CLEAR COAT IS PEELING OFF ON THE ROOF AND TRUNK. DEALER TOOK PICTURES AND CAME BACK TWO MONTHS LATER SAYING THEY WOULD PAINT IT FOR $2,200.00. THIS IS A CLEARLY DOCUMENTED MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. TWO MINUTES ON THE INTERNET WILL CONFIRM THAT. RECENTLY I PAID OVER $2,000.00 FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. AT THAT TIME THEY REMINDED ME WHAT A GOOD INVESTMENT IT WAS AS THE CAR WOULD LAST ANOTHER 100,000 MILES. NOW WITH THE PAINT COMING OFF, MY INVESTMENT IS GONE. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014, AT AROUND 8:20 AM, I WAS DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON 880. TRAFFIC WAS VERY LIGHT AND THE ROAD IS VERY SMOOTH IN THAT AREA BECAUSE IT WAS REPAVED IN THE LAST YEAR. MY SPEED WAS 65 MPH. I WAS DRIVING IN THE RIGHTMOST LANE BECAUSE I WAS CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION AND BECAUSE FLOW OF TRAFFIC IS SOMEWHAT HIGHER THAN 65MPH IN THE OTHER LANES. WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT IMPACT FROM ANY OTHER VEHICLES OR FROM ANYTHING ON THE ROAD, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ACTIVATED. ALTHOUGH MY EARS WERE RINGING, I WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE NEXT EXIT, HEGENBERGER RD, WHICH WAS ABOUT 1/2 MILE FROM WHEN THE AIRBAG EXPLODED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR OTHER INDICATIONS OF PROBLEMS BEFORE THE AIRBAG ACTIVATED. *TR
MY 2004 HONDA ACCORD V6 TRANSMISSION DECIDED TO DIE ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER THE 15TH. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I REALIZED THE RPM'S WERE GOING UP, BUT I WASN'T GETTING ANY ACCELERATION. I PULLED OVER TO CHECK MY TRANSMISSION FLUID, OIL AND ETC. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. SO I START BACK ON THE ROAD TRYING TO MAKE IT TO MY DESTINATION. THE NEXT THING I KNOW I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A CHAIN BREAKING OFF AND THE CAR JUMPED BACK LIKE I WAS GEARING DOWN REALLY LOW. I HIT MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND BLACKED OUT FOR A MINUTE. THANKFULLY I HAD SOMEONE WITH ME AND THEY GRABBED THE STEERING WHEEL AND DIRECTED US OFF THE INTERSTATE. WE LIFTED THE HOOD ONCE AGAIN AND COULD SMELL SOMETHING BURNT. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED. WE HAD NO ISSUES PRIOR TO THE DATE THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. I'M EXTREMELY UPSET BY THIS. THE CAR HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE OF AND MAINTAINED REGULARLY. MY FAMILY IS HONDA ENTHUSIAST AND HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS. THAT IS WHY WE ALWAYS BOUGHT HONDA'S, FOR THEIR RELIABILITY. I THINK HONDA NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT AND HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FIXED. FROM WHAT I'VE READ THIS HAS BEEN A MAJOR PROBLEM AFFECTING TONS AND THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN RECALLED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THE DRIVER FELL ASLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A BUS TUNNEL AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY VEHICLE SHOWS THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG IS NOT WORKING. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME I START MY CAR.
I TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR AIR BAG RECALL WITH TAKATA PART -- HONDA FIXED DRIVER SIDE BUT NOW SAYS THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG FOR MY VEHICLE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 2015 -- HOW CAN THEY ALLOW THE SERIOUSNESS OF SUCH A DEFECT GO ON FOR SO LONG WHILE PUTTING ME AND ANY PASSENGER IN MY AUTO IN POTENTIAL DANGER INCLUDING DEATH. I LIVE IN MIAMI FL WHICH FALLS IN THE MOST HIGH RISK HOT/HUMID AREAS OF THE COUNTRY! *TR
ON 10/27/14 I WENT TO HTTP://WWW.HONDA.COM/RECALLS AND DISCOVERED A SAFETY RECALL ON THE FRONT AIRBAGS OF MY 2004 HONDA ACCORD. ON 10/28/14 I CALLED JIM MCNATT HONDA OF DENTON (4050 INTERSTATE 35 FRONTAGE RD, DENTON, TX 76210) AT (888) 605-6932. THEY SAID THE PARTS WERE BACK ORDERED BUT THEY WOULD CALL AND LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE. ON 11/22/14 JIM MCNATT REPLACED MY DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG BUT THEY TOLD ME THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS STILL ON BACK ORDER. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN IT CAME IN. ON 2/6/15 I RECEIVED THE OFFICIAL SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL AND ON 2/7/15 I RECEIVED A VOICEMAIL FROM AMERICAN HONDA REGARDING THE RECALL. ON 2/6/15 I CALLED JIM MCNATT ADVISING THEM OF THE NOTICE I RECEIVED AND ASKED IF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG PART, THE ONE REQUESTED ON 10/28/14, WAS AVAILABLE. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS THAT IT?S BEEN ALMOST THREE MONTHS AND NO-ONE FROM JIM MCNATT HAS CONTACTED ME REGARDING THE BACK ORDERED PART. THE SERVICE ADVISER TOLD ME HE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME ON 2/25/15 TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS WOULD AT A MINIMUM GIVE HIM A REMINDER TO CALL ME BEFORE 2/25/15 IF THE PART WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. AS OF 3/22/15 I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM JIM MCNATT AND MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. THE RECALL NOTICE STATED THAT IF AMERICAN HONDA OR THE DEALER HAS FAILED TO REPAIR THE DEFECT WITHIN 60 DAYS FROM THE TIME I FIRST CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP (10/28/14) I MAY SUBMIT A COMPLAINT TO THE NHTSA (SAFECAR.GOV). AMERICAN HONDA/THE DEALERSHIP HAS FAILED TO REPAIR MY SAFETY DEFECT WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AND HAS FAILED AT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. *TR
HI, THE HONDA KNOCK SENSOR HARNESS WIRE IS MADE WITH LOW-GRADE MATERIAL, WHICH IS GETTING SNAPPED OR CUT DUE TO ENGINE HEAT OR ATTRACTING VERMIN AS PER BLOGS DIRVEACCORD.NET, ODYCLUB.COM AS BEING SOYA BASED. THE PART NUMBER FOR ACCORD V6: P/N 30531-RCA-A00 H/C 7134133 OR ODYSSEY, PILOT: P/N 30531-P8F-A00 H/C 5878327. THIS WIRE COST IS $5-$6 BUT IT TAKES ABOUT $600 TO $700 TO REPLACE IN LOCAL DEALERSHIP WITH ENGINE MALFUNCTION HAPPENING WITH P0325 CODE WHICH INDICATES KNOCK SENSOR MALFUNCTION. THE SENSOR FAILING SUDDENLY WITH OUT WARNING IS CAUSING UNTOLD HARD SHIPS TO ALL THE HONDA OWNERS AND ITS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE AND OVER HEATING. SO I AM REQUESTING NHTSA TO INVESTIGATE AND REQUEST HONDA TO ISSUE AN RECALL OF THIS SMALL 3INCH WIRE AND AVOID HEADACHES TO THE COMMON PEOPLE. TRANSMISSION FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. BOUGHT VEHICLE USED IN FEB. 2014 FROM DEALER WITH 97,570MI. AT 104,000, TRANSMISSION FAILED. REPAIRS CAN RANGE FROM $4500 TO $3400, WITH EITHER A HONDA REBUILT TRANSMISSION OR MY OWN BEING REBUILT. SINCE HONDA WAS AWARE OF THESE FAILURES (HAD A RECALL BEFORE I WAS AN OWNER) AND THE DEALER THAT SOLD ME THE CAR WAS LIKELY ALSO AWARE, I FIND THESE PRACTICES TOTALLY DISHONEST AND BORDERING ON ILLEGAL. I PAID ALMOST $10,000 FOR THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF LOW MILEAGE, ONLY TO HAVE A MAJOR FAILURE 8 MONTHS LATER. *TR
I CONTACTED THE PAT PECK HONDA DEALERSHIP IN GULFPORT, MS IN OCT 2014 TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR MY DAUGHTER'S CAR BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER AND SHE WOULD BE CONTACTED WHEN IT CAME IN. MY DAUGHTER CALLED ONCE TO CHECK ON IT AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE STILL WAITING ON THE PART. ON JAN 3, 2015, SHE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPT AND WAS PASSED AROUND TO APPROXIMATELY 4-5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE/DEPARTMENTS, NONE OF WHOM ACTED LIKE THEY KNEW WHAT TO DO OR WHO TO TRANSFER HER TO. SHE WAS TOLD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, WHICH SHE DID, AND SHE WAS STILL NOT CALLED BACK. I THEN CALLED THE SERVICE DEPT AND ASKED FOR THE MANAGER, EXPLAINED WHO I WAS AND WHO I WAS CALLING FOR AND ABOUT AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD NO RECORD OF THE INITIAL REQUEST IN OCT 2014 AND NO RECORD OF ANY PARTS BEING ORDERED. I WAS ASSURED THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART WOULD BE ORDERED IMMEDIATELY AND SHE WOULD BE CONTACTED TO SET UP AN APPT. IT IS NOW FEB 3, 2015 AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. WE RECEIVED THE 1ST SAFETY RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE AIRBAG ISSUE IN THE MAIL TODAY AND NOW THERE IS A 2ND RECALL ON THE SAME AIRBAG(S). I AM CONTACTING THE SERVICE DEPT AGAIN TOMORROW, BUT THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, ON BOTH HONDA'S PART AND ON PAT PECK HONDA'S PART. THE FACT THAT TAKATA IS THE ONLY MANUFACTURER OF THIS AIRBAG IS ALSO HIGHLY CONCERNING, BOTH IN THEIR DENIAL TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND IN THEIR LACK OF CONCERN. HONDA HAS ALWAYS HAD A GREAT REPUTATION AND HIGH RESALE VALUE, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST HONDA WE OWN. THIS IS NOT A MINOR SAFETY ISSUE AND I HAPPEN TO VALUE MY 22 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER'S LIFE A LITTLE MORE THAN HONDA DOES.......THAT POINT HAS BEEN MADE VERY CLEAR. 2004 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO RECALL CONCERNING AN AIRBAG DEFECT. *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED IN 2004 FOR A SAFETY DEFECT RELATED TO THE AIR BAGS. SOON AFTER THE DEFECT WAS SUPPOSEDLY REMEDIED, AN INTERMITTENT SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED, ON THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED, IT WAS NOT A SEAT BELT ISSUE, BUT AN AIR BAG ISSUES. THE CONSUMER WAS REFERRED TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM, IT WOULD COST % 199.00 TO CORRECTLY DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED HONDA MOTOR COMPANY, AND WAS INFORMED, THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR ANY REPAIRS, THAT WERE NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL. *JB

I'VE NOTICED MANY OTHER HONDA VEHICLES WITH THE SAME CONDITION. IN ADDITION, THE ABS BRAKE WARNING LIGHT HAS GONE ON AND WE'VE BEEN TOLD BY HONDA THAT THE CAR NEEDS THE ABS MODULE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1,200. WE HAVE NOT MADE THIS REPAIR DUE TO THE COST AND AGE OF THE VEHICLE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TODAY, I HAD PASSENGER SIDE CEILING AND SEAT AIR BAG INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. AS THE DRIVER, I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE VEHICLE (HOWEVER, APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES LATER, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A TODDLER IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE BACKSEAT) . I WAS STARTLED AND CONFUSED BY THE UNEXPECTED EXPLOSIVE NOISE ("BOOM") AND ONLY NOTICED THE SIDE AIR BAG "CURTAIN" A FEW SECONDS LATER AND AFTER THAT, THE PROTRUDING PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG. *TR

DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 55MPH. STARTED TO PULL A SLIGHT HILL AND WAS PREPARING TO PASS A TRUCK. VEHICLE RPMS WENT HIGHER BUT SPEED CONTINUED TO DROP OFF. ENDED UP COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP ON A BRIDGE WITH NO SHOULDER. HAD TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND THEN RESTART TO GET IT TO GO AGAIN. WENT ABOUT 14 MILES AND IT DID IT AGAIN. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP. WAS SERVICED LAST WEEK AND HAD TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGED AS A PART OF RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE BY HONDA DEALERSHIP. CAR IN SHOP NOW. THE LOSS OF POWER COULD HAVE HAD SERIOUS REPERCUSSIONS ON OUR SAFETY. *TR
I HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WITH MY 2004 HONDA ACCORD AT 122,000 MILES. THAT'S UNHEARD OF! I'VE PURCHASED 3 HONDAS BEFORE THIS ONE & NEVER A PROBLEM. THE TORQUE CONVERTER CAME APART ON MY TRANSMISSION & I HAD TO GET IT REBUILT. THE BILL WAS $2200. AMERICAN HONDA SAID SORRY & THEY COULDN'T GUARANTEE WHEN A TRANSMISSION WILL GO OUT. REALLY? 122,000 MILES? I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER HONDA. I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE & COULD HAVE BEEN IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT! ALL THEY CAN SAY IS SORRY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO UPSET BEFORE. POWER STEERING FLUID IS LEAKING ONTO THE EXHAUST FROM THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM FOR 2003-2007 HONDA ACCORDS. HOWEVER MY VEHICLE WASN'T INCLUDED. IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. *TR
THE POWER STEERING HOSES DEVELOPED A LEAK CAUSING TURNS TO BE VERY DIFFICULT. THE CAR IS A 4 CYLINDER. LOOKED UP RECALLS AND IT SEEMS LIKE THEY RECALLED THE HOSES FOR THE 6 CYLINDER AND NOT THE 4. LOSING POWER STEERING IN A TURN CAN BE PRETTY DANGEROUS. *JS

WHILE DRIVING, I HEAR AND FEEL A LOUD THUMP, THE CAR BEGINS TO JERK, SLOWS DOWN, AND THREE DIFFERENT LIGHTS APPEAR ALL AT ONCE ON THE DASHBOARD. IT'S BEGINNING TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY. PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. NO ONE CAN SEEM TO TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG. I AM AWARE THAT HONDA PASSED A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION ON THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL OF MY CAR, BUT MY CAR WASN'T ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE RECALL, BECAUSE MY VIN # DIDN'T APPLY. I BELIEVE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSMISSION AND ALL VIN #'S THAT SHARE THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL AS I SHOULD BE AWARDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS RECALL OPTION AS WELL.
FELT LIKE THE GEARS STOPPED ENGAGING AND THE RPMS SPIKED. SLOWED DOWN AND GOT IT TO REENGAGE BUT ONLY IN 1ST OR 2ND GEAR. AFTER PULLING OVER, THE GEARS WOULDN'T ENGAGE AT ALL. RESTARTED THE CAR BUT THE SAME SLIPPAGE AND RPM SPIKING HAPPENED AGAIN. DEALER WANTS $5600 TO REPAIR. HONDA HAD A LIMITED RECALL BUT IS REVIEWING ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. HAVE BEEN A LOYAL HONDA CUSTOMER FOR NEARLY 25 YEARS, BUT AM QUESTIONING THAT LOYALTY NOW. *TR
I TOOK MY CAR TO A LOCAL HONDA DEALER FOR A RECALL TO BE REPAIRED. AFTER GETTING THE CAR BACK, I STILL GET A DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHT INDICATING THAT THE PART MAY STILL BE DEFECTIVE. THE PART IN QUESTION IS THE PASSENGER SIDE POWER SEAT WIRE HARNESS (SEAT SRS SENSOR). WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK I CAME TO A RED LIGHT, AS I PROCEEDED TO HIT THE GAS THE CAR STARTED TO JUMP AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I WAS HITTING THE GAS THE ENGINE WOULD REV AND THE RPM'S WERE SUPER HIGH BUT THE CAR WOULD ONLY GO ABOUT 5 MPH WITH THE ENDING REVVING REALLY LOUD. AFTER ABOUT A FEW SECONDS OF HITTING THE GAS AND ONLY GOING 5MPH THE CAR WOULD FINALLY JUMP INTO GEAR AND GO. EVERY TIME THE CAR WOULD COME TO A STOP AND THEN HAVE TO GO AGAIN THAT'S WHEN IT WOULD HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THAT NIGHT WE DECIDED TO TAKE IT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND THAT'S WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE "D" SHIFT LIGHT WAS BLINKING AND THE "TCA" LIGHT CAME ON. THERE IS SERIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR WHEN THE DAY BEFORE THE CAR DROVE LIKE NEW. WE LOOKED UP THE RECALLS ON ONLINE FOR OUR VEHICLE AND SEE THAT THERE IS ONE OUT FOR THE AUTO TRANSMISSION. JUST WEIRD ALL THE SUDDEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND THERE IS A RECALL OUT IN THAT. PLEASE HELP! *TR

VEHICLE STARTED SLOWING DOWN ALL OF A SUDDEN THEN I PROCEEDED TO PULL OVER. ONCE I PULLED OVER TURN VEHICLE OFF AND STARTED VEHICLE BACK UP IT PULLED OFF FINE THEN IT WAS SLIPPING GEARS. THEY INITIALLY DENIED SERVICE SAYING THAT THERE IS NO RECALL OPEN FOR MY VEHICLE BY THE VIN NUMBER, THEN SHE SAID THAT IT WAS ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF SOMETIMES IN 2004. WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE 2005 AND WE NEVER HAD IT REPAIRED FOR THIS PROBLEM. I WANT TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT AND NOT LOOK FOR TROUBLE, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO BE PROACTIVE WHEN THE DEALERS WANT TO CHARGE YOU EVEN WHEN THERE IS A WELL-KNOWN NATIONWIDE RECALL FOR THE VERY PROBLEM YOU ARE REPORTING. AS I STARTED MY TURN, AGAIN TRANS STALLED ONLY THIS TIME ONCOMING TRAFFIC WAS COMING AT ME WHICH INCLUDED A MONSTROUS SEMI-TRUCK. AS CARS SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES I CREPT THROUGH THE INTERSECTION TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. CAR TOWED TO MY MECHANIC WHO HAS TAKEN CARE OF THE CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW IN 2004. MIND YOU I HAD NO SECURITY WARNINGS OR ALERTS COME UP ON THE DASH. I HAVE HAD NO LEAKS, NOTHING ON THE GROUND WHERE I PARK. MY MECHANIC TOOK FOR TEST RIDE & HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND WITHOUT STEPPING ON THE GAS, THE CAR KEPT ACCELERATING. WHEN SHE TRIED TO BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN, THE CAR WOULD SHUDDER AND KEPT TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT WAS NOT A FLOOR MAT PROBLEM. SHE GOT UP TO 85MPH!! SHE HAD TO DOWN SHIFT (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) TO TRY AND SLOW DOWN TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY IN YORBA LINDA, CA. THANKFULLY, SHE GOT OFF SAFELY AND MANAGED TO STOP THE CAR. SHE HAD AAA TOW THE CAR HOME. EVEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER COULD NOT GET THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND SAID HE FELT THE CAR REVVING. SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE TOYOTA INCIDENTS, BUT WAS NOT AWARE OF HONDAS HAVING THIS ISSUE. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS!!! SO VERY GRATEFUL THAT MY DAUGHTER DID NOT GET HURT OR INJURE ANYONE ELSE. THE POWER STEERING HOSE WAS RECENTLY REPLACED DUE TO RECALL 12V-222. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THE POWER STEERING PUMP IS DAMAGED AND IS RELATED TO THIS RECALL. MULTIPLE MECHANICS, INCLUDING THE DEALER, SUSPECT THE PUMP MAY BE GOING OUT, THOUGH IT IS STILL FUNCTIONING FINE. HONDA SHOULD COVER THE COST OF REPLACING THE POWER STEERING PUMP. ALSO, THE O-RING IN THE INLET HOSE WAS NOT REPLACED. I REALIZE IT WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL, BUT THERE ARE WIDE REPORTS THAT THIS O-RING, ONCE REPLACED, WILL RESOLVE A LEAKING ISSUE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN I TRY TO TURN ON CAR THERE IS A LOST IN CONNECTION AND CAR WON'T TURN ON I HAVE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER FOR CAR TO FINALLY TURN ON. I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH AND SEEMS LIKE OTHER HONDA OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
