GEAR SHIFT BUTTON SHATTERED INTO SMALL PLASTIC PIECES, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIFT GEARS. THE PROBLEM STARTED WHILE PARKED WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING 30 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SHUDDER WITH SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENDRICK HONDA POMPANO BEACH LOCATED AT 5381 N FEDERAL HWY, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33064, (954) 543-6849, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,954.
RECENTLY REPLACED BATTERY IN SUMMER OF 2020. GAVE THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION A JUMP AND UPON STARTING, SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED THAT HAVE TO DO WITH SOME OF THE SMART VEHICLE CONTROL. ONCE BATTERY WAS INSTALLED LIGHTS WENT AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS. BUT AFTER A FEW DAYS, THE WARNING LIGHTS HAVE CONTINUOUSLY APPEARED ON THE DASH IMMEDIATELY UPON STARTING. THESE LIGHTS HAVE TO DO WITH CRUISE CONTROL, HILL START ASSIST, TRACTION CONTROL, AND ALL WHEEL DRIVE. WHILE AT FIRST, IT WAS THOUGHT THE LIGHTS WERE GIVING A FALSE POSITIVE, BUT NOW, IT IS CONFIRMED THAT THE SAFETY FEATURES THAT THE LIGHTS ARE INDICATING ARE NOT WORKING POSING NUMEROUS SAFETY CONCERNS. HONDA CORPORATION AND HONDA DEALERSHIP HAVE NOT DEALT WITH OR PROPOSED ANY SOLUTIONS ON THE MATTER. LIVING IN A WINTER CLIMATE, ALL WHEEL DRIVE IS VITAL AND AFTER A RECENT SNOW EVENT, THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE IS NOT FUNCTIONING AT ALL POSING GREAT SAFETY CONCERN. THE LIGHTS ARE ON AT ALL TIMES AS LONG AS THE IGNITION IS ON, REGARDLESS OF STOPPED OR ACTIVELY MOVING.
I I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE STREET AND WENT TO SHIFT FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE TO BACK INTO A DRIVEWAY AND REALIZED MY "SHIFT BUTTON" THAT YOU DEPRESS TO CHANGES GEARS WAS NO LONGER THERE ATTACHED AND HAD FALLEN DOWN AND LANDED ON MY CONSOLE. IT BROKE OFF WHILE IN DRIVE WITHOUT NOTICE AND FELL AWAY. I HAD TO MANEUVER IT BACK IN PLACE SO I COULD SHIFT TO REVERSE AND MOVE CAR OFF THE ROADWAY.
THIS VEHICLE STILL HAVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM, THE BRAKE LIGHT, TPSM LIGHT AND OTHER LIGHT WILL SUDDENLY ON DISH, THAN THE LIGHT SUDDENLY OFF. SOMETIMES CAR CAN'T START, A LOT OF TIME, WHEN I START THE CAR PUT ON R, THE CAR DOESN'T MOVE BACK, IT MOVES FORWARDS. ALMOST HIT OTHER CAR .WHEN I DRIVE CAR SPEED IS 25MILE,SAW THE STOP SIGN, WANT TO STOP,BUT THERE WAS NO TURNING BACK ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAT CANT STOP.THE BRAKE LIGHT SUDDENLY ON DASH, ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM LIGHT ON DASH,TOO. CANT MOVE THE CAR, THERE IS NO WAY TO USE TOWED MOVE CAR,.I USED TOWED 3 TIMES GET CAR TO DEALER.WHEN I GOT THIS CAR, THE A/C NEVER WORKED,.2 CAR KEYS HAVE BEEN CHANGED BATTERY 3 TIMES TOTAL USING 6 BATTERIES.ONLY 16800MILES,I DONT THINK TS NORMAL.MY FIRST DEALER- PARAGON HONDA. WHEN THE REPAIRS DOWN, PICK UP CAR ON7/3/20 ,THE DEALER REFUSED TO WRITE MY CORRECT LICENSE PLATE NO AND DEL DATE ON MY REPAIR REC,REFUSED TO PROVIDE RENT CAR TO ME. ; BUT STILL HAVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM.. SUDDENLY LOSS REAR -CAMERA CARPLAY, BLUETOOTH HANDS FREELLINK, CANT OPEN THE TURN DOOR, ONCE, THE RKEY IN THE CAR, I JUST OUT OF DRIVERS DOOR, TRY OPEN THE TURN DOOR, SUDDENLY ALL DOORS OF THIS CAR WERE LOOKED, THE CAR DIDNT START. MY BAG, MY WALLET AND HOUSE KEYS CALL PHONE AND MONEY EVERYTHING WAS LOCKED IN THE CAR. ON 09/01/2020 MY HAND HOLD THE KEY ,TRY START THE CAR ,CANT START CAR.USED TOW TOWED TO SHOP. I WAS DRIVING WITH THE TOURING SYSTEM ON THAT KEEPS THE VEHICLE BETWEEN LINES, WHEN SUDDENLY STARTED RAINING AND THE CAR DID A COMPLETE TURN OF THE WHEEL MAKING THE CAR GO CRAZY AND SPINNING ABOUT 3 TIMES WHILE IN THE HIGHWAY
While driving in a 4 lane road up a slight grade my CRV abruptly stopped using automatic emergency braking in front of a metal plate laying in the road the was covering up some construction. I started driving again and the car again stopped abruptly several feet later at another metal plate.
LEAKY COMPRESSOR AND DISCHARGE HOSE WITHIN 4 YEARS, SUGGESTING DEFECTIVE DESIGN/MANUFACTURING, POSSIBLY DUE TO TRANSITION TO 1234YF REFRIGERANT. THIS REFRIGERANT BEING FLAMMABLE AND MORE HAZARDOUS & FLAMMABLE THAN THE PREVIOUS R-134A REFRIGERANT, THIS LEAKAGE REPRESENTS A POSSIBLE SAFETY HAZARD (NOT JUST COMFORT) IS WORTH NOTING THAT THIS ISSUE APPEARED SO WIDESPREAD, THAT ONE DEALER SUGGESTED A 3 WEEK MINIMUM WAIT FOR THE PARTS. HONDA HAS ALREADY ISSUED AN A/C EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR A SIMILAR VEHICLE (HONDA CIVIC)
I am unable to seaat five people because the rear seat belt does not fasten. I thought this was a 5 seater car, but it seems to be a four seater. Visitors aattempted to sit in the rear but found the seat belts were not functioning.
PARASITIC POWER DRAW ON SYSTEM RESULTING IN DEAD BATTERY IF NOT DRIVEN EVERY OTHER DAY. HONDA IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER PARAGON HONDA LOCATED AT 57-02 NORTHERN BLVD, WOODSIDE, NY 11377, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT AN UNKNOWN SOFTWARE UPDATE NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,960
I OWN A 2017 HONDA CRV EXL MODEL. RECENTLY, THE SENSING DEVICE IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR (BELOW THE HONDA LOGO) GOT STOLEN FROM MY CAR. THIS SAFETY SENSOR ASSISTS THE DRIVER WITH FEATURES SUCH AS LANE KEEPING ASSISTANCE, LAND DEPARTURE WARNING, AUTOMATIC CRUISE CONTROL, ETC. I KNOW AT LEAST 5 MORE OWNERS FROM MY APARTMENT COMMUNITY WHOSE CAR'S SENSOR WAS STOLEN. ALL OF US HAVE FILED A POLICE COMPLAIN FOR THEFT. THE PROBLEM WHY I AM ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE IS THAT THE SENSOR CAN BE SO EASILY STOLEN THAT EVEN IF I GET IT FIXED, THERE IS A HIGH PROBABILITY THAT THE SENSOR CAN GET STOLEN AGAIN. ONE DOES NOT NEED ANY TOOL IS STEAL THE SENSOR. ANYONE CAN OPEN THAT PANEL IN A MINUTE AND WALK AWAY WITH AN IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURE. IT'S THAT EASY. NONE OF US HEARD ANY ANTI THEFT ALARM BUZZING WHEN THE SENSOR WAS STOLEN. THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW AND HONDA SHOULD TAKE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS DEBACLE AND THAT A PERMANENT SOLUTION SHOULD BE WORKED OUT BY HONDA SO THAT THE OWNERS DO NOT FACE THE ISSUE IN THE FUTURE. *TR
HONDA CRV 2017 SENSORS HAS BEEN STOLEN, WHICH RESULTED IN WARNINGS ON SCREEN TO LIGHT UP. TO MY SURPRISE, ANY ONE CAN EASILY TAKE THE SENSORS WITHOUT ANY TOOL KIT WITHIN SECONDS. MY MAJOR CONCERN IS EVEN IF I GET SENSORS REPLACED, THE SAME INCIDENT CAN HAPPEN EVEN IN NEAR FUTURE, NO OTHER BRANDS IN THIS SEGMENT HAS PUT SENSORS SO CONVENIENTLY TO GET STOLEN. My 2017 C R V Honda has twice experienced sudden and unexpected braking. The first time it braked very hard and displayed warning lights at the same time. The car was clean and no obstructions were present. My speed was approximately 40 mph. There was no traffic in front or behind me. The second time there was no traffic and the car didn’t brake as hard. There was a warning light at the same time as the braking occurred. Lately I’ve also had problems with the ADAS system. Several times it has disabled itself and displayed multiple warning messages. I’ve brought these problems to the Honda dealership attention with no satisfaction and only getting generic answers.
HIGH PRESSURE A/C LINE LEAK DIAGNOSED ON 10 JUNE 2020. NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR AND A/C SYSTEM IS INOP. NO A/C AND NO LOANER CAR ON HONDACARE EXTENDED WARRANTY. NO COOLING CAPABILITY IN THE SUMMER AND NO DEFOGGING CAPABILITY IN THE RAIN. NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR REPAIR. FAILURE HAPPENED WHILE CAR WAS PARKED WITH NO WARNING OR INDICATION LIGHTS. WARNING LIGHTS ARE ON ALMOST ALWAYS. CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK 90% OF THE TIME. I TRAVEL A LOT SO THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE FOR ME.
Air conditioning system broke just over 3 years after purchase. Just outside dealer warranty period. I believe it is the AC compressor. From what I'm reading online, this is a very common issue for the CRV models in the years 2017-2020 and should be subject to a recall. No warning signs before it went down.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ALL OF A SUDDEN THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN STARTED BEEPING AND CHANGING SCREENS, BRIGHTNESS DISPLAY KEPT COMING ON AND OFF WHILE THE DISPLAY UNIT IS BLINKING . IT CONTINUED TO CHANGE SCREENS FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN WENT BLACK. NOTHING. FINALLY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF HIGHWAY AND TURNED CAR OFF. WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TURNED CAR BACK ON AND THE SYSTEM WORKED FINE....FOR NOW. IN LOOKING IN WEB NOTICED THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT (LEMBERG LAW) REGARDING THIS SIMILAR ISSUE, ALONG WITH OTHERS OWNERS HAVING SAME ISSUE WITH NO PERMANENT FIX FROM HONDA.
THREE ISSUES - 1 - THE KNOB ON MY SHIFT BROKE AND POPPED OFF. THE PLASTIC BROKE, AND RENDERED THE BUTTON USELESS. 2 - THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. DOES NOT SEEM TO BE IMPACTED BY WEIGHT, BUT THE LIGHT COMES ON SOMETIMES OTHER TIMES IT DOES NOT. 3 - THE SIDE PANEL OF THE SEAT THAT HOLDS THE ELECTRONICS FOR THE SEAT POPPED OFF AND DOES NOT GO BACK ON. ANOTHER JUNK PIECE OF PLASTIC. THIS HAS CAUSED THE SEAT TO ADJUST UNEXPECTEDLY.
THE TOUCH SCREEN RADIO WILL GO DARK SOMETIMES, BUT ALSO IT WILL SHOW THE BRIGHTNESS DISPLAY AND TURN THE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS ALL THE WAY UP AT NIGHT WHILE I'M DRIVING. IT REALLY BOTHERS ME AND IS DANGEROUS, I HAVE TO PULL OVER FROM DRIVING AND TURN IT BACK DOWN, AND SOMETIMES THE TOUCH SCREEN WONT WORK! THE VOLUME TURNS UP ON IT'S OWN, THE WHOLE TOUCH SCREEN RADIO IS REALLY MESSED UP. I JUST SIGNED FOR THIS CAR AND IT ONLY HAS 36,000 MILES ON IT! I'VE READ MANY OF OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS TOO, IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED!
The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic on multiple occasions and the contact was informed that the failure was electrical. The computer was reset however, the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to a dealer where she was informed that the fuel injector needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V442000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
THE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR FOR THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SIDE DOESN'T ALWAYS RELEASE TO EXTEND. *TR
The car frequently gives a “brake now” warning without anything being in front of the car. On occasion, it will automatically engage the brakes as well.
BATTERY KEEPS DYING AFTER 2 DAYS OF NON OPERATIONAL.THIS HAS HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES AND NO FIX FROM DEALER. *TR
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
CAR BATTERY WILL DIE IF THE CAR IS NOT USED FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE DAYS. WE HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET CHECKED MANY TIMES ONLY TO BE TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES AS WELL ONLY FOR THE CAR TO DIE A FEW DAYS LATER. WE PURCHASED THE CAR BRAND NEW IN MARCH 2017. AS OF MAY 13, I HAVE HAD TO RETURN MY LEASED 2017 CR-V TO THE DEALERSHIP FOUR (4) TIMES FOR THE SAME REASON - THE BATTERY WOULD NOT WORK , HENCE THE ENGINE DID NOT START. THESE BREAKDOWNS OCCURRED AT : 9573 MILES, 9993 MILES, 17315 MILES AND MOST RECENTLY 21,703 MILES. EACH EVENT OCCURRED WHILE THE AUTO WAS TURNED OFF. THIS HAS COST UNDUE HARDSHIP. WITH THE MOST RECENT EVENT, I WAS VERBALLY TOLD THE PROBLEM IS MY FAULT - SINCE I DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE ENOUGH !!! I SHOULD INVEST IN SOMETHING CALLED A " TRICKLE CHARGER " AND PLUG THE VEHICLE IN DURING THE EVENING HOURS !!! QUITE INCREDIBLE! I MORE THEN ONCE LOUDLY VOICED MY CONCERNS. THE BASIC ATTITUDE HAS BEEN " YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN BUDDY "!!! HOPEFULLY, THE DEALERSHIP WILL BE CAUTIONED TO AVOID FALSEHOODS AND TO LEVEL WITH ITS CUSTOMER. MY WIFE AND I ARE BOTH SENIOR CITIZENS . THE MAIN SCREEN INSIDE THE CAB STARTED BEEPING, THEN THE SCREEN WENT DARK AND THEN TO FULL BRIGHTNESS AND STARTED SCROLLING THROUGH THE MENU OPTIONS WITHOUT ME TOUCHING THE SCREEN. THIS WAS A BAD DISTRACTION WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE SCREEN CONTROLS EVERYTHING AND WHEN IT DID THIS I HAD NO CONTROL AND LOST EVERYTHING. IT CONTINUED DOING THIS FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.
GAS TANK FILLER HAS A METAL DOOR APPROX 3 INCHES DOWN FILLER TUBE THAT ISN?T SEALING, GARAGE SMELLS OF STRONG GAS SMELL. VEHICLE IS UNDER WARRANTY BUT DEAL REFUSES TO FIX. DEALER CLAIMS CUSTOMER MUST HAVE DRIVEN OFF WITH GAS HOSE STILL IN TANK. THIS IS NOT TRUE, BEEN DIFFICULT TO GET GAS INTO VEHICLE ALMOST SINCE IT WAS NEW, VEHICLE ONLY HAS 8,000 MILES. COMPLAINED TO DEALER, COMPLAINED TO MANUFACTURE, NOBODY CARES. SUSPECT FIRE DANGER. *TR

2017 HONDA CRV PARKED IN GARAGE, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START ENGINE DASH LIGHTS UP WARNINGS ON BRAKING SYSTEM, CRUISE CONTROL, LANE ASSIST, BATTERY AND MANY OTHER AREAS. CAR WOULD NOT START AND GOES DEAD WITH 3RD ATTEMPT TO START. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME I MUST HAVE CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP; CAR HAS 4,000 MILES. DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THEY CANNOT RECREATE THIS INTERMITTENT CRITICAL FAILURE AND I SHOULD BUY A NEW CAR. THIS CAR IS UNRELIABLE AND A HAZARD. EVEN THOUGH I PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WHEN I BOUGHT IT NEW, FOR EXTRA EXTENDED WARRANTY, REPAIR & MAINTENANCE PLANS, DEALERSHIP TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR.
WE HAVE A 2017 HONDA CR-V. ON APRIL 29, 2020, I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A CITY STREET GOING ABOUT 20-25 MILES PER HOUR. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES OR ANY OTHER OBSTACLE IN FRONT OF MY CAR. WITHOUT WARNING, AND ON ITS OWN, THE CAR'S ORANGE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO A HARD STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE ITEMS ON THE BACK SEAT WERE THROWN TO THE FLOOR AND WE WERE THROWN FORWARD IN OUR SEATS IN THE FRONT ENOUGH THAT THE SEAT BELTS ENGAGED. THIS WAS INSTANT AND THEN IMMEDIATELY THE CAR RESUMED TO NORMAL OPERATION. WE NOTIFIED THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT THEY HAD NOT HEAD OF THIS HAPPENING BEFORE AND THAT HONDA DID NOT HAVE ANY RECALL FOR THIS YET. THIS WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE - FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS BEHIND US, BUT SUPPOSE THERE HAD BEEN OR WE HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MORE TRAFFIC AND LARGE TRUCKS.
WE WERE TRAVELING DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, TUESDAY, 4/28/2020, . OUR SPEED WAS 35 MPH. OUR HONDA CRV SUDDENLY CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP, THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON IN THE DASH AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO TRAFFIC OR OBSTACLES OF ANY TYPE IN OUR PATH TO CAUSE THIS. THERE IS SOME TYPE OF FAULTY SENSOR CAUSING THIS AND IT NEEDS TO REPAIRED/REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP DENIES THAT A PROBLEM EXISTS. IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH CRV'S, 2017 & 2018 MODELS..
BATTERY KEEPS DYING AFTER SITTING MORE THAN A SEVERAL DAYS. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME SINCE OWNING THE CAR; THE LAST TWO TIMES HAPPENED WITHIN A MONTH APART. HAD TO CALL AAA TO JUMP CAR EACH TIME.THE SECOND TIME WAS ON 23 MARCH 2020. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START CAR ON 24 APRIL, 2020, THE BATTERY APPEARED DRAINED AGAIN. NOTED THE MESSAGE ON DASH "BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM". MY CAR IS PARKED IN A GARAGE AND HAS SAT FOR LONG PERIODS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC QUARANTINE. ANOTHER ERROR MESSAGE INDICATED LOW TIRE PRESSURE. THE CAR RECEIVED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IN FEBRUARY/IMARCH 2020. I DECIDED TO CALL DEALER TO HAVE CAR PICKED UP AND REPAIRED. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS NOT A REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM. MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 13,000 AND WAS PURCHASED NEW.
I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER TO CHANGE FROM PARK TO DRIVE. THI INITIALLY HAPPENED IN A DRIVEWAY WHERE I WAS PARKED. SMALL PIECES OF PLASTIC WERE FALLING OUT. I HAD TO USE A PEN TO ENGAGE THE SHIFTER AND THEN IT WOULD MOVE. AS I PULLED INTO MY STREET I HAD MAJOR DIFFICULTY USING REVERSE EVEN WITH THE PEN. I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR OFF OR LOCK THE DOORS UNTIL I DUG ALL THE PLASTIC OUT OF THE SHIFT DEVICE. I READ ALL DEALERS DIDN'T FIX FOR FREE SO WE ORDERED THE PART AND FIXED OURSELVES

COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM - WHILE DRIVING AT 33 MPH ON A RURAL ROAD, THE BRAKES AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED DESPITE THE FACT THERE WAS NO CAR OR OTHER OBSTRUCTION AHEAD.
LIFT-GATE LATCH (WHICH IS MANUAL, NOT ELECTRIC) WILL NOT OPEN OR STICKS REQUIRING MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO OPEN. DEALER HAS ADVISED THAT THE LATCH IS DEFECTIVE. DEFECTIVE LATCH ONLY OBSERVED WHILE VEHICLE STATIONARY. WHEN DRIVING OVER SPEED BUMPS AT SLOW SPEEDS, THERE IS A CREAKING SOUND THAT COMES FROM THE LIFT-GATE LATCH. *TR
I HAVE GAS MIXING WITH THE OIL. I TOOK IT TO HONDA AND THEY REALLY RECOMMENDED A EARLY OIL CHANGE. TWO WEEKS LATER I HAVE MORE GAS IN THE OIL. I NEVER DRIVE THE CAR LESS THAN 20 MILES AT A TIME. THE OIL IS ABOVE THE PLASTIC ON THE DIPSTICK AND ONTO THE METAL PORTION. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 20,000 MILES ON IT. HONDA'S TOLD ME THEY WOULD GIVE ME THE EXTENDED WARRANTY SIX YEARS UNLIMITED MILEAGE. I WANT THE PROBLEM FIXED BEFORE IT RUINS MY ENGINE. IF THERE'S TOO MUCH OIL IN THE ENGINE THIS COULD TRIGGER A ENGINE SHUTDOWN. THAT COULD BE A HAZARDOUS CONDITION. IF THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC THIS COULD BECOME A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION.
Two times in the last four years, Honda CRV braked for no apparent reason. Speed was around 35 mph. Heard NHSTA was studying this.
I HAVE A CONCERN ABOUT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IN MY CAR WHEN IN MOTION. WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN FOR SERVICE AT MY HONDA DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK BUT THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. ALSO ON 3/9/2020 THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE BATTERY(LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD) WAS DEAD AND WAS REPLACED BECAUSE THE CAR WAS STILL IN WARRANTY. THEN ON 6/13/2020 THE SECOND BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD WITH ONLY 663 MILES.I THINK THE SITUATION SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND REMEDIED DUE TO CONCERN ABOUT SAFETY. FUEL IS GETTING INTO THE OIL SUMP CAUSING OIL DILUTION. THE CRV 1.5-LITER TURBO ENGINE HAS PROBLEMS. THIS IS DUE TO GASOLINE SEEPING INTO THE ENGINE OIL. I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THE DURABILITY OF THE 1.5-LITER TURBO ENGINE AND ABOUT MY VEHICLE POTENTIALLY STALLING, ESPECIALLY IN COLD WEATHER HERE IN ILLINOIS. A SAFETY ISSUE. HONDA SAYS THAT I NEED TO DRIVE IT MORE TO ALLOW ENGINE HEAT TO DISSIPATE THE FUEL. TRUE I DON'T PUT A LOT OF MILES ON MY CAR, BUT HOW OFTEN I DRIVE MY CAR SHOULD NOT BE FACTORED IN WHEN DESIGNING A SAFE AND RELIABLE CAR. FUEL DILUTED OIL WILL NOT PROPERLY LUBRICATE CRITICAL ENGINE PARTS. WHEN I HECK MY OIL, THE LEVEL RISES ON MY DIPSTICK. THERE IS ALSO A SMELL OF GASOLINE ON THE DIPSTICK. I HAVE TO KEEP GETTING OIL CHANGES TO FIX THAT. THIS HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY OCCURRING.SINCE I BOUGHT THE CRV (BOUGHT IN MARCH 2020).
THE GEAR SHIFT KNOB POPPED OUT WHILE IT WAS IN PARK. THERE WAS ONE SPRING THAT POPPED OUT WITH IT, AND THE GEAR SHIFT SEEMS TO STAY IN GEAR, BUT I PUT THE CAR'S EMERGENCY BRAKE ON JUST TO BE SAFE. I HAVE TO PUSH THE GEAR SHIFT KNOB AND HOLD IT IN ORDER TO CHANGE GEARS.

I DID NOT HAVE IT SERVICE RECENTLY OR FILLED GAS. A CAR WITH 43K MILES HAS EMISSION ISSUES JUST SEEMS POOR DESIGN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.

THE DEALER FOUND THE ENGINE OIL TO BE SATURATED WITH GASOLINE WHICH ACCORDING TO THEM CAUSED FAULTS IN THE OTHER SYSTEMS.
