I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A ROAD TRIP AND WAS ABOUT 300 MILES FROM HOME WHEN MY "SERVICE POWER STEERING" NOW MESSAGE CAME ON MY SCREEN AND LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AFTER THAT MY STEERING WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AT A GAS STATION AND TURNED MY CAR OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN BUT THE STEERING WAS STILL OUT. *TR

TWENTY MINUTES LATER, A POPPING SOUND EMITTED FROM INSIDE THE STEERING WHEEL AND SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF INDEPENDENTLY AND THE CONTACT HASTILY EXITED THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND THE FIREFIGHTERS HAD TO RIP APART THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD IN ORDER TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE SOURCE OF THE FIRE. A POLICE AND FIRE REPORT WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE INCIDENT. ONE OF FORD'S ADVERTISED SAFETY SYSTEM IS THE CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (CTA) AND BACKUP SENSORS THAT ALERT THE DRIVER TO SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE VEHICLE OR APPROACHING THE VEHICLE FROM THE SIDES. WE NOTICED THAT WE COULD NOT HEAR THE SAFETY ALERT FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. I DECIDED TO MEASURE THE LOUDNESS OF THE ALERTS TO SEE HOW THE THEY COMPARED TO NORMAL LEVELS. ALL MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN AT THE DRIVER'S SEAT USING DBA SINCE THIS WEIGHTS THE SOUND TO MATCH THE CONTOUR OF THE HUMAN EAR. THE FORWARD SENSORS MEASURE AT 55 DBA WHICH IS AT THE MID-POINT OF NORMAL COMMUNICATION (50-60 DBA) AND IS QUITE NOTICEABLE UNDER ALL CONDITIONS. THE REAR SAFETY ALERT MEASURES AT 40 DBA WHICH IS A LITTLE BIT ABOVE A SOFT WHISPER. NORMAL COMMUNICATION IS BETWEEN 10 AND 100 TIMES LOUDER. WHEN YOU GET IN YOUR HOT CAR IN A PARKING LOT THE A/C IS ON HIGH IT MEASURES 70 DBA. THIS IS WHEN YOU NEED THE SAFETY SYSTEM TO WORK WHEN BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT. PROBLEM IS THE NOISE FROM THE A/C IS 1,000 TIMES LOUDER THAN THE SAFETY ALERT RENDERING IT INAUDIBLE UNLESS YOU TURN YOUR HEAD AND LEAN INTO THE BACK SEAT AREA, THEN A FAINT SAFETY ALERT CAN BE HEARD. I COMPLAINED TO FORD AND THIS WAS ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER CAS-4970853. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY CAR BECAUSE A FRIEND OF MINE HAS A FUSION ENERGI SAME YEAR AND HIS IS A LITTLE LOUDER ABOUT 46 DBA. THE DEALERSHIP COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AND FORD SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO FIX IT. I ASKED FOR THE SPECIFICATION ON THE SOUND LEVEL SO I COULD VERIFY MY CAR WAS WITHIN SPEC. I WAS TOLD THEY DO NOT HAVE A SPEC, WHICH MEANS AS LONG AS IT MAKES A SOUND IT'S GOOD. IF THIS IS TRUE IT'S AN UNFORGIVABLE LAPSE IN QUALITY. I WAS TOLD ALL THE HYBRIDS ARE MUCH LOWER LEVEL THAN THE NON-HYBRIDS WHICH MAKES THIS A FLEET-WIDE SAFETY ISSUE. WORKAROUND: TURN YOUR RADIO UP AND IT WILL MUTE WHEN A SAFETY ALERT OCCURS
THERE IS A SHARP EDGE ON THE SEAT RAILS. I CUT MY FINGER DEEPLY RETRIEVING A NAPKIN THAT FELL BETWEEN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND CENTER CONSOLE. *TR
I RECEIVED A LETTER IN NOVEMBER 2014 STATING THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY 2013 FORD FUSION. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 14S21 / NHTSA RECALL 14V-597. IT STATES THAT ON MY VEHICLE, THE RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE MAY DEVELOP A SHORT CIRCUIT OVER TIME. IF THIS OCCURS, THE AIRBAG WARNING INDICATOR LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE DEPLOYABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS (FOR EXAMPLE: AIRBAGS AN SIDE AIRBAG CURTAINS) MAY NOT FUNCTION AS INTENDED IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY. A SHORT CIRCUIT MAY ALSO AFFECT THE FUNCTION OF OTHER SYSTEMS THAT USE DATA FROM THE RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE, INCLUDING STABILITY CONTROL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET MY VEHICLE REPAIRED IN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP STILL SAYS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY PARTS UNTIL AROUND NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER WHICH WOULD THEN BE A FULL YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL NOTICE. HIT DEER GOING 45 MILES AN HOUR WHEN HE RAN OUT IN FRONT OF ME. VEHICLE CHECK WAS DEPLOYED. SAID AIRBAG ACTIVATED. NEITHER THE AIRBAG WENT OFF NOR DID THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINT TIGHTENED. OBTAINED 7000.00 IN FRONT END DAMAGE INCLUDING RADIATOR, HOOD FENDERS AND PUSHED IN DRIVER DOOR. POLICE OFFICER CHECKED THE AIRBAG FOR ME AND STATED THAT I NEEDED TO LET THEM KNOW IT SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND DID NOT. HAD VEHICLE TOWED AND CALLED PECK FORD. AFTER 3 WEEKS IN THE AUTO REPAIR STATED THEY RAN A CHECK AND IT SEEMED THE AIRBAG WAS FINE. THEY HAD TO DO A REALIGNMENT AND THE RADIATOR HOSE AND BOLTS SNAPPED OFF PLUS THE BODY WORK. FORD STATED IT WAS IN A RECALL BUT THAT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR A YEAR. I TOLD THEM I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE ACCIDENT AND THE FAILURE OF THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY NOR THE RESTRAINTS. PECK FORD ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS NOT MUCH THEY COULD DO UNLESS THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYED ON WHEN CAR WAS OPERATING. PREVIOUSLY, IN SUMMER OF 2014, I WROTE THE WARRANTY CENTER BECAUSE MY HEADLINER HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO WRINKLING AND FALLING IN FRONT. THEY REPLACED THE HEADLINER BUT IT STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN SO I WROTE THEM IN SUMMER OF 2014. THEY STATED THE ONLY RECALL THEY HAD WAS FOR THE AIRBAG AND THAT I SHOULD STOP DRIVING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY AND CALL FORD. I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND STATED THEN THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAD TO BE ON. FAST FORWARD TWO MONTHS LATER AND I HIT A DEER, NO AIRBAG DEPLOYED, THE RESTRAINTS DID NOT WORK. FEARFUL WHEN DRIVING THE CAR NOW AND NO HELP AVAILABLE. DRIVER SEAT NOW SAGS TO ONE SIDE
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT WITH MY 2013 FORD FUSION. THERE WAS A WITNESS AT THE SCENE SAYING THAT THERE WERE SPARKS SHOOTING FROM MY CAR BEFORE THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED. HE SAYS IT LOOKED LIKE A TIRE CAME OFF MY CAR TAKING A RIGHT CURVE ON A MAIN ROAD IN THE CITY THE CAR DID NOT TURN I JUST WENT STRAIGHT ACROSS 2 LANES OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC.ON THO THE SIDEWALK AND INTO A TREE. I COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR TO THE CAR TO GET OUT 2 GUYS CAME OVER AND NOTICED THE CAR WAS ON FIRE AND PULLED THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPEN. THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OF MY 2013 FORD FUSION WILL NOT CLOSE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THE DIAGNOSIS WAS FAILURE OF THE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY. THE PART IS ON BACKORDER AND I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE PART WILL BE SHIPPED. WHILE AT THE DEALER, THERE WAS ANOTHER 2013 FORD FUSION WITH THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE SAME DOOR AS MINE. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS AND THERE IS NO WAY A DOOR LATCH SHOULD FAIL THIS EARLY. THE TOTAL COST FOR THE REPAIR WILL BE $431. *TR
WHILE DRIVING WITH CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE VEHICLE THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BECAME UNSECURED. THE DOOR LATCH FAILED AND WOULD NOT RE-SECURE. THIS WAS THE SECOND INCIDENT ON THE SAME CAR IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. THE FIRST TIME THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT SECURE. THAT FIRST TIME FORD REPAIRED THE DOOR. WHILE PICKING THE VEHICLE UP AFTER THE REPAIR ANOTHER FORD FUSION OWNER WAS DROPPING OFF HIS VEHICLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE SAME DEALERSHIP HAD ANOTHER FUSION IN A COUPLE DAYS EARLIER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. MY FAMILY WAS IN THE CAR WHEN THE DOOR FAILED. *TR
WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES PER HOUR WHEN DEER HIT CAR IN FRONT . THE IMPACT TOOK OUT FRONT BUMPER BUMPER GUARD HOOD LEFT FENDER AND LEFT DOOR. THE RADIATOR BOLTS CRACKED AND DROPPED THE RADIATOR. I WAS THROWN FORWARD BUT NEITHER SEAT BELT TIGHTENED OR AIR BAG WENT OFF. THE SYSTEM RADIO WENT INTO SYSTEM CHECK AND CONTINUALLY CHECKED , STATING AIRBAG DEPLOYED BUT IT DID NOT DEPLOY. ONE SIDE OF THE SEAT ON DRIVERS SIDE WILL NOT RISE WHEN TRYING TO BRING SEAT UP AND SO SEAT SAGS TO LEFT OFFICER THAT I CALLED TO THE SCENE STATED THAT IT LOOKED LIKE THE AIRBAG STARTED TO DEPLOY BUT WHEN I GOT THE CAR FIXED THEY SAID THEY FOUND THE AIRBAG STILL IN TACK. BOTH PARTIES POLICE AND MECHANIC STATED THAT THEY WERE SURPRISED AIRBAG DID NOT GO OFF. I CALLED FORD ABOUT THE RECALL AND THEY SAID CANNOT REPAIR UNLESS AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON . I WROTE SAFETY FOR FORD AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING. I CALLED DEALER BACK AND THEY STATED THAT I CANNOT BRING IN TILL LETTER ARRIVES BECAUSE THE PARTS TO REPLACE WOULD NOT BE IN TILL END OF 2015. *JS
VEHICLE STALLED OUT AFTER TAKING A TURN AFTER A STOP SIGN. SPEED WAS AROUND 10-15MPH. ROLLED TO SIDE OF ROAD. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. VEHICLE STRUGGLED TO RE-START AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. WHEN IT DID START IT WOULD IMMEDIATELY STALL AFTER PLACING THE SHIFTER INTO DRIVE. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER. *TR
WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR UN-LATCHED AND OPENED. EFFORT TO CLOSE THE DOOR WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. WE SECURED THE DOOR CLOSE WITH A RATCH-TIE DOWN AND TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE. THE DEALER INDICATED THE DOOR LATCH SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACE FOR $400. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURNING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE TURNING MODULE WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD CALL BACK WHEN THE APPROPRIATE REPAIR WAS AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IN ORDER FOR IT TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE 2013 FORD FUSION ENERGI, LEASED FROM FORD COUNTRY (280 N. GIBSON RD., HENDERSON, NV 89014), LOSES CONTROL OF STEERING. THE LOSS OF STEERING HAS OCCURRED ON THREE (3) SEPARATE INCIDENTS, THE MOST RECENT BEING SEPTEMBER 26, 2014. THERE ARE 2 SEPARATE SYMPTOMS OF THE STEERING PROBLEMS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THE STEERING BECOMES STIFF AS IF IT ONLY HAS MANUAL STEERING. 2. THE STEERING IS COMPLETELY LOST WHEREBY YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE CAR'S STEERING. I TOOK THE CAR TO FORD COUNTRY SERVICE ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2014 FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. FORD COUNTRY SERVICE REPORTED "NO PROBLEM FOUND" AFTER HAVING MULTIPLE TECHNICIANS TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. FORD COUNTRY SERVICE RECOMMENDED I CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPORT THE ISSUE. I COMPLIED AND CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON NAMED [XXX], ID # [XXX], CASE # [XXX]-. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON ([XXX]) RESPONDED ON OCTOBER 6, 2014 STATING THERE WAS NO OTHER ACTION FORD MOTOR COMPANY COULD TAKE BECAUSE THE SERVICE TECHNICIANS NEED TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BEFORE REPAIRS CAN BE MADE AND SINCE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, FORD COUNTRY WAS DIRECTED TO RELEASE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE OWNER AND TERMINATE RENTAL CAR REIMBURSEMENT EFFECTIVE TODAY (OCT. 6, 2014).. I WAS DRIVING ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY ON A SUNNY DAY. MY HEADLIGHTS WERE SET AT "AUTO." THIS SELECTION AUTOMATICALLY TURNS MY HEADLIGHTS FROM DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS TO FULL HEADLIGHTS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT OUTSIDE. I ENTERED ONE OF THE MANY TUNNELS ON THE PARKWAY AND MY LIGHTS DID NOT COME ONE. IT WAS A SHORT TUNNEL, SO I THOUGHT PERHAPS THE SENSOR DIDN'T "THINK IT WAS DARK ENOUGH." HOWEVER, FOR EACH TUNNEL AFTER THAT, AND TO THIS DAY REGARDLESS HOW LONG OR DARK THE TUNNEL, MY "AUTOMATIC" HEADLIGHTS DO NOT TURN MY HEADLIGHTS ON. THIS CREATES AN UNEXPECTED COMPLETE LACK OF VISION. THE CARS WARNING LIGHTS FOR HILL STOP ASSIST, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, TRACTION CONTROL, AND THE AIR BAGS ALL CAME ON INDICATING THAT THESE SAFETY FEATURES WE'RE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID ITS THE RCM OR RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE THAT FAILED. THE CAR WAS IN NO ACCIDENTS, AND WAS DRIVING NORMALLY. THIS PART IS BACKORDERED FOR WEEKS BUT FORD WOULD NOT PROVIDE A LONER VEHICLE, SO WE FACED WITH DRIVING A CAR THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT AS SAFE AS PURCHASED, AND THE MANDATED SAFETY FEATURES ARE NOT WORKING. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 45 MPH THE CARS BESIDE US BEGAN HONKING AND FLASHING LIGHTS AT US. WE BEGAN TO SLOW FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND SMOKE BEGAN TO POUR OUR FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND WE PULLED LEFT INTO THE TURN LANE TO STOP. WE THEN TURNED ON THE FLASHERS AND TURNED OFF THE CAR AND EXITED TO THE MEDIAN. MY 2013 FUSION WITH APPROXIMATELY 12,000 MILES WAS ALREADY SCHEDULED FOR REPAIR TO REPLACE BOTH REAR SHOCKS BECAUSE THEY WERE LEAKING. BEFORE IT WENT IN THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. THE DEALERSHIP SAID "NO PROBLEM WE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT". WHEN I WENT TO PICK IT UP THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT GET THE LIGHT TO GO OUT AND THAT THEY TRIED DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE TO THE RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE (RCM) AND NEEDED TO ORDER ONE. THEN THEY WENT ON TO SAY THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER AND SHOULD ONLY TAKE A FEW DAYS. THEN I GET HOME TO HEAR THE MESSAGE THEY LEFT SAYING THAT THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER AND THAT MY AIRBAGS WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THE MODULE. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WILL TAKE WEEKS TO GET THIS PART AND THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. FROM WHAT THEY TOLD ME, THE MAGNITUDE OF THE BACK ORDER AND WHAT I HAVE READ IT SEEMS THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. HOW MANY FUSION DRIVERS ARE DRIVING AROUND WITHOUT AIRBAGS? THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED AND WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE PLASTIC LATCH ASSEMBLY FAILED TO SECURE THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY. ADVISED BY SERVICE MANAGER TO WRAP SEAT BELT AROUND HANDLE OF DOOR AND FASTEN TO SECURE DOOR IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT NOTE DESCRIBES THE ISSUE AS AN "INSUFFICIENT LATCH". THE CAUSE NOTED IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENTS REVIEW WAS THAT THE LATCH ASSEMBLY "DOES NOT OPERATE PROPERLY". ON 7/26/14 I DROVE 1 HOUR, PARKED, TURNED CAR OFF AND "REMOVED THE IGNITION KEY" THEN THE INTERIOR AIR CONDITIONING BLOWER/FAN TURNED ON FULL AS IF THE DEFROSTER WAS ON. THE TOUCH SCREEN LCD REMAINED ON AS WELL. PRESSING THE CLIMATE CONTROL BUTTONS ON EITHER THE LCD OR THE CONSOLE HAD NO AFFECT. I INSERTED THE KEY AND STARTED THE CAR AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT CHANGE. THE INTERIOR AIR CONDITIONER BLOWER/FAN CONTINUED TO RUN. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE THE CAR WOULD ACTUALLY DRIVE SO I PULLED FORWARD OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE WHEN THE "STOP SAFELY NOW" LIGHT APPEARED AND THE DRIVETRAIN DISENGAGED PREVENTING DRIVE OR REVERSE FROM WORKING. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO ROLL THE CAR BACK TO THE PARKING SPACE SAFELY. I REPEATED THIS PROCESS SEVERAL TIMES AND EVERY TIME THE DRIVETRAIN DISENGAGED WITHIN ABOUT 3 TO 5 SECONDS PREVENTING ANY FORWARD OR REVERSE MOVEMENT. HAD THIS HAPPENED ON A HIGHWAY I JUST DROVE IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A LIFE THREATENING ACCIDENT. LOCKED AND LEFT THE CAR SIT FOR 5 HOURS. CAME BACK TO THE CAR AND IT WORKED NORMALLY FOR A 1 HOUR DRIVE HOME. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND SCHEDULED DIAGNOSTIC. A SECOND ISSUE THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE RELATED OCCURRED AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AND REPLACEMENT OF A PURGE VALUE ASSEMBLY 1 MONTH AGO. THE ISSUE THAT STARTED IS THE ENGINE ENGAGES REGARDLESS OF THE VEHICLE MODE OR OPERATION. EVEN WHEN SET TO FULL ELECTRIC AND PARKED WITH NO ACCESSORIES RUNNING, THE MOTOR TURNS ON AT A HIGH IDLE AND REMAINS ON. A FIRMWARE UPDATE PARTIALLY RESOLVED THE MOTOR RUNNING CONSTANTLY AS NOW IT RUNS A LITTLE MORE THAN 50% OF THE TIME FOR NO REASON AND AT A HIGH IDLE. THERE WERE NO ISSUES DURING THE 10 MONTHS PRIOR TO NEEDING THE PURGE VALVE ASSEMBLY AND SUBSEQUENT ISSUES APPEARING. *TR

THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL GEAR AND RESTARTED IT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED BECAUSE THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT DID ES NOT THINK THE BATTERY CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR SINCE THE VEHICLE RESTARTED WITHOUT BEING JUMP STARTED.
