The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while idling at a stop light, there was a loud pop coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the rear glass had fractured into several pieces without impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who confirmed that the glass needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was 102,000.
The driver side sun visor will not stay in a stowed position. Instead, it flops down and blocks my view of the road. It has become progressively worse. I have tried moving the visor to the side position so I can see out of the front windshield but that creates another safety issue because it is so loose that it literally swings when I turn or go over any bumps and hits me causing another major safety distraction. By not being able to see without obstruction, my daily drive is much more hazardous. I've shown this to the dealer who said that the issue is "VERY COMMON" and that the failure is due to the internal parts of the visor simply breaking and rendering the car visor to be useless for its' intended purpose and dangerous as it now obstructs view and swings uncontrollably when car is in motion. This is now a constant safety hazard.
Sun visors are extremely hard to move. May require two hands.
Driving on freeway when a loud noise came from driver side window and the window had completely shattered. The whole window was completely gone by the time I was able to realize what happened. It was like it broke all at once.
The driver side sun visor became very difficult to operate and when trying to place in back in the stored / upright position it will not go into place and hangs down 2-4" that can cause visibility problems especially for taller drivers. This is a very common defect on several Honda vehicles as seen on Honda Forums or a Google search of Honda Sunvisor problem.
The 2018 Honda Crv driver side mirror replacement parts are.too magnified than the original mirror when purchased the vehicle. The passenger side mirror is this correct mirror as originally purchased the vehicle. It's a safety concern as it is constant balancing of looking into a magnified glass mirror and then a more distant one and causes dizziness. Honda can replace the part but the part is the incorrect (too magnified) mirror and should be an expedited recall.
Windshield washer nozzle freezes just below 32, resulting in limited view. Weather was clear, at or just below 32F. Started with driver sider and later on both side froze, unable to see on freeway as other cars in front sprays snow melting water.
A multitude of cracks forming with in 2 years. First one happened with zero Contact to the windshield. Others when Ice landed on windshield. Another when barely moving and a small cack noise and a small crack appeared.
The contact called on behalf of parents who owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while parked she was pulling up the rear passenger window, from the driver's side control window panel. The contact stated the nephew had his head out the window at the time she pulled the switch. The nephew's head got caught, but there were no injuries; however, the contact stated the window should have an auto-sensor detecting feature for when items were in the way of the window before completely rolling up. The contact recreated the issues with the driver's rear window and the same issue reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of this failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000
