There are 1 owner-reported lighting complaints for the 2015 Ford Transitin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
THIS VEHICLE, ALONG WITH EXPLORERS AND TRANSIT CONNECTS, HAS DAY RUNNING LIGHTS (DRLS) THAT ARE BRIGHT ENOUGH TO ACT AS HEADLIGHTS. IN ADDITION, THE GAUGE CLUSTER IS ALWAYS ILLUMINATED, WHICH DOESN'T ALERT THE DRIVER TO THE FACT THAT THE TAILLIGHTS ARE OFF, DECREASING NIGHTTIME VISIBILITY. THE OLDER GAUGE CLUSTERS WERE BETTER. THIS IS NOT A SPECIFIC INCIDENT, BUT A DESIGN FLAW.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
