2023 Ford Maverick Suspension Problems

Vehicle "shakes and vibrates" when accelerating along with odd clicking noises when turning. The sunroof also leaks during car washes.

Bad CV axles causing vibration while accelerating.

Front Left CV Axle replaced at 5000 miles. Same CV axle needs to replaced now at 10287 miles.

I recently reported my Ford maverick for the failure of the front right CV joint/axle at 22k miles. Well when I picked it up from Ford. They notified me that the front left is also bad. And I'm at 23k miles. These are clearly an issue that's happening everywhere.

The cv joint axles are failing. No axles on a new car or truck should EVER fail under 100k miles. Ford maverick axles are failing at under 50k miles. And mine failed at 22k miles. And Ford will only replace 1 at a time. Not only is this a manufacturer defect that can cause accidents or injury but Ford needs to yet again be held accountable. No one pays good money for a factory faulty vehicle.

First time i noticed an issue was [XXX] felt vibration and took to Freeport Ford, Freeport, IL 61030. They took for a test drive and noticed nothing. I returned to Freeport Ford on 01/30/25 for the same issue, violent shaking when accelerating worse on an incline..They told me it was tires and that the 2 fronts had to be replaced 4/32 tread at this point they placed the 2 good rear tires on the front which didn't change a thing, I ordered 2 new tires, and on 01/31/25 took to a Chevrolet dealer in Freeport (friend of mine), they diagnosed that i had 2 faulty CV axles, i let Freeport Ford know of this diagnosis. New tires were installed 02/04/25 on the rear, still didn't change a thing, i told them I had checked the Maverick Forums and found out several complaints about faulty CV axles prematurely failing, at this point they stated they have ordered me a new set of axles, and let me drive out of the dealership on those faulty axles..Now playing the waiting game to see if axles come in first or if a catastrophic axles failure occurs first. Definitely not happy with Ford at this point and believe this needs to be a recall at this time due to all the complaints. The truck shutter when accelerating. The truck currently has 39,000 miles. It seems like it’s a suspension problem.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle was wobbling to the left and to the right. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with CV axle failure. The contact was informed that the CV axle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the parts were on backorder. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

Under 19k Ford replace my axle underwarranty. now 22000 miles the axle is broken again.

The CV drive shift on either the driver side or passenger side of tbe hybrid model is going bad prematurely, currently at 20,000 miles but multiple other Maverick Hybrid owners have experienced the same issues and this is a safety risk as it could break while driving and cause an accident. It has not happened to me yet, as I'm not driving it until it can get fixed by the dealership but it's a concern I think ford needs to address, especially because most dealerships don't have vehicle loaners that customers can use unless they are willing to wait an extended period of time and their only option may be is continue to drive the unsafe vehicle or rent a car if they don't have a second vehicle.

I experienced violent vibration of the front end of this vehicle that started 4 months after purchased from factory delivery to dealership. Tires in front went bald at 5000 miles and over the next 3 months vibration in front end worsened, causing excess wear on the second set of tires. Ford Motor Company was unable to get the defective axles replaced due to poor supply and lack of properly diagnosing the issue initially. I belong to a Ford Maverick Club and this issue is widespread with the 2022 and 2023 models with some dealerships telling customers that there is no danger in driving with the defective CV Joints in the front end and others being instructed not to drive until they can be replaced. Neither of the two dealerships that inspected my car were aware of this widespread issue with the front end CV joint defect. I waited 2 months for the axles to arrive at the dealership and needed to replace all four tires when the new axles were installed. My vehicle was only 11 months old with less than 15,000 miles.
