MY AIRBAG SINE IS ON SINE LIKE ONE YEAR
VERY HARD UPSHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR. HAD VEHICLE AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALER THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT IT IN NOVEMBER 2017 AND HAD SOME INTERNAL TRANSMISSION REPAIRS DONE UNDER ILLINOIS USED VEHICLE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. GOT THE VEHICLE BACK 25 DAYS LATER AND THE HARD SHIFTING DID NOT CHANGE, NOT EVEN A LITTLE. TOOK VEHICLE BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY AND THEY SAID THE HARD SHIFTING IS NOW NORMAL TO THAT VEHICLE. THE SHIFTING HAS GOTTEN SO BAD THE FRONT TIRES CHIRP WHEN GOING INTO GEAR. I NOW HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR ALMOST 3,000 MILES AND THE ADAPTIVE LEARN HAS NOT SOFTENED THE SHIFTING EVEN THOUGH FORD SAYS IT CAN TAKE UP TO 1,000 MILES. MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS TRANSMISSION (6F35) ON THE INTERNET.
I BOUGHT MY CAR AUGUST 6TH,2016 WITH ROUGHLY 40000 MILES FROM AUTO NATION FORD DEALER . NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2017 . I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND MY CAR GAVE ME A MESSAGE THAT MY ENGINE WAS RUNNING HOT AND TO STOP IMMEDIATELY. I DID AND OPENED THE HOOD AND REALIZED THERE WAS A COOLANT LEAK AND IT WAS SMOKING . I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER TO FIX AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE HEATER HOSE AND SAID THEY RAN TEST TO MAKE SURE THEIR WAS NO MORE LEAKS AND EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THEY SAID MY MANUFACTURE NOR EXTENDED WOULD COVER IT. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE PROBLEMS AGAIN UNTIL DECEMBER 29TH 2017 (APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 MONTHS LATER). I WAS RIDING DOWN THE ROAD AGAIN AND MY CAR GAVE ME THE SAME MESSAGE AND I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AGAIN BUT THIS TIME IT WAS ON FIRE. I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO PUT OUT MY CAR. I BARELY HAD TIME TO PULL OVER FROM THE TIME MY CAR ALERTED ME TO WHEN IT CAUGHT FIRE. THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY WHEN I SPOKE TO MY ADJUSTER SHE TOLD ME ABOUT THE RECALL FOR THE ENGINE FIRES DUE TO COOLANT LEAKS ON MY CAR THAT WAS ISSUED IN MAR 2017 . I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OR TOLD AND I WAS EVEN AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PREVIOUS INCIDENT JUST A FEW MONTHS PRIOR. I CHECKED MY COOLANT REGULAR AND ALL MY OTHER FLUIDS. IT NEVER GAVE ME ANY MESSAGES EITHER TIME UNTIL I HAD TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY AND THE 2ND TIME IT WAS ON FIRE ALREADY BEFORE THE CAR EVEN NOTIFIED ME. NOW MY INSURANCE SAYS THEY WON'T HELP ME BECAUSE MY COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE DON'T COVER MECHANICAL AND AFTER THE ADJUSTER WENT AND LOOKED AT MY VEHICLE, SHE CLAIMS THAT IT'S FORDS RESPONSIBILITY DUE TO THE RECALL. I HAVE RENTAL THROUGH FORD BUT NOW THEY SAID THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN INSPECTOR TO LOOK AT MY CAR BEFORE THEY CAN ISSUE ME A RENTAL AND IT COULD BE A WHILE. * (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS
CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ON THE WAY TO WORK ONE MORNING DUE TO OIL LEAK NEAR EXHAUST MANIFOLD. LOOKED TO FIND WHERE OIL LEAK WAS COMING FROM, OIL LEAK IS COMING FROM A CRACK IN THE CYLINDER HEAD RIGHT ABOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.
MY 2013 FORD FUSION TITANIUMTRANSMISSION WENT OUT AT 80K. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT, "UPON TEARDOWN FOUND TRANSMISSION CASE CRACKED AND METAL IN TRANSMISSION." HERE IS THE LETTER DESCRIBING THE SITUATION THAT I SENT TO THE FORD DEALER AFTER MANY CALLS WITH FORD MANUFACTURE: I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR ASSISTANCE IN DEALING WITH MY TRANSMISSION REPAIR, STEERING TEMPORARY LOCKING, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUES WITH MY 2013 FORD FUSION. ON DECEMBER 24, 2017, I STARTED MY CAR AFTER TAKING MY OLDEST SON TO GET HIS HAIRCUT, WHEN MY FORD FUSION STARTED TO JERK, LOSE POWER, AND STEERING LOCKED WHEN WE ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE AWAY FROM THE PARKING LOT. I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED THAT MY CAR, AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE, STARTED TO ACT UP, BUT SOMEWHAT GRATEFUL IT HAPPENED PRIOR TO LEAVING TOWN ON DECEMBER 26TH. MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE DECEMBER 26TH, AND I WAS FINALLY INFORMED OF THE HEFTY COST OF THE REPAIRS THIS WEEK (25 DAYS LATER), FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. AS YOU MAY UNDERSTAND, THIS IS VERY DISCOURAGING BECAUSE I ONLY NEED NINE MORE PAYMENTS TO PAY OFF THE CAR AND DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY GIVES OUT AND THE STEERING TEMPORARILY LOCKS BEFORE PAYING OFF THE CAR. I'M PERPLEXED BY THE DENIAL FROM THE FORD MANUFACTURE COMPANY TO ASSIST IN THIS MATTER SINCE THIS IS A TRANSMISSION PRODUCT ISSUE. PLEASE EXPLAIN, BECAUSE I HAVE SEVERAL CONCERNS: IS THIS THE TYPICAL SHELF LIFE OF A 2013 FORD FUSION TRANSMISSION? IF NOT, THEN IT WOULD APPEAR TO BE A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. IF SO, THEN THE TRANSMISSION AND PRODUCT OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL IS NOT OF GOOD QUALITY. IS THE DAMAGE FROM A CRACKED TRANSMISSION OR THE GEARS ARE DEFAULTING TO 5TH GEAR OR BOTH? WE WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOU LOOKING INTO THIS MATTER AND ASSIST WITH PAYING THE COSTS OF THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. WHAT OTHER SOLUTIONS OR RECOMMENDATIONS DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE?
REVERSING THE CAR OUT OF MY GARAGE I NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THE "STEERING ASSIST FAULT" MESSAGE CAME UP ON THE DASH. CAR IS STILL DRIVEABLE, BUT VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN STEERING WHEEL AT LOW SPEEDS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALER. THEY SAY THEY CARRIED OUT THE RECALL AFFECTING THE STEERING SAFETY BOLTS FROM 2015 (15S14) AND THAT THIS IS A NEW PROBLEM. THEY SAY I NEED A NEW STEERING GEAR/RACK. IT LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. I'M LUCKY I WAS JUST REVERSING OUT OF MY GARAGE AND NOT DRIVING AT SPEED WHEN THE STEERING ASSIST FAILED. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS.
REAR MIDDLE SEAT BELT LOCKS EACH TIME THE UPPER SEAT PORTION IS LOWERED, REGARDLESS OF IT IT IS LATCHED OR NOT. CAR DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ON OR MOVING FOR THIS TO OCCUR. TO REMEDY, THE BOTTOM SEAT HAS TO BE REMOVED, AND SEAT BELT UNBOLTED FROM CAR. I AM CONCERNED THE BELT COULD LOCK AROUND A PERSON IF SEATED THERE. THERE IS NO LEEWAY IN THE BELT TO PULL TO TRY AND RELEASE THE TENSION. HAVE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES, BEGINNING IN DECEMBER 2017.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN, THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CV BOOTS AND AXLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
I LOWERED THE REAR 60% SEAT AND THE SEAT BELT HAS LOCK AND WON'T RELEASE TO BE ABLE TO RAISE SEAT BACK INTO PLACE. THE SEAT BELT IS NOT LATCHED, BUT BELT IS SO TIGHT THAT THE SEAT ONLY RAISES A COUPLE INCHES
THE CAR WON'T START! I WAS TOLD BY FORD TO REPLACE THE KEYFOB BATTERY. SO I DID. I REPLACED THE CAR BATTERY AND THE KEYFOB BATTERY AND THIS CAR WILL NOT START.
IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT 2014-2018 FORD FUSION STEERING WHEEL CAN COME LOOSE AND IN SOME CASES DETACH WHILE DRIVING. I'D LIKE TO REPORT THAT MY 2013 FUSION TITANIUM IS ALSO EXPERIENCING A LOOSE STEERING WHEEL THAT'S PROGRESSIVELY GETTING LOOSER. IT HAS NOT DETACHED DURING DRIVING. I FIRST NOTICED IT ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. I WAS DRIVING WHEN I FIRST NOTICED IT.
TODAY I VISITED MY LOCAL TIRE STORE TO HAVE MY TIRES BALANCED AND ROTATED AND I WAS NOTIFIED BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT MY LUG NUTS ARE SWELLING AND DELAMINATING WHICH COULD RESULT IN ME BEING STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOT BEING ABLE TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS WITH THE PROVIDED WRENCH FOR FLAT TIRES. I'M CONSIDERED ABOUT MY SAFETY WHEN AN EVENT LIKE SUCH MAY OCCUR.
WHEN KEYS ARE LEFT IN CAR IT DRAINS THE BATTERY. CAR WAS PARKED IN GARAGE.12
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, the contact noticed a warning light illuminated on the vehicle stating engine overheating. The contact pulled the vehicle to the side of the road, where the contact noticed black smoke coming from the engine. The contact then drove the vehicle across the road into a mechanic shop where the mechanic who used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the smoke fire from the engine. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer who diagnosed the failure as the engine was damaged and needed to be replaced The dealer replaced the engine, however, the contact was still experiencing issues with the coolant system on the vehicle. Sometime after the contact received a recall notification NHTSA campaign number: 17V209000 (engine and engine cooling) which the recall stated they would place a coolant sensor on the vehicle however the local dealer did not add the sensor on the vehicle they only replaced the coolant control valve. However, after the repair, the vehicle still experienced failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK. I WAS ON HWY 109 GOING 45 MPH. I WAS ABOUT FOUR MILES FROM MY WORK AND SUDDENLY MY POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING THE WHEEL WAS VERY HARD TO MOVE. I COULD BARELY GET IT TO MY JOB. I MADE IT THERE AND TURNED OFF MY CAR. I STARTED IT BACK UP TO SEE IF THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM THE A WARNING LIGHT POPPED UP THAT SAID POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. I STILL HAD NO POWER STEERING. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY CAME AND GOT MY CAR BECAUSE THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE EPS BOLTS. THEY CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THAT WASNT THE PROBLEM THAT I NEEDED MY STEERING RACK REPLACED. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND MY CAR HAD NO SYMPTOMS OF THE STEERING RACK BEING BAD. THE WHEEL DIDNT SHAKE AND IT WASN'T HARD TO STEER OR KEEP MY CAR IN THE LANE . I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT COULD JUST GO OUT WITH OUT WARNING. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND I BELIEVE FORD SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE. WJY ISNT THOS A RECALL. IVE READ MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE SOLUTION IF I WOULD HAVE WRECKED AND BEEN INJURED OR IF MY SPECIAL NEEDA CHILD WAS IN THE CAR AND I WRECKED. SOMETHING NEEDA TO BE DONE
POWER STEERING ASSISTANT LIGHT COMES ON AND POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS RECALLS ON OTHER 2013 FORD FUSIONS FOR STEERING ISSUES BUT NOT ON MINE. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED ME A SERIOUS ACCIDENT HAD I BEEN NOT JUST PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY AND ACTUALLY ON THE FREEWAY

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. THE CONTACT'S BROTHER-IN-LAW DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (DEACON JONES FORD-LINCOLN, 3301 MCLAIN ST, GOLDSBORO, NC 27534) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY, THE FOUR BOLTS AND NUTS FROM THE STEERING, AND THE POWER STEERING BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 866-436-7332 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,223.
WE HAVE BEEN HAVING STEERING PROMBLEMS SINCE OCTOBER OF 2017 HAD THE CAR REPORTED ON OCT 10 TH OF 2017 TO SOUHTERN AUTO WORLD OF MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA THEY ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS PROMBLEM THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS AND THIS PROMBLEM OCCURED AGAIN WE THEN CALLED TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED IT THEN HAD THE SAME PROMBLEM IT WAS NOT STEERABLE IT WAS TOWED AROUND A WK LATER AFTER THE 10TH BACK TO SOUTHERN AUTO WORLD THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR ABOUT A WK THEY WERE HAVING A TIME TRYING TO GET THE PART ORDERED WELL AROUND THE END OF NOVEMBER IT WENT OUT AGAIN WE TOOK THE CAR BACK THE FIRST WEEK OF DEC TODAY IS DEC 24TH CHRISTMAS EVE WE JUST GOT THE CAR BACK ON DEC 23RD THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT EACH TIME WHILE DRIVING ON MAJOR HWYS I WILL BE FILING SUIT ITS VERY DANGEROUS TO TRY TO TURN A CAR WITH BEING ABLE TO STEER TO GET OUT OF HARMS WAY WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND MY SPOUSE AND I I AM NOT FOR RECALLS ON CAR THAT ENDANGER PEOPLE NOW WE ARE OUT OF A VECHICLE FOR THE HOLIDAYS ....
DRIVING AT 45 MPH AND CAR SHUT DOWN DRIVING ON CITY STREET. SAFETY WARNING POPPED UP THAT SAID 'STOP SAFELY NOW'. CAR COASTED TO SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP.
LOSS OF STEERING. STEERING GEAR FAILED AT 51,536 MILES. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE. TURNED THE VEHICLE ON AND THERE WAS A MESSAGE INDICATING A PROBLEM AND THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. COMPLETELY LOSING STEERING WHEEL AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE IS DEEP CAUSE FOR CONCERN FOR A VEHICLE THAT IS 5 YEARS OLD.
I USUALLY DRIVE LOCAL ROADS (MAX SPEED 45). THIS MORNING, WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH ON INTERSTATE 84, I FELT VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE NEW TIRES I HAD PURCHASED 2 WEEKS AGO. WHEN I GOT HOME, I NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WOBBLED ON THE STEERING COLUMN. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND THE TECH TIGHTENED THE BOLT THAT ATTACHED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE COLUMN. $95.39! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME WAS APPROX. 2 YEARS AGO WHEN ONE OF THE SERVICE TECHS TIGHTENED THE SAME BOLT. (MIKE FEDORSIN) HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME THAT TIME AND THERE WAS NO BILL (STILL UNDER BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY).
FAILURE OF STEERING MECHANISM - ELECTRICAL. NOTICE POPPED UP WHILE DRIVING AND WITH NO APPARENT ISSUES. THEN AFTER STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN RT OR LT. DEALER SAYS THIS IS NOT COVERED BY RECALL IN 2015 WHICH ALSO INCLUDES THIS YR MODEL.
THE POWER ASSIST COMPLETELY FAILED ON MY VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING RESULTING IN A TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL CAUSING THE POSSIBILITY OF A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AS I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2011 AND 2012 FORD FUSIONS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD ABOUT THE PROBLEM SENDING THEM A LETTER OF WHAT OCCURRED AND A COPY OF THE INVOICE. MY WIFE AND I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP IN TENNESSEE, RENT A CAR AND STAY IN A HOTEL FOR TWO NIGHTS WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE ENTIRE STEERING ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED COSTING MORE THAT $2,250.00 JUST FOR THE REPAIRS. I EXPLAINED TO FORD AND THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAT I WAS AWARE OF THE 2011 AND 2012 RECALLS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND STATED THAT THIS SAME PROBLEM ON THE 2013 MODELS SHOULD BE COVERED. I HAVE THE INVOICE AND LETTERS THAT I SENT TO FORD AND MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, BALLENTINE FORD IN GREENWOOD, SC. THE CAR WAS REPAIRED IN KNOXVILLE, TN.

THE DEALER (FRED BEANS FORD OF NEWTOWN, 10 N SYCAMORE ST, NEWTOWN, PA 18940, (215) 968-3806) INSTALLED A SENSOR AND REPLACED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR TANK; HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO PROVIDE A PERMANENT SOLUTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE COOLANT WARNING INDICATOR WAS STILL FLASHING. SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE VEHICLE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SHEEHY FORD LINCOLN (901 N3 FREDERICK AVENUE, GAITHERSBURG, MD 20879) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE HOSE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V209000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE DUE TO THE WATER PUMP FAILING. THE CONTACT FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 114,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ENGINE MADE A GRINDING NOISE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND BOTH FRONT AXLE AND BEARINGS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM FOR THE TRANSMISSION HAD EXPIRED AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
FROM THE DAY I FIRST DROVE MY CAR OFF THE LOT IT WAS A 2013 FORD FUSION S IT'S GRAY. I STARTED THE ENGINE AND THEN SAT IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT BEFORE I PUT IT IN DRIVE I HEAR A LOUD THUMPING NOISE GENERATING FROM THE BACK END OF MY CAR. AND IT'S STILL DOING IT 4 MONTHS LATER NON-STOP AND I CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON ALSO THERE IS A RUSTED HOLE IN MY MUFFLER. ALSO OFTEN TIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING WHEN ACCELERATING THE TRANSMISSION HAS A HUGE LAG IN IT AND SOMETIMES IT STICKS WITHOUT SHIFTING TO THE PROPER GEAR TO ACCELERATE, SOMETIMES I HAVE TO ACTUALLY MANUALLY SHIFT THE GEARS. AND IT GETS VERY ROUGH WHEN IT SLIPS AND SLIDES AND MAKES A BIG DROP WHICH ALSO SHAKES THE ENTIRE VEHICLE AND IT ALSO IMPAIRS THE DRIVING PERFORMANCE. AND ANOTHER THING IS THE SEAT BELT, THE REAR MIDDLE SEAT OF MY VEHICLE WHEN INSTALLING A CHILD SAFETY SEAT THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT GOT ALL JAMMED UP AND WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. I HAD TO REPLACE IT WITH AN AFTERMARKET SEAT BELT BECAUSE FORD DIDN'T WANT TO FIX IT FOR FREE AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME UPWARDS OF $400 JUST FOR THE SEAT BELT THAT WASN'T MY FAULT THAT I GOT DAMAGED I JUST INSTALLED THE CHILD SEAT LIKE THE LOCAL POLICE SHOWED ME TO AND THEN ONCE I GOT IT OUT THE SEAT BELT IT'S NOT WORKING. I TURNED MY STEERING WHEEL ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, AND I HEARD A NOISE FROM THE FRONT END. MECHANIC CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISAPPEARS AND NO ERROR CODE IS GIVEN. HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY AND REGULAR CITY STREETS. THE DRIVERS SIDE HOOD LATCH THAT HAS A MICRO SWITCH TO WARN IF THE HOOD IS OPEN TO SAFETY LATCH. MY ISSUE IS THE WARNING WILL NOT SHUT OFF. PROFESSIONALS CHECKED IT AND CANNOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. MY CAR IS 4 YEARS OLD WITH 35,200 MILES ON IT. MY CENTER CONSOLE SCREEN STOPPED WORKING. TRANSMISSION HAS HAD PROBLEMS SINCE 16,000 MILES WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR. HAD IT IN MANY TIMES FOR ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY AT HIGH WAY SPEEDS. WOULD SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER TO PASSING LANE AND SPEED UP AND IT WOULD JERK. PARK TO DRIVE AND PARK TO REVERSE WOULD ALSO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES. 3 DEALERS LATER THEY FINALLY FOUND SOLENOIDS AND ANOTHER PART WAS BAD (ABOUT 90,000 MILES) FOR SOMEONE TO FINALLY FIND THE PROBLEM. HAD IT BACK IN 3 MONTHS LATER TO HAVE THE SAME PARTS REPLACED AGAIN AS THEY WENT OUT. JUST TOOK IT IN NOV. 2017 A YEAR LATER AND AM BEING TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IS BETTER OFF BEING REPLACED. I COMPLAINED EVERY 5,000 MILES AT OIL CHANGES TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE PROBLEM THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT UNDER WARRANTY. I'M NOW STUCK WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR DUE TO $3,000 ESTIMATE FOR WHAT IS WRONG THAT THEY KNOW OF BEFORE OPENING THE TRANSMISSION UP WHICH COULD RESULT IN MORE $$ OR PAY $5,000 FOR A REMANUFACTURED ONE.

MY 74YR OLD MOM HIT A 1 FOOT TALL CONCRETE BARRIER (PICTURE ATTACHED) AT A COUNTY RURAL RECYCLING CENTER RESULTING IN ALL 4 AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. BARRIER ISN'T PAINTED, NO FENCE, NO RAILING OR POLE TO MARK IT. MINOR DAMAGE (PHOTO ATTACHED) TO THE AUTO, BOSCH RECORDER SHOWS <15 MPH (FILE TOO LARGE TO ATTACH). CAR IS IN A STORAGE UNIT IN IOWA FOR EVIDENCE. MOM'S PROGNOSIS WAS SUBDURAL HEMATOMA, ENCEPHALOPATHY AND UNCAL HERNIATION RESULTING IN HER DEATH (SEE ATTACHED). MEDICAL EXAMINER DETERMINED CAUSE OF DEATH WAS THE CAR ACCIDENT. IN ADDITION TO THE ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAGS, MY STEP-DAD (84 YEARS OLD) WAS IN THE PASSENGER SIDE AND ALSO WAS HIT BY AIRBAGS. WHILE THE AIRBAGS SAVED HIM, HE WAS QUITE BRUISED/INJURED. EMERGENCY RESPONSE WAS NOT REQUESTED. WE (MY FAMILY) BELIEVE THAT CONSIDERING THE AGE OF OUR PARENTS AND THE FACT MY MOM WAS HIT IN THE SIDE OF THE FACE - MORE CAUTION (STATE LAW REQUIRING MEDICAL ATTENTION) SHOULD BE EXERTED BY ALL POLICE OFFICERS IN THIS SITUATION (POLICE REPORT ATTACHED). JUST HAD THE WATER PUMP REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE FOR THE 3RD OR 4TH TIME NOW. VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN LOOSING COOLANT SINCE I BOUGHT IT. COST - $326.04 REPAIRS COMPLETED AT WRAY FORD, 2851 BENTON ROAD, BOSSIER CITY, LA 318-686-7300, INVOICE NUMBER FOCS245906 ON 21 DEC 2016 SECOND ITEM: PROBLEM WITH START/STOP BUTTON. THE WRENCH ON THE DASH WOULD LIGHT UP. ONLY THING I COULD FIND OUT WAS LOOK IN THE MANUAL, WHICH SHOWED AND TOLD ME NOTHING. CAR WOULD JUST ARBITRARILY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING !!! I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY, FORD CASE NUMBER CAS13448074 BUT NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM FORD. I FOLLOWED UP WITH THE DEALERSHIP WEEKLY ON STATUS OF PART. IT FINALLY CAME IN AROUND DECEMBER 14TH AND I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT REPLACED ON DECEMBER 18TH. COST - $361.66 I WANT AN INVESTIGATION AS TO WHETHER THESE ARE RECURRING ISSUES AND A RECALL SHOULD BE MADE FOR THESE ISSUES. THE SECOND ONE IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE.

IN ADDITION, THE DEALER MADE NO MENTION OF THE MANUFACTURER SERVICE CAMPAIGN (15R01) FOR THE EPS MOTOR BOLTS - REGIONAL AND (14N02) FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR PCM RE-PROGRAMMING. WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF THE DEALER'S REPAIR, THE CONTACT TURNED ON THE HEAT AND NOTICED A STRONG ODOR COMING FROM THE VENTS. THE VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING UNDER THE HOOD AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHO WAS TO INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR INTO MY DRIVEWAY, GOING STRAIGHT, AND THE SERVICE POWER STEERING INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I BACKED OUT MY DRIVEWAY TO TEST IT, AND IT HAD COMPLETELY LOST ALL POWER STEERING. THERE WERE NO OTHER ISSUES OR WARNINGS LEADING UP TO THE TOTAL AND COMPLETE FAILURE. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP, WHO INDICATED THE ENTIRE GEAR BOX WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED FOR A COST OF 1800.00. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT PART OF RECALL, AND MY CHECKS ON NHTSA BY VIN CONFIRMED.
"FORD DOOR LATCH RECALL" - HAVING ISSUES WITH DOOR LATCHES FOR MY FORD FUSION HYBRID THAT WERE REPLACED DURING A RECALL (BY ANOTHER DEALER). ISSUES HAVE STARTED SINCE THE RECALL, WITH EXCESSIVE VIBRATION OF THE DOORS, DOOR AJAR INDICATOR COMING ON DURING MOTION AND LATEST REAR PASSENGER DOOR NOT CLOSING , WHICH HAVE BEEN BROUGHT UP WITH MY CURRENT DEALER I HAVE BEEN WORKING (WITH FORD THRU) MY CURRENT DEALER FOR A NUMBER OF MONTHS AND FINALLY HAD THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH CHANGED A COUPLE OF MONTHS BACK BECAUSE OF EXCESSIVE DOOR VIBRATION AND DOOR AJAR INDICATOR COMING ON COUPLE OF WEEKS BACK THE RIGHT REAR DOOR FLEW OPEN DURING A TURN, BUT I IGNORED IT THINKING THE DOOR WAS NOT SHUT PROPERLY, STOPPED THE CAR SAFELY AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD THE DOOR CLOSED. LAST WEEKEND REAR RIGHT PASSENGER DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE AND HAS REMAINED "UN-CLOSABLE" SINCE, I HAD TO TIE DOOR IN WITH SEATBELTS AND LIMP THE CAR BACK HOME. WENT TO THE DEALER TODAY AND WAS TOLD BY THEM THAT DOOR LATCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THE COST OF PARTS AND LABOR WILL NOT BE COVERED AS THE RECALL WAS PAST WARRANTY (1 YEAR). CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND WAS TOLD THE SAME. I NOW HAVE CONCERNS OF THE SIMILAR ISSUES OCCURRING ON THE OTHER DOORS AND THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE AS A WHOLE.
