Data synced from NHTSA on May 4, 2026
Our 2025 Ford F-150 experienced a complete instrument cluster failure immediately following a manufacturer-initiated over-the-air software update. Component/System Failure: The instrument cluster/display failed completely. The speedometer, fuel gauge, warning lights, and all critical driving information are inoperable. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: This creates a serious safety hazard because the driver cannot monitor speed, fuel level, or warning indicators, increasing the risk of unsafe operation. Event Details: After the update installed overnight, the dashboard display was nonfunctional upon startup. The vehicle was operating normally prior to the update, and the failure occurred immediately afterward with no other issues. Inspection/Confirmation: The vehicle was taken to Southwest Ford dealership, where the issue was confirmed. We were told it is an electrical problem requiring repair. The dealership also stated another vehicle there had the same issue following an update. Manufacturer Response: The vehicle has approximately 46,000 miles and is out of warranty. We were quoted about $1,500 for repair. We opened a case with Ford Motor Company (Case #CCH-07666598-Q6Y1R3), but coverage was denied. Prior Warnings: There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure. We believe this may indicate a defect in the software update system that could affect other vehicles and pose a broader safety risk. We request investigation and appropriate action.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his wife was in the process of parking the vehicle on the side of the street, the driver released the accelerator pedal; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended, jolted forward, and hit one unoccupied and parked vehicle, and hit another occupied vehicle stopped at the stop light. The air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained nerve pain, causing the fingers to become numb, and the driver sustained headaches, back, hips, and shoulder pain. It was unknown whether the other driver sustained injuries. The contact's wife drove to an emergency room after the collision and received medical assistance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an auto collision repair shop, where it was serviced for the collision damage. An independent mechanic had diagnosed the vehicle with a one-pedal driving system and ABS failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the insurance company for assistance. The failure mileage was 13,290.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The digital dash cluster will randomly blank out while driving. After it sits for aboutba few hrs parked, it will turn back on just to repeat it down the road again. I tried bring it up with the dealership a few times and I was told they aren't able to replicate the issue and it's within factory spec. This is extremely dangerous since this creates issues of not knowing how fast the vehicle is going, and no indicators of what the truck is doing.
The truck had been parked in our driveway for approximately 24 hrs when my wife went to the drivers side door to retrieve something that she had left in the center console. After she retrieved what she was looking for she pushed the door closed and the rear window spontaneously and completely shattered. There had been no prior damage whatsoever. The vehicle was towed to our Ford dealership on March 17th. The service manager at our dealership submitted our warranty claim to Ford and then informed us ~36 hrs later that Ford had not issued any TSBs or SSMs for the 2024 rear window or related parts / functions and therefore would decline to repair the rear window. We have asked them to resubmit the claim because we were not satisfied with Ford declining it. It is now April 2nd and we still have not heard back.
Have had the truck for 11 months (since new) I have never had the issue. The display (for radio, navigation etc.) just started switching to a different screen. I was using the navigation and the screen switched to display radio information without being touched. When I switched to Google Maps from car play. The map just froze up and would not unfreeze until I turned off the truck and restarted. Had I been going somewhere and was depending on the navigation system. I could have been in a situation that could have caused an accident. Ford engineers are saying this is normal!
While I was driving, my instrument panel went dark, as if it were turned off. I could no longer see my odometer. Turning the car off and on did not resolve the issue. After the car was off for a half hour or so, the problem was no longer happening. Problem occurred on March 10, 2026. Only happened once so far. Will be taking to dealer for analysis.
I was involved in a rear end collision where I was at fault. I suspect the ADAS in my 2024 F-150 malfunctioned because it did not prevent the collision. I impacted the rear of a minivan at approximately 20 mph. The ADAS did not take evasive action. Previously I have had nuisance activations of the visual and aural warnings for the pre-collision system, followed by a warning message that radar guided cruise control was not available.
I have 4 of the Nuna revv car seats. 2 of these seats have malfunctioned and are stuck in the forward facing position and Will not rotate once the release handle is pressed. I contacted the manufacturer and they stated the seat is two years old and not covered under warranty. And I have an option to purchase a new seat for 400$. I feel like this is extremely unsafe. My son still rear faces and I was forced to put him forward facing on the drive home.
As I went to reverse to pull out of a parking area, the truck accelerated, I applied the brakes and the truck continued going dragging the front tires at one point. I decided at the last min to attempt to put the truck in neutral or park and at that time it was stopped between two trees. This could of been very bad if my kids were in the yard playing or many other scenarios. The 2024 F150 is still at the dealership waiting on approval to do body work. We have requested they run diagnostics or telemetry on the trucks systems to verify the problem but after a month that has not been done yet.
Instrument cluster has started to flicker when driving. Have had incidents where instrument cluster freezes while driving and a blank black screen when first starting. Whenever the screen freezes or turns black, turning the vehicle off and on again fixes the issue. It seems that the flickering is intermittent. Has recently become more frequent and why I wanted the dealership to take a look. They're now asking for video proof. As soon as I have that I'm going to return to dealership. I'm making this complaint because it seems to be a well-known issue with no fix in most cases. My dealership has contacted Ford engineering and they have asked for video proof.

I was in a accident where I was going a okay speed in traffic where suddenly the car in front of me brakes and my emergency brakes did not activate so I had to slam on mines to avoid impact but the car behind me hit me causing me to impact the car in front and with no airbag deployment from impact in back and front. Causing me later with neck and head pain.
After operating the vehicle normally and backing into a parking space, I stopped the vehicle and selected Park, turned the vehicle off, and exited. Before the driver’s door was closed, the vehicle began to roll forward unexpectedly. I ran back to the vehicle and reentered it to regain control, with the driver’s door still open and the seatbelt not fastened. After stopping the vehicle, I selected Reverse, at which point the vehicle surged backward unexpectedly. The open driver’s door struck another vehicle and the driver, and my vehicle continued backward, colliding with a fence and then a tree. The vehicle did not behave as expected after Park was selected, creating a serious safety risk to myself and others. Several vehicle systems appeared to malfunction or fail during the incident. The specific component or system responsible is not yet known, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection. The incident resulted in property damage and back pain, for which I later sought medical care. The vehicle has been inspected by a collision repair facility and is currently being handled through insurance. The manufacturer has been informed and stated that insurance should make determinations regarding the incident.
See attached document for complaint. The safety recall repair has been pending for over five months due to repeated parts unavailability at the authorized Ford dealership. Despite ongoing communication with the dealer and Ford Motor Company, no repair timeline or resolution has been provided. This prolonged delay involves a safety-related defect and creates an ongoing risk. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) review Ford Motor Company’s handling of this recall and its compliance with federal recall obligations.

The supernovas you use as headlights are ridiculously blinding. Stop designing vehicles on flat roads. Real roads have cuuurves and hills. It's a matter of public safety
Headlights are way too bright. They blind other drivers and make it difficult for other driver to see at night. This causes a dangerous situation in which a crash is possible.
These lights are TOO bright! Outlaw them before MF like me just simply start breaking or shooting them out. Get off your ass government, you're allowing automakers to cause uneeded accidents.
The headlights are too bright and I get "brighted" not stop.
headlights are too bright
LED Headlights are too bright and cause temporary blindness from being dazzled.
Headlights are incredibly blinding, causing other drivers to struggle with driving. This has put both me and other drivers in danger.
I reached out to the Ford Motor Company’s recall department at corporate headquarters on 1/7/2026, regarding the safety recall for my 2024 Ford F-150. My truck has been at my local dealership since November waiting for the necessary repairs. The hold-up is due to the replacement part being on back order, and I’ve been informed by a Ford representative that it won’t be available for dealerships until the third or fourth quarter of 2026. This situation is extremely concerning for me, especially since I rely on my truck to tow a travel trailer. I would like to know how we can expedite this safety recall. Can you help me with my issue with Ford? I have not found another avenue to express my safety concerns for my truck. Headlights are blinding and are unsafe. Caused me to stop in middle of road for vehicle to pass before I could see again.
This vehicles headlights are too bright and too high up on the vehicle. I am blinded anytime one is in oncoming traffic or behind me. It is a hazard while they are around because I can not see in my mirrors and have lingering spots in my eye sight long after I am away from these vehicles.
The headlights are blinding every driver on the road! These headlights do not belong on the road! Where is the regulation for headlights blinding people and making it difficult to drive at night?
The LED lights are dangerously, blindingly bright, causing oncoming traffic to lose sight of the road.

The LED lights are extremely dangerous. They impair the vision of others. This needs to be rectified.
I have a 2024 F 150 with 37,400 miles. I keep getting a Parking Sensor fault. I have a case with Ford open on this issue.
LED headlights from multiple oncoming vehicles have shined very brightly in my eyes that I've almost gone off the road more than a couple times. They don't need to be so bright! And I don't think a lot of drivers who have them really care how it affects other drivers.
The headlights are incredibly bright and I get many complaints about how bright they are.

DanvilleVA24543-0062United States1/1/2026"These lights are extremely blinding and have been the specific cause of several near accidents by a friend when I was a passenger. They should be outlawed outright. Period. Jerk drivers nowadays don't bother to dim them either. They should also force manufacturers to put all of them at the same height from the road, most especially those huge pickups that jerks drive to make themselves proud and better than everyone else, that have billion candlepower headlights blasting in your rear view mirrors that blinds everything, the road, your dashboard, your windshield, the interior of your car, as well as in the front of your face. Respectfully submitted, except for the jerk idiots who don't dim their lights even when the low lights are too bright to start with.
