While driving on the hwy my moonroof exploded. Which cldve caused a accident due to the shock and fear it caused from the very loud gunshot like sound when exploding out of no where..for reason that was done by myself..

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V040000 (STRUCTURE), THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT ONE OF THE TWO HANDLES HAD BEEN ORDERED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO GET THE SECOND HANDLE FOR MONTHS DUE TO THE PART BEING ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND WAS UNABLE TO GET THE SECOND HANDLE. THE DEALER DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
