13N03 ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY EXTENDED COVERAGE I IMPORT MY VEHICLE TO CANADA ON 23/NOV/2017 FROM USA, AND WHEN I WENT TO INSPECTION FOR IMPORTING PROCESS THEY GIVE ME REPORT THAT I HAVE THE ISSUE OF 13N03, SO PLEASE ADVICE, OTHER WISE I HAVE MY CAR NOT INSURED AND NOT PASSED THE INSPECTION WITH OTHER BIGGER ISSUE 16S26 PLEASE ADVICE WHAT THE ERROR OF THE CAR, FORD CANADA DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWER FOR THERE CUSTOMER, AND DEALERS DON'T HELP US WITH THIS CASE.
TAKATA RECALL I BROUGHT MY FORD FUSION INTO CANADA AND NOW THE INSPECTOR TOLD ME I HAVE THE RECALL16S26 AND I WENT TO DEALER THEY TOLD ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART AND THEY DON'T HAVE ESTIMATE TIME FOR THE PART AND I CALLED FORD CANADA THEY TOLD ME WE DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND YOU CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR OR EVEN INSURE IT! CAN SOME ONE TOLD US WHAT WE CAN DO! ITS BIG DAM COMPANY !ILL NEVER BUY FORD AGAIN AND NEVER RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE, AND THEY DON'T ANSWER CUSTOMER EQUATION THEY JUST SAY WE DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR YOU!!! TAKATA RECALL THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT THE NECESSARY PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THIS CAR!!
DROVE MY CAR TO WORK AND HOME FRIDAY AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. SATURDAY MORNING, I WENT TO START THE CAR AND I COULDN'T MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND I HAD A MESSAGE THAT STATED "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" FORD IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT REFUSED TO PAY TOWARDS THE EXPENSE OF THE CAR, STATED THE PART IS NOT RECALLED SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THEY CHARGED ME $1800 TO FIX THE CAR, AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD FIX ONE OF THE RECALLS BUT NOT THE OTHER DUE TO LACK OF PARTS. FORD IS VERY AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, THEY EVEN HAD A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THE 2010 FORD FUSION POWER STEERING. THIS IS NOT SAFE, MY 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER COULD OF BEEN IN THE CAR WHEN IT WENT OUT. I HOPE THIS IS NOT TAKEN LIGHTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING ABILITY. THE CONTACT CALLED PAYNE WESLACO FORD AT 956-619-6026 AND WAS INFORMED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILED, ONLY MANUAL STEERING AVAILABLE. TWO ERROR MESSAGES DISPLAY ON THE DASH SCREEN: "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC" AND SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW." PROBLEM OCCURRED WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY, FORTUNATELY WHILE NO TURNING WAS NECESSARY. ONLY UPON EXITING DID THE STEERING FAILURE BECOME APPARENT.
POWER STEERING SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING AS I WAS ENTERING AN INTERSECTION AFTER A RED LIGHT HALF A MILE FROM MY HOME. I WAS STARTING TO TURN LEFT WHEN IT WENT OUT, LEAVING ME UNABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO BARELY DODGE ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CONTINUE STRAIGHT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND PULL INTO AN EMPTY LOT. I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THAT THE STEERING GEAR AND DRIVER SIDE AXLE SEAL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 56,000 MILES AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN A COLLISION.
WIFE PARKED VEHICLE EVERYTHING OK, ON EXITING PARKING LOT SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW NOTIFICATION CAME ON UNABLE TO TURN CAR STOPPED CALLED DEALER FOR REPAIR 11/15/2017. HAD TOWED TO STIVERS FORD LINCOLN DEALER IN WEST DES MOINES, IA. UNABLE TO DO REPAIRS TILL AFTER THANKSGIVING 11/27/17. BROUGHT TRAILER TO DEALER AND PICKED UP TRANSPORTED FUSION HOME AND TOOK INTO SHOTTENKIRK FORD DEALER INDIANOLA, IOWA 11/21/17. THEY CHECK CODES, NO RECALL ON 2010 MODEL BUT IS RECALL ON IDENTICAL PROBLEM ON 2011'S, REPLACED DEFECTIVE RACK, FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. FUSION HAD 74,022 MILES, COST ON REPAIR $1883.52
TAKATA RECALL - I WENT TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE "PARTS FOR REPLACEMENT" ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REPAIR OR NOTICE OF PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE DEFECTIVE PSAN INFLATORS ON MY VEHICLE. I HAVE CONTACTED MULTIPLE FORD DEALERSHIPS AND FORD CORPORATE REGARDING THE TAKATA AIRBAGS, BUT I GET NOWHERE WITH EITHER ONE OF THEM REGARDING WHEN A FIX IS AVAILABLE AND WHY PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE. I WOULD LIKE TO FORMALLY SUBMIT A COMPLAINT TO FORD DUE TO THEIR UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE WITH REGARDS TO HOW LONG THE PROCESS IS TAKING. AIRBAG RECALLS SHOULD NOT TAKE MULTIPLE YEARS TO RESOLVE, IT SHOULD BE OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY; AND IT APPEARS THAT FORD DOES NOT THINK THAT IS THE CASE.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM FORD IN ORDER TO REMEDY THE POSSIBLE ISSUE WITH THESE AIRBAGS. I'D LIKE TO HAVE THEM FIXED BEFORE I END UP IN SOME KIND OF ACCIDENT. I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE UNTIL I RECEIVED A POSTCARD IN THE MAIL.
WE HAVE BEEN CALLING THE DEALER SINCE THE RECALL IN JUNE 2016 AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. THEY SAID THEY WILL CALL US WHEN THEY GET IT IN. WE HAVE CALLED MANY TIMES BEGINNING WHEN WE WERE FIRST NOTIFIED AND AS LATE AS 11/13/2017.
I HAVE A 2010 FORD FUSION 111,000 MILES, WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH ON A SIDE ROAD THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE AWAY FROM TRAFFIC. LATER THE ADVANCE TRAC, AND POWER ASSIST LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASH BOARD. CALLED A MECHANIC THAT SAID I WOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR BUT WITHOUT POWER STEERING. AFTER RUNNING MANY TEST. THE STEERING ANGLE SHOWED LEFT EVEN WHEN U WERE TURNING TO THE RIGHT...
VARIABLE VALVE TIMING NEEDS REPLACED VEHICLE SHAKES. SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM WITH A VEHICLE 7 YEARS OLD
TAKATA RECALL NO DEALER NEARBY HAS PARTS FOR RECALL.
SO THERE IS NO REMEDY TO FIX THE AIR BAG. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE START TO GET HURT OR KILLED? THEN YOU WILL FIND A REMEDY!.... JUST REPLACE THE AIRBAG!
BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THREE DAYS AGO IN MY 2010 FUSION AND POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE MESSAGE CAME ACROSS MY DASH. USUALLY TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON REMOVES THE MESSAGE AND RETURNS THE STEERING TO NORMAL. IT DID NOT DO IT THIS TIME. TALKED TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY CAR WAS MADE 4 MONTHS TO EARLY TO HAVE A RECALL ON THE STEERING MALFUNCTION THAT WAS COVERED UNDER THE BIG LAWSUIT THAT WAS JUST SETTLED. TOWED CAR TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND DIAGNOSED IT AS GOING TO NEED WHOLE NEW STEERING RACK ASSEMBLY. THEY SAID COST ROUGHLY ABOUT $1800 TOTAL WITH PARTS AND LABOR FOR A PART THAT IS DEFECTIVE AND IS THE SAME AS THE THE RECALL FOR THE CAR MODEL YEAR LATER. MAKES NO SENSE TO ME WHY THIS ISN'T COVERED IN RECALL ALSO. SEEMS LIKE A COVER UP ON FORDS PART AND NEGLIGENCE AND BAD INVESTIGATION PRACTICES BY NHTSA. I HAVE LEAVE COMING UP IN THE NEXT THREE DAYS WHERE I AM DRIVING OVER 600 MILES WITH MY PREGNANT WIFE AND 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. I AM GLAD THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN WHILE IN MOTION LIKE A LOT OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I'VE BEEN READING. STILL MAKES NO SENSE TO ME WHY THIS ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE RECALL JUST MADE. I REFUSE TO GIVE FORD THAT MONEY FOR A DEFECTIVE PART THAT ISN'T MY FAULT IT WENT OUT BECAUSE SHOTTY MANUFACTURING. NHTSA, COVER ALL CARS AND MODELS THAT HAVE THIS DANGEROUS DEFECTIVE PART AND FORD DO IT FOR FREE!!! CAR NOT FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL. CONTACTED LOCAL FORD DEALER SERVICE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLACE AIRBAG, JUST HOPE I DO NOT GET INTO A ACCIDENT.
TAKATA RECALL--I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED SINCE THE RECALL CAME OUT. THE DEALER CONTINUES TO TELL ME THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? MY FAMILY HAS THREE AFFECTED VEHICLES, TWO FORDS AND A CHEVROLET, AND WE GET THE SAME RESPONSE ON ALL THREE. WE LIVE IN THE ATLANTA AREA, WITH HIGH HUMIDITY. WE HAVE NO MONETARY DAMAGES TO MAKE A CLAIM ON IN THE BANKRUPTCY. NO ONE WANTS TO PURCHASE THESE CARS.
I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY VEHICLE HAS AIRBAGS WHICH NEED REPLACING.MY LOCAL FORD DEALER TOLD ME THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL AND HAVE NO REPLACEMENT FOR MY RECALLED TAKATA AIRBAGS. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBERS ON THE RECALL NOTICE I WAS GIVEN NO INFORMATION AS TO HOW, WHO AND WHEN MY RECALLED AIRBAGS CAN OR WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEWER, GOOD AIRBAGS.
I CALLED THE BOWEN SCARFF FORD DEALER IN MY AREA TO HAVE THE AIRBAG REPLACED TODAY. THE RESPONSE I GOT WAS THAT I HAVE TO HANDLE THE REPLACEMENT THROUGH THIS WEBSITE OR THE NUMBER ON THE POST CARD I RECEIVED. NEXT, I CALLED 888.327.4236 FROM THE POSTCARD AND WAS PLACED ON HOLD FOR 33:47 MINUTES AND WAS DISCONNECTED. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD CALL ME BACK WITH A DEALER'S NUMBER WHO WILL GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE MY AIRBAG REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE POWER STEERING AND TRACTION WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING) APPLIED TO THE 2011 MODELS, BUT NOT HIS VEHICLE YEAR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
TAKATA RECALL DEALERSHIP CANNOT SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BE GETTING ANY.
TAKATA RECALL THERE IS A RECALL NOTICE BUT NO RESOLUTION FOR MY VEHICLE

WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN OUT OF A PARKING LOT AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, A VEHICLE DRIVING 50 MPH IN THE MIDDLE LANE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND THE DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD, BACK, AND NECK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL COLLISION SHOP AND THE BUMPER WAS REPAIRED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE THE COLLISION SHOP, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,476.

IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S DOORS INADVERTENTLY LOCKED. THE CONTACT HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS TO EXIT. ALSO, THE STEERING FAULT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON AND OFF. THE CONTACT CALLED FORD OF MANSFIELD AT (419) 529-1800 (1515 W 4TH ST, MANSFIELD, OH 44906), BUT THE DEALER WAS CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
TAKATA RECALL 16V-384. SO FAR I HAVE CONTACTED MY FORD DEALER OVER 4 TIMES SINCE I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016. IN EACH INSTANCE, THE SERVICE DEPT HAS SAID "TO JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET A LETTER FROM THEM TO COME IN TO GET IT REPAIRED. THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS." I HAVEN'T HAD AN ACCIDENT YET IN THIS VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL AIRBAGS I HAVE TRIED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR TO CONTACT HANSEL FORD SANTA ROSA TO REPLACE AIRBAGS. THE LAST CONTACT WAS TODAY 11/4/2017. I WAS ADVISED THAT FORD HAS NOT PROVIDED REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS TO THEM. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD FOR THE AIRBAG ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL AT NOVEMBER 4, 2017 FORD DEALERSHIP SAID IT IS UNABLE TO GET A TAKATA REPLACEMENT FOR AIRBAGS RECALLED. I ASKED DEALERSHIP, AUTONATION IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FL IF IT WOULD REPLACE RECALLED AIRBAGS AT MY EXPENSE. I OFFERED TO PAY FOR NEW AIRBAGS AND THEIR INSTALLATION. AUTONATION STATED THAT THERE ARE NO AIRBAGS AVAILABLE THAT FIT MY AUTO. CAN I DO ANYTHING TO MAKE THE AUTO SAFE TO USE?
ADVANCETRAC AND POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT ERRORS COME UP IN THE MESSAGE CENTER. ALSO LOST POWER STEERING AND I NOW HAVE TO MANUALLY STEER VEHICLE.THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE STATIONARY POSITION AND CAME ON WHEN I STARTED THE CAR. THE ERROR MESSAGE HAS NOT GONE WITH SHUTTING OFF AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE.

I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF RECALLS REGARDING THE AIRBAGS FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR. I CALLED AGAIN RECENTLY IN NOVEMBER 2017, AND TAKATA HAS NOT SUPPLIED THE AIRBAGS FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE. DO WE REALLY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE IS INJURED?
A ERROR COMES UP ON DASH DISPLAY ' POWER STEERING ASSIST ERROR' THE BELL RINGS AND CAR LOCKS UP. YOU CANNOT STEER THE VEHICLE. I WAS LUCKY I WAS JUST PULLING OUT OF MY STREET AND ONLY GO 10 MPH. IF I WAS ON THE FREEWAY THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS. I LOOKED IT UP AND COME TO FIND OUT IT IS A DESIGN FLAW. 2012 AND 2011 HAVE BEEN RECALLED BUT NOT THE 2010S?? TAKATA RECALL - IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL AFFECTS MY CAR. FORD HAS NOT YET MADE A RECALL AVAILABLE FOR THE 2010 FORD FUSION.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE STEERING LOCK UP AND I HIT A CURB. I WAS LUCKY THAT I WAS NOT IN ANY TRAFFIC. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE ELECTRIC STEERING ON THESE CARS AND NOT SURE WHY FORD WANT FIX THE ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE GET HURT.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A LETTER IN JULY 2016 INFORMING ME OF A RECALL ON MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. THE LETTER MAKERS IT APPEAR AS THOUGH THIS IS A SERIOUS, LIFE-THREATENING ISSUE, BUT I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL FORD DEALERSHIPS OVER THE LAST YEAR AND THEY ALL CLAIM THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS OF TAKATA TO FIX IT. TODAY I RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING ME THAT TAKATA HAS FILED CHAPTER 11 AND THAT I REALLY NEED TO GET IT RESOLVED. I CALLED A DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY ONCE AGAIN CLAIMED NOT TO HAVE THE PARTS. WHAT IS THE POINT OF SENDING ME ALL OF THESE WARNINGS IF I CANT GET IT FIXED? IF THE POINT IS THAT I SHOULDNT BE DRIVING MY CAR UNTIL ITS FIXED THEN THEY SHOULD BE GIVING ME A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL - RECALL 16S26 - THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR COULD RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHERE THE SUPPLEMENTAL FRONTAL AIRBAGS ARE DESIGNED TO DEPLOY. THIS DEFECT REPORT IS IN RESPONSE TO TAKATA DIRS 16E-042, 16E-043, 16E-044. THERE IS STILL NO SOLUTION SINCE 1 JUNE 2016 FOR THE FORD FUSION 2010. HOW LONG SHOULD THIS TAKE AND IS IT SAFE FOR SOMEONE TO SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT?
I HAD A NEW BATTERY PLACED AND THE OIL CHANGED WITH MY LOCAL MECHANIC. I DROVE 3.5 MILES HOME AND, UPON TURNING INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD, A RED "STOP SAFELY NOW" ALERT FLASHED. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC SO I PROCEEDED TO MY HOME. APPROXIMATELY 0.2 MILES LATER THE CAR LOST ACCELERATION, CONTINUING AT 10MPH (EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR) BEFORE LOSING ALL ACCELERATION. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. THE ALARM HAD CLEARED. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND DROVE 300 FEET WHEN THE ALARM RECURRED. I WAS 50 FEET FROM MY DRIVEWAY SO I RESTARTED THE CAR, CLEARED THE ALARM AND WENT 15 FEET BEFORE IT RECURRED, WITH NO ABILITY TO MOVE IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. I RESTARTED THE CAR A THIRD TIME AND THE ALARM HAD CLEARED AGAIN. I WAS PULLING UP MY DRIVEWAY AT A SIGNIFICANT INCLINE WHEN IT RECURRED. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT UP MY DRIVEWAY AND PARK. I CALLED MY MECHANIC AND, AFTER A QUICK ON-LINE SEARCH, HE INFORMED ME THERE WAS FORD TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 12-5-14 ON THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. THIS WAS AN EXTRAORDINARILY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. IN OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES-MY WIFE OR CHILDREN IN THE CAR, DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, DRIVING IN RAPIDLY MOVING TRAFFIC- MY FAMILY'S WELL-BEING WOULD HAVE BEEN PLACED AT GREAT RISK. FORD SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO JEOPARDIZE THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY FOR A PROBLEM THEY ARE CLEARLY AWARE OF AND ARE NOT ADDRESSING, I ASSUME TO MINIMIZE FINANCIAL LOSSES. WHAT IS BEING DONE TO HOLD FORD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ENSURING THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD WHO ARE ALSO PLACED AT RISK BY THIS DESIGN FLAW FORD ACKNOWLEDGES?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE STEERING WHEEL COULD BARELY TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. GREEN FORD IN GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000.
WAITING STILL ON FORD TO REPLACE RECALLED AIR BAG OF PASSENGER'S SIDE - NOT GIVEN ANY SOLUTIONS OR TIME FRAME.
ADD ME TO THE LIST OF HAVING TO REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC STEERING ASSEMBLY. AFTER HAVING THE POWER STEERING LOCK UP HAD THE CAR TOWED TO FORD DEALER. $1,725.00 LATER THEY REPLACED THE UNIT WITH A RE-MANUFACTURED UNIT. RECALL STARED AT 2011. THIS IS A 2010 WITH 65,000 MILES. I FILED A CASE WITH FORD. AFTER 3 MONTHS I FOUND OUT THEY CLOSED THE CASE WITHOUT CONTACTING ME. WILL FOLLOW UP, BUT SEEMS LIKE FORD COULD CARE LESS. BEEN DRIVING FORDS, SINCE 1960.
RECALL ON AIRBAGS AND DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY DO NOT HAVE THE AIRBAGS TO REPLACE THEM.

I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS. 1) TAKATA RECALL, FORD SENT ME THE NOTICE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND FORD RECALL AND FORD MECHANIC SHOP SAID THAT FORD HAD NOT MADE ANY REPLACEABLE AIR BAGS THESE PAST THREE YEARS. I JUST CALLED THIS WEEK. 11/2/17. AGAIN NO AIRBAGS HAD BEEN MADE. THE VEHICLE COULD BE EFFECTED WITH DRIVING OR STATIONERY. 2) DOOR LATCH STOP WORKING AND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE FORD CARS AND MANY RECALLS THAT DATED BACK IN 2015, BUT NOT ON THE FORD FUSION 2010? WHY? MANY OWNERS HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT THE FORD FUSION CARS. SEE:LAST WEEK'S RECALL COVERS 389,585 2012-14 FORD FIESTA AND 2013-14 FORD FUSION AND LINCOLN MKZ CARS. FORD SAYS THE DOOR LATCH IN THESE VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE A BROKEN PAWL SPRING TAB, WHICH TYPICALLY RESULTS IN A CONDITION WHERE THE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. IF A USER LATCHES THE DOOR, THERE IS POTENTIAL THE DOOR MAY UNLATCH WHILE DRIVING. FORD IS AWARE OF TWO ALLEGATIONS OF SORENESS RESULTING FROM AN UNLATCHED DOOR BOUNCING BACK WHEN THE CUSTOMER ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE IT. DEALERS WILL REPLACE ALL FOUR DOOR LATCHES.IN MARCH, FORD RECALLED 213,000 2011-13 EXPLORER SUVS AND POLICE INTERCEPTOR UTILITY VEHICLES IN NORTH AMERICA BECAUSE THE SPRING THAT CONTROLS THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES MAY PREVENT THE DOOR FROM LATCHING COMPLETELY. FORD SAID IT WAS A DIFFERENT ISSUE THAN THE NEW RECALL. IN JANUARY, FORD RECALLED 204,945 2010-13 TAURUS, LINCOLN MKS AND POLICE INTERCEPTOR. NHTSA UPGRADED AN INVESTIGATION INTO HUNDRED OF COMPLAINTS OF DOORS FAILING TO LATCH OR FLYING OPEN INTO NEARLY 486,000 2011-13 FIESTA CARS. NHTSA RECEIVED 207 REPORTS RELATED TO THE PROBLEM, WITH 65 DOORS OPENED INADVERTENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. FUSION 2010 SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SURE! 225 DOLLARS TO REPLACE AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE FORD "DOESN'T JUST SELL THE SPRING YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT."
POWER ASSIST ERROR MESSAGE CAME ON. POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK
WE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD IN JULY OF 2016 STATING THERE WAS A RECALL. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, WE WERE TOLD ON OCTOBER 24 OF 2017, THAT THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. WE NEED TO KNOW HOW WE CAN PROCEED WITH GETTING THIS REPAIR COMPLETED. THIS IS A DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL. I CALLED WOODY ANDERSON FORD AT (256) 539-9441 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REPLACEMENTS FOR THE FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAGS. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN FORD WILL SEND REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. COMPLAINT IS THAT I CANNOT FIND AN ANSWER WHEN THE FIX WILL BE AVAILABLE OR IF IT WILL EVER BE AVAILABLE.
CAR DOESN'T FULLY GO INTO (P)ARK. FIRST TIME I NOTICED ISSUE. MY CAR WOULDN'T CRANK. SO WHEN I FIGURED THAT THE CAR WASN'T FULLY IN (P)ARK. I THOUGHT IT WAS ME MAKING A USER ERROR. BUT IT DID IT AGAIN THE NEXT TIME I DROVE THE CAR. IT REALLY BECAME NOTICEABLE WHEN I CALLED MYSELF PARKING AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING WHILE I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE ONLY OTHER GEAR I'VE NOTICE AFFECTED IS (R)EVERSE. WHEN PUTTING IN REVERSE FROM PARK, IT WORKS FINE BUT THERE ARE TWO CLICKS FROM THE GEAR SHIFTER. 1) BETWEEN (P) AND (R) AND 2) ONCE AT (R). THE ISSUE IS WHEN COMING FROM (D)RIVE TO (R)EVERSE. WHEN I AM SHIFTING FROM (D)RIVE. THE CAR WILL ACT AS IF IT IS IN NEUTRAL WHEN THE SHIFT IS SHOWING IN (R).
I HAVE NOTICED A VIBRATION IN MY CAR AT ABOUT 55-65 MPH, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I FOUND OUT IT IS THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT FOR MY AWD. I AM A MECHANIC AND CALLED FORD FOR THEM TO VERIFY THAT THE FLUID IS NON SERVICABLE AND IS GOOD FOR A LIFE TIME. THIS IS CRAZY BECAUSE A NEW ONE IS $900 OR MORE NOT INCLUDING LABOR, AND BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SERVICABLE EVERY ABOUT 80,000 - 100,000 MILES YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE IT. WHO HAS $2,000 TO SPEND EVERY TIME THIS BREAKS TO FIX IT. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND FORD SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
