AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, THE POWER STEERING WENT COMPLETELY OUT. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT CAME ON AFTER THE INCIDENT. *TR
I WAS TAKING MY WIFE TO WORK, AS WE BEGAN TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER DUE TO SLIPPAGE, HARSHNESS, AND VIOLENT SHIFTING IN THE TRANSMISSION. I WAS AFRAID WE WERE GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT SO I PULLED OVER TO ALLOW TRAFFIC TO PASS BY. SINCE THEN, ITS BEEN AN ONGOING OCCURRENCE WITH THIS ISSUE. WE'VE BEEN TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP A FEW TIMES TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BUT STILL IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION VIA INTERNET I HAVE NOTICED THAT WE AREN'T THE ONLY ONES EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. AS A HUSBAND, FATHER, AND CONSUMER I BELIEVE THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR MULTIPLE FAULTY EQUIPMENT COMPLAINTS, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS OR FATAL ACCIDENTS IF NOT ADDRESS.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 25-30 MPH IN THE BUSY STREETS OF VAN NUYS CALIFORNIA, I HAD MY ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE CAR AS WE WERE GOING TO EAT DINNER. AS I APPROACHED THE PARKING LOT FROM THE STREET, THE "VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL OFF INDICATOR LIGHT" TURNED ON, THEN IMMEDIATELY RIGHT AFTER A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD POPPED UP AND READ "POWER STEERING NEED SERVICE". AS SOON AS I TRIED TO TURN INTO THE PARKING LOT THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT, I HAD TO USE ALL MY STRENGTH TO PULL THE STEERING WHEEL AND AVOID CRASHING INTO THE CARS EXITING THE PARKING LOT (THE CARS WERE WAITING TO MAKE A RIGHT, INTO THE MAIN STREET VAN NUYS BLVD). I CAN USUALLY MUSCLE A CAR WITHOUT POWER STEERING, IF IT WERE A TRADITIONAL OIL PUMP, BUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN. LUCKILY I MADE THE TURN WITHOUT INCIDENT OR INJURIES, BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING FORD HAS TO ADDRESS. THERE ARE MANY SITUATIONS I CAN IMAGINE WHERE THIS POWER STEERING FAILURE MAY LEAD TO PROPERTY LOSS, INJURY OR EVEN DEATH. THE POWER STEERING GAVE NO WARNING, I LOOKED UP HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ONLINE, ONLY TO FIND THAT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM, I ALSO NOTICED THAT ALL THEIR POSTS WERE WITHIN THE LAST MONTH, SO THIS PROBLEM IS NOT UNCOMMON. FORD MUST ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM ASAP IN ORDER TO AVOID INJURY OR DEATH, THEY SHOULD HAVE NOTICED THIS IN THE TESTING PHASE OF FUSION PRODUCTION. THANKFULLY MY FAMILY AND I ARE OK, BUT NOW I HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO WORK AND COME UP WITH $1800+ FOR REPAIRS. *TR
ON 04/13/2015 I EXPERIENCED RAPID DECELERATION WHILE DRIVING HOME FORM WORK ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE PROBLEM LOOKED AT ON 04/15/2015. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 04/16/2015 THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN SO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT ON 04/17/2015. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY ERROR CODES AND FAILED TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME TO DRIVE THE CAR AND HOPE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. SINCE THEN THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED ON THE FOLLOWING DATES: 04/18,4/19,4/21. I ORDERED THE PART MYSELF AND WILL DO THE REPAIRS MYSELF SINCE I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL A COMPLETE FAILURE HAPPENS. THAT WOULD INCREASE THE CHANCES OF CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *TR
CAR WAS DRIVING FINE. WHEN I WAS LEAVING DESTINATION, I WAS BACKING OUT WARNING LIGHT CAME ON EPAS FAILURE LIGHT. POWER STEERING WAS OUT VERY HARD TO STEER. SHUT CAR OFF, RESTARTED CAR, LIGHT WAS STILL ON NO POWER STEERING ALSO ADVANCETRAKC LIGHT CAME ON. COULD HAVE WENT OUT AT ANY GIVEN TIME ALL AT ONCE. VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX. *TR
I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND TRAVELING AT ABOUT 45 MPH WHEN I FELT A REDUCTION IN POWER. THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESPOND TO MOVEMENT OF THE THROTTLE PEDAL. VEHICLE SPEED SLOWLY REDUCED AND WE BRAKED TO A STOP AT A JUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING ROUGH. THE VEHICLE HAD ALMOST ZERO POWER WHEN PULLING AWAY AND I HAD TO PULL OVER TO ALLOW FOLLOWING TRAFFIC TO PASS. SPEED INCREASED SLOWLY OVER 2 MILES OF DRIVING TO 40MPH. LACK OF POWER WAS AGAIN EXPERIENCED AT THE NEXT STOP JUNCTION. WE ARRIVED HOME 1 MILE LATER. IN MY OPINION THE LIMP HOME MODE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WE WERE LUCKY THAT WE WERE ON LOCAL ROADS WITH LITTLE TRAFFIC AROUND. *TR
I WAS DRIVING FOR ABOUT AN HOUR DOWN THE FREEWAY IN CRUISE CONTROL. THE CAR JERKED SLIGHTLY AND WENT LIMP, DECELERATING WHILE MAINTAINING A ROUGH IDLE AROUND 1000 RPM'S. THE GAS PEDAL WAS NON-RESPONSIVE WHILE IDLING AND I WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THERE WAS NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. THE WRENCH LIGHT WAS ON THE DASH. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED TO START IT AGAIN, IT STARTED FINE AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT THE REST OF THE WAY HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN AFRAID TO DRIVE ANYMORE ON THE FREEWAY SINCE OR ANY SERIOUS LENGTH KNOWING THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE FEELING KNOWING I HAVE A FAIRLY NEW CAR THAT I CANNOT TRUST TO DRIVE SAFELY IN. I HAVE READ OTHERS STORIES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND SERIOUSLY HOPE THE VEHICLE'S ISSUES DO NOT CAUSE ME TO BE INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENT ON THE FREEWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH A SERIOUS FLAW AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
FOR MONTHS I HAVE BEEN RESETTING MY CARS "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" BY TURNING MY CAR OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON AND THE POWER STEERING WOULD SUDDENLY WORK AGAIN. LAST NIGHT MY CAR TOOK A COUPLE TURNS ON AND OFF FOR IT TO WORK WHICH IS THE FIRST TIME IT TOOK MORE THAN ONCE TO RESET. TODAY AFTER CHURCH I TURNED MY CAR ON AND OFF 10 TIMES AND IT STILL WOULDN'T RESET SO I WAS FORCED TO DRIVE MY CAR HOME WITH NO POWER STEERING, THINKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT IF A CAR SERVED OR A KID RAN OUT IN FRONT OF ME, I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SWERVE TO AVOID THEM. BESIDES THE FACT THAT I CAN'T DRIVE MY CAR TO GET TO AND FROM WORK THIS WAY, I DON'T HAVE 1500 DOLLARS TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED IN MY 2010 FORD FUSION AS WELL AS THE 2011-2012 YEARS. THIS PROBLEM IS OBVIOUSLY A RESULT OF FAULTY EQUIPMENT USED IN MANUFACTURING AND NOT BECAUSE OF THE DRIVER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST ABILITY WAS LOST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND SERVICE ADVANCETRAC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION FORD MEMPHIS (2515 MT MORIAH RD, MEMPHIS, TN 38115, (901) 209-1259) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK, BUT HE NEVER RECEIVED ONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,022. *TT *TR
I HAD A FLAT TIRE, I DROVE A COUPLE OF BLOCKS ON A RESIDENTIAL ROAD TO GET TO A SAFE AREA TO CHANGE TIRE, TWO SENSORS WENT OFF , LOW TIRE PRESSURE, AND POWER STEERING SENSOR, AT THIS POINT IT BECAME TO STEER VEHICLE, POWER STEERING SENSOR REMAINED ON, EVEN AFTER RESTARTING, AND CHANGING THE FLAT TIRE . I TOOK IT TO PAT MILIKEN FORD DEALER, LOCATED ON TELEGRAPH RD. 4/16/2015 THE MECHANICS THERE RESET THE COMPUTER, TO NO AVAIL, POWER STEERING SENSOR NOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, I WAS CHARGED $1,872.05 FOR THAT REPAIR,I HAVE HAD MANY FLATS IN LIFE BUT NONE THIS EXSPENSIVE. I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING FAILURE RECALL NOTICE: DATE OPENED 10/02/2014 RECALL#15V340000 , DATE CLOSED:09/10/2015, YET I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE, MY VEHICLE IS REGISTERED, NO CHANGE IN ADDRESS. WHEN I HAD REVIEWED RATHER OR NOT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR POWER STEERING ISSUES AT TIME OF MY FLAT TIRE I COULD NOT FIND ANY, BUT FOUND A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. I DID CONTACT THE NEWS , BECAUSE BASED ON THE COMPLAINTS I WAS SEEING, I THOUGHT HOW DANGEROUS, I HAD GOTTEN THIS CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE, AND I WAS IGNORANT TO YOUR EXISTANCE HOW DO I GET FORD TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THIS VERY EXPENSIVE FLAT TIRE. MY VEHICLE IS NOW AT PAT MILIKEN FOR A GAS LEAK! I AM HOPING YOU CAN HELP, I WAS NOT SURE WHERE ELSE TO FILE A COMPLAINT.
I WAS STOPPED AT A 3 WAY STOP. AS THE CAR STARTED MOVING I COULD NOT STEER THE CAR. WHEN I FINALLY STOPPED THE CAR I WAS PARTIALLY IN A SOMEONE'S YARD WITH A CULVERT AND TELEPHONE OR ELECTRIC POLE ONLY 2 OR 3 FEET FROM ME. I THOUGHT THE CAR HAD GONE DEAD. I TRIED TO CRANK THE CAR ONLY TO REALIZE IT WAS STILL RUNNING. I THEN PUT THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND BACKED OUT. THAT WAS WHEN I REALIZED THE STEERING WAS THE PROBLEM. THE ADVANCE TRACK SYSTEM THEN CAME ON. AFTER READING THE MANUAL I WAS HOPING THAT IT WAS DUE TO US HAVING PUT NEW TIRES ON THE WEEK BEFORE. WHEN WE TOOK THE CAR TO OUR MECHANIC HE SAID THAT FORD WOULD NOT SELL THE PART AND WE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALER. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT IS COSTING $1700 TO REPAIR THIS. THERE WAS A NEW MOTOR PUT IN THE VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS 2 1/2 YEARS OLD. IT ALSO WENT OUT WITH NO WARNING WHATSOEVER AND FORD TOLD US THIS WAS THE SECOND CAR THEY HAD THIS HAPPEN TO. *TR
I WAS DRIVING, AND THE CAR CHIMED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THE POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY STOPPED WORKING. THE SERVICE POWER STEERING SYSTEM NOW READING AND ADVANCE TRAC READING STARTED TO SHOW. FORD SAYS IT HAS NOT HAD ANY MAJOR ISSUES AS PER 2 FORD SERVICE DEALERSHIPS. I WENT TO COLLEGE FOR AUTOMOTIVE AND WORKED AS A TECH FOR FORD AND I KNOW POWER STEERING RANDOMLY GOING OUT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. WE WERE FORTUNATE TO NOT HAVE ANY INJURIES, BUT THIS ISSUE ALMOST GOT US INTO A WRECK. I WILL NOT PAY FORD TO FIX A DYSFUNCTIONAL PART THAT THEY INSTALLED. PAYING FORD TO FIX THE PROBLEM IS LIKE PAYING A SERIAL KILLER TO SHARPEN YOUR KNIVES BEFORE HE/SHE DECIDES WHICH KNIFE TO STAB YOU WITH.
I WAS TRAVELING DURING CLEAR CONDITIONS, APPROX. 45 MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY THE POWER STEERING TURNED OFF AND NEARLY CAUSED ME TO CRASHED MY CAR. I HAD RECEIVED A CHECK STEERING AND ADVANCETRAC LIGHT WHEN I FIRST TURNED ON THE CAR, THEN 20-30 MINUTES INTO MY TRIP THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND I NEARLY LOST CONTROL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PIECE OF FAULTY EQUIPMENT THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE OVER 500+ COMPLAINTS TO WARRANT ATTENTION. HOWEVER, HAD I BEEN IN A FATAL CRASH I'M SURE THAT WOULD ATTRACT MORE ATTENTION. *TR
UPON EXITING THE HIGHWAY AND COMING DOWN THE RAMP THE DASH DISPLAYED A MESSAGE TO "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" THEN A MESSAGE TO "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC". THE POWER STEERING WENT COMPLETELY OUT AND I HAD TO USE MUCH FORCE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO SETUP A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. I HAVE THE 6 YEAR, 100,000 MILE WARRANTY, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THAT WARRANTY. WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE THE CAR DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. AFTER FILLING UP THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, A STRONG FUEL ODOR WAS PRESENT IN THE GARAGE. THE CONTACT FOUND A LEAK ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE OWNER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
MY SON WAS DRIVING ME ON THE INTERSTATE AT ABOUT 70 MPH. WITHOUT ANY WARNING, THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I AM GLAD HE WAS DRIVING AS I HAD HEART SURGERY A WHILE BACK AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO DRIVE THIS CAR NOW. THERE IS ALSO NO WAY THAT MY WIFE CAN DRIVE IT. EVERY TIME I GET IN THE CAR, I PRAY THAT I DO NOT PULL SOMETHING IN MY CHEST BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER. I HAVE A $32000 CAR THAT IS A PIECE OF JUNK. I CALLED FORD AND THEY JUST AS WELL TO SAY TOUGH LUCK. THEY HAVE NO PLANS TO FIX IT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE IN PARK, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE "CHECK FUEL VALVE INLET" WAS DISPLAYED ACROSS THE MESSAGE BOARD. THE FAILURE WITH THE STEERING WHEEL RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000. UPDATED 02/10/16*LJ DEALER ADVISED IF NOT FIXED COULD RESULT IN A CRASH. UPDATED 05/22/18*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY FORCE TO THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO TURN THE VEHICLE. THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,682.
UPON ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR ENTERED "LIMP" MODE (WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, BUT I COULD STILL STEER AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL ON) AND THE WRENCH LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASH. I ALREADY HAD THE DEALERSHIP PERFORM THE THROTTLE FIX OF THE 2014 RECALL ON VARIOUS FORD MODELS OF 2009-2012. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH OVER A BUMP, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE JOINT AND STUB ASSEMBLY, THE AXLE BUSHING, AND THE SEAL KIT WERE REPLACED. TWO WEEKS LATER AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY REPLACED THE JOINT AND STUB ASSEMBLY, AXLE BUSHING AND SEAL KIT FOR THE SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,862.
WHEN DRIVING THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM STOPS AND IT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. I CALLED THE DEALER AND IT WILL COST ME ABOUT $2,000 OUT OF POCKET TO REPAIR. ERROR MESSAGE IS, "POWER STEERING FAILURE". *TR
MY FUSION HAS NOW HAD A WHEEL STUD ON THE FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL BREAK OFF. EACH HAS BEEN ROUGHLY EVERY 25,000 MILES. THE FIRST WAS LAYING IN MY DRIVEWAY, THE SECOND WAS MISSING WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE AND THE THIRD BROKE OFF DURING A TIRE ROTATION. IN ADDITION ALL STUDS WERE REPLACED DUE TO A SERVICE BULLETIN EARLY IN THE LIFE OF THE CAR. ALSO LUGNUTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALONG THE WAY BY THE DEALER DUE TO BAD WEAR. AFTER THE SECOND TIME I REACHED OUT TO FORD AND FILED A COMPLAINT BUT THEY SIMPLY FORWARDED IT BACK TO THE DEALER.THE DEALER HAS A RECORD OF ALL OF THE ISSUES AND THE FULL REPLACEMENT BUT HAS STATED SINCE FORD PASSED IT BACK TO THEM THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. I FEEL THIS IS AN UNSAFE SITUATION FOR MY CAR. THEY SHOULD NOT BREAK 3 TIMES WITHIN 75,000 MILES. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AND SERVICE POWER STEERING SOON AND ADVANCE TRAC LIGHTS SUDDENLY CAME ON. WHEN I ARRIVED AT MY DESTINATION, I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AND DASH MESSAGE APPEARED SAYING TO SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. I WENT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND I COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. I THEN HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER. DEALER NOTIFIED ME THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1600. I HAD NO PRIOR ISSUES WITH THE POWER STEERING PRIOR TO THIS SUDDEN, UNEXPLAINED INCIDENT. *TR

AFTER THE THIRD TIME, I CRANKED IT, BUT WHILE STILL IN PARK I REVVED UP THE ENGINE AS HIGH AS I COULD (ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR). AFTER THAT, WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, THERE WAS NO COUGHING, NO SPUTTERING, NO JERKING, ACCELERATOR RESPONDED SMOOTHLY. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME (HALF MILE) AND PARK THE CAR. UPON STAR-UP OF THE VEHICLE ON APRIL 28,2015, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT ERROR APPEARED AGAIN WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT AND BEEPING. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON.
