TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE BY PUSHING THE BUTTON, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (HONDA WORLD WESTMINSTER, 13600 BEACH BLVD, WESTMINSTER, CA 92683) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-999-1009 AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALLS FROM THE MANUFACTURER. CASE NUMBER: 06597757/66597757 WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
CAR IN THE MORNING HESITATES JUST PULLING OUT OF ITS PARKING SPACE. PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND IT WON'T MOVE. PUT IT IN DRIVE AND SAME ISSUE. IT SEEMS AS IF IT'S TRYING TO WARM UP MAYBE? WHEN IT DOES START MOVING, IT RUNS AT 5-10 MPH AT 3K RPMS. I LET IT ROLL SLOWLY AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT STARTS TO DRIVE NORMAL. GOING UPHILL, I EXPERIENCE A SIMILAR ISSUE WHERE THE CAR IS RUNNING AT VERY HIGH RPMS AT LOW SPEEDS. I GET THE EFFECT IN ECO AND IN S MODE. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER. CAR IS A 2013 HAS ABOUT 42K MILES AND STARTED TO EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE ABOUT 4-5K MILES AGO. I JUST ASSUMED IT WAS BECAUSE THE CAR WASN'T WARM ENOUGH OR BECAUSE ITS A 4 CYLINDER. LOOKING FURTHER INTO THIS NOTED THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH HONDA'S CVT.
VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY WONT START WHEN START BUTTON IS PUSHED.
WHEN STARTING THE CAR WITH THE PUSH BUTTON, ABOUT 50% OF THE TIME THE ENGINE DOES NOT START, THERE IS A NOISE LIKE STATIC. LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND IT APPEARS THAT MANY MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON THE 2013 ACCORD. 99.9% OF THE TIME THEY HAVE TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE STARTER AT $800. HONDA SHOULD STEP UP AND RESOLVE THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE THE CAR DOES NOT START. THIS REALLY IS A SAFETY ISSUE.

THE TRUNK HAS OPENED BY ITSELF SEVERAL TIMES. THE LAST TIME WAS DEC. 26. IT IS ONLY WHEN IT IS PARKED. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALER AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE LATCH, AND THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM.
WHEN I STOPPED FOR PAYING TOLL, CAR DISPLAYED ENGINE LIGHT AND STEERING SAFELY LIGHT WITH JERKING SOUND, NOT ACCELERATION AND STEERING G LOCKED FOR FEW SECONDS AND THEN RELEASED . I PULLED THE VEHICLE TO PARKING LOT AND STOPPED...I STARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER 3 MINUTES ... THERE IS A RATTLING NOISE IN THE ENGINE AND (FCW) WARNING CAME... SAYS FCW SYSTEM FAILED . I LEFT THE CAR AT PARKING LOT AND TOWING BACK TO DEALER TOMORROW... NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AS THE ACCELATION IS VERY ERRATIC AND CONSISTENT ...TRAVELING WITH MY KIDS AND SCARED OF LOSING CONTROL OF THE CAR... IT IS ON INTERSTATE 294 CLOSE O'HARE AIRPORT .. CHRISTMAS DAY AND ALL REPAIR SHOPS CLOSED
PUSH START DOESN'T START THE CAR, THERE IS ONLY 42,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAR A LITTLE OVER THREE YEARS. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT APPEARS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE.
2013 HONDA ACCORD WON'T START. LIGHTS, A/C, RADIO, WINDOWS WORK. THIS OCCURRED AFTER 50,000 MILES. I WOULD HAVE TO TURN STEERING COLUMN AT FIRST TO GET IT TO START. NOW IT DOESN'T START AT ALL! THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY
UNDER NORMAL USE, AT 77,185 MILES, PASSENGER REAR WHEEL BEARING FAILED. WAS DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP. A RUMBLING TYPE NOISE WAS NOTICED AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 40MPH LESS THAN 20 MILES PRIOR TO BRINGING IN TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR.
MY CARE IS CONSUMING OIL.
This is an issue of the car regularly pulling hard to the left without warning. My mechanic stated Honda ran out of a regular front-end part and began using an inferior part on some models over several model years. He also stated that neither attempted alignment or repairs other than a suitable replacement for the affected part(s) (currently does not exist) will remedy the issue. I now have a shoulder problem requiring surgery from almost constantly fighting to keep my car in the lane for so long now. The issue has been prevalent since approximately the date and mileage given in "Additional Details" below after becoming vehicle owner and remains ongoing.

MY CAR IS NOT STARTING. TURN THE KEY AND NOTHING. NO DRAGGING NOISE AND NO CLICKING. ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON. SEEMS TO BE SO COMMON AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP THEY TELL ME WHATS WRONG BEFORE EVEN EXAMINING THE CAR. THEY SAY ITS THE STARTER. HAVING IT EXAMINED BY THE 3RD AUTO MECHANIC TODAY. ONLY 39,000 MILES, SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES. FROM ALL THE RESEARCH I AM DOING, THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
TRAVELING ON FREEWAY AND A POWER STEERING INDICATOR LIGHT TURNED ON (SEE IMAGE). THE STEERING BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND THE CAR WAS SLIGHTLY SWAYING (SIMILAR TO DRIVING IN A HIGH WIND AREA, EXCEPT THERE WAS NO WIND). ONCE EXITING THE FREEWAY AND DECREASING THE SPEED THE STEERING BECAME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT. THE CAR EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE POWER STEERING FAILURE. ONCE SAFELY AT A GAS STATION THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF AND TURNED ON AGAIN. AT THIS POINT, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL. CAR WAS DRIVEN TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION AND SERVICING.
APPARENTLY, HONDA HAS BEEN USING WIRING HARNESSES THAT ARE COATED IN SOME SORT OF SOY BASED MATERIAL IN AN EFFORT TO GO GREEN. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS HAS RESULTED IN AN UNWANTED CONSEQUENCE OF RODENTS BEING ATTRACTED TO MY CAR. THEY ARE CONSTANTLY TRYING TO CHEW THROUGH THE WIRES AND THIS CAN RESULT IN A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR BILL FROM HONDA. THIS IS SOMETHING THEY DID TO THE VEHICLES THEY MANUFACTURER, AND THE FACT THAT THEY'RE MAKING US VEHICLE OWNERS PAY FOR THE REPAIR BILLS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME, BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO? I'VE READ ONLINE THIS IS NOT JUST AFFECTING VEHICLE OWNERS IN RURAL AREAS, BUT OWNERS WHO LIVE IN CITIES LIKE I DO. SO FAR, I'VE HAD TO USE SOME BITTER APPLE SPRAY THAT ONLY CAUSES THE RODENTS TO TRY NIBBLING ELSEWHERE IN THE ENGINE BAY. I DON'T HAVE ANY PICTURES, BUT I CAN TAKE SOME UPON REQUEST. I'D HATE TO BE DRIVING WHEN SOMETHING FAILS.
WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY ALL FOUR REPLACED WAS DEFECTIVE THE ALL HAS 72,000 MILE AND NOW THE ABS HAS WENT BAD AND THE TPS SYSTEM IS BAD . THE ALUMINUM RIMS FOR BREAKING DO TO SALT CORROSION TWO OF THE FOUR RIMS BROKE COST TO REPLACE EACH RIM 435 IF THE RIMS AREN'T APART OF SAFETY AND ABS AND TPS ISN'T A QUALITY COMPONENTS DIDN'T KNOW CAR IS SAFE ON THE ROAD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS EXTREMELY TIGHT AND HARD TO TURN LEFT AND RIGHT. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE WAS PROGRESSING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN A SERVICE CAMPAIGN TO UPDATE THE EPS SOFTWARE AND ADDRESS THE EPS TORQUE SENSOR BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE MANUFACTURER SOLUTION WOULD PROVIDE A REMEDY TO PREVENT THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
BATTERY TERMINAL CORROSION - THE FACTORY BATTERY HAD SEVERE CORROSION PROBLEMS AFTER 2 YRS (UNLIKE ANY OF MY OTHER 3 CARS). ON THE THIRD YEAR IT DIED AND WAS REPLACED WITH A AAA BATTERY. AFTER 6 MONTHS THIS BATTERY IS ALSO SHOWING CORROSION. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE AFTER DOING GOOGLE SEARCHES. WHAT'S WORSE IS THE POSITIVE BATTER CABLE IS NOT AN EASY NOR ECONOMICAL REPLACEMENT ONCE THE CORROSION FINDS ITS WAY INSIDE. I BELIEVE THE CORROSION IS HAPPENING BECAUSE OF THE 'SMART CHARGING SYSTEM' HONDA IS USING ON THIS VEHICLE. NEVER SEEN THIS PROBLEM IN MY 30+ YRS OF OWNING DOZENS OF CARS.
MY 2013 IS AT 38,000 MILES AND I SMELL FUEL WHEN THE VEHICLE IS BEING STARTED. I SHOW A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT WHEN I ENTER MY VIN# IT SAYS MY VEHICLE ISN'T IN THE RECALL. SOMETHING IS GOING ON AND I THINK IT NEEDS LOOKED INTO. WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 30 MILES AN HR. ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE LANES JUST BEFORE A TRAFFIC LIGHT SUDDENLY STEERING THE CAR BECAME DIFFICULT AND I NOTICED A WARNING LIGHT ON. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER STOP THE CAR THEN RESTART IT WITHOUT A STEERING PROBLEM. MENTIONING IT TO MY SON, HE RECALLED HAVING THE SAME TROUBLE WITH MY CAR 3 WEEKS AGO. *TR
THE TPMS LIGHT CAME ON A FEW HUNDRED MILES BEFORE A TIRE BLEW OUT. I CONSIDERED THE TEAR IN THE SIDE-WALL OF THE TIRE BEFORE THE BLOW TO BE THE LIKELY CAUSE OF THE TPMS LIGHT ON (LOSING PRESSURE). AFTER A BRAND NEW SET OF FOUR (4) TIRES, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I TRY TO RE-CALIBRATE THE TPMS, OR CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE MYSELF, OR TAKE THE CAR TO THE TIRE SHOP TO CHECK THE PRESSURES, THE LIGHT REMAINS ON NO MATTER WHAT. THIS IS AN ON0GOING ISSUE THAT CONTINUES DAILY, DESPITE DRIVING CONDITIONS.
DID MY ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AT HONDAS RECOMMENDED 15% OIL LIFE SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN AUGUST 2013 LAST YEAR JULY 2016 WENT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AFTER A FEW MONTHS I WAS DOWN TO ABOUT 30% OIL LIFE I WAS DRIVING HOME I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND I HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE MOTOR I STOPPED AND CHECKED OIL IT WAS VERY LOW HARDLY ANY ON DIP STICK I THOUGHT MAYBE WHEN I DID THE OIL CHANGE AT DEALER THEY DIDN'T PUT CORRECT AMOUNT OF OIL SO I THAN DID MY OWN OIL CHANGE TOPPED IT OFF RAN FOR ABOUT A MINUTE AND CHECKED OIL IT WAS FILLED I THAN DROVE IT AND AGAIN THE OIL WAS LOW BUT THIS TIME ONLY WITH 40% OIL LIFE LEFT I TOOK IT TO DEALER FEW WEEKS BACK THEY DID THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AM WAITING TO HIT A 1000 MILES TO TAKE IT BACK TO THEM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THAT CONTACT STRUCK A DEER. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY ON THE DRIVER SIDE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN HOME AND PARKED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 127,000.
OCT 11, 2016, I DROVE THE KIDS TO SCHOOL AND PARKED THE VEHICLE ON THE STREET. AFTER WALKED THEN CLASS, I RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE. THE CAR DID NOT START ON THE FIRST TRY, SECOND TRY, BUT IT STARTED ON THIRD TRY. SINCE PURCHASED, I REPLACED BATTERY TWICE DUE TO THE ABOVE REASONS. I HAD BATTERY CHECKED AND IT'S STILL GOOD. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
WHILE PARKING, BUT STOPPED, THE CAR SPED OUT OF CONTROL. FOOT BRAKE AND HAND BRAKE FAILED TO STOP THE SPEEDING CAR. IT LEAPED OVER A CURB AND INTO A RETENTION POND. THE DOORS REFUSED TO UNLOCK. DRIVER AND PASSENGER ESCAPED THRU WINDOWS AND ONTO THE ROOF. PREVIOUSLY, THE UNATTENDED CAR HAD LOCKED ITSELF AND WINDOWS AND SUNROOF HAD OPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE TWO FOBS WERE ON CUP HOOKS IN THE HOUSE. HONDA SHOWS NO INTEREST.
MY VEHICLE, A 2013 HONDA ACCORD EX-L V6, HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES WHERE A POWER STEERING LIGHT WOULD COME ON IN MY WARNING LIGHTS, AND THEN I WOULD LOSE THE ASSISTANCE OF ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING. MY COMMUTE IS A SHORT ONE IN THE SUBURBS OF CHICAGO. HOWEVER, IF I WERE ACTUALLY IN DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, OR ON A HIGHWAY, THE EPS FAILURE COULD BE FATAL. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS DRIVING ACROSS IRVING PARK ROAD, AND I PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE CAR. WHEN I CHECKED THE POWER STEERING FLUID RESERVOIR THE NEXT DAY, IT WAS LOW AND TOOK HALF A BOTTLE OF POWER STEERING FLUID TO FILL. THE PROBLEM RECENTLY RESURFACED TONIGHT WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM CLASS. EVEN AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, THE POWER STEERING NEVER CAME BACK.
"TAMAR A INFLATORS" MY CAR HAS A HUGE CLICK AFTER BACKING UP AFTER STOPPING AND PUTTING INTO GEAR SOUNDS LIKE THE LINKAGE HAS JUST BROKE. MAKES A BIG LOUD CLICK WHEN PUTTING INTO DRIVE. LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS ABOUT TO BREAK OFF. PLEASE HELP.
Since I bought this new accord, I replaced starter 3 times and I only have 73000 miles on it. The third time 4 lights came on. Honda company should recall these issues. No accidents
***HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AND TURNED OFF*** THIS CAR HAS A "FEATURE" THAT IS NOT DISCLOSED TO CUSTOMERS UPON PURCHASE WHICH CAN LEAD TO A DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR PROPERTY AND THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. IF THE KEY FOB IS PLACED IN A POCKET WITH KEYS (AS EVERYONE DOES), THERE IS A COMBINATION OF INADVERTENT BUTTON PRESSES (SPECIFICALLY UNLOCK / UNLOCK / UNLOCK) WHICH CAUSES ALL OF THE WINDOWS AND THE SUNROOF TO OPEN. THIS HAS LEAD TO MY CAR BEING SOAKED BY HAVING ALL THE WINDOWS OPEN DURING A RAINSTORM WHILE I WAS INSIDE MY OFFICE (WITH THE VEHICLE PARKED RIGHT OUTSIDE - THE KEY FOB WORKS FROM QUITE A FAR DISTANCE). IT HAS ALSO LEAD TO MY BELONGINGS BEING COMPROMISED DUE TO ALL OF THE WINDOWS OPENING WHEN I PARKED IN THE CITY AND WAS SITTING IN A BUILDING WITH THE KEYS IN MY POCKET, AMONG OTHER TIMES. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE SELLING DEALER I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE UNAWARE OF THIS FEATURE AND I SHOULD READ THE MANUAL. IT IS NOT DETAILED IN THE MANUAL AND THERE IS NO WAY TO DISABLE IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY PULLED TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT THE CONTACT TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE WALL ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THE LEG, ARM, AND HAND. THE PASSENGER RECEIVED INJURIES TO THEIR COLLAR BONE AND KNEE. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE EXAMINED FOR A POSSIBLE POWER STEERING FAILURE DUE TO AN EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS THAT STARTED AN INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE SAME FAILURE THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000. FOR THE PAST YEAR THE CAR HAS FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY. THE ONLY WAY I'VE FOUND TO GET IT STARTED IS TO USE AN EXTERNAL BATTERY JUMP. EVEN THEN THAT ALSO FAILS ABOUT A THIRD OF THE TIME, THOUGH WAITING SOME TIME ENABLES THE JUMP TO WORK. THE DEALER SAYS IT IS "PROBABLY" THE STARTER AND WANTS $1,000 TO FIX IT. THE PROBLEM BEGAN AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES AND THE STARTER SHOULD NOT FAIL AT THAT AGE.
THE STARTER ON THE 2013 HONDA ACCORD EX-L SEDAN BEGAN TO FAIL AT LESS THAN 50K MILES. IT BEGAN WITH THE SYMPTOMS OF NOT STARTING WITH THE FIRST PRESS ON THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION, WHICH I WAS TOLD BY HONDA MAY JUST BE A FAULT OF MY OWN FOR NOT OPERATING THE PUSH BUTTON SYSTEM CORRECTLY. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE INCORRECT AS ONCE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED THE CAR STARTED TO REQUIRE MORE AND MOST "PUSHES" TO START. EVENTUALLY I WAS LEFT STRANDED AND THE CAR WOULD ON START AT ALL IRRESPECTIVE OF THE NUMBER OF TIMES I TRIED. WHILE THIS WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE WHERE I WAS STRANDED, IN OTHER SITUATIONS THIS COULD HAVE EASILY RESULTED IN INJURY, OR IN THE WORST CASE, THE LOSS OF LIFE.
TWO WEEKS AGO, MY STEERING WHEEL PULLED LEFT QUICKLY AND THEN BACK. I THOUGHT I HIT A ROCK. IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS SAME ISSUE. YESTERDAY, PULLED OUT OF THE GARAGE AND THE STEERING WHEEL INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. READ THE BOOK. RESTARTED THE ENGINE. IT WENT AWAY. TODAY, AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 5 MINUTES INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. STEERING WHEEL FROZE. RESTARTED AND OK. DRIVING ON MAJOR HIGHWAY, INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL STEERING WAS FROZEN. I AM TRAVELING, THEREFORE HAD TO FIND THE CLOSEST HONDA DEALER. I AM NOW STRANDED FOR TWO DAYS AWAITING REPAIR. INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS WITH STARTING ENGINE. DASH LIGHTS COME ON, BUT STARTER DOES NOT ENGAGE. SO FAR, HAS STARTED AFTER SOMETIMES EXTENSIVE OPERATION OF THE SHIFT LEVER. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE PAST YEAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE PREVIOUSLY OCCURRED AFTER THE BATTERY WAS RECHARGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE DOME LIGHT. THE DOME LIGHT WAS REMOVED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

OVER TIME, DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SUN VISORS NO LONGER FOLD UP FLUSH WITH CEILING. THEY INSTEAD SAG; PARTIALLY BLOCKING DRIVER'S VIEW. THIS IS DUE TO A FAULTY HINGE SYSTEM THAT, WITH REPEATED USE, BECOMES DETACHED FROM THE VISOR.
THIS WEEK, WITH THE CAR AT 33,000 MILES ON IT, MY ACCORDS' EPS LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING ON AND OFF WHEN STARTING THE CAR. IF IT'S LIGHTED UP AND YOU TRY TO DRIVE, YOU HOW NO POWER STEERING. I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART. SOMETIMES IT TAKE UPMTOMFIVE TRY'S.
TWO WEEKS AGO MY ACCORD BEGAN HAVING ISSUES STARTING. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS THE ENGINE WOULD EVENTUALLY START AND I WOULD BE ON MY WAY. UNTIL LAST FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2016. I DROVE TO A FRIENDS HOUSE, PARKED, CAME BACK OUT TO START MY CAR AND WOULD HEAR A "POPPING" SOUND LIKE THE ENGINE WAS TRYING TO START UP, BUT TO NO AVAIL. FRIEND'S NEIGHBOR IS A RETIRED AUTO MECHANIC. HE LOOKED AT THE CAR AND FOUND THAT THE ISSUE WAS NOT THE BATTERY, AND DETERMINED IT WAS THE STARTER ITSELF. ALMOST MAGICALLY, THE CAR RANDOMLY DECIDED TO START AGAIN. DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO AN ADDITIONAL AUTO MECHANIC, HE TESTED THE VEHICLE (BATTERY, CABLE CONNECTIONS, WIRES THAT ATTACH TO STARTER) AND ALSO FOUND THAT THE ISSUE WAS THE STARTER. MY ACCORD HAS 66,000 MILES ON IT. THE TOTAL COST TO FIX THIS ISSUE WILL BE $680, KIND OF RIDICULOUS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE FROM WHAT I'VE READ. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.

MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD TOURING (29,262 MILES) WILL NOT CRANK NOR START. THERE HAS BEEN NO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS/WARNINGS, JUST WOULDN'T START ONE MORNING. IT'S PARKED IN MY GARAGE. I PUT A NEW BATTERY IN THE KEY FOB ALTHOUGH THE OTHER ONE WAS WORKING TO SEE IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. WHEN I PRESS IT THE CAR UNLOCKS AS NORMAL. THE INTERIOR & EXTERIOR LIGHTS COMES ON AND THE DIRECTIONS OF HOW TO START THE CAR STILL SHOW. THE CAR IS IN PARK, I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES & PRESS THE START/STOP BUTTON. THERE IS A SLIGHT BEEPING SOUND AND A FEW LIGHTS SHOWING IN THE DASH, BUT IT WON'T START. WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTON AGAIN THE ACCESSORY MODE COMES ON AS NORMAL. THE RADIO PLAYS, MY PHONE CONNECTS, THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WORKS, LIGHTS WORKS FINE, ETC. WHEN I PRESS IT ONCE TO TURN IT OFF, ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE DASH LIGHT UP, THE AC COMES ON, & ALL THE PRE-PROGRAMMED WARNING LIGHTS COME ON ONE BY ONE WITH A BEEP. FINALLY I PRESS IT ONE FINAL TIME TO TURN IT OFF. SO EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, IT JUST WON'T START. THIS LEADS ME TO CONCLUDE THAT THE STARTER HAS GONE OUT LIKE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS I'VE READ. I'M CURRENTLY WAITING FOR THE DEALER TO VERIFY THAT. AFTER ONLY 3 YEARS & 29,000 MILES, I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. AND I DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY $700-$800 WHICH IS ESTIMATED STARTER REPLACEMENT COST.
WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY ATLANTA INTERSTATE AT 55 MPH THE CAR BECAME HARD TO STEER ALL OF THE SUDDEN AND THE EPS LIGHT CAME-ON ON THE DASH BOARD. THEREFORE, I HAD TO MUSCLE THE CAR OVER INTO THE SHOULDER AND SHUT-OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT THEN THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND I WAS ABLE TO STEER IT PROPERLY. THIS HAS OCCURRED TWICE SO FAR.
TPMS LIGHT ILLUMINATES EVEN THOUGH ALL TIRES HAVE THE CORRECT PRESSURE. TWO VISITS TO THE DEALER HAVE NOT RESOVLED THE ISSUE.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING LIGHT AND VEHICLE STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON AND THE STEERING FELT VERY LOOSE. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND LIGHTS WENT AWAY. WENT TO THE STORE AND THE TWO LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED IT BACK OFF AND THE LIGHTS WENT AWAY AGAIN. I HAVE READ MANY PEOPLE HAVE LOST CONTROL WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT MAKES ME REALLY NERVOUS TO DRIVE THE CAR NOW.
AFTER ONLY 40,000 MILES, 2013 V6 ACCORD, CAR STARTER GIVING PROBLEM. CAR DIDN'T START AT ONE POINT AND AFTER MANY TRIALS, STARTED WITH JUMP START AFTER THAT, STARTED GIVING JERK LIKE ENGINE STALLS DURING DRIVING. SCARY AND DANGEROUS SITUATION.
THE STARTER IN MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD COUPE FAILED AFTER ONLY 3 YEARS AND 55,000 MILES. THE CAR WOULD NOT START WHEN I PRESSED THE PUSH TO START BUTTON AND WOULD FINALLY TURN ON AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS. THIS WENT ON FOR 3 WEEKS UNTIL THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER START.
I PARKED VEHICLE ON RESIDENTIAL CITY STREET. RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE 15 MINUTES LATER AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. MANY OF THE INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON. CALLED AAA, INITIAL TECHNICIAN RESPONDED AND COULD NOT START THE CAR BY JUMPING WITH BATTERY PACK. BATTERY TESTED OK. TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED, OPERATOR TRIED TO JUMP THE VEHICLE AGAIN WITH BATTERY PACK AND THE VEHICLE STARTED. TOW TRUCK OPERATOR SUGGESTED I TELL THE DEALERSHIP HE SUSPECTED THE STARTER OR THE WIRING TO THE STARTER WAS THE PROBLEM. A/C PRIOR TO THIS EVENT HAD BEEN WORKING NOW HAD NO POWER. DROVE THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY TO DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE WAS LEFT AND DIAGNOSED WITH FAULTY STARTER. FUSE WAS BLOWN TO A/C. (WE DID NOTE THAT THE CAR HAD BEEN HARDER TO START RECENTLY - HAVING TO TURN THE KEY MORE THAN 1 TIME TO GET THE CAR TO START. STILL THIS WAS HARDLY NOTICEABLE OR APPARENT THAT A PROBLEM WAS DEVELOPING.) STARTER AND FUSE TO BE REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP WILL BE PICKING UP CAR HOPEFULLY TODAY. THIS WAS NOT MERELY INCONVENIENT AND UNPLEASANT BUT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS EMERGENCY FOR PERSONS WITH HEALTH/MEDICAL ISSUES - IT WAS VERY HOT OUT WITH POOR AIR QUALITY AND PASSENGER AND MYSELF WERE STRANDED AND WITHOUT A/C FOR 4 HOURS. CONCERNED ABOUT THIS HAPPENING AGAIN AND WHY THIS HAPPENED. VEHICLE IS MAINTAINED, 3YRS OLD WITH APPROX. 35,000. I AM SEEING NUMEROUS SIMILAR/IDENTICAL REPORTS FROM OTHER OWNERS.
