TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED OR LATCHED FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 900. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,100. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED 5/6/10 *CN UPDATED 05/10/10
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION S. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE HEADREST WERE IN THEIR PROPER FORWARD POSITION, THEY WOULD PUSH THE PASSENGERS HEADS FORWARD AND CAUSE HIM TO LEAN FORWARD. THE HEAD RESTS WERE TURNED BACKWARDS TO ALLEVIATE THE PRESSURE. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO CORRECT THE DESIGN OF THE HEADREST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE OF BRAND NEW 2010 FORD FUSION OWNER NOTICED A STRANGE "GRINDING" TYPE SOUND UPON ACCELERATING BETWEEN 35 MPH AND 40 MPH WHILE ENGINE RPMS ARE APPROXIMATELY 1500. SOUND ONLY OCCURS WHILE ACCELERATING OR CLIMBING GRADE AT 35-40 MPH. DURING PERIODS WHEN GRINDING SOUND OCCURS, RELEASE OF ACCELERATOR CAUSES NOISE TO STOP. VEHICLE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO DEALER AT LEAST SIX TIMES SINCE PURCHASE. THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO POSITIVELY DIAGNOSE AND DETERMINE REASON OR CAUSE OF NOISE. ATTEMPTED REMEDIES HAVE BEEN 1) REPLACEMENT OF CATALYTIC CONVERTOR AND SUBSEQUENTLY 2) REPLACEMENT OF "FLEX PIPE" BEHIND CAT. CON. NEITHER REMEDY CURED THE NOISE. TO DATE (7/27/2015), NOISE STILL OCCURS AND WAS VERIFIED BY AN EMPLOYEE OF THE ALLIANCE FOR CONSUMER PROTECTION, BEAVER COUNTY, PA.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL INCREASE IN ENGINE RPMS. THE VEHICLE WOULD SPORADICALLY ACCELERATE AT A RAPID PACE. THE FAILURE WOULD PERSIST EVEN AFTER THE CONTACT WOULD REMOVE HER FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE DEALER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED HIM NOT TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT AFTER SIXTY DAYS, THE VEHICLE SHOULD CORRECT ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,200 AND THE CURRENT WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT TRANSMISSION FAILURES. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THERE WERE NO REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 12,000.
MY 2010 FORD FUSION SEL 6CYL. HAS STALLED TWICE ONCE DURING A ROLLING STOP AND THE SECOND TIME FULLY STOPPED. BOTH TIMES THE CAR JUST LOST ALL POWER AND THE ELECTRONICS INSIDE THE CAR QUIT WORKING WHEN RESTARTED. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF A SECOND TIME AND RESTARTING AGAIN THE ELECTRONICS STARTED WORKING AGAIN. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX IT YET AS THE DEALER HAS NOT HEARD OF THE COMPLAINT AND WILL CHARGE ME A SERVICE CALL IF THEY CAN NOT FIND THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THE CAR HAS ONLY 7500 MILES ON IT. *TR
I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW IN 2009. WITH IN A FEW MONTHS I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. PUTTING THE CAR INTO DRIVE IT WOULD SLAM IN THE GEAR, NOT ALL THE TIME BUT MULTIPLE TIMES EACH MONTH. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHILE DRIVING AND WILL NOT SHIFT PROPERLY, AGAIN RANDOMLY. DEALER CAN NEVER DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. 2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID. FLOOR MAT AS INSTALLED AT DEALER JAMMED AGAINST ACCELERATOR. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM BY UNSTACKING DEEP WEATHER FLOOR MATS FROM REGULAR FLOOR MAT. *TR
INCIDENT: 2010 FORD FUSION, 4 CYL, 6 SPD AUTO. VEHICLE EXPERIENCING HARSH SHIFTING AT LOW SPEEDS OR INITIALLY SHIFTING INTO GEAR. VIOLENT SHIFTING WHEN ACCELERATING TO ENTER A HIGHWAY. HIGH RPMS WHEN RESUMING THE 60 MPH SET CRUISE CONTROL SPEED FROM 35 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION CANNOT SEEM TO FINALLY SHIFT INTO 6 SPD. THE VEHICLE COMPUTER HAS BEEN RESET BY FORD SERVICE AND THE PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE. THE CAR IS AGAIN BEING LOOKED AT BY FORD. SERVICE MANAGER COMMENTED THAT THE COMPUTER REMEDY MIGHT NOT WORK IF NOT DONE PRIOR TO 7000 MILES. WHY THEN HAS FORD WAITED TO INFORM OWNERS ABOUT THEIR KNOWN TRANSMISSION PROBLEM? FORD NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND WORK WITH THE TRANSMISSION SUPPLIER TO REMEDY AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS. TRANSMISSION BREAKDOWNS WILL BECOME MOVE PREVALENT AS MORE OF THESE HIGHLY TOUTED VEHICLES ARE SOLD AND DRIVEN IF FORD DOESN'T OWN UP TO THE PROBLEM. PLEASE INTERCEDE ON BEHALF OF CONSUMERS THAT OWN THESE VEHICLES AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK WITH FORD FIXING THE PROBLEMATIC TRANSMISSION. I PRESENTLY HAVE 13000+ MILES ON THE CAR AND PURCHASED IT TO PROVIDE SAFE TRANSPORTATION AND FORD ASSURED ME IT COULD BE RECREATIONAL TOWED WITH NO PROBLEMS AS LONG AS THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS WERE FOLLOWED. I BOUGHT A FORD FUSION 2010, JAN 6, SERVICETRACK LIGHT STAYS ON, DID NOT DRIVE. JAN 8 , SEND TO DEALER, DEALER SAID RCM(MODULE CONTROLS AIRBAG,ETC) IS NOT WORKING,ORDER RCM FROM FORD. THEY REPLACED THE RCM FOR THE NEW CAR, AND I NOTICED THAT "SERVICEADVANSETRAC " PROMPT USER AT THE START,COMES WITH A WARNING SOUND, ANNOY AND FEELS VERY UNSAFE,I DEAL WITH FORD BUT THEY CLAIM IT IS NORMAL!!!!!. I THINK THAT THIS IS STILL PROBLEM FROM RCM AND IT CONTROLS AIR BAG, I AM VERY VERY UPSET ABOUT THE CAR. *TR

I WAS PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT IN THE PARKING LOT OF MY GYM, AND THE CAR WAS CLOSE TO STOPPING, OR STOPPED. THE CAR ACCELERATED, AND I HIT THE BUILDING. WHEN THE CRASH WAS OVER, I LOOKED DOWN AND MY CAR'S GEAR WAS IN PARK. EITHER THE CAR WAS ALREADY IN PARK, AND MY FOOT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE, OR MY FOOT WAS ON THE BREAK, AND AS THE CAR ACCELERATED FORWARD, MY HAND HIT THE GEAR, PUTTING IT IN PARK. THIS MORNING THE GAS PEDAL GOT STUCK ON THE FLOOR AND I COULDN'T STOP THE CAR UNTIL A COUPLE MILES LATER. BRAKES DID NOT STOP THE CAR UNTIL THE GAS PEDAL JUST CAME BACK UP FROM THE FLOOR. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED!! *TR

2010 FORD FUSION -- TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHILE ACCELERATING, SOMETIMES GETTING STUCK IN 3 GEAR OR SO BEFORE JERKILY SHIFTING TO FOURTH.
MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM DEALING WITH ACCELERATION HESITATION. MANY TIMES I REQUIRED ACCELERATION TO TAKE OVER A CAR BY DEPRESSING THE GAS PEDAL, FOLLOWED BY NO POWER RESPONSE IN MIDDLE OF THE OVERTAKING. DURING THESE EPISODES THE ENGINE BEGAN OSCILLATING CRAZILY BETWEEN REV EXCESSIVELY AND THE RPM'S INCREASED RAPIDLY (FROM 7000 TO 10000 RPM) AND DECREASING WITHOUT CONTROL WITHOUT NOT POWER RESPONSE. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION EXHIBITED A DELAY AND A HARD SHIFT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THIS FAILURE PUT ME IN A HIGH RISK DURING THETAKING OVER IN THE HIGHWAY AS POWER DID NOT RESPONSE AND I ALMOST COLLIDED TWICE THE VEHICLE IS IN THE SERVICE SHOP FROM THE DEALER AND HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. FIRST DEALER DIAGNOSTIC MENTIONED THAT IT WAS A MATTER OF REPROGRAMMING THE CAR'S COMPUTER SYSTEMS HOWEVER PROBLEM REMAINED AND THEY RETAINED THE CAR FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION GIVING A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC OF BODY VALVES TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. FORD MENTIONED THAT NEW BODY VALVES WILL BE AVAILABLE BY MARCH THE 31ST, I HAVE NOT DATE FROM FORD AND DEALER WHEN CAR WILL BE TOTALLY REPAIRED AND IF THIS IS THE REAL SOLUTION. *TR

WHILE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND HABITS, WE EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILURE IN OUR 2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID THIS PAST SATURDAY, FEB 20. 2010. DURING THE SAME INCIDENT WE EXPERIENCED A SYMPTOM OF DIMINISHED POWER WHILE ACCELERATING AS WELL AS OVERLY SENSITIVE AND /OR MUSHY BRAKES. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER REPORTED INSTANCES WHERE THE BRAKE SYSTEM HAS GLITCHED AS WELL DURING REGENERATIVE BRAKING CAUSING AN ABRUPT APPLICATION OF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OVER RIDING THE REGENERATIVE SYSTEM, BRAKE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO HAVE ISSUES EVEN AFTER RECALL REPAIR REPROGRAMWAS PERFORMED. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GLITCHES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE SINCE PURCHASE DATE OF OCTOBER 26, 2009. FIRST INCIDENT WAS REPORTED OCTOBER 27, 2009. SEVERAL. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER RESETS WHILE DRIVING SINCE PURCHASE DATE. FIRST INCIDENT REPORTED SAME DATE AS PREVIOUS.. ON FEBRUARY 22, 2010 CAR STALLED FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING 45MPH IN TRAFFIC TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND OTHER ISSUES ADDRESSED. RESTARTED WHEN CAR CAME RO A COMPLETE STOP AND PLACED IN PARK. CAR IS AT DEALER NOW AND NO CODES WERE REPORTED IN SYSTEMS. 2010 FORD FUSION SE, TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS JERKING SLIPPING THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN THE SHOP. FIRST TIME THEY PUT A NEW PART ON WHO KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON NOW. I BOUGHT A NEW CAR NOT A CAR WITH REBUILT ITEMS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNFAIR. FORD DID WELL THIS YEAR OFF THE HARD EARNED MONEY OF AMERICANS AND THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR THE UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOWN RIGHT NASTY WAY THEY HAVE TREATED THIS PROBLEM. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN UPLOAD FOR THE COMPUTER SYSTEM; HOWEVER, THE UPLOAD DID NOT REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME BUT THE VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN WHEN THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING IT HOME. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT REMAINED FOR TWO WEEKS BEFORE IT WAS RETURNED. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF HOW THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD NOT OCCURRED SINCE IT WAS REPAIRED THE THIRD TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 11,300.
MY WIFE CALLED ME AFTER SHE WAS INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT WITH OUR 2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID. I TOLD HER TO CALL OUR INSURANCE COMPANY IN CARTHAGE NEW YORK TO REPORT TO THEM FIRST AS THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE CAR THAT SHE HIT BUT SOME TO OURS. SHE GAVE THE COMPANY THE NAME AND NUMBER OF THE OTHER CAR INVOLVED TO WHICH THEY FOLLOWED UP WITH THAT THEY HAD NO DAMAGE TO THEIR CAR. SHE TOOK OUR CAR TO THE DEALER TO WHO I ASKED IF THEY HAD ANY REPORTS OF BRAKE FAILURE ON THESE CARS. AFTER BEING TOLD OF NO TROUBLE FROM FORD I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE HYBRID BRAKE SYSTEM. I TOOK THE INFO BACK TO THEM AND THEY FOUND THE RECALL ON THESE CARS. MY WIFE HAD NO BRAKES WHEN SHE TRIED TO SLOW AND HIT THE CAR TO COME TO REST. NO AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED AS IT WAS MOVING SLOW BUT AFTER THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE OF $120. TO THE HIGH OF $521. AND BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT NO CLAIM TO OUR INSURANCE COMPANY I NOW AFTER TAKING IN TO HAVE REPAIRED I HAVE A NEW ONE OF $1948. FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY SENT ME FORMS IF I DECIDE TO PURSUE A CLAIM AGAINST THEM. THE ROADS WERE DRY,CLEAR AND SHE HAD NO PERCEIVED BRAKING ON THIS CAR. THE CAR HAS BEEN FIXED BY THE DEALERSHIP ON THE RECALL AND I CERTAINLY WILL FILE MY CLAIM WITH FORD BUT THE HOOPS THAT THEY WANT ME TO JUMP THROUGH APPEAR TO BE UNWARRANTED AS TO THEIR BRAKE PROBLEMS THAT DON'T SEEM TO GET THE ATTENTION THAT TOYOTA IS RECEIVING ON THE SAME BRAKE SYSTEM. MY DEALER AGREES WITH US THAT WE ARE IN NO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR BUT AT THIS TIME I AM STUCK WITH TRYING TO PURSUE LITIGATION AS THE FORM STATES TO RESOLVE WITH FORD. HELP PLEASE IF YOU CAN OR AT LEAST MAKE AWARE THAT YES FORD DOES HAVE THEIR OWN ISSUES. PARKING BRAKE FREEZES IN SNOWY WEATHER WHEN APPLIED MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RELEASE. REPORTED TO DEALER WHILE UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY SAID THEY "FIXED" IT BUT IT STILL FREEZES. ONLY WAY TO FREE IT IS TO DRIVE AND CAUSE HEAT BUILD UP FREE THE BRAKE. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY HAZARD IN SNOWY CONDITIONS BECAUSE ONLY ONE REAR WHEEL IS LOCKED DOWN WHICH WILL CAUSE THE CAR TO SKID SIDEWAYS WHILE TRYING TO GET THE BRAKE RELEASED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND NOW I JUST DON'T USE THE BRAKE WHICH CAUSES ANOTHER SAFETY ISSUE WHEN PARKING ON HILLS.
PURCHASED A NEW 2010 FORD FUSION SE I-4 IN OCTOBER, 2009. I DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS AND NOTICED A WATER-SLOSHING/WATERFALL SOUND (SIMILAR TO A DISHWASHER) COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AREA UPON START-UP AND LOW ACCELERATION IN COLD WEATHER. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME FORD DEALERSHIP IT WAS PURCHASED FROM TO PERFORM SERVICE. AFTER 5 VISITS AND NEARLY 1 YEAR LATER, THE ISSUE IS STILL REMAINING. FORD HAS ISSUED 2 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS ON THE ISSUE, NONE OF WHICH HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. WHEN THE WEATHER GETS BELOW FREEZING THE PARKING BRAKE FREEZES - YOU CAN RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKE WITH THE PARKING BRAKE HANDLE AND THE PARKING BRAKE WARNING LIGHT GOES OFF BUT THE PARKING BRAKE STAYS ENGAGED WITH THE DRIVER UNKNOWING THAT THE PARKING BRAKE DID NOT RELEASE. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE DRIVER IS NOT AWARE OF THE PARKING BRAKE BEING ENGAGED UNTIL THE BRAKES GET SO HOT THAT SMOKE BEGINS TO POUR FROM THE REAR WHEELS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS CAUSING A FIRE FROM ALL THE HEAT. ALSO WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE DOES NOT RELEASE AND YOU APPLY THE BRAKES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE BRAKES DO NOT RESPOND THE SAME AS WHEN THEY ARE APPLIED UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. I PURCHASED A 2010 FORD FUSION WITH 24,000 MILES IN JANUARY 2011. I BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. THE TRANSMISSION WILL FREQUENTLY "SLIP" WHILE TAKING OFF AND SHIFTS VERY HARD AT TIMES. I WILL ALSO "SLIP" WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHER ROAD SPEEDS CAUSING THE RPM'S TO REV BUT THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. RECENTLY, I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH ON A BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR STALLED AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. ONCE I GOT PULLED OVER, THE RPM'S BOUNCED UP AND DOWN RAPIDLY. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP APPROXIMATELY 9 TIMES SO FAR. THEY REPLICATED THE ISSUE ONCE AND TRANSMISSION REPAIRS WERE MADE BUT THE ISSUE CONTINUED. IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT FORD WILL NOT AUTHORIZE ANY ADDITIONAL REPAIRS SINCE THEY HAVEN'T REPLICATED THE ISSUE AGAIN. I EXPERIENCED BRAKING PROBLEMS WITH MY FUSION HYBRID MULTIPLE TIMES NEARLY CRASHING INTO STOPPED CARS. THIS WAS ESPECIALLY BAD IN ROUGH CONDITIONS. THE FORD DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS MY DRIVING HABITS NOT THE VEHICLE. *TW
2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID PURCHASED 08/07/09 IF I AM READING THE PAPERWORK CORRECTLY IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN HERMOSILLO, MEXICO 6/23/09 10/20/09 BRAKES FAILED (PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR & WARNING DASH LIGHTS LIT), SLOWED WITH PARKING BRAKE, BRAKES OKAY AFTER ENGINE TURN OFF AND RESTART. DEALER FOUND NOTHING, NO CODES, NO TSB'S, NO SSM'S 10/28/09 BRAKES FAILED AS ABOVE, SLOWED WITH PARKING BRAKE, BRAKES OKAY AFTER ENGINE TURN OFF AND RESTART. DEALER FOUND NOTHING, NO CODES. 10/30/09 BRAKES FAILED TWICE AS ABOVE, SLOWED WITH PARKING BRAKE, BRAKES OKAY AFTER ENGINE TURN OFF AND RESTART. DEALER CALLED FORD. FORD AUTHORIZED FREE RENTAL CAR AND PROVIDED A TECHNICIAN TO ASSIST DEALER. RESULT: REPLACED BRAKE BOOSTER TRAVEL SENSOR, REPROGRAMMED PCM POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WITH LATER VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE, THERE IS A TECH SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS BUT MY CAR DID NOT SHOW THE CODES THE FIRST 2 TIMES I BROUGHT IT IN. ON THE THIRD TIME THE FACTORY SHOWED THE DEALER HOW TO LOOK FOR CODES IN A DIFFERENT MANNER. 2/4/10 BRAKES ARE CONTINUING TO WORK FINE SINCE THE DEALER FIXED THEM. THIS IS NOT REALLY A COMPLAINT, BUT I SEE OTHERS ON THE INTERNET WHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND THE DEALERS APPEAR TO BE HAVING TROUBLE LIKE MIND DID. *TR
WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED MY VEHICLE I HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE WHEN I WENT TO HIT THE GAS THE CAR STALLED. AT LEAST I THOUGHT. BROUGHT IT TO FORD ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS AN WERE NEVER ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM AS THEY COULD NOT RE-ENACT THE ISSUE. THEN TIME WENT ON IT SEEMED OK. APPROXIMATELY A YEAR AGO I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX 40-50MPH AND WHEN I HIT THE GAS PEDAL IT WOULDN'T DRIVE IT JUST SORT OF PUTTED BUT DIDN'T TURN OFF. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER AND TURN CAR OFF RESTART AND WENT. BROUGHT IT TO MY LOCAL SERVICE STATION WHO SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING AS IT DID NOT HAPPEN WHEN THEY TOOK FOR RIDE. I HAD IT HAPPEN AGAIN THE NEXT DAY ONLY TRAVELING AT APPROX. 25 MPH AND CALLED FORD. BROUGHT IT IN AND AGAIN WAS TOLD THEY FOUND NOTHING AND THAT MAYBE IT WAS A BAD TANK OF GAS. THE BEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE IS THAT IT FEELS ALMOST LIKE THE GAS ISN'T GETTING WHERE IT NEEDS TO GO AND THE CAR WONT GO. THIS PAST THURSDAY ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK AT TRAFFIC HOUR ON A MAJOR 5 LANE HIGHWAY I WAS DOING ABOUT 55MPH AND IT HAPPENED. I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE RIGHT LANE PUT MY FLASHERS ON. I TOOK A BREATH AS I WAS WORRIED I WAS GONNA GET HIT BY THE ON FAST MOVING TRAFFIC. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN, AND FINE. NO ERROR LIGHTS NO NOTHING. I BEGIN TO PROCEED AGAIN PRAYING IT WOULD GET ME HOME. I NOW AM AT APROX. 55 MPH AND IT DOES IT AGAIN. THIS TIME I AM IN THE RIGHT LANE OF THE HIGHWAY WITH AN ONCOMING LANE AND NO WHERE TO GO. PUT MY FLASHERS ON, SCARED OUT OF MY MIND CALL FOR HELP. POLICE COME AND I AM SITTING IN FAST MOVING TRAFFIC PRAYING NOT TO BE HIT.. THE OFFICER ASKS IF I AM OUT OF GAS I SAY NO, I HAVE APPROX. 150 MILES TO EMPTY. HE ASKS ME TO TURN CAR ON AND IT STARTS. HE FOLLOWS ME TO GET ME TO A SAFE PLACE TO WAIT FOR HELP. I WAS TOWED HOME AND THE EARLIEST FORD COULD SEE ME IS THE 3RD. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN & WE ARE NOT SAFE IN THIS CAR. HELP *TR
OUR 2010 FORD FUSION IS STARTING TO SPLIT TO SPLIT AT THE SEAMS LITERALLY. ON THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR ON THE ARMREST WHERE THE WINDOW SWITCH IS, THE PANEL IS STARTING TO SEPARATE & COME APART. THE TOP OF THE PANEL BULGES UPWARDS AS IF SOMETHING IN THE DOOR IS PUSHING IT UP. MY CONCERN IS ESPECIALLY HERE IN NJ WITH THE RECENT SNOW & RAIN, MOISTURE & DUST COULD COME IN THROUGH THE CRACK & EITHER SHORT OUT OR DISABLE THE ELECTRICAL WIRING IN THE DOOR (SPEAKERS, WINDOW, ETC). THE FAILURE STARED AT 2000 MILES & THE SPLIT GETS BIGGER EACH DAY & CURRENT MILEAGE IS 5300 MILES. I'M SORRY BUT I'VE BOUGHT FORD FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS & THIS IS PROBABLY THE WORST QUALITY I'VE SEEN IN FORD CARS. *TR
