TAKAMA RECALL PREVIOUS RECALL FROM 2015, BEFORE I OWNED THE VEHICLE WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A FORD DEALER IN AUGUST 2016, I WAS NOT WARNED OF THIS RECALL AND IT SHOWS AS INCOMPLETE. FOR THE MOST RECENT RECALL, I GOT A NOTICE ON THE MAIL, PROBABLY FROM THE END OF MAY. I GOT IN AUGUST, COMING BACK FROM MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS. I WENT TO TALK TO THE MECHANICS AT THE FORD DEALER. THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT. THE YEAR IS ALMOST GONE. SHOULD I GO TO TALK DIRECTLY WITH THE DEALER THAT SOLD ME THE CAR TO ASK ABOUT THIS OR BOTH RECALLS?
THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR LOCK AND HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR STAYS OUT. IT WILL NOT LOCK OR OPEN FROM THE INSIDE, HAVE TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN IT FROM THE OUTSIDE AND US MY KEY TO LOCK THAT DOOR ONLY. THE REST OF THE DOORS LOCK WITH THE AUTOMATIC KEY LOCK. I WAS IN PARK, WITH THE CAR RUNNING AND TRIED TO OPEN IT AND IT WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. ## VIN PASSED ## FORD FUSION 2010 ##

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE14030 (PE14030). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
1700 REPAIR BILL SITTING AT QUINCY FORD DEALERSHIP UNABLE TO AFFORD TO PAY TO PICK CAR UP AFTER FIX. WENT OUT AFTER A RESET THEN AN AFTERMARKET AND NOW FORD PUT IN ONE. WAS ON HIGHWAY GOING 55
POWER STEERING FAILURE WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY HAD IT RESET, FAILED AGAIN HAD IT REPLACED. $1700 IN REPAIRS NOW SITTING AT FORD IN QUINCY IL AND WE CANNOT AFFORD TO PICK IT UP.
I BOUGHT THE CAR USED THE END OF JULY 2018 FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE. SHE INFORMED ME TODAY THAT FROM TIME TO TIME IT AS IF THE CAR STALLS OUT WHEN DRIVING IT OR WHEN SHE TRIES TO ACCELERATE. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. MY QUESTION IS IF THIS HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION, WHY WOULD YOU NOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHEN IN TRAFFIC CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND COULD LEAD TO CAR ACCIDENTS. I WAS DRIVE THROUGH LINE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND MY BRAKE PEDAL ALL OF THE SUDDEN WHEN ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I TRIED TO 'PUMP IT' AND IT STAYED FLOPPY. I PARKED MY CAR, SET MY E-BRAKE AND TURNED IT OFF. WHEN I RESTARTED IT, IT WORKED AGAIN. ONE WEEK LATER WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH I WENT TO STOP AS I WAS APPROACHING TRAFFIC AND MY BRAKE COMPLETELY FAILED, GOING TO THE FLOOR ONCE AGAIN. I TRIED PUMPING IT AND IT WAS COMPLETE TO RESPONSE LESS. I PULLED MY E-BRAKE AND VEERED INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT NARROWLY AVOIDING AN ACCIDENT. A MESSAGE ACROSS THE DASH READ 'BREAK SYSTEM FAILURE'. WE TOOK IT IN THE NEXT DAY, THE MESSAGE WAS GONE, ALL VISUAL COMPUTER CHECKS WERE FINE. THE MECHANIC KEPT IT SEVERAL DAYS AND PUT OVER 30 MILES ON IT WITHOUT AN ISSUE. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT NOW AS I HAVE READ THAT THERE ARE MANY REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR.

"TAKATA RECALL" STILL WAITING ON A LETTER TO BE FIXED. I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING SINCE MAY 2018.
IT HAS BEEN ALMOST YEAR OF THIS RECALL NOCTICE AND I CAN NOT GET IT DONE FOR I AM STILL ON A "WAITING LIST"

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER (LARRY H. COMING HOME FROM LATE NIGHT MOVIE WITH MY 10 YEAR OLD SON.PULKED UP TO 4 WAY INTERSECTION ACROSS FROM MY DRIVEWAY AT 10AM ANGLE WHEN I GOT MY BREAKS TO STOP AT 4WAY PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR I HAD NO BREAKS.IVE ALREADY REPLACED MULTIPLE CALIPERS BREAK PADS EVERY 2 MONTHS AND ROTORS CAUSE I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT SERIOUS ISSUES WITH THE BREAKING SYTEM.BUT I HAD TO ANGLE MY CAR AT THE WALL IN MY DRIVEWAY AND HIT TO STOP

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND I WENT TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT AND THE BRAKES FAILED. MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEY HAVE REPLACED SEVERAL PARTS BUT THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REGAIN ANY BRAKES. I HAVEN'T HAD MY VEHICLE FOR 3 WEEKS BECAUSE NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL NOTICES THAT THERE IS A RECALL, THE FORD DEALERSHIP KEEPS TELLING ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT.
THROTTLE BODY RECALL I HAVE A 2010 FORD FUSION THAT I JUST PURCHASED LESS THEN A YEAR AGO. ONE DAY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I RETURNED THE CAR THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY. THEY REPLACED IT AND 3 MONTHS LATER IT WENT AGAIN. I LOOKED UP THE RECALLS AND THEY SAID THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS ONE OF THEM. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN FIXED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. NOW MY CAR IS STALLING AND SHUTTING OFF IN TRAFFIC. HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING THIS FIXED OR SOMETHING NEW. I LOOKED UP THE RECALLS AND IT SAIDS IM SUPPOSE TO HAVE A 10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY OR 150,000 MILE WARRANTY. BUT NO ONE IS GIVING ME ANY ANSWERS. I RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT A SETTLEMENT IN THE MAIL THAT MY CAR MAY HAVE DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. I WENT ON THIS SITE AND ENTERED MY VIN AND I INDEED DO HAVE THE DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAGS IN RECALL. WHEN I INFORMED MY LOCAL DEALER ABOUT THIS, THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. WHAT IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT? WHY DID I NOT GET A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL? THIS MAKES ME MAD.
TAKATA INFLATORS : I'VE RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING THAT MY AIR BAG NEED TO BE REPLACED, HOWEVER THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL CALL ME WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS I CALLED FORD AND THEY SAID THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. THREE DAYS AGO I RECEIVED A LETTERS FROM AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT SAYING THAT I SHOULD DO THE RECALL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HOWEVER FORD STILL DOESN'T HAVE THE PARTS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 18 MONTHS .

POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT
I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THE RENTAL TIL THE PART COMES IN, MY DASHBOARD IS CONSTANTLY SAYING CLEAR PASSENGERS AREA FOR AIRBAG, I HAVE CALLED THE FORD COMPANY BUT I AM GETTING A RUN AROUND, I HAVE NO OTHER VEHICLE TO DRIVE SO I STILL DRIVING THIS ONE BUT I AM SCARED, PLEASE EITHER GIVE ME A RENTAL OR FIX IT PLEASE
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER CAR DURING A TURN.
LOST ALL ABILITY TO STEER CAR WHILE DRIVING DUE TO NO POWER STEERING. NOW LEARN THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND RECALLED FOR OTHER YEAR MAKES AND AN INVESTIGATION IS ON GOING FOR THE 2010 ITS STILL AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND REALLY NEEDS RESOLVED.
MY POWER STEERING AND MY BRAKE ASSIST ON MY CAR WENT OUT AS I WAS DRIVING AND LOCKED UP MY STEERING SYSTEM WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT... IT IS SAID THAT IT'S A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BY ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAS THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL.... I DIDNT KNOW WHO TO CONTACT SO I TRIED THIS WAY...
I AM EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF THE ABS CONTROL MODULE, ESSENTIALLY CAUSING A LOSS OF BRAKING CAPABILITY WHEN DRIVING. THIS OCCURS WITHOUT WARNING. BRAKES RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATION AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF, AND RESTARTING. THE ABS 'RESETS' ONLY TO OCCUR AT A LATER DATE AND TIME. THE ABS FAILS WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL OPERATING SPEEDS. BOTH OCCURRENCES THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED TO DATE HAVE OCCURRED IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES TRAVELING AT 25 MILES PER HOUR. THE DEALER HAS DIAGNOSED IT AS AN ABS FAILURE WITH A REPAIR COST OF 1645 DOLLARS. MY VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 45,000 MILES AND HAS NO HISTORY OF ACCIDENTS OR MAJOR REPAIR.
TAKATA RECALL. MY CAR HAS AIRBAG RECALL AND DEALER STILL DOES NOT HAVE PARTS. I AM HAVING TO DRIVE A RENTAL CAR. THE RENTAL CAR SMELLS AND THEY CANNOT EVEN GIVE ME A BETTER RENTAL. THE CAR IS A FOCUS. A SMALLER CARE IS NOT PRACTICAL FOR DRIVING GRANDCHILDREN IN.
THE BRAKES ON THIS CAR GO ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR BEFORE THEY ENGAGE. I HAVE BLED THE BRAKES, REPLACED PADS AND ROTORS AND NONE OF THESE ACTIONS RESULTED IN IMPROVED PERFORMANCE. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS POSTS THAT THE ABS PUMP IS DEFECTIVE. I AM TROUBLED BY THIS AS MY DAUGHTER DRIVES THIS CAR AND I DO NOT FEEL IT IS SAFE. THIS ISSUE OCCURS AT ANY SPEED IN ANY CONDITION I.E. DRY, WET, TURNING OR GOING STRAIGHT. THIS ALSO RESULTS IN LONGER BRAKING DISTANCES AS THE ENGAGEMENT IS NOT NORMAL. I HAVE CALLED FORD AND THEY HAVE TAKEN NO ACTION WHATSOEVER.
THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHEN I HIT MY BRAKES AND THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND I CANNOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. HOWEVER, IF I PUMP MY BRAKES, MY BRAKES USUALLY WORK LIKE NORMAL BUT TYPICALLY I AM HAVING TO SLAM ON THEM WHICH IS DANGEROUS. THIS HAPPENS ANY TIME I WANT TO STOP. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I AM ON THE FREEWAY OR CITY STREET OR EVEN TRYING TO TURN INTO MY DRIVEWAY.
PRIMEWELL VALERA TOURING DEVELOPED CRACKS IN THE SIDEWALL AND LOST AIR AT HIGHWAY SPEED. I FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THESE TIRES. I AM TRYING TO GET THIS RECTIFIED WITH THE TIRE DISTRIBUTOR, BUT AT THIS POINT NO LUCK.
STEERING GEAR WENT OUT (POWER STEERING) HAS GONE GONE OUT TWICE AND CURRENTLY REPLACED TWICE.
A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, MY 2010 FORD FUSION WITH 120,000 MILES.HAD STIFF STEERING WHEN THE CAR STARTED. A FEW DAYS LATER, THERE WAS AGAIN STIFF STEERING. I ALSO HAD A MESSAGE SAYING THAT THERE WAS A FAILURE IN THE ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM. I FOUND THAT IF THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE PROBLEM WOULD CLEAR. THIS HAPPENED AT LEAST SEVEN TIMES SINCE. TODAY, THE PROBLEM WOULD NOT CLEAR AT ALL. AFTER SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, IT LOOKS LIKE THE REPAIR COST IS &1,200 - $1,500 THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM STARTING WITH THE 2011 FUSION MODEL YEAR. IT DID NOT COVER THE 2010 MODEL. HOWEVER, THIS SEEMS TO BE A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO YOUR DATA ON THIS WEBSITE,, THIS APPEARS TO BE THE BE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH ALMOST 1000 COMPLAINTS, MORE THAN ANY OTHER CATEGORY FOR THIS MODEL & YEAR. IT LOOKS LIKE THERE WERE A NUMBER OF THESE COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED TO YOU IN JUST THE PAST FEW DAYS. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO HAVE FORD EXPAND THE RECALL TO COVER THE 2010 FUSION MODEL YEAR.

ON 3 OCCASIONS IN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS WE'VE RECEIVED A POWER STEERING FAULT ALERT COMBINED WITH ACTUAL LACK OF POWER STEERING. IT HAPPENED 2 TIMES UPON STARTING THE CAR BUT BEFORE THE CAR MOVED AND ONCE WHILE BACKING UP THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE. ALL 3 TIMES RESTARTING THE CAR RESOLVED THE ISSUE.
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS 30-40 MPH WHEN THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW, LOW TIRE AND A TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT LITE UP. SHE CAN ME HER FATHER AND TOLD ME THIS. HER RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS LOW. SHE DROVE 2 MILES HOME AND PARKED IT. A FEW HOURS LATER SHE STARTED TO DRIVE OUT OF HER SCHOOL PARKING LOT AND THE POWER STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED AND SHE COULD NOT STEER THE CAR. SHE ALMOST HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. I DROVE TO HER DORM, AIRED UP THE TIRE, REMOVED THE BATTERY FOR A FEW HOURS AND TRIED TO DRIVE IT. STILL NO POWER STEERING AND I REALLY COULD NOT TURN IT SAFELY. MY DAUGHTER COULD NOT EVEN TURN IT AND INCH. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR IN BUT ALL REVIEWS ON THIS SITE AND OTHER STATE IT HAS TO BE RESET BY THE DEALER AND MAY COST UP TO 2000 TO REPAIR. I UNDERSTAND OTHER YEARS OF THIS SAME MAKE AND MODEL WITH THE SAME PARTS HAVE BEEN RECALLED, WHY NOT ALL VEHICLES WITH THESE PARTS. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE POWER ASSIST STEERING FAILED. STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF THIS HAPPENING WITH THE 2010 FORD FUSIONS.
ABS MODULE SEEMS TO CAUSE RANDOM LOSS OF BRAKING -- VEHICLE STARTS BRAKING NORMALLY, THEN SUDDEN LOSS OF HYDRAULIC AND PEDAL GOES ALMOST TO FLOOR BEFORE SOME BRAKING RESUMES. IT'S A RELATIVELY INFREQUENT PROBLEM ( FOUR TIMES IN 6 MONTHS) WITH NO APPARENT TRIGGER, AND HAS HAPPENED WHEN PULLING STRAIGHT INTO A PARKING SPOT, STOPING FOR A STOPLIGHT, AND TURNING OFF OF A FREEWAY ONTO AN OFF-RAMP. WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING OCCURERENCES WERE DRY AND SUNNY TWICE, RAINING ONCE, AND OVERCAST AND ABOUT 50 DEG F ON THE MOST RECENT (OCT. 10, 2018) OCCASION. AN UNRELATED MATTER HAS TO DO WITH THEIR WHEEL LUG NUTS. THEY HAVE A TWO-PART CONSTRIUCTION, AND THE OUTER LAYER SWELLS SO THAT IT CANNOT BE SERVICED USING THE OEM TIRE CHANGING HARDWARE SUPPLIED WITH SPARE TIRE.

2010 FORD FUSION. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. *LD *TR
POWER STEERING HAS FAILED. I NO LONGER HAVE POWER STEERING IN MY 2010 FORD FUSION. BEING MY ONLY VEHICLE, THIS HAS LEFT ME WITH A VERY HARD HARDSHIP. I'VE ONLY GOT TWO PAYMENTS LEFT TILL I CAN SAY I OWN MY CAR, BUT CAN LONGER DRIVE IT. IT'S BEEN SITTING FOR MONTHS. I TURN MY CAR ON TO PULL OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM WENT OUT.
MY 17 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN HIS POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, THAT HE WAS FORTUNATE DID NOT GET HIM INJURED. I THEN RESEARCHED AND REALIZED THIS IS A VERY COMMON, WELL KNOWN PROBLEM FOR THIS VEHICLE. RECALLS STARTED ON THE 2011 FORD FUSION, WHICH HAS THE EXACT SAME POWER STEERING. TO THINK THAT NOT RECALLING THE SAME PROBLEMS IN THE 2010 MODEL PUT MY SON IN DANGER, IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN MY OPINION.
POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. CAR HAS ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING. CAR PULLS TO THE RIGHT. THIS HAPPENED WHILE MAKING A TURN AT ABOUT 10 MPH ON A CITY STREET. LOSS OF POWER STEERING RESULTED IN ME RUNNING OVER CENTER CONCRETE MEDIAN.

WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND WAS VERY SLOW TO STOP. FORD DEALER INFORMED ME IT WAS THE ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL MODULE. IT IS PROCESSED OF BEING REPLACED
TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN RAPIDLY. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL WHERE I WAS GOING AND UNABLE TO ACCELERATE OR DECELERATE. I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. IT IS NOT AN ALL THE TIME PROBLEM, BUT DOES HAPPEN VERY OFTEN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN IT HAPPENS AND THE CAR ACCELERATES BRIEFLY BEFORE INSTANTLY SHUTTING OFF. THE WRENCH SYMBOL ALSO COMES ON BEFORE THIS ALL TAKES PLACE. I COULD BE USING CRUISE CONTROL OR JUST NORMAL DRIVING AND IT HAPPENS IN BOTH SITUATIONS. THE VEHICLE TENDS TO DO IT NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE SUCH AS A HIGH WAY OR ON A REGULAR CITY STREET. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT NUMEROUS (SIX) TIMES TO SEE WHY IT DOES THIS. THE MECHANIC HOOKS IT UP TO THE COMPUTER EVERY TIME AND STATES THERE IS NOTHING WRONG BUT THEN RESETS THE SYMBOL LIGHTS SO THEY GO OUT. THE CAR WILL BE FINE FOR A WEEK OR SO AND THEN DO IT AGAIN! IT IS SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS AND I TRY NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR DUE TO THIS ISSUE. HOW CAN YOU FIX SOMETHING THE MECHANICS STATE IS NOT BROKEN? SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT WITH THE VEHICLE AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED TO SEE WHY IT DOES THIS! IT CAN NOT ONLY BE MY CAR!
