STEERING IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT. There is a popping/cracking sound that appears to be coming from the driver's side wheel assembly/strut area. Could this be the same problem as the CRV 2022-2025 Steering Gearbox recall, 24v744000?
The contact 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated to 10 MPH and stalled. The vehicle had restarted, and the contact was able to continue driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the temperature gauge was lower than normal. After receiving an unstated repair, the vehicle was slightly delayed and lagging while attempting to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel injector had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

Nothing happened - fortunately. I want to know why there's no remedy for this recall? Is Honda just waiting on a problem? I want my Mom to be safe and have no issues. Can you/Honda please work toward a speedy solution and keep us updated? This is my Mom's vehicle and she lives in Indiana. I'm her son and I live in South Carolina.
Informed at 5 dealerships that repair parts not available now and until until FALL 2024...car has 10,000miles and fearful of driving it
First incident: I was stopped at an intersection and when I proceeded to cross the intersection the automatic brake engaged. There was no one in front of me and the car behind me nearly crashed into my rear. The weather was clear and sunny. The second incident occurred two days ago. I was driving on my street and the brake engaged. It was raining. I contacted the dealer today (Sussman Honda at 1543 Easton Rd, Abington, PA 19001) and was told that this is "normal for ALL automatic braking systems" and not to worry.
I was driving and suddenly my car started beeping and flashing that I needed to brake. I felt my car slam to a stop in the middle of the road by itself. Thankfully there were no cars behind me or this could have resulted in a crash or serious injury.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the "Brake System", "Collision Mitigation System", "Road Departure Mitigation", "Adaptive Cruise Control" and the "Lane Keeping Assist" massages remained displayed along with an audible alarm. The cause of the failures was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 44,400.
was sent a recall from Honda on a fuel pump impeller module that was manufactured incorrectly. They claim they are having problems getting the part at this time but when they do they will contact me to bring in vehicle for repair. This notice was sent February 2024. Have heard nothing since. Claimed the part could arrive as late as the fall of 2024.
The car smelled of gas. The mechanic said the computer indicated that the fuel mixture was too rich. Upon inspection he found my oil even smelled of gas. He felt the car was unsafe to drive and at high risk of fire. The fuel injectors do not function properly. IDK how many complaints you have received but once I experienced it I found many reports of similar nature online so before something really bad happens hope it can be reviewed.
Initially we had check engine light on and we felt that the car had difficulty to start after stopped at traffic light. We had to restarted the engine to solve the stall problem. We took the car to a mechanic and he changed oxygen sensor and spark plugs but the problem came back. Then we received the recall letter realized it was exactly the same problem we had. The mechanic re-examined the car and confirmed that fuel pump was the problem. The recall letter told us to wait for replacement. Since we did not have another car we had to use it. On February 16, the situation became worse. We almost ran into crash on high way 95. The check engine light kept flashing and the car seemed to lose power in the middle of high way. We managed to pull over. It was very scary and it was lucky to avoid any harm in this incident.. Talking to Honda service was not helpful. They insisted on us to pay diagnosis fee of $195 to do the evaluation and tried to deny the third-party mechanic's opinion. We lost trust of their objectivity to do a fair check.
Earlier, I had raised a complaint on my vehicle where Automatic Emergency Break applied though there were no obstacles or objects in front of my vehicle. On [XXX] around [XXX] at the same spot [XXX], Matthews, NC 28105] where my other incident was reported 2 years ago was repeated again and sudden break applied though there were no objects in front of my vehicle. Luckily the other vehicle is little far behind my car, otherwise we would have hit by the car and have happened. I am my family including my toddler were really shocked with this sudden stop and luckily nothing had not happened, except a mental stress. We couldn't imagine what could have happened. May be god saved us. This was reported at [XXX], Matthews, NC 28105. There was an iron bridge to pass on, on the way to Michael's from Costco. There are some iron poles on the sides of the bridge, the sensor might have detected the poles on the sides of the bridge as humans/objects crossing the bridge and suddenly the brakes might have applied without any warnings. Just an assumption as the incident happened at the same spot and same time. With this another incident, I still doubt the security measures or the sensing features that were calculated for applying the AEB. I hope Honda will read this and come up with a better solution for owner's like us. Thank you! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
After 20-30 minutes of highway driving the steering wheel begins to stick and then presents a slight slack - always to the right - the problem becomes worse at higher speeds - i have been to two honda dealerships including where i purchased the car new - one dealership recommended a 4 wheel alignment - i had that done but it did not fix the issue - then the same honda dealer told me my rack and pinion was going out and they could replace it for $2,200.00 - all this began at about 75,000 miles - i then took the car back to the honda dealer from where i purchased the car - they told me a 4 wheel alignment would not fix the symptoms i described - they were also not able to replicate my problem and did not recommend a diagnostic test at this time as they charge $175.00 for that - i was told if it gets worse to bring the car back - further research has led me to honda forums where others are experiencing the same and similar issues - mainly with 2016-2017 honda civics - there have been no indicator or warning lights to help diagnose this issue - my 2018 honda crv does not have lane assist - it does have electronic power steering - thank you and have a nice day !

Dashboard Display screen glitches. Becomes inoperable. I took the car to the dealer and they ignored it. Causes safety issues when reversing, navigating in an unknown area, makes beeping noises, and cannot be reset without turning the car off and then back on. This has been happening intermittently since 2019.
Vehicle is flashing all kinds of repair needed signals. It is stalling and shutting off. It's not safe for me to drive. I'm elderly (disabled) and need to drive to get medicine and doctors appointments. The fuel pump is on recall and I can not wait until the fall to get the pump replaced. No Honda dealers have the pumps in stick yet. I need help ASAP. Thank you

Vehicle braked suddenly without stepping on the brake pedal. The vehicle then started to make beeping sounds. The vehicle is available for inspection. Luckily this happened in the evening and there were no cars in close proximity. This could have caused serious injury or death. This was the first occurrence. The vehicle has not yet been taken to the dealer. No inspections have been made. This was the first occurrence. No warning lamps were noticed. Driver was taken by surprise and first reaction was to look around for other vehicles. There were no other symptoms.
The automatic braking component has braked, repeatedly, when there is nothing to brake for. Today, I was approaching a green light, no one was in front of me, the lane was clear, but the car suddenly braked. Fortunately, the person behind me did not hit me. It was a hard full stop. This has happened often enough, now, that I think I should turn that feature off. In the past when this happened, I have called the dealership, Brandon Honda, Brandon, Florida, and was told it was because I has the windshield replaced with non manufacturer original equipment. So, I had the windshield replaced with a Honda original, which resulted in higher insurance premiums due to the cost of the windshield and the frequency of replacement. Even with the manufacturer's windshield, the braking persists and seems to be happening more often and with a harder stop

The car quit suddenly while picking up my child at school and would not start. Had to be towed to the honda dealership due it not running. No warning sign of it having any problems, nothing. This qas February 13th and has been sitting therr for over a month now. I have contacted the Honda service department twice and they can not give me an ETA on when my car will be fixed or when the fue pump will arrive and if that is the only thing wrong with my car. This is our main vehicle, I do have a courtesy car to drive but I am making car payments on a car that is not functioning.
On 2/10/2024 I was stopped waiting to put gas in my car when all of a sudden multiple lights lite up on my dash board (vehicle stability assist, vsa problems, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control problems, collision mitigation problems, road departure mitigation system problem, power steering (eps) problems, electric brake system problem, emission system problem, brake system problem, * all integral to safe driving for me. I was able to drive slowly to my mechanic and he was able to do a diagnostic assessment and it showed a code B1234 (Air Mix Control Motor Circuit (Driver's) Short. He was able to turn all the warning lights off. I am now a little afraid to use my car long distance until I can get assured that this will not happen again. In searching the internet I find that this is not an isolated occurrence. There are multiple complaints regarding this same issue.

*To be honest, I'm unsure of what systems are failing, but there are multiple. The dash shows Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA problem), Hill Start Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Power Steering (EPS) Problem, Electric Parking Brake Problem, Emissions System Problem, Brake System Problem. *These systems are integral to safe driving for me and my family, even though I can drive the vehicle. I cannot use cruise control, lane-keep assist, or brake hold, and the car is not handling like it was. It tends to be harder to control. * The warning lamps and messages are on and indicated in the first point. This happened on Monday while my wife was driving, and all those systems shut off. When she parked she did an online search of what the issue might be and found multiple YouTube videos of Honda owners for different models and years with the same problem. One remedy required a reboot of the electrical system in accessory mode. That worked for a day, but now the errors won't clear, and we're unable to use the vehicle's safety features.
Display unexpectedly switches to brightness setting and then blinks off and on constantly with loud noise then goes dark, and repeats flashing noise dark etc. controls do not stop it and must pull off if interstate and turn off vehicle and restart to make it stop. It is a huge distraction and very scary to experience. How is this not a safety concern for Honda? Others have experience in what I have read. Needs to be a recall before folks wreck. You should not have to stop your car to get the flashing to quit. Would love to upload video of the experience. This happens about 1 to 2 times time a month at least. And started with about 37k on CRV and still doing it at 64k. Only reported now cause I have read of others having same issue.

Driving down the road and all the sudden the CR-V warned brakes and automatically stopped the car while I was driving. Nothing in the road at all. This has now happened numerous times brought to Honda and they said nothing is wrong cause it didn’t do it when they drove it. This also has happened going down the interstate going 70 mph but luckily no accident.

I received a recall notice by mail in February 2024 that the cars fuel pump is a potential safety hazard and might have vehicle emissions issues that needs resolution. I have been trying to get the affected parts fixed by several Honda dealerships since I received the recall notice. The dealers do not have the parts, don't know when they will receive the parts and can't resolve the problem. I am told that the Honda Motor Company "trickles" out the required components need to resolve the issue and they don't know when they will get parts and can't schedule resolution due to insufficient parts. NO ONE can tell me when my safety issues will be resolved.

WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE IN JUNE OF 2023 LOST POWER/ACCELERATION - THE ENGINE LIGHT & ALL OTHER LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD LIT UP. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY SPEED DROPPED FROM 65 MPH TO LESS THAN 45 IN SECONDS. LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN TIME BEFORE A SEMI HIT US FROM BEHIND. THE CAR WAS STILL DRIVABLE UNDER 45 PMH. I DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE LOCATION (4 MILES) AND HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT IT WAS THE BATTERY AND CHARGED ME 215 FOR A BATTERY AND 160 TO RUN CODING AND CLEAR CODES. I DROVE AWAY, GOING TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY, AND HIT THE MAXIMUM SPEED OF 50MPH THE VEHICLE LOST POWER/ACCELERATION AGAIN, AND ALL DASH ENGINE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 MILES AWAY, AND MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE JUNE OF 2023. I DID PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY BELIEVE IT IS THE HEAD GASKETS. THEY FIXED THE ISSUE WITH THAT, AND AGAIN, THEY TEST-DROVE IT, AND IT IS STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. PURCHASED THE CAR BRAND NEW FROM THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN MY TOWN. THE CAR HAS ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE STAYING WARM IN THE VERY COLD MONTHS IN THE WINTER. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT EXPLAINS HONDA MOTORS ARE SO EFFICIENT THEY DON'T IDLE HIGH ENOUGH FOR THE CAR TO STAY WARM. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED FOR 8 MONTHS TO DATE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DOESN'T GIVE UPDATES OR EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IS GOING ON. WHITE SMOKE COMES OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN IT IS STARTED. OTHER THAN THAT, I CAN'T GET AN UPDATE FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AND HONDA BASICALLY PUTS IT BACK ON TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY WON'T SEEM TO HELP ME RESOLVE THE ISSUE EITHER, PUTTING IT BACK ON THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR NOT SUPPLYING THE WARRANTY COMPANY WITH THE DETAILS THEY NEED TO APPROVE ANY FURTHER WORK.
The contact's husband owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The vehicle began running rough Spring 2023 and all the lights on the dashboard lit up. The local mechanic did not identify any serious problem and the lights all going off seemed to be a separate issue since the whole dashboard was lit up. We continued driving it out of necessity and eventually it began stalling. Then we took it back to our mechanic who identified the fuel injectors as the issue and recommended that we take it to the dealership. We took it to the dealership and they charged $3000 for the fuel injector replacement and also did some minor recall repairs. When my husband drove it off the lot, it stalled again so he brought it back and identified that it still was not repaired. They then kept it for 2-3 more weeks and repaired the head gasket. We took it home and drove it for another 6 mths and then it stalled again when my husband was driving at 65mph on a bridge. He safely pulled over but the vehicle had trouble restarting as it had in Spring of 2023 from time to time when it was riding rough. This time there were no warning lights related to the issue. The dash now has some warning lights. We have not driven it since and the part for the fuel pump from Honda is not available until Fall 2024 so we are without a vehicle even though we paid for a new vehicle that we hoped would last us beyond 6 years.
I was unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. The dealers told me they didn’t have the parts necessary for my impeller until the end of this summer. However, the paper I received about my safety recall states that for the first appointment, which I made, will have my situation fixed within two months. The end of the summer is not two months. Moreover, when I made my first appointment on March 15, 2024, they initially cancelled it before I made another appointment to which they told me the parts would only be available at the end of the summer. If this isn’t fixed soon by the end of the summer, this highly raises my concern about the safety of driving this vehicle for both me and my family.

1. Fuel pump recall, received December 2023 - not done as of 8-20-24 2. If the engine dies we could have an accident or be stranded as Maine is a rural state. 3. No, replacement fuel pumps are available to the dealer yet. 4. See number 3 5. No warning lights as yet. The car is running fine but for how long? I have been waiting to get my fuel pump replaced by Honda since February 2024. I think six months of waiting is enough. I have been dealing with Charlie’s Honda of Augusta, Maine (448 Western Ave, Augusta, ME 04330) where I bought my Honda. The service department keeps telling me that the parts have not been released for the recall. I got the same answer from Lee Honda of Auburn, Maine (809 Center St, Auburn, ME 04210) Why? I can purchase a retail replacement fuel pump. In addition, the service department wants to charge me for a full engine diagnostic which costs $150 to install the fuel pump. I thought recall costs and labor were charged back to the manufacturer. I am driving an unsafe vehicle and it is unsettling that the engine may quit at any time. We travel quite a bit on the Maine Turnpike and back roads of Maine. I would hate to have the engine quit on me during the winter leaving me stranded or worse yet have the engine quit in heavy traffic causing an accident. Therefore, I intend to get the fuel pump replaced by my regular mechanic at my expense so I can drive without worrying about the defective OEM Honda fuel pump giving out leaving me stranded. I do feel that Honda should reimburse the repair as I have waited long enough for them to do the right thing. Please do what you can to help.
I received a safety recall in February 2024 about a faulty fuel pump. Then I got another notice saying the parts would be here this fall as do they are not. The safety consequences are a stall while driving increasing the risk of a crash or injury. I am increasingly worried about driving my car. I don’t understand why it is taking so long to resolve this issue. Honda is making fuel pumps for their new cars and this safety recall is not a priority for them . I
I have been waiting a year for parts for recall 23V-858 and requested that it be resolved each time I take my vehicle in for service. Is it likely that it will be repaired while I still own this vehicle?
All of the warning lights on my dash associated with the Advanced Driver Assistance system listed above come on and off randomly. This has happened numerous times over the last 18 months. I've been to the dealership twice and have also seen numerous complaints online. There doesn't seem to be a certain fix for the issues.
I purchased a used 2018 CRV in January/February 2024. It came with a recall notice. I have been trying to get it fixed, but two different dealerships have told me that the part is not available and I need to wait for a second recall notice. This is concerning and I do not believe I am being told the truth regarding the availability of parts needed for them to comply with the recall repair.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle stalled with the brakes, ABS, ACC Adjust Control Failure, and Collision Mitigation System Failure warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to drive a short distance to work. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with a fuel pump failure, related to the open recall. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact's daughter owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while the driver was driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The contact stated that the driver decelerated and continued driving at slower speeds. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V663000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not included. Additionally, the dealer informed the contact that the part was not available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had become a recurring failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to partially cover the cost of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power, decelerated to 7 MPH, and started jerking while driving. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and parked the vehicle for five minutes. The contact then restarted the vehicle and several unknown warning lights became illuminated; however, the contact was able to operate the vehicle as needed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My vehicle stalled out while driving on the highway, with all electrical components going haywire and the vehicle stopped accelerating or maintaining speed. After being towed 61 miles, my mechanic says that it is not making a loud noise when he tries to test-drive it, had no power, and returned MANY error codes, including one for the turbo. Mechanic believes that the turbo failed and triccered all electrical systems to go haywire. Honda dealership service tech confirms (without commitment, as they did not personally examine it) that the mechanics explanation makes sense and my experience describes what would happen if the turbo failed. In addition to putting me in an unsafe situation on the highway, this malfunction may end up costing me thousands between parts, labor, and towing costs. Research on the problem tells me this has happened to many other 2017-2017 CRV owners and Honday has simply failed to address the issue. UNACCEPTABLE.

Rack an pinion is breaking. This represents a safety risk while driving since the steering wheel at times does not have full control of the vehicle. Two local mechanic shops diagnosed rack and pinion defects and informed that it has been a recurrent issue in my car model.
