WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
THIS QUESTIONNAIRE IS COMPLICATED. THERE ARE PROBLEMS TOO NUMEROUS TO LIST ALL HERE. THIS VEHICLE HAS REAR END PROBLEMS, ENGINE,DIESEL EXHAUST, FUMES INSIDE TRUCK' CUPPING OF THE TIRES AND FRONT END PROBLEMS. THE TOWING POWER IS TERRIBBLE. CRUISE CONTROL KICKS OFF IF TRUCK IS IN A PULL ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. LOSS OF POWER LIKE ENGINE DIES WHEN YOU PULL OFF FROM STOP. DEALER IS TRYING TO FIX, BUT SO FAR NO LUCK. DEALER HAS ASK REGIONAL TO CONTACT US WITH NO RESPONSE. THEY HAVE CALLED ALMOST EVERYDAY FOR TWO WEEKS. KNOW SEVERAL OTHER OWNER OF F350 WITH SAME PROBLEMS. A SPRING KEEPS POPPING OUT OF CLUTCH DISC AND JAMMING IT. CONSUMER HAD CLUTCH REPLACED 4 TIMES. CAUSE IS UNKNOWN. *AK

BECAUSE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE IS BUILT INTO THE ARM REST, WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO THE HANDLE, THE DOOR WILL SLING OPEN. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK

DEALER STATES THAT THE REPAIR PART FOR THIS RECALL IS ON A SIX MONTH BACK ORDER. *AK
BLIND SPOT PORTION ON DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR POINTS TO LEFT REAR WHEELS. BLIND SPOT MIRRORS ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE. CONSUMER CANNOT MOVE MIRROR TO BE ABLE TO SEE OTHER CARS. ALSO, RIGHT BLIND SPOT MIRROR DOES NOT GIVE THE PROPER VIEW, UNABLING DRIVER TO SEE OTHER VEHICLES, WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.*AK *ML
CONSUMER BOUGHT VEHICLE NEW. TWO DAYS LATER, SHE NOTICED THAT TIRE TREAD WAS WARPED. EVERY 8000 MILES SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE TIRES, AND FRONT END HAD TO BE REALIGNED. ALSO, STEERING WAS HARD TO STEER. *AK
EXTENDED DRIVER SIDE OUTSIDE WIDE ANGLE MIRROR DOES NOT PROVIDE THE VIEW THE DRIVER NEEDS. *AK BECAUSE THE MIRROR IS POORLY DESIGNED, IT IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO SEE VEHICLES IN ADJACENT LANES DURING CHANGING LANES. *YH
CLUTCH WILL FAIL WHEN SHIFTING FROM HIGH TO LOW.PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
V10 ENGINES: IN RAINY CONDITIONS WATER WILL GET INTO AIR FILTER, CAUSING A LOSS OF POWER. FORD HAS TOLD CONSUMER THAT THERE WILL BE KIT. CONSUMER HAS BEEN WAITING FOR THE KIT SINCE MAY, BUT PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR ANOTHER 6 WEEKS.*AK
THE TRUCK IS BEING BOUGHT BACK BY FORD; SO I DON'T KNOW THE SIZE / MAKE; I'M 99% SURE IT WAS FIRESTONE TIRES ON THE TRUCK. THE THREAD WRAPPED AROUND THE FRONT SUSPENSION THEREBY LOCKING THE TIRE FROM MOVING CAUSING ALMOST LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE (I'VE RACED STOCK CARS 10 YEARS AND AM FAIRLY USED TO BLOWOUTS, THIS WAS FAR MORE VIOLENT THAN ANYTHING I'VE EVER FELT IN A RACE CAR). THE TIRE WRAPPED AROUND THE FRONT SUSPENSION DAMAGING THE FENDER, INNER FENDER WELL, BRAKE LINE AND POWER STEERING LINES. THE TIRE COULD NOT BE GOTTEN OFF THE TRUCK UNTIL SEVERAL HOURS OF WORK IT WAS WRAPPED AROUND THINGS SO BAD. THE VEHICLE IS IN TN WHERE THE TIRE BLEW OUT; I LEFT IT THERE FOR FORD TO DECIDE TO BUY BACK OR NOT AS IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AFTER THIS WITH THE DAMAGE, NOT TO MENTION WE DIDN'T TRUST THE OTHER TIRES ON THE TRUCK AFTER THIS. THE TIRE WAS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK (IN THE BED), HOWEVER AS I SAID; FORD IS BUYING BACK THE VEHICLE (ALTHOUGH I DON'T HAVE THAT IN WRITING YET; ONLY VERBAL CONFIRMATION). THE TIRE LOOKS WORSE THAN ANY OF THE PICTURES ON CNN TODAY OF BLOWOUTS, IT'S WORTH GETTING A PICTURE OF. THE PASSENGER AND MYSELF HAVE NO INJURIES NOR CLAIMS AGAINST FIRESTONE / FORD FOR THE PROBLEM; OTHER THAN THE PASSENGERS ALMOST HEART ATTACK (WE HAD TRACTOR TRAILERS SURROUNDING US IN FRONT, BEHIND AND TO THE RIGHT). PS: THE TRUCK HAD NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS WITH CLUTCH NOT WORKING, BRAKES, AND ENGINE PROBLEMS; HENCE THE BUY BACK.
HAVE HAD SEVERAL MECHANICAL FAILURES ON VEHICLE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS REFUSED TO WARRANTY REPAIRS WHICH SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER 36000 MILE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY.
WHEN BRAKING UNDER A LOAD OR BRAKING HARD THE POWER BRAKES LET GO AND THE PEDAL HAS TO BE PUMPED. NLM
FRONT END WAS CAUSING TIRE TO WEAR EXCESSIVELY TO THE CORE. HAD TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP & WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC THE PROBLES WAS DUE TO THE FIFTH WHEEL. HAD THE TIRE REPLACED & SUSPENSION REALIGNED. *AK
VEHICLE WILL STALL INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING ,ALMOST ACTING AS IF IT RAN OUT OF FUEL. IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE VEHICLE WILL RESTART. WHEN VEHICLE STALLS IT WILL LOSE ALL POWER BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE CAUSE.*AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED, DRIVER WILL FEEL A VIBRATION, AT LOW SPEED A PULSATION WILL OCCUR UNDERNEATH THE PEDAL. DEALER HAS CUT ROTORS THREE TIMES AND REPLACED ROTORS THREE TIMES. *AK
WHEN DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 55 MPH SPARE TIRE CABLE BROKE FROM UNDERNEATH OF VEHICLE, CAUSING THE TIRE TO DROP DOWN ONTO HIGHWAY WHICH CAUSED A NEAR ACCIDENT. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
PARKING BRAKE IS INEFFECTIVE. WHEN APPLIED ON AN INCLINE VEHICLE STILL ROLLS. FORD HAS BEEN CONTACTED.*AK

FIRESTONE STEELTEX R45 TIRES 265 75 R16 EXPERIENCED CRACKING ON THE INSIDE WALL AND A BROKEN WIRE ON THE SIDE. *SLC
CONSUMER NOTICED PASSENGER'S RIGHT SIDE FRONTAL TIRE WAS LOSING PRESSURE, TIRE WOULD NOT STAY INFLATED. CONSUMER CONTACTED DEALER. DEALER REMOVED RIM, AND FOUND A CRACK ON INSIDE OF THE RIM ABOUT 4 INCHES LONG, CAUSING TIRE TO DEFLATE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK

LOSS OF POWER STEERING OCCURS WHEN BACKING UP TO A TRAILER AND BRAKING AT THE SAME TIME. THIS HAS OCCURRED SINCE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED NEW.*AK
ALL OF THE GOODYEAR WRANGLER RT/S LOT 235-85R16 TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE REPLACED DUE TO DRY ROT AND CRACKING. *MJS
OWNER HAS DUAL FUEL TANKS. IF FRONT TANK DOES NOT STAY FULL GAS FROM REAR TANK GOES INTO FRONT TANK. FRONT TANK RECEIVES GAS FROM REAR TANK, AND IF GAS CAP IS OPENED, FUEL WILL SPRAY OUT. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN VEHICLE. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY WHEN APPLYING BRAKES PEDAL BECOMES HARD, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER HAS INSPECTED AND REPAIRED VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, AND PROBLEM STILL OCCURS.*AK
FRONT END SHIMMIES, AND STEERING SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN DRIVING OVER A BUMP OR STEERING HARD TO THE LEFT, POSSIBLY DUE TO MISSING STABLIZER BAR. VEHICLE MUST COME TO COMPLETE STOP TO KEEP CONTROL OF VEHICLE.*AK THE MANUFACTURER STEERING STABLIZER KIT WAS INSTALLED AND REMEDIED THE STEERING WHEEL SHIMMY. *YH
LOST CONTROL AND STEERING. A MAJOR CRASH WITH FATALITY AND SERIOUS INJURIES. *AK
STEERING WANDERS. DEALER ADDED STEERING STABLIZER, BUT STILL WANDERS ALL OVER ROAD. *AK
THE PROCESSOR THAT CONTROLS EMISSIONS ON A 6.0 L V-10 WITH A 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION IN CALIFORNIA IS THE SAME PROCESSOR AS FOR AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE USE OF THIS PROCESSOR CAUSES THE ENGINE TO SURGE OR NOT REDUCE SPEED WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS RELEASED. WHEN USING THE ENGINE COMPRESSION TO SLOW DOWN, THE ENGINE WILL SURGE AND CAUDE THE VEHICLE TO SPEED-UP. THE VEHICLE IS STRESSFUL TO DRIVE IN CLOSE TRAFFIC OR IN CONGESTED PARKING LOTS. FORD WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM APPROXIAMENTLY 2 WEEKS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. FORD HAS YET TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SEEN BY NUMERIOUS FORD DEALERS IN SEVERAL STATES INCLUDING CALIFORNIA. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING SMELLED SMOKE. SOON AFTER THAT AIR CONDITIONING FAN STOPPED BLOWING . CONSUMER PULLED VEHICLE OVER, AND NOTICED SIGNS OF A FIRE MELTIG THE WIRING HARNESS. FUSE PANEL AND BLOWER SWITCH HEATER WERE REPLACED AT CONSUMER'S COST. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
FRONT A/C COVER DISINIGRATED ON US 270 WHILE DRIVING AT 65MPH, AND END UP ALL OVER THE HIGHWAY.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, CONSUMER COMPLAINS THAT THE FRONT END PULLS BADLY TO THE RIGHT, DEALER REPLACED A WORN PART ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND HAVE REALIGNED FRONT END, BUT PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *TT
VEHICLE, WHEN LOADED TO GVW, DOES NOT HAVE ADEQUATE BRAKES, FRONT WHEELS LOCK, LONG STOPPING DISTANCES, ESPECIALLY ON SLIPPERY SURFACES. BRAKE PEDAL REQUIRES EXCESSIVE FOOT PRESSURE.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING CONSUMER TIRE WAS SLOWLY DEFLATING. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND MECHANIC STATED THERE WERE PINHOLES ON RIM, CAUSING TIRE TO HAVE A SLOW LEAK. ALSO, RECOMMENDED THAT CONSUMER PURCHASE ANOTHER RIM.*AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE DRIVING IN HOT WEATHER THE VEHICLE IS HARD TO SHIFT, THIS PROBLEM ALSO OCCURS OCCASIONALLY WHEN THE WEATER IS NOT HOT, AS A RESULT THE DRIVER HAS TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF BEFORE AN ACCIDENT OCCURS. NLM
