THERE WAS A RECALL FOR SOME 2009 YUKONS FOR FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE BUT GMC SAID THIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS A BIGGER PROBLEM THEN THEY ARE ADMITTING. I GUESS SOMEONE ELSE HAS TO DIE BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE! TOWED VEHICLE TO MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE. $690.00. SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET REIMBURSED FOR A DEFECTED PART! RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 09V154000( FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,999.

WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED; THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO RECALL 09V154000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). HE WAS ABLE TO RESET THE LIGHT AND IT TURNED OFF; HOWEVER, THE NEXT DAY THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. SHORTLY AFTER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE HAD A SHORTAGE AND REPLACED THE MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 80,272.
