WHILE DRIVING AFTER GET MY FORD FOCUS AFTER HAVING A OIL CHANGE IT STARTED TO STALL OUT VERY HOSTING TO DRIVE AT ANY SPEED. TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON TELLING ME TO SERVICE IT. I PULLED OVER BACK TO PRIORITY FORD DEALERSHIP.THE TECH CAME OUT AND TELLS ME THAT MY FORD FOCUS WAS ON A RECALL FOR MY TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE SERVICE CENTER 3BLOCKS AWAY,WITH THE CAR IN THAT HORRIBLE WAY DRIVING.
OK SO FOR ONE, THE SCREEN (I THINK IT'S CALLED THE CLUSTER) IN BETWEEN MY ODOMETER AND MY SPEEDOMETER HAS OFFICIALLY GONE ALL THE WAY OUT. ONE DAY LAST WEEK IT STARTED TO HAVE LINES GOING THROUGH IT AND THEN ALL OF THE IMAGES WENT AWAY BUT I COULD STILL SEE A BACK LIGHT, IT JUST WASN'T TELLING ME ANY INFORMATION. IT STAYED LIKE THAT FOR TWO OR THREE DAYS AND THEN IT STARTED FLASHING LIKE A STROBE LIGHT. IT DID THAT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN IT WENT ALL THE WAY OUT FOR LIKE A DAY AND THEN IT STARTED FLASHING AGAIN BUT IT'S OUT NOW. WELL NOW THE SCREEN IS CONNECTED TO THE RADIO IS STARTING TO DO THE SAME THING AND I DON'T HAVE TO BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD FOR IT TO DO IT. SOMETIMES WHEN I CRANK MY CAR IT'S ALREADY DOING IT BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING MY CAR IT'LL SWITCH TO WHATEVER IT WANTS TO DO NEXT. I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE, THAT'S JUST THE BEST I KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?? HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? I GET MIGRAINES AND I CAN'T BE DRIVING WITH A STROBE LIGHT HAPPENING LIKE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE, YA KNOW? LIKE, THAT'S A MIGRAINE TRIGGER. THIS ISN'T COOL.. IN THE PICTURE THAT I SUBMITTED IT'S A RADIO SCREEN IN THE FIRST PHASE OF WHAT HAPPENED TO MY OTHER SCREEN ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE DATE SELECTED IS THE DATE IN WHICH OTHER SCREEN STARTED THIS WHOLE PROCESS OF WHATEVER IT DID.
THE STEERING WHEEL GOT STUCK! THANK GOD I WAS LEAVING MY HOME AND NOTICED IT.. AND ALSO I HAD TO GET THE METER FIXED BECAUSE IT WAS GIVING ME THE WRONG GAS MILEAGE

THE CONTACT STATED THE PREVIOUS OWNER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO KENNY ROSS FORD SOUTH LOCATED AT (3200 LIBRARY RD, CASTLE SHANNON, PA 15234) TO BE REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT STATED THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING UPHILL. THE CONTACT STATED PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH AN UNKNOWN WIRING HARNESS FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DRIVER SEAT BELT GETS STUCK ALOT AND IS VERY HARD TO DISCONNECT, THE CAR WON'T GO IN REVERSE AND IT IS PART OF A CLUTCH RECALL FORD WON'T HONOR IT IT'S BEEN REPLACED TWICE ALREADY,
WHEN THE OUT SIDE TEMPERATURE DROPS TO ABOUT 32 DEGREES OR LOWER THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILS. THIS CAN HAPPEN FROM A PARKED SITUATION AS WELL AS WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.. IT WILL LOCK UP. HAS OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS.
SAME ISSUE WITH PREVIOUS DOOR LATCH RECALL, IT IS BROKEN AGAIN AND SINCE IT HAS ALREADY "BEEN REPAIRED" THEY WILL NOT FIX IT AGAIN. DOOR WILL NOT LOCK OR WILL GET STUCK IN A LOCKED POSITION AND WILL NOT CLOSE.
THE CAR SHUTTERS WHEN GOING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT AND WHEN I TAKE OFF THE WHOLE CAR SHUTTERS. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THIS I WAS TOLD IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS CAR MODLE AND TO REPORT IT. THE CAR HAS DONE THIS SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT AND THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WAS NOT A FIX FOR IT.
THE ISSUE HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. THE CAR WAS SHAKING WHEN I WOULD PUSH ON THE GAS. THERE WAS A DELAY WITH EXCELERATION. I WAS DRIVING ON THE CITY STREET AND THE CAR WOULD NOT EXCELERATE THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT CHANGING GEARS. I HAD TO COAST DOWN THE STREET TO MAKE IT TO SOMEWHERE I COULD PULL OVER. ONCE STOPPED THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR AND WOULD NOT DRIVE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND THE CLUTCH THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSIST FEATURE FAILED WHEN I WAS 100 MILES FROM HOME.IT OCCURRED AFTER THE CAR WAS PARKED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS WORKING OK. THIS HAS HAPPENED ONE TIME BEFORE. WHEN IT HAPPENED BEFORE I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND CLEANED THE TERMINAL. I CHARGED THE BATTERY AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY FOR ABOUT A MONTH. TODAY I TOOK THE CAR TO A SERVICE CENTER AND HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED. THE PROBLEM DID NOT GO AWAY THIS TIME. I HAD TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK ON THE FREEWAY WITHOUT POWER STEERING ASSIST.
WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT ON A BUSY STREET MY CAR JERKS AND THEN GETS QUIET, WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGES TO GREEN I HIT ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE, NO MATTER HOW HARD I PRESS, I TURN ON MY EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND AFTER ABOUT 3 MINS THE CAR FINALLY MOVES BUT WHILE DRIVING ONCE AGAIN I HIT ON THE GAS PEDAL TO INCREASE SPEED AND IT DOES NOT WORK, I DECIDE TO TURN AROUND IN A SMALL PARKING LOT AND TAKE IT HOME AND WHILE DOING THAT THE CAR DOESN'T REVERSE, I GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD AND IT JERKS AND JUMPS TO THE POINT WHERE I JUST HAD TO PARK IT AND CALL A RIDE. THE WEEK PRIOR A MECHANIC TOLD ME I JUST NEEDED COOLANT AFTER THE CAR JERKED AND STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE I WAS GOING 70MPH, AND NOW EVERY TIME I BRING THE CAR TO A COMPLETE STOP IT DOESN'T MOVE ONCE IT'S TIME TO ACCELERATE, I'VE HAD IT STALL IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHERE CARS WHERE BUMPER TO BUMPER AND I COULD NOT MOVE. ALL OF THIS AFTER I HAD THE ECU FLASHED TO FIX THE CODES, THE ENTIRE ENGINE AND HEAD GASKETS REPLACED, THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM AND TRANSMISSION FIXED BY FORD. SO I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC TO GET IT DIAGNOSED AND THEY INFORM ME OF MULTIPLE PROBLEMS SUCH AS A NEW THERMOSTAT AND AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT ISSUES BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION AGAIN, UNFORTUNATELY THE CARS VALUE IS NOT WORTH WHAT IT WILL COST TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN.
ELECTRIC STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM WENT OUT. I WAS GETTING READY TO HEAD HOME WHEN THE STEERING WAS LIKE A LEAD BRICK, LUCKILY I WAS STILL IN MY WORK PARKING LOT OF NEWCASTLE HEATED STORAGE 7115 132ND PLACE SE NEWCASTLE WA 98059 WHEN IT WENT BAD. I COULDN'T CONTROL THE STEERING UNLESS I WAS A BODY BUILDER. I PARKED AND CALLED UBER.
I HAVE BEEN CALLING MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP (TAMIAMI FORD IN NAPLES, FLORIDA) TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR RECALL 18S32 FOR MONTHS NOW AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TAKES DOWN MY INFORMATION AND TELLS ME THEY WILL CALL ME BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, AND THEN TO REPEAT ALL MY INFORMATION AGAIN TO A VOICE MESSAGE. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I HAVE CALLED AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER SEVERAL TIMES, ALWAYS GETTING VOICEMAIL SAYING HE IS CURRENTLY ON A CALL WITH A CUSTOMER AND WILL CALL ME BACK URGENTLY. I HAVE LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES ON THE SERVICE MANAGERS VOICEMAIL. THE SERVICE MANAGER HAS NEVER CALLED ME BACK. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE AUGUST 2019 AND I AM RECEIVING LETTERS FROM FORD REMINDING ME I HAVE A RECALL AND TO GET IT FIXED WITH MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, WHILE I LITERALLY CANNOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.
I BOUGHT A 2013 FOCUS ST IN FEBRUARY 2020. IT WAS HAVING STALLING ISSUES REPORTEDLY DUE TO A WIRE HARNESS TSB/RECALL CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO HAVE RECALL REPAIR DONE. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO CORWIN FORD IN NAMPA IDAHO AFTER TWO WEEKS OF THEM HAVING THE CAR THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG AND TOLD ME THE CAR WAS FINE. I TEST DROVE IT AND IT DROVE BETTER THAN BEFORE THEY STATED THEY DID NOTHING SO I LEFT. THE SECOND I TURN OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP IT STALLS SO I TOOK IT BACK AND LET THEM KNOW ITS STILL STALLING A TECH CAME AND LOOKED AND VERIFIED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. I FINALLY RESEARCHED AND CAME ACROSS THAT TSB SO I CALLED AND LEFT A VOICEMAIL ADVISING THEM TO CHECK THE HARNESS. WELL IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE SPLICES NOT BEING DONE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME. I WAS CHARGED AND ACCUSED OF TRYING TO FOOT THE BILL FOR TELLING THEM IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL REMEDY OR RECALL WARRANTY...
THE VEHICLE DISPLAYS "STOP SAFELY NOW" AND ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SHUT OFF IMMEDIATELY. NOT ABLE TO START THE CAR NOR CHARGE THE MAIN HV BATTERY. FORD SERVICE AT CERTIFIED FORD DEALER REPROGRAMMED SOME OF THE MODULES BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
MY FORD FOCUS 2013, HAS BEEN FIXED TWO TIMES AND THE SAME PROBLEM IS REOCCURRING. I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WEREN'T VERY HELPFUL AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO REACH THEM. THE CAR SHUTTERS UPON ACCELERATING. IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS STATED IN THE RECALL. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WARRANTY IS EXPIRED. THIS HAS BEEN A LAWSUIT BEFORE AND I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE WARRANTY THAT I HAD PREVIOUSLY WHEN FIXING THE FORD SHOULD APPLY THIS TIME AS WELL. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY IN A FORD DEALERSHIP WAITING TO GET FIXED, BUT I DO NEED THE CLEAR THAT WARRANTY WILL COVER IT SINCE THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELY ON MY CAR AND NOT BE WORRIED IF IT WILL START.

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED VEHICLE WITH DEFECTIVE POWER STEERING NEEDING AN INTERIOR GEAR REPLACEMENT THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE REPAIRED OUT OF POCKET THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE STEERING ABILITY BECAME VERY HARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD BEEN OCCURRING FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE ILLUMINATED EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOTTENKIRK FORD JASPER (868 GEORGIA 515, JASPER, GA,30143) TWICE, THEY DETERMINED INTERIOR GEAR REPLACEMENT NEEDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FOCUS. CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK HER FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL COASTED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON WHICH FAILED TO RESUME BACK TO NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,297. *DT *DL
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND THE CODE THAT WAS READ IS P1450. THE WHEEL LOCKED ON ME ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I WAS UNABLE TO MAKE A TURN WHILE GOING ACROSS TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MEDIAN AND HAD TO COMPLETELY TURN THE CAR OFF AND START IT AGAIN FOR IT TO UNLOCK.
AT TAKING OFF AT A RED LIGHT MY CAR STUTTERS AND SHAKES AND IT'S WORSE WHEN GOING UPHILL IT FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
MY CAR IS HAVING ISSUES SHIFTING. IT IS AN AUTOMATIC CAR. THERE IS ISSUES ACCELERATING. WHEN STOPPED I HIT THE GAS PEDAL AND ITS FINE UNTIL IT SHIFTS, THEN THE CAR STALLS FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN CATCHES UP. IT DOES THIS EVERY TIME IT GOES TO SHIFT GEARS UNTIL ABOUT 35 MPH. IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION, BUT IT POSSES A HUGE SAFETY RISK.

MY RADIO HAS VERY HIGH STATIC AND I CANNOT USE MY PHONE SYSTEM. MY FUEL GAUGE IS NOT READING PROPERLY. MY CAR JUST SHUTS OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING IT. WHEN I PULL OFF THE ENGINE STALLS. THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN ON GOING EVERY SINCE I OWNED THE CAR. IT IS A COMPLETE LEMON.
FAULTY TRANSMISSION DEFECT RELATING TO THE CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE IN THE DPS6 TRANSMISSION. LOSS OF CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT, LOSS OF POWER AND NO START FROM ENGINE. FORD MOTOR COMPANY FAILED TO DETERMINE MY CAR TO QUALIFY FOR A CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT. FORD MOTOR COMPANY ALSO FAILED TO DETERMINE MY CAR TO QUALIFT FOR A CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT FALLING UNDER THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 14M01 - SUPPLEMENT #7 AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 15B22- SUPPLEMENT #3. I HAVE EMAILED DAVID J. JOHNSON ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 2, ,2020 AND RECEIVED A CALL FROM MR. JOHNSON EXECUTIVE OFFICE ON FEBRUARY 5, 2020 AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVED ANYTHING.
I STARTED THE CAR AND WHILE IT WAS STILL IN PARK, COMPLETELY UNMOVING, AN ALERT CAME UP ON THE SCREEN SAYING 'STEERING FAULT SERVICE NOW' AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS COMPLETELY UNABLE TO MOVE.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH IS IMPAIRED. THE DOOR APPEARS TO BE CLOSED BUT DOES NOT LATCH TO SEAL THE DOOR IN PLACE. THIS WAS RECENTLY NOTICED BY A PROFESSIONAL DETAILING SERVICE IN JANUARY 2020. IT APPEARS THIS IS THE SAME RECALL ISSUE FROM THE 2017 RECALL REGARDING LATCH/LINKAGE ISSUES.
MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AND I HAD TO PAY $6000.00 TO GET IT FIXED! YET AGAIN ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THIS 2013 FORD FOCUS! I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!
MY POWER STEERING SEIZED AND WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY CHILD. WE ARE SO LUCKY THAT WE DID NOT CRASH AND DIE! I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH MY 2013 FORD FOCUS! I JUST WANTED A SAFE CAR FOR MY CHILD AND I. EVEN AFTER I FIX IT AND PAY OVER $2000.00 I WILL NEVER FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR AGAIN! HOW CAN FORD BE OK WITH THIS. THE CAR ITSELF SHOULD BE RECALLED! POWER STEERING, TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT, BRAKE LINES FAILING, RADIO HAS GONE OUT, SYNC NEVER WORKED, DOOR LATCHES FAILED, NOW I AM TOLD MY GAS TANK IS RECALLED! UGGGG!

NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KOONS FALLS CHURCH FORD (1051 E BROAD ST, FALLS CHURCH, VA 22044) AND ALSO TO STAFFORD FORD LINCOLN OF SALISBURY (1902 N SALISBURY BLVD, SALISBURY, MD 21801) AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,000.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT. ALERT FOR POWER STEERING. THE RACK AND PINION HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 61,000 MILES ON IT AT THIS TIME. WAS TOLD BY REPAIR SHOP THAT THIS WAS LOW MILEAGE FOR THIS TYPE OF REPAIR. CAR IS DRIVEN MAINLY ON HIGHWAY. CAR IS WELL MAINTAINED. BOUGHT VEHICLE TWO YEARS AGO. IT WAS A ONE OWNER CAR THAT ONLY HAD 29,000 MILES. I AM 50 YEARS OLD AND A RELIABLE DRIVER. THIS CAR HAS HAD TO HAVE A CLUTCH REPLACED AND STEERING REPLACED IN TWO YEARS. THE CARS STEERING WENT OUT DURING A STOP. WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE NEAREST REPAIR SHOP WITH HARD STEERING.

THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER TO THE SHOULDER, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON BUT FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO REST FOR AN HOUR TURNED THE VEHICLE ON AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATION 82,000.
THE TRANSMISSION STICKS AND VEHICLE IS HARD TO GET UP TO SPEED. TOOK IT TO A CERTIFIED DEALER AND IT'S THE AUTOMATIC CLUTCH AND SAID THEY SEE THE FORDS AND FIESTAS DOING THIS A LOT!
FORD HAS SOLD A CAR TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT IS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD. I'VE HAD NUMEROUS OCCASIONS OF FAILURES WITH THE TRANSMISSION WHERE IT WILL SUDDENLY NOT ACCELERATE, CAUSING UNDUE DANGER MY FAMILY AND MYSELF. THIS CAR SHOULD BE FULLY RECALLED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION IN ITS ENTIRETY. THE FAILURE BY THE NHTSA TO DO SO EVEN YEARS AFTER THE PROBLEM WAS KNOWN WITH THE DPS6 TRANSMISSION IS A ABSURD LACK OF SAFETY OVERSIGHT. MY WIFE AND CHILD WERE ALMOST HIT BY A TRACTOR TRAILER DUE TO THE CAR NOT ACCELERATING PULLING INTO TRAFFIC, THIS IS FAR FROM THE FIRST INSTANCE. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY DIED FROM THIS AND OTHER OCCASIONS. MY FAMILY IS SCARED TO BE IN THIS VEHICLE AFTER NUMEROUS OCCASIONS OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS HAPPENING. EVERY DAY YOU DO NOT DO A FULL RECALL, YOU RISK MORE LIVES BEING IN DANGER.
2013 FOCUS HATCH WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION. BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WITH 69K MILES, CURRENTLY HAS JUST OVER 100K. GREAT VEHICLE, VERY HAPPY WITH IT FOR THE MOST PART. HAVEN'T HAD ANY ISSUES SINCE PURCHASE. FORD RECALL NUMBER 16C13 FOR THE REPROGRAMMING OF THE BODY CONTROL MODULE TO REQUIRE 2 PRESSES OF THE TRUNK RELEASE TO OPEN THE HATCH ON MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLES HAS BEEN REPORTED AS COMPLETED ON MY VEHICLE IN JANUARY OF 2017. HOWEVER MY VEHICLE STILL ONLY REQUIRES ONE PRESS OF THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE HATCH. SOMETHING THAT I HAVE DONE INADVERTENTLY SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN ON THE FOG LAMPS. I CONTACTED THE DEALER THAT REPORTEDLY COMPLETED THE RECALL (SIOUX FALLS FORD LINCOLN, SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA), AND FORD. BOTH OF WHOM TOLD ME THE RECALL HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT WITHOUT BRINGING THE VEHICLE IN AND PAYING FOR A SERVICE. I REPLACED THE BATTERY IN THE VEHICLE SHORTLY AFTER BUYING IT. NOT SURE IF THE BODY CONTROL MODULE LOST THE PROGRAMMING, OR IF THE RECALL WAS NEVER COMPLETED. AT ANY RATE IT DOESN'T AFFECT THE OVERALL PERFORMANCE OF THE VEHICLE, HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANY ISSUES WITH THE HATCH COMING OPEN WHILE DRIVING, ONLY UNLATCHING. I HAVE NOT LOOKED ANY FURTHER INTO THE ISSUE THAN THIS, JUST WANTED TO PUT MY EXPERIENCE OUT THERE.
I HAD MY TRANSMISSION RECALL WORKED ON AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND EVERY TIME AFTER THAT ANYTIME I GET GAS MY CAR STALLS AND HAS ISSUES STARTING. I HAVE TO SIT AND WAIT FOR 20 OR 30 MINS BEFORE MY CAR WILL START. IF I TRY TO DRIVE OFF I HAVE TO PUSH DOWN ON THE ACCELERATOR AND SHIFT INTO DRIVE AND IF I STOP THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,131.

SEVERE SHUDDERING RETURNED AT 98,000 MILES AND WAS NOT SCHEDULED FOR SERVICE UNTIL AFTER 100,000 MILES - FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND DEALER NOW REFUSES TO REPAIR THE DANGEROUS AND FAULTY DPS6 CLUTCH ASSEMBLY ON MY VEHICLE. VEHICLE SHUDDERS WHEN SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND, SOMETIMES VIOLENTLY, OCCASIONALLY LOSING POWER OR ACCELERATING SUDDENLY. HAS ALSO LED TO ENGINE STALL WHILE IN TRAFFIC. FORD REFUSES TO FIX MY CAR.

WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT CAUSES A STUTTERING MOVEMENT FROM A STOP. WHEN PRESSING THE GAS FROM A STOPPED POSITION IT STARTS TO SHAKE UPON ACCELERATION. THE CAR ALMOST FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND MAY CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STOP. I FEEL THAT I AND MY CHILDREN ARE UNSAFE WHEN THIS HAPPENS!!!

MY VEHICLE HAS A FAULTY TRANSMISSION THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED BY NHTSA BUT MY VIN DOES NOT APPEAR ON DATABASE BUT YET I OWN THIS ITEM WITH ALL DEFECTS. THIS IS PROBABLY MY THIRD REQUEST TO APPEAL BUT I NEVER RECEIVE ANY POSITIVE RESPONSES. FOR EXAMPLE MY LAST REPLY WAS NOT AN ANSWER OR SOLUTION BUT INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT A REPLY IF I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. IT WAS GROSSLY OVERLOOKED. I STATED THAT I HAVE EVERY ISSUE IN THE RECALL AND YET NO RESPONSE. I HAVE EVEN TAKEN TO FORD TO HAVE IT SERVICED AND ALL THEY DID WAS RESET A MODULE FOR $110 WHICH WHEN DRIVEN AFTER PICKUP OF SERVICE WAS NO DIFFERENT. I AM AGAIN REQUESTING THAT MY VEHICLE BE CONSIDERED FOR REPAIR.
WHILE STARTING TO ACCELERATE MY CAR LEAPED FORWARD AND I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES TO PREVENT ME FROM REAR ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE. MY CAR THEN STARTLING STUTTERING FROM THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION. THE CAR DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY.
VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. RPM'S ROSE BUT CAR WOULDN'T GO. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS ENTERING AN INTERSECTION WITH CROSS TRAFFIC! THIS COULD GET SOMEONE KILLED. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 78,000 MILES AND HAD BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST ONE OTHER TIME AT AROUND 53,000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS FIXED THEN. HERE WE ARE 25,000 MILES LATER AND IT'S OUT AGAIN!
