealership because it had been displaying numerous warning lights and diagnostic codes across multiple systems, totaling approximately 30 alerts. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealership reported codes indicating a network communication issue between vehicle modules but stated they were unable to reproduce the failure and no repair was performed. The dealership has requested that I take possession of the vehicle despite the unresolved cause of this failure. Given the loss of throttle response and steering function while the vehicle was in motion, I currently feel the vehicle is unsafe to operate until the underlying issue is identified and corrected. A sudden loss of throttle response and steering control while the vehicle is in motion creates a significant risk of collision, particularly in traffic or at highway speeds. The fact that the failure temporarily cleared after cycling the vehicle suggests a potential intermittent electronic or communication failure affecting critical vehicle control systems.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
⸻ Highlight Summary: My 2023 Ford F-150 (VIN: [XXX] ) has intermittent rear tail lamps, brake lights, turn signals, and backup lights failure due to water intrusion. The right side has completely failed; the left side is beginning to fail, creating a serious safety hazard at night or in low visibility. Both the dealership and Ford Customer Assistance have avoided returning calls and are denying responsibility, and this is a common problem nationwide. ⸻ Complaint – 2023 Ford F-150 Rear Lighting Failure •Vehicle: 2023 Ford F-150, VIN [XXX] , ~73,000 miles •Issue: Intermittent rear tail lamps, brake lights, turn signals, and backup lights failure due to water intrusion •Right side: completely failed; left side: starting to fail •Safety Risk: Creates serious hazard at night/low visibility, increasing risk of rear-end collisions •Dealership: D-Patrick Ford Superstore, Evansville, Indiana, E. While accelerating from a stop light, my 2023 F-150 Powerboost failed to properly accelerate and my gas pedal stopped working around 20-25 mph. I reported this to the Ford dealership immediately and drove straight to service bay. The failure repeated 3-4 more time before arriving. There was no engine light or error code so the dealership couldn't "fix anything". 16 hours later, the truck engine struggled to stay running, my gas pedal wouldn't engage again, I couldn't accelerate, and I had it towed to the dealership. I'm being told the Fuel Pump Driver Module failed and that it's not covered under the powertrain warranty - my concern is that this failed module creates a significant safety risk which leaves the vehicle inoperable while driving but Ford is treating it as a minor failure and not covering under warranty.
The sunroof of my vehicle burst while I was driving on the highway. There was no warning and the vehicle was not hit by anything. The glass shattered and came into the truck cabin. Air starting getting in the vehicle as well. It was a dangerous situation as I was driving and glass was coming in. The vehicle was towed to the dealership. The dealership is refusing to repair the vehicle and they can’t confirm why the sunroof broke. The glass is caved outward. I have filed a claim with my insurance company to have the vehicle repaired.
I’ve been advised by McGovern Ford in Massachusetts that I need ABS Module and an Electronic Brake Booster and it isn’t covered by any warranty. Yet it’s a safety hazard and the truck is only 2 1/2 years old. Why would those 2 items need to be replaced on a newer truck.
Rear passenger seat heater shorted out and burnt through seat cushion and and sleeping bag. We ripped the seat out and taped up the power cables. The vehicle has not been to a dealer as our local dealer sold / closed within the last year. There were no warnings before this issue.
The moonroof on our F-150 exploded going down the interstate. Nothing was hit and it sounded like a gunshot. The headliner remains intact with no damage and glass blew out at an upward angle. We submitted to Ford for a warranty claim but they denied it. Based on my research this is a known problem from Ford and they are not addressing it.

I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck. I called Stanley Ford where I bought the truck to get the recall fixed. They told me they had the part and would get it out the next day (Friday) because I was leaving that Sunday on a work trip. They called me on Friday and said the part they had was for another vehicle and it would be 3-4 mths before they would have the part and I couldn't drive the truck. The software was not updating (even with a battery change) and I asked them to reset since we changed the battery. They told me it would $400 plus to fix that. They have not offered a vehicle for me to drive and neither has Ford. Ford was called and everything was explained to them. I am without a vehicle, with no real estimated time on when I will get my truck back and nothing has been done. No loaner, no paying for my truck since I do not have it. I have been without a vehicle for a month and 1/2. I work a full time job. I have a statement from repair shop and pic, but it won't let me upload.
My vehicle is experiencing all of the systems of the current ford recall. "Trailer lighting module fault. " rapid blinker. Etc. for whatever reason it is not listed in the vehicles to be recalled. Thus making it very difficult to get fixed at the dealership. Need this taken care of asap!
See attached document for complaint. On January 6th, I wrote to you expressing my concerns about Ford’s failure to address a known safety recall (Safety Recall Notice #25S82/NHTSA Recall 25V512) for my 2023 Ford F-150. To date, I have received no response to my initial inquiry which prompts me to send this second letter. In fact, I am writing this letter as I sit in my local Ford dealership for routine maintenance service. At check-in today, I again requested that they determine if my vehicle was in need of the repair specified in the safety recall. Again, I was told “sorry, but Ford is not sending us the necessary parts, so there is nothing we can do at this point”. They said that I should periodically check back with them. I reminded them that I was put on a waiting list for these parts. I have included a copy of my original letter to Ford, so I will not repeat all my concerns. I believe it is important to fully document the facts and my repeated attempts to resolve this matter so that there will be a clear trail of evidence should this unaddressed and known safety recall ever create subsequent safety issues for me or my family. How a company with the size and reputation of Ford can issue a safety recall and then not provide the means to correct a known safety problem is unfathomable. The safety recall notice clearly states that the vehicle “...may roll in park without the parking brake applied, or, alternatively, lose motive power, both of which can increase the risk of a crash”. It then goes on to state that “parts are now available to repair your vehicle”. Frankly, I do not know if parts are in fact available, but my dealership has made it clear that they are not getting these parts. It has now been three months since I first attempted to remedy this matter. For Ford to effectively ignore this known safety issue seems to me to create a serious potential for liability. However, I will leave that to legal counsel should this ever result in injury or accident to my family. Also, I called the Ford Recall Ass

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that the parts were on back order. A complaint was filed with manufacturer. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Ford is not providing parts for this safety recall. I am forced to drive this truck with a safety issue.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received a second notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train), that the recall repair was available for the recall repair; however, upon contacting the dealer to schedule the recall repair, the contact was informed that the part was on a national backorder. The contact stated that the manufacturer's second recall notification provided false information. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken to a dealer for maintenance, and was diagnosed and determined that there was a sheared off bolt in the hub cap. The contact was advised not to drive the vehicle, and the vehicle remained at the dealer for approximately one month. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.
Complete electrical shut down driving on the highway on two separate occasions. While driving engine shuts off, dash board goes black, infotainment center goes black. Required to shift vehicle into park to restart after occurrence. Huge safety risk! When taken to Ford service; unable to find any issues and was told “vehicle is safe to drive”
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train), and the vehicle was taken to the local dealer and to Sedano Ford (8970 La Mesa Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91942), where it was determined that the rear axle bolts needed to be replaced; however, the parts to do the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was unreachable and was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
Took my truck into a Ford dealership for an oil change and they gave me a part that broke off the left rear hub. Talked to service dept they said safe to drive unless I hear knocking from the back of vehicle. Also the part to fix it is unavailable. My concern is they said it's ok to drive but the wheel could come off of the axle.
Yesterday I went to pull straight out of my parking spot after I switched from park to drive and the steering was completely locked up, so I put it in reverse to get back into my parking spot .I then put it back into park, turned the truck off waited for a few seconds turned it back on and it was fine to drive home . No service lights came on.
I experience a failure related to Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 Recall Status Recall Incomplete I had this recall completed 7/29/25 at Faricy Boys Ford in Salida, CO On 01/13/2026 this repair/parts failed while I was traveling. I had to have my truck towed to Phil Long Ford in Raton, NM for repair. I was told this was a result of the recall and it would be covered . However, they still cannot give me an eta for parts and repair. They also do not have rentals or loaners and there are no car rentals in Raton, NM. Neither the dealership or Ford Customer Service have authorized a rental for me yet. I am a full time RV'er with my travel trailer parked in Las Cruces, NM for the winter. I returned here 1/14 by renting a Uhaul van which was ridiculously expensive and have been here in Las Cruces since then, with no means of transportation. The dealership initially told me the last one of these recalls took 5 weeks for parts. When the parts fail the rear axle disengages from the drive line. You cannot move, and in park the truck rolls. This recall has been going for a couple of years and there are no replacement parts available. I will need transportation to move my trailer to a new job in Colorado before the end of April. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
On 3 separate occasions, while traveling at highway speeds on the NJ Garden State Parkway in the left lane, my truck’s service engine light soon wrench would come on out of nowhere, the throttle would cut out, and the gas pedal would go limp and unresponsive. The only way to get it operational again was to turn the truck off, let it sit for 10-15 min to drain the computers, and restart. Imagine doing 70-75 mph in the left most lane and you lose all throttle and have to get your vehicle all the way to the right shoulder without the ability to speed up to avoid being hit in the process. Now imagine that same thing happening 3 times within a month. The dealership found failed factory power train wiring and a failed gateway module. This truck’s a 2023 with 50k highway miles. Shouldn’t be failing like this. Now it’s been at the dealership for 3 weeks…..
Cabin coolant heater failed. Windshield would not properly defrost. This was recalled in our same model year with production dates through August 31 and our truck was produced on October 2.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V512000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. "When driving on Interstate 15 in Draper/Bluffdale, external electronic interference forcefully disconnects the vehicle's infotainment and safety displays. This causes the main screen to go black, reboot, or freeze while moving at highway speeds (70+ MPH). This creates an immediate distraction hazard and disables navigation instructions during high-speed traffic flow. The vehicle's shielding is insufficient to protect the driver from this predictable external interference, leading to a recurring safety hazard in a known dead zone."
On 1/6 2026 and again on 1/19/2026 the vehicle camera display turned blue while the vehicle was operating in reverse. The camera eventually returned to normal operation. The condition cannot be reproduced on demand.
I was driving on highway at 60 mph when drivers side rear window suddenly shattered. It was very confusing what was going on until my wife said that the window shattered. Luckily, no on was in that seat since there was glass everywhere. I dont believe anything hit the window, there was no indication something was wrong intil the shatter noise.
WE ACCELERATING IN THIS VEHICLE AND YOU LET YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL, IT CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE FOR AT LEAST 1-2 SECONDS CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, IF THE VEHICLE DOES NOT DE-ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL, IT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN…VERY, VERY DANGEROUS.
I first received notification from Ford concerning this Safety Recall but despite calls to numerous dealers throughout the area no parts as as yet , January 5th, are available to make the repairs. It has been 8 months since the Safety Recall was sent out. This is well past a reasonable time for Ford to have the parts available.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the contact's son was driving, the steering wheel failed to steer in the intended direction, and the steering wheel seized. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred while the contact's son was driving on a busy three-lane highway. The contact's vehicle crashed into another vehicle. No injuries were sustained. A Police report was filed. The contact was informed by the tow truck driver that the steering wheel had seized and the vehicle was inoperable to drive. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. In addition, the contact stated that the contact's vehicle and the other vehicle were both damaged; however the contact was still waiting for the insurance adjuster. The contact was advised by the insurance company to contact the NHTSA Hotline and report the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
