AT APPROX. 6000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO HUNT FOR THE CORRECT GEAR. AT SPEEDS ABOVE 45MPH IT FEELS LIKE THE ENGINE HAS A BAD MISS. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES, ON THE LAST VISIT WE WERE TOLD THAT HONDA FACTORY TECHS ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAVE REMOVED OTHER TRANSMISSIONS AND ARE WORKING ON IT. AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO, INC. AND THE FLORIDA OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.
WENT TO HONDA DEALERSHIP IN SANTA MARIA CA AND THEY AGREED TO DO A OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. WHEN OIL CHANGE WAS DUE I TOOK AGAIN AND THEY SAID I HAVE TO TAKE IT SOONER. ON THE RECEIPT OF OIL CHANGE DEALERSHIP IN DEED DID WRITE A MESSAGE THAT SAID IT WASTED TO MUCH OIL. WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE TO DEALERSHIP FOR FURTHER TEST. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF MY CAR WAS THE ONLY CAR WITH THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM. ALSO MY STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY SHAKES AND MAKES A LIGHT NOISE, DOESN'T RUN AS SMOOTH AS IT USE TO. WILL CONTACT DEALERSHIP FOR THAT MATTER.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SLOW TO REACT TO ROAD CONDITIONS. TRANSMISSION REVERTS TO LOW GEAR AFTER BRAKING ON SLIPPERY ROADS CAUSING SEVERAL SECONDS OF EXCESSIVE ENGINE BRAKING MAKING THE CAR DIFFICULT TO CONTROL UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION UP SHIFTS TO THE PROPER GEAR FOR ROAD SPEED
ON THE 3 REAR SEAT BELTS, THE EMERGENCY LOCKING RETRACTOR LOCKS UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS THEREFORE CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED UNLESS YOU REMOVE THE BELTS AND ALLOW THEM TO FULLY RETRACT.
