MY AIRBAG HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED BECAUSE FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE PART. MY STEERING WENT OUT WHILE I WAS IN MOTION. NOT A RECALL FOR MY VIN#
I NOTICED TODAY THERE IS A FORD RECALL FOR 2012 THROUGH 2018 FORD FOCUS FOR A FAULTY PART THAT COULD LEAD TO ENGINE STALLS. THE RECALL STATES A MALFUNCTIONING VALVE THAT COULD RESULT IN INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READINGS AND POTENTIALLY ENGINE STALLS OR AN INABILITY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING IN MY 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE I AM DRIVING AND START TO SLOW DOWN AT A STOP SIGN OR TO TURN THE CORNER THE ENGINE STALLS AND JERKS AND THEN IT GOES AWAY UNTIL THE NEXT TIME I SLOW DOWN OR TURN. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE THE SAME SITUATION AS THE CURRENT RECALL FOR THE FORD FOCUS. DRIVER SIDE DOOR CAN'T LOCK.
SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE. POWER STEERING FAILURE PULLING OUT OF DRIVEWAY WITH TWO CHILDREN IN CAR. COULDN'T STEER OUT OF ROAD. TURNED OFF AND BACK ON AND IT STARTED WORKING. LAST FORD I'LL BUY. RECALLED SAME PART ON 11-14 MODELS. GUESS THEY ONLY CARE IF THOSE CUSTOMERS DIE!!! BECAUSE OF THERE UNWILLINGNESS TO REPLACE THERE NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT TO THE NHTSA THEY SHOW THERE CORPORATE CHARACTER.
TAKATA RECALL HAVE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE SEVERAL FORD DEALERS PROVIDE RENTAL CAR UNTIL AIRBAGS ARE AVAILABLE. NONE WILL HELP
TAKATA RECALL - LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS CAN NOT PROVIDE REMEDY IN A TIMELY MANOR.
AFTER REPLACING FRONT AND BACK BRAKES AND MASTER CYLINDER, CONTINUE TO HAVE THE PROBLEM OF "SOFT" BRAKES. I HAVE TO PUSH ALL THE WAY DOWN TO STOP AND DOES NOT STOP ON TIME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CALLED THE FORD STORE SAN LEANDRO DEALER LOCATED AT 1111 MARINA BLVD, SAN LEANDRO, CA 94577, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST HOWEVER, THE CONTACT DECLINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE DEALER (BEECHMONT FORD 600 OHIO PIKE, CINCINNATI, OH 45245 (513)-752-6611) WAS CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
ON SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 06:00 A.M. AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THE POWER STEERING, WITHOUT WARNING, FAILED AND A "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" DISPLAY READ IN ON THE DASHBOARD. THERE WAS NO FAULTY PERFORMANCE OF THE POWER STEERING PRIOR TO THIS AND NO INDICATION IT WAS IN NEED OF REPAIR. THE FAULT OCCURRED SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO HIT ANOTHER CAR AS I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN FROM A SMALL RURAL HIGHWAY ONTO A SIDE STREET IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE THAT TIME. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FROM THE 2010 MODEL FUSION THAT FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS.
THE POWER STEERING SENSOR HAS ALERTED US AND WE HAVE HAD THE WHOLE POWER STEERING RACK REPLACED (2100.00$). A COUPLE DAYS LATER THE ALERT CAME ON AGAIN AND THE SENSOR HAD COME LOOSE AND IT HAD TO BE REINFORCED. NOW, NOT A WEEK LATER THE LIGHT THE ON AGAIN AND WE ARE A WHOLE STATE AWAY AND HOURS FROM HOME. THE RECALL AND PROBLEMS WITH THIS POWER STEERING ON THIS VEHICLE, MODEL, AND YEAR, HAD LEFT US STRANDED AND IN DANGER TOO MANY TIMES! THE WHEEL CANNOT BE TURNED AND THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON ANY TYPE OF STREET, ANY SPEED, OR JUST STARTING UP.
TOOK MY CAR IN FOR THE FUEL TANK RECALL. THE DEALER REPLACED THE PURGE VALVE AND SAID THEY INSPECTED MY TANK, WHICH WAS GOOD. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FILL MY TANK FULL UNTIL 5 WEEKS LATER AND WHEN I DID I WENT STRAIGHT HOME AND SMELLED GAS VERY STRONGLY. MY CAR WAS PARKED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF WHEN I NOTICED A HUGE PUDDLE UNDER IT WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE GAS. IT LEAKED A QUARTER TANK OUT! I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T GET ME IN UNTIL THURSDAY, THIS WAS MONDAY. THE CAR SAT UNTIL THEN. I DROVE IT TO THE DEALER THURSDAY. THEY SUBMITTED PAPER WORK AND PICTURES TO FORD. FRIDAY THEY HEARD BACK FROM FORD STATING THEY NEEDED TO DROP THE TANK TO TAKE BETTER PICTURES. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOT ABLE TO DO THIS UNTIL MONDAY. MONDAY CAME, TUESDAY STILL NO WORD, AND FINALLY ON WEDNESDAY I GET WORD SAYING THAT FORD DENIED THE RECALL AND ARE NOT PAYING FOR IT. THE WHOLE POINT OF THE RECALL WAS THAT THE PURGE VALVE IN THE CANISTER WAS BUILDING UP PRESSURE AND CRACKING TANKS. BUT THEY DENIED IT. I CALLED FORD'S CUSTOMER LINE AND WAS CONNECTED TO A VERY RUDE MAN NAMED RYAN WHO ACTED LIKE I KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT CARS WHEN IN FACT I HAVE WORKED ON (SPECIFICALLY FORD) CARS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. HE REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THE SUPERVISOR WOULD TELL ME THE SAME AS HE DID. I AM VERY UPSET. MY CAR IS NOT FIXED FROM THE RECALL AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY $1000 FOR A NEW TANK THAT CRACKED AT THE SEAL FROM THEIR FAULTY PART.
67 YEAR OLD FEMALE DROVE TO DOCTORS OFFICE, PARKED AND WENT INSIDE. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. WHEN SHE TRIED TO LEAVE THE POWER STEERING NOTIFICATION CAME ON AND SHE COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. SHE NEEDED ASSISTANCE GETTING THE CAR HOME. DEALERSHIP. WAS CONTACTED AND WITHOUT SEEING THE VEHICLE QUOTED A PRICE OF REPAIR TO BE $1800+. THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE THE SAME AS THE ONE FORCING THE RECALL OF THE 2011 MODEL FUSION. IT WAS WRITTEN THAT A RESET CODE IN THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT BOX COULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IF FORD KNOWS THE PROBLEM IS DANGERIOUS A RECALL OF THE 2010 FUSION SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE TWO YEARS AGO. ALSO HAVE A VIN # PROBLEM. I ENTERED THE NUMBER AS WRITTEN ON REGISTRATION AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT VALID. WENT TO CAR FOUND THE EXACT SAME VIN AND AGAIN IT SAID IT WAS NOT VALID. YOU CAN RUN MY LICENSE PLATE AND IT COMES BACK ON THE RIGHT VEHICLE. AGAIN, CAR WAS FINE WHEN PARKED, BUT PROBLEM OCCURRED WHEN STARTED AND ATTEMPTING TO BACK UP. IF IT WENT OUT AT NORMAL SPEED ON THE COUNTY ROAD TO MY HOME SHE COULD WELL HAVE GONE OVER AN EMBANKMENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO MOVE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED REFERENCE NUMBER: CAS-15887066. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
BATTERY DIED DUE TO SITTING FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. EVEN THOUGH CAR WAS STARTED NUMEROUS TIMES DURING THE WEEK. TIRES LOST AIR TWICE DUE TO SITTING AND TOLD NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE.
WHEN I STARTED MY FORD FUSION 2010 IN MY GARAGE A WARNING APPEARED POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. I COULD NOT STEER THE CAR AT ALL. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED SAME MESSAGE AND NOT ABLE TO STEER AT ALL. NEXT START WORKED. DROVE THE CAR ABOUT A MILE. CAR RESTED. RESTARTED THE CAR IN PARKING LOT AND SAME MESSAGE AND NO STEERING. TRIED A COUPLE OF TIMES EVENTUALLY WORKED. I CONSIDER THE CAR COMPLETELY UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE AT THIS POINT IN TIME. I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN I READ ON LINE THAT THE FORD FUSION 2011 HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS REASON AND THE 2010 HAS NOT EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE MORE INCIDENTS REPORTED IN THE 2010.
DOOR HANDLE ESPECIALLY DRIVERS INSIDE LATCH HAS BROKE TWICE LEAVING ME UNABLE TO EXIT THE CAR. ALSO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO LOCK THE CAR. HAPPEN IN 2015 AND NOW 2018.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000. *DT *JS
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON OUR 2010 FORD FUSION. YOU COULD NOT MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. FORTUNATELY, IT HAPPENED WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT MOVING AS IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A CRASH WITH IT SUDDENLY GOING OUT. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. IT WAS A POWER STEERING FAULT FAILURE. THIS WAS A $1800.00 REPAIR AND THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT APPEARS TO AFFECT A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF 2010-2012 FORD FUSION OWNERS. FORD IS COVERING THE REPAIR UNDER A RECALL FOR ALL 2011-2012 FUSION OWNERS BUT NOT 2010 MODELS EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE SAME VEHICLE!
THE VEHICLE WILL, WITHOUT WARNING, LOSE POWER STEERING CAPABILITY AND THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I'M AWARE THE 2011 FUSION HAD THE SAME ISSUE BUT WAS PROVIDED A RECALL, BUT THE 2010 WAS NOT, THIS NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER 2010'S. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 130K MILES ON IT AND THIS SHOULD NOT BE FAILING IN A WAY THAT COULD CAUSE A FATALITY.
ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2018 I DROVE TO A RUTTER'S AND WHEN I STARTED TO DRIVE HOME THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND THEN ON AND A WARNING LIGHT REFERRING TO THE STEERING CAME ON. I CALLED APPLE FORD DEALERSHIP IN YORK, PA AND BROUGHT MY CAR IN THE NEXT MORNING. THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE STEERING RACK HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR COST WAS $2,200, WHICH I ENDED UP PAYING. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE I DISCOVERED THAT THE SAME ISSUE WAS RECALLED ON THE 2011 FUSION BUT NOT THE 2010. ALSO I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THE PART FOR THE TAKATA RECALL. SINCE I NEEDED A RENTAL WHILE MY CAR WAS BEING FIXED THEY PUT ME IN A LONG TERM RENTAL SINCE THE AIRBAG PART HASN'T COME IN YET. I'M HOPING THEY WILL RECALL THE STEERING RACK FOR THE 2010 FUSION AS WELL.
TAKATA RECALL
ABOUT A WEEK AGO, I GOT THE STABILITY SYSTEM CODE A FEW TIMES WHEN I WOULD START THE CAR. I WOULD TURN THE CAR OFF, THEN BACK ON AND IT WOULD RESET AND BE NORMALLY DRIVABLE. AFTER THE SECOND OR THIRD TIME, I NOTICED THAT THERE WASN'T POWER STEERING WHEN I FIRST TURNED ON THE CAR, AND IF I TRIED TO TURN THE WHEELS, THE STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT WOULD COME ON. THEN THE POWER STEERING ASSIST LIGHT STARTED COMING ON FIRST AND IF I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING EXCEPT TURN OFF AND RESTART THE CAR THE CODE WOULD CLEAR AND I COULD DRIVE. YESTERDAY (15 SEP 2018) THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILED AND WON'T COME BACK ON. WE DROVE IT, WITHOUT POWER STEERING, TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT CURRENTLY COVERED BY THE RECALL.
WHILE PARKED AND STARTING MY CAR, A MESSAGE THAT THERE IS A "POWER ASSIST STEERING FAULT" APPEARS. THIS APPEARS ON EVERY START AND DOES NOT GO AWAY. STEERING IS NOW FAR TO STIFF TO DRIVE SAFELY. IT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS MOMENT, BUT RESEARCH INTO THE ISSUE APPEARS WIDESPREAD WITH FORD'S EPAS SYSTEM AND COME WITH PROHIBITIVE REPAIR COSTS VERSUS CARS WITH THE OLDER SYSTEM. THAT FORD ALREADY RECALLED SEVERAL MODEL YEARS PROVES THEY KNOW OF THE ISSUE, BUT HAVE YET TO INCLUDE 2010 MODELS.
ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2018 I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND AN ALARM CAME ON STATING "POWER STEERING ASSIST SENSOR" SOMETHING LIKE THAT APPEARED. MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE WAITED 5 MIN. TURNED IT BACK ON THE ALARM WENT OFF AND I COULD MOVE THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO CHECK FOR RECALL AND NOTHING SHOWED UP. NOW, I AM AFRAID THIS MAY HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE PARKED OR AS I AM DRIVING. THEREFORE, I AM SERIOUSLY THINKING OF BUYING ANOTHER VEHICLE. I AM NOT FINANCIALLY ABLE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS IS VERY UNSETTLING EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE VEHICLE OR AS I AM DRIVING I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT. I DON'T FEEL SAFE.

THE CONTACT ACTIVATED THE HAZARD LIGHTS WHILE DRIVING TO PREVENT A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. ON A STREET ROAD WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. ERROR MESSAGE: STEERING ASSIST DEFAULT CAME ON. NO ACCIDENT BUT THE CAR HAS BEEN SOWN SINCE FRIDAY AS I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE WITH THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED. I WOULD LIKE A RESOLUTION. MAKING PAYMENTS ON THE CAR.

TAKATA RECALL. STATIONARY VEHICLE. POWER STEERING LOCKED. TURNED OFF AND CAME BACK FEW HOURS LATER, TURNED ON AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY. AGAIN IN STATIONARY VEHICLE, STARTED ENGINE AND POWER STEERING LOCKED. TURNED OFF AND CAME BACK FEW HOURS LATER , TURNED ON ENGINES AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY. I DECIDED THAT THIS WAS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND DROVE TO FORD DEALER. MESSAGE ON SCREEN WAS 'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT' BOTH TIMES. THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR $2600 + TO REPLACE LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY WITH NO MENTION OF ANY REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY. AND FORD HAS A RECALL OUT FOR 2011 AND 2012 FUSIONS WITH THE EXACT SAME POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY, HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS.
TAKATA RECALL. I HAD THEM PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE AIR BAG, AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN IT ARRIVES. STILL NO CALL. I MENTIONED THE RENTAL CAR OPTION, AND THEY SHRUGGED IT OFF. ALSO, THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ONLY 2 YEARS AGO, AND THEY ARE ALREADY GOING OUT AGAIN WHICH CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THEY SHOULD NOT BE GOING OUT SO SOON.
I AM TRYING TO FIND WHEN WILL THE PART FOR THE RECALL WILL BE AVAILABLE? WE ARE NOW GOING ON 3 YEARS!!
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING AND ENGINE RACING
TL* THE CONTACT CALLING ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT WHO OWNED A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING AND WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT, ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS COMING CROSS WAY AND STRUCK VEHICLE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL AND THE QUARTER PANEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOY BUT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SEVERE HEAD INJURIES REQUIRING BRAIN SURGERY AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS BUT DEEMED THE VEHICLE DESTROYED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG SHOULD NOT DEPLOY UNLESS IT WAS SUSPECTED A RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000. *LN*JB

I TOOK MY 2010 FORD FUSION TO ONE OF MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS FOR ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY ISSUE. I WAS CHARGED FOR $450 FOR THE MANUFACTURED RECALL/INVESTIGATION, WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE. PLEASE FIND MY BILL ATTACHED IN DOCUMENTATION. THANKS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE STEERING LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD OF HOOPESTON (217-283-7729, LOCATED AT 623 S DIXIE HWY, HOOPESTON, IL 60942) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY AND REPROGRAMMED THE STEERING GEAR CONTROL MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,599. *TT*JB
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE A WEEK AGO FROM A WELL KNOWN DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS TESTED AND HAD NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. IT HAD CLEAN CARFAX AND ONE OWNER. AFTER HAVING THE CAR A FEW DAYS THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STARTED SURGING AND I LOST ACCELERARTION AND ABILITY TO KEEP CAR ON THE ROAD. I BARELY MADE IT HOME AND AM FEARFUL TO DRIVE IT. I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE GAS TANK OR SIMILAR COMPONENT. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS SOLD AS IS SO NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DETECTED AND FIXED. I AM SEEING OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE HAVING SAME ISSUES. FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT. I GET DIALYSIS 3 TIMES WEEKLY AND THOUGHT THIS CAR WOULD BE RELIABLE. NOW I WILL BE PAYING FOR REPAIRS.

TAKATA RECALL: MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER 2010 FORD FUSION WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL SEEMINGLY LOCKED UP. SHE WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND NEARLY WRECKED IN PANIC. LUCKILY IT DID LOOSEN ENOUGH FOR HER TO GET OFF OF THE HIGHWAY. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A TERRIBLE SITUATION.
DRIVERS SIDE FRONT DOOR LATCH FAILED WHEN I TRIED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS ORIGINALLY TOLD "WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT ANYTHING LIKE THAT FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS" UNTIL I CALLED BS AND STATED I HAVE SEEN COUNTLESS REPORTS ONLINE REGARDING THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WAS . . .OH YEAH, I THINK I REMEMBER HEARING ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT GEE NO RECALL FOR IT SO YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO GET IT FIXED. EVEN THOUGH ITS SOMETHING THATS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED IN OTHER VEHICLES. WHY DOES IT SEEM ISSUES WITH FORD FUSION ARE CONTINUOUSLY LOOKED OVER, ISSUES WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AS A SAFETY ISSUE AND RECALLED.

THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INCLUDED THE VEHICLE IN THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY EXTENDED COVERAGE FIELD SERVICE ACTION NUMBER: 13N03. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. PASSENGER BAG FAULT. AND SERVICE ADVANCETRACK. I WENT TO START MY CAR LATER IN THE AFTERNOON AND THE CAR WILL NOT STEER. A WARNING APPEARED THE DAY BEFORE AND I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND IT WAS FINE BUT NOW WON'T DO SO.
MY SON'S POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE HE WAS DRIVING AND WENT OUT COMPLETELY. LUCKILY HE HAD JUST EXITED THE HIGHWAY. SERVICE POWER STEERING COMES UP ON THE SCREEN. IT'S A 2010 FORD FUSION AND I HEARD RECALLS ONLY FOR 2011 AND 2012 FORD FUSIONS BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE BECAUSE IT'S THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH THE 2010 FORD FUSION. MY SON COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT BADLY.

THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD SEVERAL TIMES, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO APPLY FORCE AND PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED. IN ADDITION, THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME EXTREMELY TIGHT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO SERVICED FOR A MANUFACTURER EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN REGARDING THE THROTTLE BODY; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO ACCELERATE WHILE THE OTHER TWO FAILURES PROGRESSED. THE DEALER (WORTHINGTON FORD, 2950 N BELLFLOWER BLVD, LONG BEACH, CA 90815, (562) 420-3333) WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT REMEDY YET FOR THE THREE FAILURES THAT WERE EXPERIENCED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBERS: EA17004 (STEERING) AND PE13003 (ENGINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE IF THEY COULD PROVIDE A PERMANENT REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL FORD RETAILER TOLD ME THEY CANNOT GET THE PARTS TO FIX THIS RECALL, AND DOES NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BE ABLE TO GET THEM.
TAKATA RECALL I CONTINUE TO GET EXCUSES OF WHY THE DEALER DOESN'T HAVE PARTS OR A RENTAL CAR FOR ME. I NEED MY VEHICLE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AS THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I NEED TO HAVE A VEHICLE WITH FULL SEATING!
GOT THE 'POWER STEER SYSTEM FAULT' MESSAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME A COUPLE DAYS AGO, TURNED MY CAR OFF THEN ON AND THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY. STARTED MY CAR YESTERDAY AND THEY MESSAGE RETURNED. TURNED MY CAR OFF THEN ON AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS MY ONLY CAR SO I AM FORCED TO RISK MY WHOLE LIFE TO GET AROUND. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HOLD UP IS ON THIS RECALL. FORD KNOWS THEIR IDS IS FLAWED AND HAVE RECALLED 2011 AND 2012 FUSIONS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY NEED TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE BEFORE I GET RAN OVER OR RUN SOMEONE ELSE OVER. NOT TO MENTION I HAVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. HELP ME LORD. IDK WHAT WILL BREAK FIRST, MY WRISTS OR THE STEERING COLUMN.
AFTER STARTING MY 2010 FORD FUSION THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND WOULD NOT TURN EITHER WAY. A WARNING MESSAGE POPPED UP " POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT." I CALLED A LOCAL FORD DEALER WHO TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO CHECK IT CALL BACK NEXT WEEK. ALSO CHARGE OVER $100 TO CHECK IT. THERE IS A RECALL ON 2011 AND ABOVE FOR THE SAME THING. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND EVERYTHING WAS OK FOR NOW. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO THE PUBLIC. FIX IT FORD.
