THE BUTTON ON OUR SHIFTER STUCK INSIDE THE SHIFTER ITSELF AND WE WERE UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR COMPLETELY OFF...RAN THE BATTERY DOWN AND NEEDED TO JUMP START THE CAR. HAD TO USE A SCREWDRIVER TO GET THE BUTTON OUT AGAIN. CHECKED TO SEE IF MY CAR WAS IN A RECALL AND NOTHING WAS SHOWING. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? MANY OTHER HONDA CRV OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS EXACT PROBLEM. IT'S NOT SAFE
THE PUSH BUTTON ON THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER BROKE OFF AND COULD NOT SHIFT THE CAR OUT OF DRIVE IN A SAFE MANNER. HAD TO PUT PARKING BRAKE ON (WAS ON AN INCLINE)AND SHUT OFF CAR AND LOOK FOR THE BUTTON. WAS ABLE FIND IT AND INSERT IT TEMPORARILY TO GET HOME.
I WAS IN A REAR END COLLISION. THE DRIVER SEAT DID NOT STAY UPRIGHT. UPON IMPACT IT RECLINED. MY CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN IT WAS HIT, APPROX 20 MPH. THIS PROBABLY CAUSED MY INJURIES TO BE WORSE THAN IF THE SEAT HAD MAINTAINED IT'S UPRIGHT POSITION.
VEHICLE BATTERY WILL DIE AFTER TWO DAYS OF NON STARTING. THIS HAPPENS CONSTANTLY.
All the warning lights come on while driving. I have to disconnect the battery to reset it. I get the brake warning signal when no other vehicles are around. At times my vehicle will slow down with no other vehicles close to me. This issue could cause an accident if someone is around. I had to turn the walk away feature off due to the alarm continuously sounding. My vehicle was inspected by a dealer for the issue with the alarm sounding. They weren’t able to give a definite cause and suggested I turn the walk away feature off. The other issues have been occurring since February of 2020 and have not been inspected. My vehicle is available for inspection. All of these issues occur at different times. The warning lights started coming back on October 15, 2021.
I HAVE A 2017 HONDA CRV. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAD THE SAME ISSUE. ALL MY WARNING LIGHT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM, CHARGING SYSTEM PROBLEM, ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM, ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM, BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM PROBLEM, POWER STEERING SYSTEM (EPS) PROBLEM, VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST (VSA) PROBLEM, HILL START ASSIST PROBLEM. ARE BACK ON. WHEN THIS HAPPENS FOR THE FIRST TIME DEALERSHIP TOLE ME THEIR WAS AN UPDATE TO THE SYSTEM WHICH WILL FIX THE ISSUE. MONTH LATER I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
26,000 MILES HAD THE NEW CAR TOWED AND DETERMINED BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY CAUSED SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS AND DISABLED THE VEHICLE. 1 YEAR LATER AT 46,000 HAD THE CAR TOWED DETERMINED TO BE FUEL INJECTOR AND PIPE SET OFF CODES AND VEHICLE WAS DISABLED. BOTH TIMES, I HAD THE VEHICLE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, WAS ABLE TO START IT, BUT COULD NOT MOVE IT DUE TO MULTIPLE FAILURES. EVERY OIL CHANGE I ASK IF THERE ARE ANY VEHICLE RECALLS AND THEY ALWAYS LOOK UP THE VIN AND DETERMINE MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE IS NOT ON THE LIST. APPARENTLY IS SHOULD BE.
WHEN I PULLED OVER MY CAR IN THE PARKING LOT, PUT THE SHIFT STICK TO P THEM TRY TO ENGAGE THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE. THE DASHBOARD SHOWED 'ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM' AND THE PARKING WASN'T ENGAGED AND 'BRAKE' RED LIGHT FLASHING ON DASHBOARD. AND ALL OTHER SYSTEMS LIKE ADAPTATIVE CRUISE CONTROL', 'LANE CONTROL', ETC WERE REPORTING MALFUNCTION.
WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY WITH NO TRAFFIC OR OBSTACLES IN FRONT, ALL HONDA SENSING SUITE FEATURES RANDOMLY FAIL AND TRIGGER A SERIES OF WARNING MESSAGES FLASHING SEQUENTIALLY ON THE HUD INDICATING A PROBLEM WITH THE FOLLOWING: LKAS, COLLISION MITIGATION, BRAKING, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, AND ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEMS. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES STIFF AND BRAKES FEEL UNRESPONSIVE BUT SOMETIMES ENGAGE TO STOP THE CAR EVEN IF STOPPING IS UNSAFE, SUCH AS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY WITH NO CARS IN FRONT. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY IN DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. RAIN, SUN, HILLS, TRAFFIC, NO TRAFFIC, BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE SENSORS TRIGGER A FALSE POSITIVE THINKING THERE IS AN IMMINENT COLLISION EVEN IF DRIVING 35 MPH ON AN EMPTY ROAD. IT ALSO TRIGGERS WHEN FOLLOWING A CAR WITH WARNING TONES AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING. THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS REBOOTING ITSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF A FALSE BUT SELF-INDUCED CRISIS. I HAVE NARROWLY AVOIDED COLLISIONS BECAUSE THE CAR TOOK OVER CONTROL WHEN NOT NEEDED, ONLY TO TURN OFF ALL SAFETY FEATURES AND WARN THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT CLAIMED IT WAS A LOW BATTERY, BUT REPLACING WITH A NEW BATTERY DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUES. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THEN TRIED TO CLAIM DRIVER ERROR AFTER DELETING TROUBLE CODES, WITH NO EXPLANATION HOW "DRIVER ERROR" CAN CAUSE THE SAME ERROR MESSAGES TO DISPLAY ON THE HUD AS ALL OF THE PLAINTIFFS OF A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT SAY THE SAME THING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS WIFE WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, SHE WAS ALERTED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE AT THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, HIS WIFE STATED THAT THE PARKING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER EXITED THE VEHICLE AND THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE CALLED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. FIRE AND POLICE REPORTS WERE FILED. THERE WAS NO INJURY REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MOTORCARS HONDA DEALER, LOCATED AT 2953 MAYFIELD RD, CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH 44118, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE WAS ALREADY TOWED TO THE POLICE IMPOUND. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
CRUISE CONTROL, STOPPED WORKING WHILE ON A(INTERSTATE) ROAD TRIP. DESPITE STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE CAR. LATER I STOPPED AT A GAS STATION AND IT WORKED FOR A MILE OR SO AFTER RESTARTING THEN STOPPED WORKING AGAIN.
EXPERIENCED A FALSE POSITIVE RELATED TO AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING (BRAKES LOCKED UP AND TIRES SCREECHED). THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE CAR AND LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME.
SHIFT BUTTON POPPED OUT OF SHIFT HANDLE CAUSING CAR TO NOT BE ABLE TO SHIFT INTO DIFFERENT GEARS. THIS OCCURRED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION IN A PARKING LOT.
SHIFT KNOB BUTTON BROKE IN HALF AS I WAS PLACING MY CR-V 2017 IN PARK. BROKEN PIECE COMPLETELY FELL OUT. UNABLE TO SHIFT GEARS. NEEDED TO USE A SCREWDRIVER TO DEPRESS THE GEAR MECHANISM AND SHIFT INTO PARK.
SHIFTER KNOB BROKE AND FELL OFF GEAR SHIFTER WHILE IN MOTION UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION I FOUND THAT HONDA HAD ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN 19-063 DESCRIBING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AS HAD HAPPENED TO OUR VEHICLE AND IT REFERENCED NHTSA #10160912 BUT THE SERVICE BULLETIN IS VIN SPECIFIC AND HONDA IS STATING THAT OUR VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED FOR REPAIR UNDER THIS SERVICE BULLETIN. I AM QUESTIONING THEM FURTHER BUT IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS DESCRIBED IN THE BULLETIN SO MAYBE THE RECALL/PRODUCT UPDATE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT FURTHER SO THAT IN THE FUTURE DRIVERS DON'T EXPERIENCE THE SHIFTER KNOB FALLING OFF THE GEAR SELECTOR WHILE IN MOTION.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-5 ABOUT 70 MPH, SUDDENLY THE CAR STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND SPEED DROPPED IMMEDIATELY TO 10-12 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER A MINUTE OR SO THE CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL. I CONTINUED DRIVING TO THE NEXT DEALER AND HAD THEM INSPECT THE CAR. THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AND GAVE ME BACK MY CAR. AFTER DRIVING AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES THE SAME THING HAPPENED ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MANY OTHER WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND FLASHED. ONCE AGAIN I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY THEN CHANGED THE OIL, REPLACED A FOULED SPARK PLUG, ADJUSTED THE FUEL INJECTOR SETTINGS AND REPLACED THE CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT. HONDA HAS BEEN UNABLE TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM LONG TERM.
THIS IS THE FIFTH WINDSHIELD (INCLUDING THE ONE I BOUGHT WITH THE CAR) I AM ON WITH MY 2017 HONDA CRV. EVERY JANUARY/FEBRUARY IT SEEMS MY CAR'S WINDSHIELD "CRACKS" FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY SAME COMMUTE FOR TEN YEARS. NEVER IN THOSE YEARS HAVE I HAD TO REPLACE MY WINDSHIELD ON OTHER CARS. SINCE GETTING MY HONDA, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IT! THESE CRACKS TAKE PLACE AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED AND WHEN THE TEMPERATURE CHANGES. THIS IS CAUSING MULTIPLE INSURANCE CLAIMS AS A RESULT- IMPACTING MY INSURANCE. I'M ALSO FEARFUL OF MY CHILDREN'S AND MY SAFETY DUE TO THESE RANDOM CRACKS. I DO NOT TRUST MY WINDSHIELD IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. I'M ACTUALLY CONSIDERING TRADING THIS VEHICLE IN BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. HONDA NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING NOW.. TONIGHT WAS ACTUALLY THE FIFTH TIME THIS HAPPENED AFTER I PARKED MY VEHICLE (AFTER ACTUALLY HAVING MY HONDA SERVICED).
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HWY AT 65 MPH THE BUTTON IN THE GEAR SHIFT POPPED OUT. IT IS A PIECE OF PLASTIC AND IT BROKE INSIDE THE GEAR HANDLE. I DROVE HOME BUT WITHOUT THIS BUTTON INSERTED I AM NOT ABLE TO SHIFT TO PARK, REVERSE, DRIVE. I TOOK IT TO THE WESTHILLS HONDA DEALER FOR REPAIR. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS SAME ISSUE BUT NOT FOR THIS VIN. TO ME THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS CONCERN.
GOING ON THIRD WINDSHIELD, FIRST ONE CRACKED LOWER LEFT CORNER. HAD IT REPLACED AND IT CRACKED IN IDENTICAL POSITION. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION BOTH TIMES, ON HIGHWAY CONDITIONS. *TR
ON 1/8/20 WHEN I STARTED MY CAR IN THE MORNING ALL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON BEFORE LEAVING THE DRIVEWAY, AND STAYED ON ALL THE WAY TO WORK, AND BACK. THEN AGAIN THE FOLLOWING MORNING. I CALLED HONDA ON 1/9/20, THEY ADVISED TO COME IN SOONER THAN LATER. CAR IS AT HONDA NOW 1/10/20, THEY ARE STATING ALL CODES MAY BE DUE TO TWO CODES THAT NEED TO BE FIXED: P0302 (FUEL INJECTION), WHICH IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND U0129 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BRAKING SYSTEM DUE TO A/C CONTROL UNIT - WHICH WILL COST ME $1630 FOR A CAR WITH ONLY 60,000 MILES ON IT! OF NOTE: THE CAR'S EMERGENCY BRAKE WHILE DRIVING HAS TRIGGERED A COUPLE OF TIMES, AND ALL WARNING LIGHTS HAVE COME ON BEFORE IN HEAVY RAIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL CEASED WITH SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN HOME, PARKED OVERNIGHT, AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE HENDRICK HONDA OF CHARLESTON LOCATED AT (1539 SAVANNAH HIGHWAY, CHARLESTON, SC 29407 (843) 279-0447) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 73,000.
COMPUTER FAILURE RESULTING IN MULTIPLE ERROR MESSAGE'S AND WARNING LIGHTS. LOSS OF ANTILOCK BRAKES, ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKES, AUTOMATIC COLLISION BRAKES, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE MITIGATION, HILL ASSIST, VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST PROBLEM, POWER STEERING PROBLEM. TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA DEALER, THEY CLAIMED SOFTWARE ISSUE AND DID AN UPGRADE. PROBLEM IS BACK. I RESET THE COMPUTER BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY. A FEW DAYS LATER PROBLEM RETURNS. DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE DRIVING OR PARKED. IT HAS FAILED WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED WITH ENGINE RUNNING. ERROR REQUIRES A COMPUTER RESET TO CLEAR IT. PROBLEM FIRST OCCURRED OVER A YEAR AGO AND CONTINUES TO THIS DAY..
VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FRIDAY 1/3/2020 IN A MIX OF DRIVING THAT INCLUDED THIRTY-FIVE MILES AT 70MPH+ AND SECONDARY TRIP OF TEN MILES IN TOWN THAT WAS A MIX OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE IN SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC CABIN OF VEHICLE FILLED WITH GAS FUMES, FIRST FAINTLY, BUT BECAME WORSE UNTIL HEADACHE AND NAUSEA OCCURRED. VEHICLE WAS EVENTUALLY PARKED AND RESTED FOR TEN MINUTES TO CHECK OIL ALONG WITH INTERIOR AIR REFRESH. WHILE CHECKING OIL I OBSERVED THE OIL LEVEL .75 INCHES ABOVE THE FULL MARK ON THE DIP STICK WITH AN OVERALL STRONG ODOR OF FUEL. ENGINE OPERATED AS IT ALWAYS HAS, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND NO EVIDENCE OF DRIVE ABILITY PROBLEMS. OIL LEVEL WAS ALSO OBSERVED TO BE .75 INCHES ABOVE FULL MARK 11/24/2019 AND SUBSEQUENT PHOTO WAS TAKEN. OIL WAS CHANGED 1/4/2020 AT 50,189 WITH OIL LIFE AT 50% WITH 5,714 MILES. PRIOR OIL CHANGE SERVICE OCCURRED AT 44,475 MILES ON 8/27/2019 AND THE OIL LEVEL WAS VERIFIED AT FULL LINE . FUEL SMELLS HAVE BEEN NOTICED IN THIS VEHICLE SINCE 300 MILES ON ODOMETER. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO DEALER DECEMBER 12/2017 FOR FUEL SMELL COMPLAINT BUT NO RECTIFICATION MADE. 12/2018 THE DEALER PERFORMED TSB 18-114 WHICH INCLUDED HVAC MODULE REPLACEMENT, AND REPROGRAM TCU AND PCM, AND CHANGE OIL. AFTER THIS MUCH ANTICIPATED UPDATE VIRTUALLY NO CHANGE WAS OBSERVED AS OIL RISE AND FUEL SMELLS CONTINUED TO OCCUR. DURING THE WINTER OF 2018-2019 OIL RISE INCREASED .50" ABOVE FULL MARK AT 5000 MILE OIL, BUT PREMIUM FUEL WAS UTILIZED CONSISTENTLY. WE ALSO OBSERVED VERY FEW INSTANCES OF GAS SMELL IN CABIN. MANUFACTURER HAS COMMUNICATED THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT REQUIRE PREMIUM FUEL. THIS VEHICLE IS DRIVEN MOSTLY HIGHWAY MILES, 25 MILES PER TRIP AT 70MPH+. OUR DRIVING SITUATION CONTRADICTS THE MANUFACTURER EXPLANATION OF SHORT TRIPS AS CAUSE OF EXCESSIVE OIL DILUTION BY FUEL.
CONTINUATION OF COMPLAINTS 11307119, AND 11307127. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD BEEN GOING ON WITH THE CAR. I WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND WAITED. I WAS LATER INFORMED THE HONDA RECOMMENDED THAT THE PLUGS BE REPLACED AND OIL CHANGE AND A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I WAS LATER TOLD THAT I WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE INJECTORS REPLACED AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NEED TO ORDER PARTS AND PROVIDED ME WITH A CAR AND I LEFT, IT WAS A FRIDAY. MONDAY I WENT TO PICKUP THE CAR. I WAS CHARGED $1800 PLUS FOR THE REPAIR. I LEFT AND EVERYTHING SEEMED OK BUT BEFORE I GOT HOME THE ALARM ENGINE EMISSION PROBLEM CAME UP. NEXT DAY I CALLED BACK AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IN AND THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT AGAIN. THE MESSAGE IS STILL THERE.
THE SHIFT BUTTON ON THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTER FELL OFF. IT IS BROKE SO THE CAR CANNON BE PUT BACK INTO PARK.
2017 HONDA CRV LX. I PULLED OIL DIP STICK TO CHECK OIL AND IT SMELLED LIKE STRAIGHT GASOLINE. SO I UNSCREWED OIL CAP SAME THING. NO OIL SMELL JUST GAS. I THEN CONTACTED A LOCAL GARAGE IN MY AREA AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT. THEY SAID THERE'S DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG BECAUSE THERE SHOULD BE NO GAS IN THE OIL. I THEN CONTACTED THE HONDA DEALER IN MY AREA AND THEY SCHEDULED ME AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THE MECHANIC I TALKED TO SAID THEIR SHOULDN'T BE GAS IN THE OIL. WHEN I ARRIVED TO MY APPOINTMENT THE MECHANIC I TALKED TO WASN'T WORKING AND THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER HONDA MECHANIC. I EXPLAINED MY CONCERN AND THE FIRST MECHANIC I TALKED TO CONCERNS AND WHAT HE SAID TO ME ON THE PHONE. THEY THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE GARAGE TO LOOK AT IT. THE MECHANIC CAME OUT AND SAID HE CHANGED THE OIL FOR US AND ASSURED ME THAT MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE THE GAS SMELL IN THE OIL BECAUSE THAT'S THE WAY THE ENGINES WERE DESIGNED. I THEN TOLD HIM THAT I READ A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE TO HONDA AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LOOKED INTO BY HONDA. HE SAID NEVER IN HIS CAREER HAS HE BIN WRONG ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I SAID WELL I WANT IT DOCUMENTED IN THE PAPERWORK THAT THE OIL SMELLS LIKE STRAIGHT GAS AND IF SOMETHING WOULD HAPPEN TO THE VEHICLE THAT I WANTED IT FIXED IN FULL BY HONDA BECAUSE OF WHAT HE HAD SAID TO ME. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE TO HONDA. PEOPLE ARE HAVING TO PAY LOTS OF MONEY TO GET THEIR ENGINES FIXED OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT LOOK INTO IT AND FILE A RECALL. THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF COMPLAINT 11307119 IN WHICH I HAD TO TOW CAR TO DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. I RECEIVED A CALL AFTER CHRISTMAS THAT MY CAR WAS READY FOR PICKUP AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT IT WAS OUT OF GAS. I WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR AND WAS CHARGED $100 PLUS FOR THE THREE GALLONS OF GASOLINE. I GOT IN THE CAR, STARTED IT, IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH THEN AS I STARTED TO LEAVE ALL THE WARNINGS CAME UP AGAIN, I PULLED BACK AROUND TO THE SERVICE BAY AND GOT THE ATTENTION OF THE SERVICE REP AND SHOWED HIM THE WARNINGS ON THE DASH. HE GOT A TECHNICIAN AND HOOKED UP A DIAGNOSTIC TOOL BUT SAID HE SAW NO CODES, SO HE GOT A COMPUTER AND HOOKED IT UP AND SAID ALL HE SAW WAS AN EVAP CODE, BUT ALL THE WARNINGS WERE ON DISPLAY. I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE CAR SO THEY COULD CHECK FURTHER. I LEFT IN THE LOANER. A COUPLE DAYS LATER I WAS CALLED AND TOLD THEY WOULD NEED TO TEAR THE ENGINE DOWN TO TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND I WOULD NEED TO APPROVE THE WORK AND AGREE TO PAY IF IT WERE DEEMED NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I AGREED. I WAS LATER CALLED AND TOLD IT NEEDED TO HAVE THE INJECTORS REPLACED AND IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED AND THE COST WOULD BE $1440. I TOLD THE REP THE CAR WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THE REPAIR.. LATER THAT DAY I CALLED AND WAS TOLD I COULD PICK UP THE CAR, I WENT TO GET THE CAR AND WAS TOLD IT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND A NOTE WAS ON SERVICE RECORD THAT THE CUSTOMER HAD DECLINED TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED. I WAS VERY CONFUSED AND UPSET. I COMMENTED ABOUT MY DISPLEASURE AND CONCERN FOR SAFETY, I WAS TOLD I RECEIVED GREAT SERVICE ESPECIALLY SINCE I DID NOT PURCHASE CARE THERE. I WAS ALSO CHARGED $300 PLUS AND THE CAR WAS NOT REPAIRED AND UNSAFE. I ASKED TO SEE SERVICE MANAGER BUT WAS TOLD HE WAS NOT IN. I PAID THE BILL AND LEFT. BEFORE I GOT HOME THE CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE AGAIN AND ALL THE WARNINGS CAME UP ALSO.

THEN ONE DAY WHILE TRAVELING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD I NARROWLY AVOIDED BEING STRUCK IN THE REAR BY A SEMI TRUCK AND TRAILER BARRELING DOWN ON ME. I DID MAKE IT OFF AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF WAITED A SHORT WHILE AND RESTARTED THE MOTOR. THERE WAS A NEW MESSAGE IN THE DISPLAY "VEHICLE EMISSION PROBLEM" . I PULLED ONTO THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME. THIS WAS THE WEEKEND AND THE FOLLOWING MONDAY I CALLED THE LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP AND SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I WAITED IN THE LOBBY AND SHORTLY THE SERVICE REP TOLD ME PARTS NEEDED TO BE ORDERED AND I WOULD NOTIFIED WHEN THEY CAME SO MY CAR COULD BE REPAIRED, I WAS ALSO TOLD IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. A FEW DAYS I WAS CALLED AND TOOK THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR. I WAITED AND LATER WAS TOLD MY CAR WAS READY. I LEFT AND ALL SEEMED WELL UNTIL THE NEXT DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, ALL THE ALARMS DISPLAYED AND THE FUNCTIONS IN ALARM DID NOT WORK. THE CAR ALSO WENT INTO LIMP MODE AGAIN AND I HAD TO PULL OVER. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR BACK IN. THE NEXT MORNING WHILE GOING TO WORK THE CAR AGAIN LOST POWER AND STOPPED. ALL THE ALARMS WERE UP INCLUDING EMISSION SYSTEM PROBLEM, THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED AND I HAD THE CAR TOWED IN. A LOANER CAR WAS PROVIDED. THIS WAS CHRISTMAS EVE.

I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES WHERE SEVERAL SYSTEM ALERTS POP UP ON MY DASHBOARD FOR NO APPARENT REASON (LANE KEEPING ASSIST PROBLEM, ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM, COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM, AND BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHT). THIS HAS HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY SINCE I FIRST OWNED MY BRAND NEW CAR (THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS ONE MONTH AFTER OWNING IT). ON ALL INSTANCES, THE CAR SEEMED FINE DESPITE THE WARNINGS. IN THE FIRST TWO INSTANCES THE WARNING LIGHTS WENT OUT AFTER ABOUT ONE MINUTE AND IN THE THIRD INSTANCE IT STAYED ON EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF ALTHOUGH IT DID GO OUT AFTER THE CAR WAS SHUT OFF OVERNIGHT AND RESTARTED. IT IS VERY CONCERNING WHEN ANY WARNING GOES OFF BUT ESPECIALLY SO WHEN IT INDICATES A BRAKE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP WAS OF NO HELP STATING THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING UNLESS IT WAS HAPPENING WHEN THEY LOOKED AT IT. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS PROBLEM BUT THERE ARE MULTIPLE REPORTS ONLINE AND I KNOW SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE.

NO PROBLEMS WITH ENGINE, UNTIL 40,000 MILES. I ALWAYS CHANGED THE OIL AT 3000 MILES SO IT HAD NO TIME TO INCREASE. LAST WEEK I TOOK A 1200 MILE TRIP, CHECKED THE OIL WHEN I GOT HOME, FOUND IT TO BE WELL OVER A QUART ABOVE FULL. I CALLED MY HONDA DEALER AND SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE 23RD OF DECEMBER.

MY FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THE WHOLE TIME. THERE WAS A SLIGHT DOWNWARD SLOPE IN THE ROAD AS I ENTERED THE INTERSECTION OF THE CROSSING ROAD LANES. I CAN'T JUST STICK MY FINGER IN SO I AM GOING TO NEED TO TAPE THE BUTTON BACK ON UNTIL I GET IT FIXED. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS RECALL ISSUE SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE MENTIONED IT.
