I AM THE FIRST OWNER OF MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD SPORT AND 2 MONTHS AGO I DEVELOPED AN ISSUE WITH THE STARTER. I'VE REPLACED THE STARTER TWICE AND TONIGHT GOT STRANDED AND HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO BRING IT HOME. I'VE GONE TO THE HONDA DEALER AND, OF COURSE, THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH THE STARTER, BUT IT WILL COST $1000+ TO FIX! THIS ISSUE MUST BE INVESTIGATED AND RECALLED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HONDA IS FULLY AWARE OF ALL OF THESE ISSUES AND IF YOU GET THE RIGHT TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP - THEY'LL TELL YOU HONDA IS FULLY AWARE, BUT COULDN'T CARE LESS! 2 STARTERS LATER - I'M STILL IN THE SAME POSITION!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING WHEEL VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
I HAVE OWNED MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD SINCE 2013. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THIS MODEL. THE MOST BEING WITH THE CAR STARTING. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE STARTER AND AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS STARTING THE CAR. I WENT ONLINE AND NOTICED THAT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. TH CAR MAKES A CLICKING NOISE AS IF IT IS GOING TO START THEN IT DOESN'T START. ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON AND IT THEN BEGINS TO START AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES HAVE GONE BY. PUSHING THE BUTTON DOES NOT GET THE CAR TO START. YOU HAVE TO PUSH IT NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET IT TO START. THIS PROBLEM HAS COST ME UPWARDS OF $700 TO $1,000 TO REPLACE EVERY TIME THERE IS AN ISSUE. THIS SHOULD BE A MANUFACTURERS ISSUE AS A STARTER SHOULD NOT BE WORN OUT IN 3 YEARS. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM AS I AM SURE IT WILL BE A LAWSUIT COMING SOON BASED ON ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I HAVE READ WITH THIS ISSUE. I AM TAKING MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TODAY TO HAVE THIS ISSUE LOOKED AT AGAIN.
INTERMITTENT ENGINE STARTING. STARTER IS ENERGIZED BUT FAILS TO START MOTOR. A LOUD GNASHING OR GRINDING CAN BE HEARD AS THE STARTER TRIES TO TURN MOTOR. IT SOUNDS AS IF THE STARTER DOESN'T FULLY ENGAGE THE FLEX PLATE/FLYWHEEL. ENGINE EVENTUALLY STARTS AFTER SEVERAL (AS MANY AS 10) ATTEMPTS. THE PROBLEM IS NOT CONSISTENT WITH ANY CONDITION. I'VE DRIVEN 2 WEEKS WITH NO ISSUES THEN WILL HAVE 5 EPISODES IN 2 DAYS. A COMPLETELY RANDOM OCCURRENCE BUT VERY FRUSTRATING AND EMBARRASSING.
THE KEY TURNS OVER BUT ENGINE DOES NOT CRANK
WHILE DRIVING ON A 2 LANE ROAD, I SUDDENLY LOST POWER IN MY STEERING AND AS I WAS APPROACHING A CURVE I NEARLY CRASHED INTO THE CAR NEXT TO ME. THE STEERING LIGHT CAME ON AND STEERING THE CAR WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE AND EXITED A THE NEAREST EXIT AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. WHEN I TURNED IT OFF AND ON AGAIN THE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD VANISHED AND THE STEERING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. SINCE THEN I HAVEN'T FELT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I CALLED MY LOCAL HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THEY SAID THAT WITHOUT THE LIGHT ON OR THE ISSUE BEING APPARENT, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I AM CONCERN WITH THIS ISSUE AS IT IMPLIES A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE READ SOME POSTS AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL.
PUSH START FAILURE MY CAR HAD 50000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT STARTED HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE PUSH START BUTTON. IT DID IT ONCE A WEEK SOMETIMES AND EVENTUALLY HAPPENED EVERY TIME I TRIED TO START THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO PIN POINT THE PROBLEM. THE STARTER CHECKED OUT OK BUT SINCE THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY OTHER PROBLEM, THEY REPLACED THE STARTER AND KEPT THE ORIGINAL INCASE I CONTINUED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM THEY COULD RETURN THE ORIGINAL AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS AND SO FAR I HAVENT HAD THE PROBLEM ANYMORE. ONLY TIME WILL TELL.
I AM THE 1ST OWNER OF MY ACCORD.THE ISSUE OCCURS WITH THE CAR BEING STATIONARY AND PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY, PARKING LOT OR ON A STREET. WITH IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH STARTING MY CAR. I WOULD TURN THE KEY THE DASH AND ALL ASSOCIATED PARTS WOULD LIGHT UP BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. THE BATTERY WAS FINE. IT WOULD TAKE 3 TURNS OF THE KEY TO GET IT STARTED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY 8/17/16 AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT WITH A BAD STARTER. THE COST OF THE REPAIR IS $900-$1000. THE CAR HAS 35000 AND I HAVE OWNED IT FOR 3 YEARS.
I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 2013 HONDA ACCORD, EX-L,. MY HONDA HAS 42K MILES. AT ABOUT 25K MILES MY ACCORD STARTED TO MAKE A VERY OBVIOUS AND DISTURBING DRONING/HUMMING NOISE AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40 MPH. THE NOISE BECAME PROGRESSIVELY LOUDER AS TIME WENT BY. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER 2 TIMES AND ASKED THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM, TO NO AVAIL. AFTER HAVING NEW TIRES INSTALLED AT 42K MILES, AND THE DRONING NOISE WAS STILL OCCURRING, I BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER A THIRD TIME AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE NOISE PROBLEM AS COMING FROM A DEFECTIVE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL BEARING AND A DEFECTIVE REAR LEFT WHEEL BEARING. BOTH WHEEL BEARINGS WERE REPLACED ON JULY 27, 2016 AND THE DRONING NOISE ABOVE 40 MPH IS GONE. REPLACING THE WHEEL BEARINGS FIXED THE PROBLEM! THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY THE WHEEL BEARINGS FAILED, AND HE STATED THAT THE TECHNICIANS AT THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT KNOW WHY/HOW THE BEARINGS FAILED EITHER. I CONTACTED HONDA AMERICA HQ ON AUGUST 1, 800-999-1009, AND WAS TOLD THAT HONDA AMERICA WOULD NOT DISCLOSE THE DETAILS OF THE BEARING FAILURES. THEY ALSO DECLINED MY REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE THE REPLACEMENT OF THE REMAINING 2 WHEEL BEARINGS. HONDA AMERICA ESTABLISHED A CASE NUMBER FOR MY ISSUE, CASE # 04884545. DUE TO THE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY FROM HONDA AMERICA AS TO THE CAUSE/RESOLUTION OF THE WHEEL BEARING FAILURES, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE UNDERLYING BEARING OR WHEEL STRUCTURE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED, AND THAT MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD WILL BE SUBJECTED TO FUTURE WHEEL BEARING FAILURES.
WHILE DRIVING ON A LOCAL STREET I ATTEMPTED TO MALE A LEFT WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES, TURNED IT ON AND THE STEERING RESPONDED. THAT SAME DAY WHEN RETURNING HOME I DECIDED NOT TO TAKE THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE OF THE STEERING PROBLEM. AGAIN, THIS TIME WHILE DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE THE VEHICLE LOST STEERING. TURNING IT OFF AGAIN FOR THREE MINUTES SEEMED TO RESTORE STEERING.
GO TO START MY CAR AND LIGHTS AND AC WORK FINE. THE ENGINE DOES NOT WANT TO TURN OVER AND TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS SOMETIMES AND OTHER TIMES IT STARTS RIGHT OFF. THE BATTERY IS ONLY TWO MONTHS OLD AND THE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE STARTER WHICH IS GOING TO COST ME $700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE. DEALER SAID THAT THIS IS WAY TOO EARLY FOR A STARTER TO GO OUT ON A 3 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 550 MILES ON IT. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND HAVE FOUND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ACROSS THE U.S. HAVING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. THIS NEEDS THE UPMOST IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AS THIS IS A VERY COSTLY AND DETRIMENTAL ISSUE AND SOME OF US HAVE NO MONEY TO FIX THIS!!! THIS MUST BE DEALT WITH NOW BEFORE LAWSUITS START HAPPENING!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FIRST INTERIM NOTICE CONCERNING AN AIR BAG RECALL HAD BEEN RECEIVED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, BUT THE PARTS HAD NOT BEEN SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO SUPPLY THE DEALER WITH PARTS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE.
PREMATURE BRAKE WEAR. REPLACED FRONT ROTORS AND FRONT PADS LAST YEAR DUE TO VIBRATION ALONG WITH REAR PADS. AROUND JUNE 2015 WITH 55,000 MILES ON CAR. THEN THE REAR CALIPER SEIZED UP ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN MARCH 2016, 70245 MILES. REAR ROTORS RESURFACED AND PADS REPLACED. NOW I JUST HAD SERVICE DONE BECAUSE REAR DRIVER SIDE CALIPER SEIZED UP. THEY ALSO DID FRONT ROTORS AND PADS DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEAR. MILEAGE 79000.
WHILE DRIVING 7/15/16 THE ELECTRIC STEERING WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT WENT ON, AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN OR STEER UNTIL IT FINALLY CEASED TO TURN (TOTAL TIME FOR COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING CAPABILITY WAS LESS THAN 1 MIN.). I WAS DRIVING ON A 4-LANE CITY STREET TRAVELING AT ABOUT 45MPH. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF FOR ABOUT 3 MINS. AND THEN RESTARTED IT. THE INDICATOR LIGHT WAS OFF AND THE STEERING WORKED FINE. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP WHO TOLD ME THE CAR IS PROBABLY FINE AS IT HAD A SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTALLED 9 MOS. AGO AND IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN I SHOULD BRING THE CAR IN FOR REPLACING THE STEERING BOX. I REQUESTED A NOTE BE MADE IN MY CAR REPAIR HISTORY. THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ME WITH ANY PAPERWORK.
MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD EX-L HAS BEEN HAVING INTERMITTENT STARTING PROBLEMS (PUSH BUTTON START). THIS STARTING HAPPENING APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS AGO. YESTERDAY, JULY 14, 2016, THE CAR WOULD NOT START AT ALL. THIS IS NOT A CAR BATTERY ISSUE BECAUSE ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE WORKING, I.E. RADIO, DASH LIGHTS, HORN ETC. THIS ALSO IS NOT A KEY FOB BATTERY ISSUE BECAUSE THE KEY FOB STILL LOCKS AND UNLOCKS THE DOOR. CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THIS CAR IS STILL UNDER THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY, CAR IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND HAS A LITTLE OVER 32,000 MILES.
ON TWO OF OUR TIRES THE RUBBER CRACKED AND COMPLETELY SPLIT FROM THE RADIAL AROUND 1/3 TO 2/3 AROUND THE TIRE ABOUT 0.25" FROM THE WHEEL RIM. THIS HAPPENED ON 2 OF THE 4 TIRES (ALL THE SAME DOT AND INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME.) THE REAR TIRES SHOW THE INITIAL SIGNS OF THE SAME DEFECT BUT THE RUBBER HASN'T SEPARATED YET FROM THE RADIAL. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 45,000 MILES ON THEM INSTALLED AND SERVICE BY FIRESTONE. LUCKILLY THERE WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT, BREAKDOWN, FIRE, ETC; HOWEVER, IT IS VERY SUSPICIOUS THAT ALL FOUR TIRES HAVE NEARLY THE SAME DEFECT. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE TIRES. DOT Y9BC CLHX 3315. BRAND PRIME WALL SIZE 205/65/R16 ON 2013 HONDA ACCORD. LOCATED IN SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA.
2ND TIME HAVING THE FCW FAILED ISSUE. DASH LIGHTS UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. TRACTION AND SLUGGISH RESPONSE TO FOOT ON PEDAL. MAKES ME NERVOUS TO DRIVE. COST ME A TON TO FIX THE FIRST TIME, I'M SURE THEY WILL CHARGE ME AGAIN. READING ONLINE I AM NOT ALONE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
"TAKATA RECALL". (LONG TERM EXPOSURE TO HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY CAN CAUSE THESE AIRBAGS TO EXPLODE WHEN DEPLOYED) MY HORN LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL CONSTANTLY BLARES WHEN EXPOSED TO HIGH HEAT WHILE IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND STATIONARY. THIS ISSUE COMES AND GOES AND THE DEALERSHIP "HONDA WORLD" LOCATED IN DOWNEY, CA. REFUSES TO INSPECT THE ISSUE. THEY TELL ME THE PROBELM NEEDS TO OCCUR FOR THEM TO INSPECT THE ISSUE. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 05/2016 THIS ISSUE ONLY OCCURES IN THE SUMMER TIME NOT THE WINTER WHICH TELLS ME IT'S BEING CAUSED BY HEAT. BECAUSE THE AIRBAG IS ALSO LOCATED IN THE STEERING WHEEL THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED ASAP. I HAVE VIDEOS ON MY CELL PHONE CAMERA AS PROOF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED TO START AND THE NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DRAIN. THE NAVIGATIONAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE DUE TO BATTERY FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE STARTER ASSEMBLY; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM CONTINUED TO FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,031.
STARTER MOTOR HAD PROGRESSIVE PREMATURE FAILURE. BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CAR NOT STARTING ABOUT A MONTH AGO. LOUD CLICK, ALL DASH LIGHTS WOULD COME ON, BUT NO CRANK OR START. EVENTUALLY WOULD NOT RE-START AND LEFT CAR STRANDED. CAR STARTED WITH JUMPER CABLES. DEALER DIAGNOSED STARTER FAILURE. VEHICLE IS 2-1/2 YEARS OLD WITH 49,845 MILES. DEALER DID NOT OFFER WARRANTY REPAIR. COST FOR REPLACEMENT WAS $724.00.
FIRST OCCASION IT HAPPENED, THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED TO THE RIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT DID NOT COME ON.. (30 MPH) SECOND OCCASION IT HAPPENED, THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED TO THE RIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. I WAS DRIVING ROUGHY 20 MPH. THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING 70 MPH AND ALMOST HIT THE GUY NEXT TO ME. THE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT DID NOT COME ON THE FOURTH TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING 40 MPH AND THE STEERING WHEEL LIGHT DID COME ON. I DID NOT HAVE POWER STEERING FOR ABOUT 30 MILES. THE FIFTH TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 80 MPH AND THE LIGHT DID NOT COME ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN, THE WHEELS LOCKED UP. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A CURB AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE WHEELS LOCKED UP DUE TO A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE PARTICULAR CODE THAT WAS NEEDED TO UNLOCK THE WHEELS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,207.
I WENT TO CRANK MY CAR, WHICH WAS PERFECTLY FINE YESFERDAY , AND IT WONT TURN OVER AND THERE ARE SEVERAL LIGHTS ON AND CLICKING AND BLINKING. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE BATTERY AND TRIED TO JUMP IT OFF AND NOTHING CHANGED. A SYMBOL THAT LOOKS LIKE A STEERING WHEEL AND EXCLAMATION POINT, LOW TIRE LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT, AND SKID CONTROL SYMBOLS WERE ALL ON.
STARTER MOTOR DOESN'T ENGAGE. THE MOTOR TURNS BUT DOESN'T MAKE ENGINE TURN OVER.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP TWICE AFTER A DASH LIGHT CAME ON. THIS ALMOST RESULTED IN A CRASH BOTH TIMES I WAS ABLE TO STOP. TO GET THE WHEEL TO UNLOCK I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF RESTART IT AND IT WOULD WORK PROPERLY AGAN. THIS IS A V6 ACCORD AND HAS APPROX 38000 MILES ON IT WELL MAINTAINED. PLEASE HELP THIS COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH IF LOCKS UP ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. NOTE THAT I WAS MAKING LEFT TURNS BOTH TIMES.
PUSH BUTTON START IS ACTING UP. AT TIMES WHEN YOU PUSH BUTTON TO START THE CAR IT ONLY CLICKS, AFTER A FEW TRIES THE CAR WILL START. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THIS. HONDA HAS ADMITTED TO AN ISSUE WITH THE V6 MODEL BUT NOT THE V4 MODEL THAT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE
MY 2013 ACCORD SPORT HAS BEEN INTERMITTENTLY STARTING FOR MONTHS WHEN STATIONARY. I CHANGED THE BATTERY TO A STRONGER CRANKING ONE AND IT DID NOT FIX IT ALTHOUGH NOW IT WILL START EVENTUALLY AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. I HAVE TESTED THE ALTERNATOR AND IT PASSED. NEXT IS THE STARTER BUT HONDA CHANGED ITS LOCATION AND PLACED IT UNDER THE MOTOR. I SUBMITTED LINKS FROM A HONDA FORUM TO THIS WEBSITE DOCUMENTING MANY OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WHETHER THEY DRIVE LX, EX, OR SPORT. CVT MANUAL IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER. I HAVE NOT REPLACED THE STARTER AND THINK IT SHOULD BE RECALLED IF THAT'S THE ISSUE. THERE ARE YOUTUBE VIDEOS ALSO POPPING UP WITH 2013 ACCORDS NOT STARTING.
The head restraints cause back pain and injury because they are so far forward. When we confronted Honda about these, they said they are required by you to make them miserable and uncomfortable. Are there any car manufacturers that have found a way around this regulation? Maybe cars manufactured before the regulation took effect? Can you reconsider that maybe this regulation is written to cause more injury than assistance and rescind it or revise it to allow manufacturers to fix YOUR problem?
IN ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO, WHEN SOMETIMES I TURN THE WHEELS I LOOSE THE POWER AND THE CAR RESTARTED. IT MAKING ME SCARY TO DRIVE THE CAR. I WENT TO THE HONDA DEALER IN COLLAGE PARK, MARYLAND WITH THE RECALL LETTER FOR THE EPS SYSTEM THAT I RECEIVED AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THE PROBLEM THAT I AM HAVING, BUT I DID NOT GET ANY HELP. THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS AN UPDATE ON MY SYSTEM LAST YEAR AND THAT THE PROBLEM IS NOT CAUSED BY THE EPS SYSTEM AND I HAVE TO PAY $130 FOR THE DIAGNOSE.
INTERMITTENTLY CAR STARTS WITH STARTER CLICK NOISE ALMOST EVERYDAY ON BOTH COLD AND HOT WEATHER. BATTERY REPLACED BUT PROBLEM STILL EXIST AND GETTING WORSE.
THERE WAS TOTAL POWER STEERING FAILURE WHILE DOING PARALLEL PARKING TWICE IN AN HOUR TODAY (5/30/2016). IT TOO MUCH EFFORT TO TURN EVEN A LITTLE. WE WERE LUCKY WE WERE NOT ON HIGHWAY OR STREET. RESTARTING THE CAR SEEMED TO RESOLVE FIRST FAILURE. SECOND FAILURE CORRECTED ITSELF UPON DRIVING COUPLE OF FEET. NOW, I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR TILL THIS PROBLEM IS FIXED AS IT MAY RESULT IN CRASH.
THIS ISSUE STARED LAST WEEK I DIDN'T THINK TOO MUCH ON THIS BUT AS THE DAYS GOES ON IT TAKE LONGER FOR ME TO START MY CAR AND ME DAY I HAVE TO STOP AT LEASE 2 TO 4 TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO START. AS I CONTINUE TO SEARCH ONLINE TO SEE WHAT WAS THE ISSUE I AM SEEING MORE AND MORE OF THIS PROBLEM OF WHAT I AM HAVING. MY CAR HAS BEEN PARKED AND THERE IS NO WIRES CONNECTED TO THE CAR TO DRAIN THE BATTERY, I HAVE CHANGE BOTH MY CAR BATTERY IN MY KEY BATTERY ALREADY. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING I'VE BEEN USING HONDA FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. WITH MY OTHER PASS HONDA I WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE KEY.

FUEL TANK LEAK NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 13V-297, MFR CAMPAIGN ID JA9 HONDA HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM 1/15/13 - 4/5/13. MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN 3/13 AND THEY CLAIM IT DOES NOT FALL IN THE RECALL. I HAVE THE 'CHECK FUEL CAP' WARNING AND THE "MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT' COMING ON WHICH ARE THE INDICATORS SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE SEAL. HONDA IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS MY VEHICLE FOR THIS RECALL.
IN ATTEMPTING PARALLEL PARKING PRACTICE WITH SON, EXPERIENCED TOTAL POWER STEERING FAILURE (MULTIPLE INSTANCES) WHEN WHEEL WAS FULLY TURNED. VEHICLE WAS EITHER STOPPED TO TURN WHEEL INTO PARKING SPOT, OR MOVING VERY SLOW (UNDER 2 MPH).
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IN PARK. VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY WILL NOT START. WHEN YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL YOU HEAR A "CLICK" AND THEN PUSH THE "START" IGNITION BUTTON, THE CAR DOES NOT CRANK, BUT THE ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE CAR CABIN COME ON. REPLACED BATTER AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. TAKES MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS BEFORE VEHICLE WILL FINALLY START. VEHICLE STARTED DOING THIS AT ABOUT THE 33 MONTH OF OWNERSHIP (I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW). VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 58,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT STARTED HAVING THIS PROBLEM. VEHICLE CONTINUES TO INTERMITTENTLY NOT START. HONDA DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIND ANY FAULTS OR CODES. DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO AND UN WILLING TO TROUBLESHOOT UNTIL THEY CAN DETECT A CODE/FAULT OR OBSERVE PROBLEM.
MY 2013 ACCORD IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PUSH START BUTTON. THREE SEPARATE TIMES IN ONE WEEK OUR CAR HAD TROUBLE STARTING. IT WOULD MAKE A SOUND OF HESITATION BEFORE STARTING FOR 3-5 SECONDS. WE HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED THIS PAST WINTER. WE TOOK THE CAR TO OUR LOCAL HONDA DEALER FOR A CHECK ON THE ELECTRICAL AND STARTING SYSTEMS. THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. WE MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE CAR TO NOT START IN ORDER FOR HONDA TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG.
THE STARTER IN THE CAR IS NOT STARTING UNTIL 3RD ATTEMPT TO START OR NOT STARTING AT ALL. WE HAVE HAD TO WAIT AND TRY AGAIN MINUTES LATER THEN ON THE THIRD ATTEMPT IT STARTS, THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE CONNECTIONS TO THE BATTERY ARE GOOD. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS NOW.

KEYLESS FOB HAS TWO TIMES OPENED ALL FOUR WINDOWS AND SUN ROOF WHILE IN MY PANTS POCKET A COUPLE OF INCHES. THE LAST TIME ON APRIL 11, 2016 IT RAINED TWO INCHES AND THE CAR WAS LEFT IN THE RAIN. THE FOLLOWING MORNING THE CAR WOULD NOT START . THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WERE FLICKERING LIKE CRAZY. YOU CAN NOT TELL THE SUN ROOF IS OPEN BECAUSE THE SLIDING COVER IS CLOSED. I THINK HONDA SHOULD REMOVE THIS FEATURE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO OPEN THE SUNROOF FROM PRESSING A BUTTON FROM YOUR FOB. THIS COST ME A LOT OF MONEY AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE SUN ROOF WAS LEFT OPEN.
MY FAMILY AND I WERE STRANDED DUE TO OUR 2013 HONDA ACCORD NOT STARTING. WE JUST CAME OUT OF THE MOVIES AND THE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN THE PARKING LOT. I TURNED THE KEY AND IT WOULD JUST CLICK. I HAD TO PAY FOR TOWING AND OVER $800 TO HAVE THE STARTER REPLACED AT THE HONDA DEALER. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE, BUT I CALLED ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY PRICE MATCHED THE STARTER. I DRIVE A LOT OF MILE TO WORK SO I HAVE OVER 60K MILES IN 2 YEARS. AFTER DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE. THE PROBLEM CAN BE SEEN ON FORUMS AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO AFFECTS NEW CARS, BASE MODELS, PUSH BUTTONS, V6'S ETC. I THINK THE STARTER SHOULD BE RECALLED BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE BEING FORCED TO REPLACE STARTERS THAT THE DEALER SEEMED TO KNOW WAS BAD.
