Electrical system fails every day. It affects the engine, transmission, radio, windows, gauges. Wiring issue causes the radio to just go out, windows stop working, all gauges stops working, the transmission doesn't shift right, engine doesn't run right. Yes vehicle is available for inspecting. Engine cuts off and won't start back, leaves you stranded side the road. Truck stalls in front of other vehicles. Windows won't roll down when it's 100 degrees inside truck. Fuel gauge doesn't let you know when there's no fuel again leaving you stranded beside the road. Other gauge don't work could cause more damage. Yes it has been inspected my mechanic and he said there are wiring issues. No warning lamps or anything now but the wrench light has came on allot. There is a wiring recall on this year truck but said mine doesn't fall under that recall and I don't know why because I'm having this issue
Transmission has a hole in it. Linkage inside broke and caused hole on case. Can’t use item for a core due to this. Happened while driving home from just across town.
ON DECELERATION THE ENGINE STALLS AFTER DRIVEN FOR 10-15 MINUTES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. I DON'T NOTICE THE STALL UNTIL I APPLY THE GAS PEDAL. A COUPLE OF TIMES I WAS TURNING, I HAD TO SLOW DOWN SEVERELY TO GIVE ME MORE TIME TO TURN( NO POWER STEERING). I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES. THE CODE WAS A THROTTLE BODY CODE P2104.I REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. AFTER A FEW MONTHS THE STALLING OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS IS DANGEROUS. AT THIS TIME THE STALLING HASN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN BUT THE CODE IS STILL THERE, NOW I HAVE TO SMOG THIS VEHICLE. I SEE ON THE INTERNET THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS CONDITION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-250. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PLACED THE GEAR IN NEUTRAL, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (BOLAN TRANSMISSION SHOP) WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS BURNED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
NOTICED A CLOUD OF SMOKE BEHIND VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH ON HIGHWAY. UPON INSPECTION FOUND IT WAS LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID FROM HOLE IN TOP OF TRANSMISSION ONTO EXHAUST (EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS DESCRIBED IN FORD BULLETIN 05B27) HAD TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION AT 57,265 MILES AT A COST OF $4,000.00. FORD WOULD NOT WARRANTY IT.
WHILE AT A DEAD STOP, PLACED TRUCK IN DRIVE AND THE ENGINE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO FULL POWER LUNGING THE VEHICLE FORWARD 10' WHILE I SIMULTANEOUSLY APPLIED BOTH FEET TO THE BRAKE FOR MAXIMUM STOPPING POWER. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN TWO TO THREE MONTHS THIS HAS HAPPENED. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ARE ON. TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER AND WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. RESEARCHED THE INTERNET ONLY TO FIND LOTS OF OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS HUMAN ERROR, FLOOR MAT, OR SIMILAR PROBLEM... BUT THIS LAST TIME, I WAS PREPARED BECAUSE OF PREVIOUS INCIDENTS. THIS PROBLEM CAN CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT AND MAY EVEN RESULT IN DEATH. *TR
2005 FORD F250 SD HAD CRACKED TRANSMISSION BECUASE OF LOW/REVERSE SNAP RING FAILURE IN THE 5R110 TORQSHIFT TRANSMISSION. FORD ISSUED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 05B27 BUT PUT AN EXPIRATION DATE ON IT. THE PROGRAM WAS NOT EVER FOR A WHOLE YEAR. FORD IS NOT WILLING TO REIMBURSE OR ISSUE A RECALL WHEN THEY KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM. THE SNAP RING FAILED INSIDE AND BUSTED MY TRANSMISSION. ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS TRANSMISSION. *TR

THE CONTACT IS A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN AND CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE TRANSMISSION SNAP RING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION AT THIS TIME. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERNS OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 42,000.

A SNAP RING INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION FAILS ALLOWING THE PLANET TO SHIFT FORWARD BREAKING HOUSING TABS OFF CAUSING A EXTERNAL LEAK OF TRANSMISSION FLUID TO OTHER VEHICLES DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD,NO WARNING A TRANSMISSION MAY LOCK UP CAUSING SAFETY CONCERNS, FORD HAS RECOGNIZED THE SITUATION BEFORE AND SENT A INTERNAL NOTICE TO MECHANICS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, NO RECALL WAS EVER SENT. TRUCKS BETWEEN 90,000 AND 120,000 HAVE THIS PROBLEM, FORD SAID I WAS FIRST EVER COMPLAINT, WHICH IS A LIE, I HAVE FOUND THROUGH RESEARCH EARLY 2004 THROUGH 2006 MODELS HAVE THIS PROBLEM OF FAILURE WITHOUT NOTICE. FORD HOPES FOR THESE TO GET PAST WARRANTY SO CUSTOMER HAS TO PAY A OUTRAGEOUS SUM TO FIX, SO FAR I HAVE FOUND 40 CASES RESULTING THIS SITUATION IN MY AREA ALONE AND MAINLY 9/10 ARE FORD F250S. I SEEN THE INTERNAL COMMUNICATION BUT WAS DENIED A COPY OF IT. MY SERVICE ADVISOR AT SILSBEE FORD SHOWED ME. ALSO THIS PART IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY, AND FORD DENIES EVER HAVING THIS PROBLEM, THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME WAS SHOWERED WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID ALMOST RESULTING IN A CRASH BECAUSE IT SMEARED ON HER WINDSHIELD TO THE POINT THAT SHE COULD NOT SEE. NO WARNING ,SO SOUND, I DROVE ANOTHER 20 MILES BEFORE I NOTICED A MAJOR SLIP IN SHIFTING AND DISCOVERED A LEAK. THE TRANNY FLUID SPRAYED ALL OVER THE EXHAUST PIPE SMOKING AND A STENCH OF BURNING TRANNY FLUID. *TR
