When having the vehicle in reverse, the rear-camera’s image oftentimes freezes for several moments which causes unreal expectations of what is actually in the rear and how close objects actually are. This has caused fear to my wife, and she prefers not to drive the vehicle in part due to this unresolved issue.
Shortly after startup the infotainment screen on my Maverick froze. After shifting into reverse it was unable to display the reverse camera image. I attempted several shifts between Drive, Park, and Reverse and it remained frozen. I attempted a short key cycle, powering the truck down, including opening the drivers door in an attempt to cycle power to the infotainment and upon restart it remained frozen. After arriving at my destination and leaving the power off for 10-15 minutes it returned to normal behavior on the next key cycle. I have video of the failure occurring, including attempted solutions noted above.

Frost INSIDE windshield on 2023 Maverick. No frost on the outside of windshield. Frost not in the 2 other vehicles parked in the same location. Available for inspection, must be cold enough weather. Cannot see to drive, never had a vehicle needing only the inside of the windsheild scrapped. Experienced here 2nd day in a row, as the weather conditions have become cold enough. Not inspected by others. No messages, or warning lights.
Just took delivery of this new vehicle. The windshield is pitted and this leads to difficulty in cleaning the windshield with the wiper fluid and wipers as a result of the increased surface area and surface roughness. In addition, when the sun is low in the sky visibility is affected by the pitting causing excess refraction.
My windshield appears to be rattling against the dash which I’ve read for others causes windshield to crack. Afraid this will happen to me. Appears many mavericks have this issue.
