The contact owns a 2003 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that upon purchasing the vehicle from a towing company, the vehicle would not start. The battery was instantly replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle would wobble and shut off inadvertently while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the stabilizers and shocks were replaced. The independent mechanic then took the vehicle to an electrical failure specialist where it was diagnosed that the front end of the vehicle was experiencing electrical failures. Additionally, the contact stated that a warning message stating that the air bags were not working was displayed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000. Consumer stated in 2016 the odometer was at 175,000 miles per car fax. When consumer bought the vehicle on March 25th 2022 the odometer read 202,575.
When I turn out of a parking spot it clicks and pops replaced ball joints shocks tie rods everything it won't go away and it does it when I pull into a parking spot
CONCERNED ABOUT THE SERVICE NOTICE ON MY DIC WITH THE AUTO RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. P0660 CODE DETECTION. NO INDICATION OF WHAT THE CONDITION OF THE SYSTEM IS INOPERABLE AND IF THE VEHICLE IS IN A SAFE MODE UNTIL REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT OF PARTS ARE MADE.CURRENTLY THE VEHICLE HAS LOCKED THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION TO WHICH THE COMPRESSOR WILL NOT ACTIVATE. SHOCKS ARE IN A MAINTAINED PRESSURE TO WHICH THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED IN A FIRM PRESSURE MAKING A SOLID RIDE AS IF THE VEHICLE WOULD BE IF IN TOW MODE.NOT SURE IF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HANDLING ARE EFFECTIVE.
I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON SUMMIT CROSSING RD. FREDERICKSBURG VA. 22408 AT APPROX.45 MIL.PER HR. ,WHEN I HEARD A BIG BANG ,THE STEERING LOCKED ,THE VEHICLE WENT DIRECTLY HARD LEFT,AND STRUCK LARGE TREES DESTROYING THE FRONT END. ABOUT 3 MINUTES AFTER THE CRASH THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG WENT OFF IN MY FACE.I EXITED THE VEHICLE TO FIND A DAMAGED FRONT WHEEL AND BROKEN AXLE ASSEMBLY NEAR THE VEHICLE.
I HAVE A GMC YUKON AND THE WHEEL BEARINGS IN BOTH SIDES HAVE WENT OUT. I HEARD THAT THE H2 HUMMER HAS A RECALL ON ITS WHEEL BEARING. HOW COME THE YUKON DOESN'T? I HEARD OF OTHER YUKONS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IS THIS A CHEVY PROBLEM? MY WHEEL ALMOST CAME OFF OF MY VEHICLE GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE MECHANIC SAID THE ONLY THING THAT WAS KEEPING IT ON WAS THE BRAKE CALIPER. I SURE HOPE NOBODY GETS HURT OVER SAVING A COUPLE OF DOLLARS, PLEASE THERE NEEDS TO BE A WARNING AND POSSIBLY A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. *TR
I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE INTERSTATE FROM A 4 HOUR DRIVE AND HEARD A AWFUL GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. IT SOUNDED LIKE "METAL AGAINST METAL". AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A BRAKE PAD, BUT THE PADS APPEARED TO BE FINE. I PARKED IT THAT NIGHT AND ON SUNDAY MORNING (6/6/2005) DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM TO CALL IN THE MORNING. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ME MONDAY MORNING AND SAID THAT THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING HAD GONE BAD. IN MY DISCUSSION WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, HE INDICATED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE SURBURBANS, ENVOY'S AND YUKONS. MY CONCERN IS THAT HOW MUCH LONGER WOULD I DRIVEN BEFORE THE BEARING TOTALLY BUNED UP AND CAUSED THE LOSS OF STEERING? I HAD THE WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY REPLACED AT A $494.70 EXPENSE TO ME AND IT IS CURRENTLY DRIVING FINE. THE VEHICLE HAD 46,369 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. *NM
MY CAR PULLS TO THE LEFT THERE WAS FOUR ALIGNMENTS DONE ON MY CAR AND ONE THAT I PAID AND STILL PULLS LIKE CRAZY. *AK

MY 2003 GMC YUKON DENALI HAD JUST OVER 63,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE. THE MAJORITY OF THE DRIVING HAS BEEN ON PAVED ROADS/HIGHWAYS. THE HUB ASSEMBLIES (BOTH SIDES) BEGAN MAKING A NOISE IN MARCH OF 2006. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL CERTIFIED AUTO REPAIR FACILITY AND HAD THEM LOOK AT IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT BOTH FRONT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES WERE IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF REPLACEMENT AND THAT THERE WAS A DANGER IN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I HAD THE WORK DONE ON MARCH 22, 2006. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THE FAILED PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. I CONTACTED THE BBB WHO, IN TURN, REFERRED ME TO THE GMC CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICE. AFTER CONTACTING THESE PEOPLE THEY FILE A REPORT #1-408898915. THEY INDICATED TO ME THAT GMC WOULD DO NOTHING FOR ME DUE TO THE FACTS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THAT I HAD NOT USED A GMC DEALER FOR THE REPAIR WORK. THE REPAIRS WERE #613.59. THE DEALER WOULD HAVE CHARGED ME APPROXIMATELY $1,000 FOR THIS SAME WORK. THEY DID GIVE ME THE ADDRESS OF THE GMC DIVISIONAL OFFICE IN MICHIGAN AND SUGGESTED THAT I CONTACT THEM TO SEE IF THEY WILL DO ANYTHING FOR ME. I WILL DO THIS, BUT I HAVE NOT DONE THIS YET AS I DO NOT ANTICIPATE A POSITIVE RESULT FROM MY EFFORTS. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A DEFECT OF THE PARTS AND/OR VEHICLE. ESPECIALLY SINCE BOTH THE BRAKES AND THE TIRES OUT LASTED THE WHEEL ASSEMBLIES. THERE SHOULD BE AN "IMPLIED WARRANTY" THAT MAJOR COMPONENTS LIKE THESE HAVE A LIFE EXPECTANCY THAT EXCEEDS THE WRITTEN WARRANTY. *NM
