HAD FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WAS STOPPED, BUT VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE FORWARD AND CAUSED VEHICLE TO IMPACT A BRICK POLE.
ENGINE REV UP AND DOWN, THEN STALLING AND SHUTS OFF
PURCHASED 08-24-2019. NOT EVEN 1200 MILES IN I HAVE GAS IN MY OIL AFTER CHECKING OIL ON DIPSTICK AT HOME. PROBABLY 1/2 INCH ABOVE THE OIL FILL LINE. PER DEALER ON 11/05 MULTIPOINT INSPECTION THERE IS GASOLINE IN THE OIL PER THE DEALER'S NOTATION.
WHILE SHIFTING THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE THE GEAR SHIFT RELEASE BUTTON POPPED OUT. THUS NOT ALLOWING ME TO PUT THE VEHICLE BACK IN PARK UNTIL PUTTING THE GEAR RELEASE BUTTON BACK INTO THE GEAR SHIFT HANDLE. I NOTICED A SPRING HAD POPPED OUT OF THE GREAT SHIFT HANDLE ALONG WITH THE SHIFT RELEASE BUTTON.
WHEN DRIVING ON A LOCAL ROAD FROM SCHOOL, MY SON PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AFTER A STOP LIGHT. OUR 2017 HONDA CRV DIDN'T MOVE AN INCH. THANKFULLY, IT WAS NOT A HIGHWAY AND THE CARS BEHIND HIM WERE NOT COMING AT HIGH SPEED. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER AND IT TURNED OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS GONE AND IT HAD TO BE REPLACED. WE WERE QUITE UPSET THAT ONLY A TWO YEAR OLD CAR CAN HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND WANTED TO REPORT THE INCIDENT,
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE ASSIST, COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM, ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION, ADAPTIVE CRUSE CONTROL, SOME DRIVER ASSIST NOT OPERATING, RADAR OBSTRUCTED AND AUTO HIGH BEAM WARNING INDICATORS FLASHED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURES WERE INTERMITTENT AND HAS RECURRED FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF ANNAPOLIS, 1736 WEST ST, ANNAPOLIS, MD 21401 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF THE FAULT CODES WERE ERASED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED ABOUT A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 17064 (RADAR SOFTWARE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE 1 YR AND A FEW MONTHS AND HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WIPED OUT AND THE SOFTWARE REINSTALLED MORE THAN 2X DUE TO 'PROBLEM' DASH LIGHTS ALL OF THE SUDDEN SCROLLING;ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM, ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM, BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM PROBLEM, TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR PROBLEM, EMISSIONS SYSTEM PROBLEM, ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM, POWER STEERING SYSTEM PROBLEM, VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST PROBLEM, HILL START ASSIST PROBLEM, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM, ECT. THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FENDER BENDER IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THIS CHAOS, BUT THE PROBLEMS STARTED SHORTLY AFTER I BOUGHT IT IN MAY2019. AT ONE TIME THE COMPUTER WOULD CLEAR ITSELF OUT AND I COULD RIDE AROUND FOR A DAY OR TWO WITHOUT ALL THESE LIGHTS FLASHING. THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE. THESE SCROLLING PROBLEM LIGHTS OCCUR AFTER I'VE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD BUT NOW THEY COME ON IMMEDIATELY WHEN I TURN ON THE VEHICLE. PRIOR TO THIS AND MONTHS AGO, WHEN I WAS ROUNDING A CORNER ON THE FREEWAY ALL THE SUDDEN THE BRAKE ASSIST ENGAGED AS IF I WAS TOO CLOSE TO A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. IT WAS QUITE A JOLT. THE FIRST TIME THIS OCCURRED WAS OCTOBER/NOVEMBER. 2019. THIS EVENING I GOT MY OIL CHANGED AND THE MECHANIC FOUND GAS IN MY OIL; I MENTIONED A GAS ODOR LAST WINTER TO THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR OIL CHANGE. THEY BASICALLY BLEW IT OFF. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT NOW. IN FACT I EVEN SAVED SOME OF THE OIL THAT CAME OUT OF THE ENGINE TO SHOW MY HUSBAND WHEN HE GETS HOME. I HAVE USED TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS THUS FAR BECAUSE OF WORKMANSHIP ISSUES AT THE FIRST DEALERSHIP. NOW DEALERSHIP NUMBER TWO DOES NOT EVEN WANT TO TOUCH MY VEHICLE.
THE WINDSHIELD ON MY HONDA CR-V CRACKED FROM THE VERY BOTTOM ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I NOTICED THERE'S A CRACK THAT SEEMED TO HAVE BEGUN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. I'M TERRIFIED THAT THERE'S SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THIS WINDSHIELD AND I AM TO SCARED TO DRIVE PASSENGERS IN A CAR WITH A DEFECTIVE WINDSHIELD.
GAS GETS IN THE OIL, GAS FUMES GO INTO THE CAR ITSELF AND MAKE US DIZZY WHILE DRIVING (NOT SAFE). CAR SPUTTERS (NOT SAFE) AND HEATER DOES NOT GET WARM ENOUGH TO KEEP THE WINDSHIELD CLEAR IN COLD WEATHER REDUCING VIABILITY AND CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. IT TAKES 15 MINUTES OF DRIVING FOR CAR TO WARM UP, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SEE OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD FOR THE FIRST 15 MINUTES. I'M AWARE THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MY MODEL, I WOULD LIKE HONDA TO DO A RECALL AND REALLY ACTUALLY FIX IT. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO FIX AT THIS TIME. THE SERVICE CAMPAIGN ISN'T WORKING. I'M READING THAT THE 2019 WERE SUPPOSEDLY FIXED WITH THE SAME SERVICE CAMPAIGN AND IT'S NOT WORKING.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AFTER LEAVING A MOVIE. I PROBABLY WASN'T GOING OVER 25 MPH. SOMETHING FLEW INTO THE FLOOR, AND I THOUGH MY KEYS HAD SLID INTO THE FLOOR. I CAME TO A STOP LIGHT AND LOOKED DOWN. THE KNOB TO MY GEAR SHIFT AND THE SPRING HAD FLOWN OFF THE HANDLE. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND REACH DOWN AND FIND THE PARTS AND TRY TO PRESS THEM INTO THE GEAR SHIFT SO THAT I COULD PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I WAS IN THE CITY, BUT I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN. I WAS GOING DOWN A STRAIGHT ROAD.
THE BUTTON ON THE GEAR SHIFTER KNOB HAS BROKEN OFF MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SWITCH FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND BACK TO PARK. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD IF I AM UNABLE TO PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. BASED UPON ONLINE LOOK-UPS, THIS SEEMS TO BE A FREQUENT PROBLEM WITHIN THE 2017 CR-V
We had a tire flat, then the following warning lights and alarms repeated sound for up to one minute and appear every time the car is started: Brakes, Brake System Light, TPMS Light, Engine Check Light, Road Departure Light, Electric Parking Brake Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor Problem, Emissions System Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hole System Problem, Power Steering System (EPS) Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem. Risk: is obvious Confirmed by independent service center. The vehicle has not been inspected by a dealer. There were not any warnings prior.
MY ENTIRE GEAR SHIFTER ASSEMBLY FELL APART WHILE I PUT IN IN PARK THIS MORNING. NOW I CANT DRIVE IT AT ALL. IT WAS STATIONARY WHEN THIS HAPPENED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND NOTICED THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS SHADED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED OURISMAN HONDA OF TYSONS CORNER (LOCATED AT 1580 SPRING HILL RD, VIENNA, VA 22182, (866) 341-3566) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,200. *LN*JB
ON 10/16/2019, DEALER REPLACED ALL OF THE FUEL INJECTORS, BECAUSE THEY FAILED HONDA'S TESTS. PICKED UP THE VEHICLE ON THE EVENING OF 10/16/2019 AND DROVE IT HOME. STARTED DRIVING IT TO WORK ON 10/17/2019 AND WHILE ACCELERATING ON THE INTERESTATE, THE ENGINE STARTED MISFIRING (VIOLENT THUDS) AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING REPEATEDLY. I LOST POWER AND WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AS SOON AS THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED, I PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NO LONGER BLINKED OR ILLUMINATED. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE DID NOT MISFIRE PRIOR TO THE REPAIRS MADE BY HONDA. ATTACHED IS THE FUEL INJECTOR REPAIRS INVOICE. I ALSO HAD ALL REQUIRED MAINTENANCE AS INDICATED IN THE HONDA SERVICE MANUAL. VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 61000 MILES.
THREE POTENTIALLY SERIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES ARE SUMMARIZED: TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL QUICKLY FLASHED THE FOLLOWING WARNING MESSAGES: 1) ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) PROBLEM; 2) ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM; 3) COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM; 4) BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM. DRIVABILITY WAS NOT AFFECTED AT THE TIME, THOUGH THE MESSAGES CAUSED IMMEDIATE CONCERNS ABOUT WHAT CAUSED THESE TO APPEAR FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHILE DRIVING. WEATHER AND ROADS WERE CLEAR. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND RESTART THE VEHICLE, WHICH CLEARED THE ERROR DISPLAYS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION. WHILE DRIVING (CITY AND HIGHWAY) THE VEHICLE BRIGHTNESS CONTROL ON THE INFO SCREEN WILL RANDOMLY START TO BEEP AND FLASH REPEATEDLY. THE SCREEN CYCLES BETWEEN DARK AND VARIOUS INFO DISPLAYS WHILE THE AUDIO SYSTEM KEEPS PLAYING. THE TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLS ON THE SCREEN ARE NON-RESPONSIVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE RESTORES THE DISPLAY TO NORMAL. THIS OCCURS WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION WITH NO PARTICULAR REASONS FOR THE ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR. THIS SITUATION WITH THE DISPLAY HAS REOCCURRED MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR (DEC 2017). THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE HAPPENED NEAR THE END OF A 600-MILE DRIVING DAY. YESTERDAY THE CAR WOULD NOT START, BATTERY ISSUE WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE LIKELY PROBLEM AFTER PLACING A SERVICE ASSIST CALL TO HONDA. A JUMP START AND PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. MILEAGE APPROX. 19,000. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS OCCURRED SINCE OWNING THE CAR. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS OF OWNING THE CAR. IN BOTH INSTANCES, THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED LESS THAN 2 HOURS. PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT SET IN EITHER CASE.
Driving home one night in the dark and the weather was misty/foggy. Our vehicle went over one of those large metal plates that construction workers use when they're working on the road. All of a sudden the braking system activated on it's own and it brought us to a complete stop. It was scary because there was no traffic threat to us and I didn't apply the brakes. Luckily there was no vehicle behind me because they would have rear ended us for sure. After this incident I am always mindful to turn off the automatic braking whenever I start the vehicle
STARTED THE VEHICLE TO GO HOME AND "EMISSIONS SYSTEM PROBLEM" APPEARED ON THE DASH, ALONG WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I WAS STATIONARY AND IN A PARKING LOT. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT BACK HOME. TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA DEALER ON 10/14/2019. DETERMINED IT WAS A MISFIRE OF THE FUEL INJECTORS AND THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I ALSO HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AS RECOMMENDED BY HONDA SINCE PURCHASING IT NEW, WHICH INCLUDED ENGINE INDUCTION SERVICE. HAD 59680 MILES ON THE ODOMOETER AND HAS THE 1.5L TURBO ENGINE. I ALSO HAD ALL RECALLS COMPLETED WHEN NOTIFIED.
ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 14 MY 2017 HONDA CRV TOURING MADE A SUDDEN STOP ON A PERFECTLY CLEAR DAY ON THE KELLY AVE BRIDGE LEADING INTO MY BALTIMORE NEIGHBORHOOD. THERE WAS NOTHING IN FRONT OF US OR BEHIND US. THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM CAME ON AND THE CAR SLAMMED TO A HALT. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS BEHIND US. I REALLY THOUGHT I HAD BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND--IT WAS EXTREMELY JARRING. I CALLED HONDA CORPORATE AND FILED A COMPLAINT AND AM TAKING THE CAR IN MONDAY TO THE DEALER SO THEY CAN RUN A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. MY SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME TO CLEAN MY WINDSHIELD AS THAT WAS PROBABLY WHAT CAUSED THE EVENT TO OCCUR. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH--IF WE HAD BEEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND A TRUCK BEHIND US IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER.

THE CONTACT CALLED JAY HONDA (175 BROADWAY AVE, BEDFORD, OH 44146, (440) 926-6202) AND WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. *LN CONSUMER STATED I WANT TO SUBMIT THE VIDEO ATTACHED (IT WAS TOO LARGE TO SEND SO I HAD TO PUT IT ON GOOGLE DOCUMENTS. LET ME KNOW IF YOU GET THE ITEM I WAS NOT SURE ABOUT SHARING VIDEOS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR MANY HONDA AND I BELIEVE THIS OCCURS WHEN YOU GO OVER METAL PLATES ON THE ROAD. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME, LUCKILY I WAS GOING ON A SLOW ROAD AND NOT DOWN A FAST HIGHWAY. VIDEO LINK ATTACHED *JB
ALL WARNING SYSTEMS FOR SAFETY FEATURES LIT UP FOR NO REASON. VEHICLE LOST 80% OF POWER AND COULD BARELY GET IT HOME.
WHEN I GO TO HONDA DEALERSHIP, THEY TELL ME I HAVE NO RECALLS ON MY CAR, ALTHOUGH IM READING EVERYWHERE ELSE, AND IM GETTING NOTICES IN THE MAIL ON A FEW OF THEM. I FEEL LIKE IM BEING LIED TO ABOUT MY CAR AND IM AFRAID THAT MY CAR IS GOING TO FALL APART THE LONGER I KEEP IT. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF I CAN GET SOMEONE TO ADVOCATE FOR ME ON THE ISSIES THAT I AM HAVING WITH THE HONDA DEALERSHIP/CORPORATION. I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK THREE DAYS AGO, AND I COULD NOT GET MY CAR TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE, I RELEASED THE SHIFT BUTTON AND IT POPPED OUT ONTO MY FLOORBOARD. HONDA NOW SAYS THEY WILL NOT COVER THE FULL COST OF REPAIR. MY RECALL THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE DONE ABOUT MY MOTOR LEAKING GAS INTO THE OIL WAS NEVER REPAIRED AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT EVEN THOUGH I GOT THE NOTICE IN THE MAIL, MY VEHICLE SHOWS DOES NOT NEED REPAIRED. PLEASE HELP ME. I HAVE NEVER FELT SO HELPLESS AND THEY TELL ME I WAS NEVER SENT A RECALL NOTICE, WHEN I HAVE IT IN MY HAND.
AT EXACTLY TWO YEARS OLD, THE BATTERY DIED. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT OF COURSE, MY VEHICLE DIDN'T NEED UPDATE, IT NEEDED A NEW BATTERY DUE TO DEAD CELL THAT HAPPENED WITHIN SIX HOURS. THE TOP SIDES OF THE BODY HAS RIPPLES DOWN BOTH SIDES. WAS TOLD THIS IS USUALLY CAUSE BY ROOF RACK (I DON'T HAVE ROOF RACK) OR BY CAR WASH (MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN THROUGH A CAR WASH. I WON'T EVEN LET DEALER WASH IT WHEN I'M THERE). THE CAR BRAKES HARD EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO OBSTRUCTION IN FRONT OF ME. THE CRUISE, LANE ASSIST, MITIGATION WILL ALL SHUT OFF AT VARIOUS TIMES SAYING RADAR IS OFF/BLOCKED. ON 10/08/19 WHILE DRIVING, THE LCD SCREEN STARTED BEEPING, FLASHING AND GOING BLACK. NOTHING WOULD WORK. CAR IS BECOMING DANGEROUS TO BE ON ROADWAY. FILED COMPLAINT WITH HONDA ON A COUPLE ISSUES. SORRY FOR MY LUCK, IT'S NOW OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO MILEAGE.
MY FIRST SCENARIO WAS A WEEK AGO I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WITH NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I ACCELERATED AND JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO PASS THE INTERSECTION MY CAR GAVE A BRAKE WARNING ON MY ODOMETER SCREEN AND ABRUBTY BRAKED. THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME NOR A PEDESTRICAN OTHER THAN A CAR THAT ALMOST REAR-ENDED ME. THERE WERE CLEAR ROAD CONDITONS. MY SECOND SCENARIO I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY CAR GAVE THE SAME WARNING TO BRAKE WITH NO CARS FOR ONE HUNDRED FEET. MY BRAKED ABRUPTLY AND SENT ME DRIFTING AT LEAST TEN FEET FORWARD. IM FEELING EXTREMELY UNSAFE IN MY CAR AT THIS POINT.
POWER TRAIN AND FUEL INJECTOR ISSUE. CAUSING THE SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, HOWEVER THE FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR WAS NOT.
CAR WINDOWS ROLL DOWN BY THEMSELVES WITHOUT ANY CONTACT WITH KEY FOB. THIS HAPPENED WHEN CAR WAS NOT TURNED ON.
I OWN A 2017 HONDA CRV. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ACTIVATED FOR NO REASON. THE MOST SERIOUS ONE WAS WHEN I WENT DOWN ON A BRIDGE, AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEMS GOT ACTIVATED AND BREAKING HARD. IT WAS BREAKING SO HARD THAT ALMOST STOP DEAD. I WAS SO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE BEHIND HIT ME. SOME OF THE OCCASIONS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS MAKING A EXIT TURN ON HIGHWAY AND ONE OR TWICE WHEN I WENT STRAIGHT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE WITH OTHER HONDA AND OWNERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR HATCH WOULD NOT OPEN AND THE ENGINE WAS DIFFICULT TO START. LATER, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM ERRONEOUSLY ACTIVATED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ABRUPTLY STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FLOW HONDA OF BURLINGTON (2920 S. CHURCH ST, BURLINGTON, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY WAS FAULTY AND THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM REQUIRED AN UPDATE. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED AND THE UPDATE WAS PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,135. THE CONSUMER STATED THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR OCCASIONALLY ILLUMINATES.*JS
DRIVER SIDE SEAT HEATER FAILED AT LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD & UNDER 45,000 MILES. DEALER SAID IT'S NOT A COVERED REPAIR NOR MANUFACTURER DEFECT. HONDA CORP WOULDN'T TALK TO ME BECAUSE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO HIGH MILEAGE.
On at least 2 different occasions, the brakes my 2017 Honda CRV suddenly engaged without me touching the brake pedal. Once was on I-75 when there was no traffic in front of me and no traffic on the sides. It just braked momentarily with the brake warning light on the dash appearing. It almost immediately returned to proper operation. Another time I was driving in city traffic while crossing an intersection and the brakes suddenly engaged. Again, it was a momentary situation and my foot was not on the brake pedal. I have also had repeated problems with my main display-sometimes the screen goes black and I am unable to turn radio off or change stations. Other times, the a/c or heater and defrost will not operate and then after driving for 15-30 mins it suddenly turns on and I have heat or ac and the screen returns to normal operation. The dealer has been unable to fix.
SHIFTER NOD BROKE AND SNAPPED FROM MY HONDA CRV 2017 TODAY. IT'S A NEW CAR AND THIS IS A DEFECT SAFETY HAZARD FOR ANY DRIVER. I CAN SEE IT'S A VERY CHEAP PLASTIC THE WAY THE NOD IS MADE OF. I WANT TO REPORT TO HONDA SO IT'S GETTING COVERED THE REPAIR.
MY 2017 CRV-EX HAS HAD ITS BATTERY DRAINED TWICE. WITH ONLY 4600 MILES DRIVEN. I'VE HAD THE BATTERY DRAINED AFTER 2 DAYS TO LESS THEN 24 HOURS. I'M ON MY THIRD TIME NOW.
SHIFT KNOB BUTTON POPPED OUT YESTERDAY, SATURDAY 9/28/19, WHILE IN STATIONARY POSITION SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE. HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE UNTIL I COULD LOCATE THE SPRING THAT POPPED OUT. WILL HAVE TO CAREFULLY HOLD THE BUTTON IN PLACE TO SHIFT AND MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T FALL OUT WHILE IN MOTION UNTIL I CAN GET TO DEALER TO FIX FIRST THING MONDAY.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, CLEAR SKY AND DRY PAVEMENT. AS I WAS COMING AROUND A CURVE THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED, SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES, COMING TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP. NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE CLOSE ENOUGH IN FRONT OF OR ON THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE TO WARRANT THE BRAKING SYSTEM TO BE ACTIVATED. THANKFULLY NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE CLOSE ENOUGH BEHIND ME TO CAUSE A COLLISION. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE ALTHOUGH NOTHING WAS DONE AS I TRADED THE CAR IN FOR FEAR OF THE ISSUE OCCURRING AGAIN. THIS WAS THE SECOND INCIDENT. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A DRY, 2 LANE STREET, WITH A MEDIAN BETWEEN ON COMING TRAFFIC, WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. AS I APPROACHED A GREEN LIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH THERE WAS AN ONCOMING VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD, STATIONARY AT THE LIGHT, WHEN THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES, BRINGING MY VEHICLE TO A STOP. NO COLLISION OR INJURIES OCCURRED WITH THIS INCIDENT. ALSO, NO NOTIFICATION TO THE DEALER WITH THIS INCIDENT.
I WAS DRIVING MY HONDA CR-V ON A CITY STREET ALL OFF SUDDEN THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE AND BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE CAME ON AND THE CAR JUST STALLED AND WON'T START. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 123,000.
GEAR SHIFT KNOB SNAPPED OFF MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIFT INTO OR OUT OF PARK OR REVERSE. THIS CAR IS JUST OVER 2 YEARS OLD WITH 16,000 MILES. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT HAPPENED - I HAD JUST STARTED IT TO PULL OUT OF A PARKING SPACE WHILE ON VACATION.
ISSUE WITH DRAINED BATTERY/ VSA MODULATOR. VEHICLE LIGHTS WON'T TURN OFF WHEN SHUTTING OFF VEHICLE. KEY FOB WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE VEHICLE BATTERY WILL DIE. ONCE JUMPED, VEHICLE WILL DIE AGAIN. BATTERY HAS BEEN CHECKED AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO NEED REPLACING YET NO ACTIVE RECALL REPORTED.
SILVER BUTTON ON GEAR SHIFTER POPPED OUT AT SOME POINT WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. DID NOT NOTICE THIS HAPPENING UNTIL WE WENT TO PARK AND SHIFT GEARS. WE WERE ABLE TO PUT THE BUTTON BACK IN AND GET IT INTO PART. CONTINUES TO FALL OUT AND WE GOT STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD TRYING TO BACK INTO OUR DRIVEWAY. ONE TIME THE CAR WOULD NOT REGISTER THAT THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK (EVEN THOUGH DISPLAY INDICATED P). AND WOULD BEEP WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. IT'S GOING INTO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY FOR REPAIR. MULTIPLE OTHER COMPLAINTS FOUND ABOUT THIS EXACT ISSUE.
I WAS DRIVING WITH MY WIFE AS A PASSENGER ON A 4-LANE HIGHWAY (2 LANES IN EACH DIRECTION). TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT. WE WERE TRAVELLING AT ABOUT 45MPH IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE ABOUT 500-FEET FROM AN INTERSECTION WHEN I SIGNALED TO CHANGE LANES INTO THE LEFT LANE AS I WOULD BE MAKING A LEFT TURN AT THE INTERSECTION. AS WE WERE MIDWAY INTO THE LANE CHANGE, OUR AUTOMATIC COLLISION AVOIDANCE WARNING FLASHED UP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, BEEPED THE ALARM, AND IMMEDIATELY (AND UNEXPECTEDLY) APPLIED THE BRAKES! THE CAR BEHIND US JUST MISSED PLOWING INTO THE BACK OF US BECAUSE OF THE SUDDEN BRAKING FOR NO REASONS. THE WEATHER WAS GOOD AND JUST A BIT CLOUDY, SO WEATHER HAD NO BEARING IN THIS, AND THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC OR OBSTACLES NEAR OR IN FRONT OF US TO CAUSE A FALSE COLLISION IMPRESSION ON THE SENSORS. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE AND WE DID NOTIFY OUR HONDA DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THIS HAPPENS SOMETIMES, ESPECIALLY IN HEAVY RAINS WHEN THE SENSORS "SEE" A HEAVY RAIN AREA AS AN OBJECT. ON TWO PRIOR OCCASIONS WHEN THIS HAPPENED, AGAIN IN CLEAR WEATHER AND NO OBJECTS AROUND, WE WERE ALMOST STRUCK BY A VEHICLE BEHIND US. THIS IS SCAREY, AND I AM GLAD I PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO MY DRIVING AS IF I DID NOT, THIS SAFETY DEFECT WOULD KILL US.
LOUD NOISES IN BOTH REAR TIRES. TIRES SPEC FOR 80,000 BUT THE MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 26,767 MILEAGE.
I WAS DRIVING HOME WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ON MY DASH TURNED ON AND MY BRAKES DID NOT WORK SO I COULD STOP THE VEHICLE SO I SHIFTED INTO PARK TO FINALLY STOP THE CAR.
EMISSIONS ISSUE DETECTED, THEN EVENTUAL ERROR CODES DIAGNOSED AS P0172 AND P291F. REPLACED FUEL INJECTORS AND HIGH PRESSURE PIPE UNDER SERVICE BULLETINS 10=8-025, 18-027, AND 19-015. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED THROUGH A REDESIGN AND RECALL. FAILURE OF THIS COMPONENT COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL UNEXPECTEDLY, CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE.
