The driver seatbelt failed to lock when rear end collision occurred and drivers face slammed into steering wheel. The steering wheel airbag failed to deploy when the car rear ended the vehicle in front of them. Drivers safety was jeopardized and now has severe concussion. Repair center stated seatbelt showed zero signs of locking and air bag should’ve deployed. Vehicle was inspected by insurance and was deemed a complete loss. No warning lights sounds or messages went off when vehicle was rear ended and front end collision.
The passenger side seat weight sensor assembly failed. It is available for inspection. The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by a certified Honda dealer. The airbag light stayed on beginning in December 2023. The SRS warning light came on in March 2024. This defect was subject to a recall of CRV’s manufactured from 2020 to 2022. We believe the 2019 vehicles were affected also and should have been part of the recall. Honda has recognized this problem and has reimbursed us $800 of the $1758.68 of the repair bill.

When passengers are sitting in the rear seats, the driver side shoulder belt crosses the buckle of the center passenger's belt. This makes the center belt difficult to release in an emergency. I brought the car to the dealer and the analysis was that four other cars of this model were identical. I guess it's designed in.
Travelling appoximently 25-30mph when the vehicle in front of me, towing a small camper, stopped suddenly to avoid a suddenly stopped vehicle in front of them, causing me to rear-end them at appoximently 15-20mph. My airbags did not deploy
My wife was on her way to work and she hit a deer. The damage estimate is approximately 5000.00 to the right front end. With that much damage the air bags should have deployed but failed to do so
15 mm bolt head that holds driver side seatbelt in place fell off without warning or manipulation of bolt. This occurred when seatbelt was being removed while vehicle was at a stop.

When the car turns on, the message of “passenger air bag off”. I weigh over 100 pounds and sit properly. When the car was under warranty, I took the car to the dealer for this air bag problem. After waiting over 3 hours, I was told to come back and the part was not available. I thought there was a switch to turn on air bags, but I left the dealer in Avondale, AZ and went home. The problem continues.
VERY UNSAFE SEATBELT CONFIGURATION. THE 2019 HONDA CRV IS ADVERTISED AS A FIVE PASSENGER VEHICLE. WITH THE CONFIGURATION OF THE SEATBELTS IN THE BACKSEAT THE SEATBELTS HAVE TO CROSSOVER EACH OTHER TO SEAT FIVE PEOPLE. WHAT I MEAN BY CROSSOVER EACH OTHER IS THE THE ACTUAL BUCKLE YOU SNAP THE SEATBELT INTO ARE REVERSED SO IN ORDER TO USE THE MIDDLE OR FIFTH SEAT BELT IT HAS TO CROSSOVER OR UNDER ONE OF THE OTHER SEATBELTS INTO TO TO SECURE THEM. I SPOKE TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THE CAR WAS DESIGNED THAT WAS AND THERE WAS NOTHING TO CORRECT. ESSENTIALLY IT IS A FOUR PASSENGER CAR UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK BUCKLING PEOPLE IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN UNSAFE WAY.
I HIT A LARGE DEER ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT A SPEED OF 60 TO 65 MPH. THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I HAVE PICTURES. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE 2 PEOPLE IN THE CAR, NO ONE WAS HURT. *TR
I JUST HAD A HIGH CAR ACCIDENT AND MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY BUT THE OTHER CAR DID. MY CAR IS A TOTAL.

RE: NHTSA RECALL # 19V-383. MANUFACTURER RECALL # R4S DATED MAY 21, 2019. STEERING WHEEL CORE REPAIR. MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER, FLOW HONDA OF BURLINGTON, NC STILL DOES NOT HAVE PARTS/TOOLS FOR THE REPAIR AS OF SEPTEMBER 18,2019. THEY STATE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ESTIMATE WHEN PARTS/TOOLS WILL BE AVAILABLE. AS OF SEPTEMBER 24, 2019 I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS RELATING TO THIS RECALL. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE I FEEL IT IS TAKING A LONG TIME FOR THE REPAIR TO BE PERFORMED FOR A RECALL OF THIS MAGNITUDE.
MY HUSBAND AND I WERE SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT OF OUR 2019 CR-V AND NOTICED THAT THE SEAT BELT INSERTS ON THE SEAT DIRECTLY BEHIND THE PASSENGER AND MIDDLE SEAT WERE IN THE WRONG POSITION. IN ORDER TO BUCKLE THE MIDDLE SEAT WE HAVE TO PULL DOWN THE STRAP FROM THE TOP AND CONNECT ONE BUCKLE DIRECTLY NEXT TO THE SEAT BELT INSERT FOR THE LEFT PASSENGER SEAT BELT. SO WHEN WE TRY BUCKLING BOTH THE MIDDLE SEAT AND THE REAR LEFT PASSENGER SEAT BELT THEY ARE TWISTED AROUND ONE ANOTHER, MAKING IT UNSAFE TO TRAVEL WITH THREE PASSENGERS IN THE BACK AT A TIME. WE HAVE GONE BACK TO HONDA IN ORDER TO GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED BUT WERE UNABLE TO DUE TO THE FACT THAT ALL OF THE 2019 CR-V MODELS WERE LIKE THAT. WE BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. WE OFTEN NEED TO TRAVEL WITH THREE PEOPLE IN THE BACK SEAT AND THIS IS TRULY AN INCONVENIENCE FOR US, ON TOP OF IT SIMPLY NOT BEING SAFE. WE DIDN'T THINK WE'D HAVE TO CHECK THE BACK SEAT SEATBELTS WHEN WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, WE'VE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE LIKE THIS IN ANY OF OUR PREVIOUS CARS.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
