04/10/2026 at around 8am and 04/14/2026 at around 7pm - At both times, car stopped at red light. Auto start-stop shut off car engine. When light turned green and stepped on gas, engine shut down and warning lights came on. Car was still in “drive.” Had to push “park” button and then started engine.
I was traveling over HighwayXX headed toward [XXX] , traveling has seen a 50 miles an hour when my 2019 passport Auto braked without me putting my foot on the brake. when this happened, the Car Fish tailed towards the center divide, almost hit the cement divide, and I had to correct my steering four times in order to avoid traffic, or crashing into a forest of mature trees. Because of these multiple corrections that I had to make, I ended up swerving in and out of both lanes and my car was out of control for a significant amount of time. It almost hit the center divide of Highway 17. At one point, I was at 180° angle, almost going the other direction. The auto braking of this vehicle, almost got me killed. MY 2019 HONDA PASSPORT WITH JUST OVER 100K MILES JUST HAD COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING FINE AND HAS REGULARLY HAD RANDOM HARD SHIFTS SINCE THE DAY I GOT IT AND IVE BROUGHT THE ISSUE UP TO THE DEALER EVERY TIME IT IS BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE. THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. AFTER JUST DRIVING TO GET MY CHILD FROM SCHOOL AND COMING HOME PARKING MY CAR AND RUNNING INSIDE THE CAR WAS FINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS SYSTEM LIGHTS OR WARNINGS THAT SOMETHING WOULD GO WRONG. BUT I GO BACK OUT 10 MINUTES LATER TO TURN IT ON AND THE ENGINE STARTS AND IDLES FINE BUT THERE IS AN ERROR ON THE SCREEN SAYING TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND THE CAR WONT GO INTO ANY GEAR. I HAD THE CAR TOWED AND THE DEALER DOES NOT YET KNOW HOW MUCH ITS GOING TO COST. THEY HAVE HAD IT FOR 3 DAYS NOW AND WONT TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION FAILED, HOW IT FAILED, OR WHAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED IT. I WAS ONLY TOLD THEY ARE WAITING TO HEAR FROM PARTS AND ITS GOING TO BE PRICY! FOR SUCH A YOUNG CAR IT SHOULD NOT NEED THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AT THIS POINT IN ITS LIFE. THIS IS A MANUFACTURE ISSUE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED BY HONDA. THIS WILL CAUSE MAJOR ISSUES FOR PEOPLE LIVING THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. I DONT HAVE MONEY TO PAY FOR SUCH AN EXPENSIVE FIX! I JUST PAID IT OFF.
The part that malfunctioner is the auto start from stop. I was at the Park and XXX light In [XXX] . My car would not start after I got to the stoplight. The auto start did not work. Important to share, this happens at least two or three times a day in my vehicle. Many times when I come My vehicle will not start on its own. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My instrument cluster lite up all kind of problems like road departures mitigation systems problems, transmission problems, brakes system problems, collision mitigation systems problems, auto high beams problems, lane keeping assist problems and adaptive cruise control problems.
Radio/Screen/Back-up camera do not turn on or turn off randomly and unexpectedly when driving. Usually receive a crackling sound and a MOST off network message before black screen. Upon initial start up of vehicle, a driver sets car to reverse relying and expecting a functional view of rear camera on screen. This issue makes backing up safety features unreliable.
Every so often, while waiting at a light, once I try to press the gas, the car will stall and loses power. It takes me turning the car off and back on several times before getting the car to stay on and accelerate.
My vehicle has experienced multiple dangerous incidents where it shuts down or shifts into neutral while driving. This has happened on highways, tunnels, busy on-ramps and main streets. The car loses power and requires restarting, which takes about 30 seconds. On a busy highway or street, this is enough time for a serious accident to occur if other vehicles cannot switch lanes on time. This has happened multiple times with my child in the car, and me being currently pregnant. The vehicle has never given me a warning prior. The issue appears to be related to the Auto start/stop system and/or electrical drivetrain controls. the vehicle is unsafe to operate because the driver can forget to disable auto start/stop and the car can suddenly lose power in traffic. There was also a separate incident (in between the multiple incidents above) where I was on the highway, my car accelerated, brakes wouldn't work, and my foot wasn't on the gas. the car then shifted to neutral and the only way I could stop was by shutting it off and moving to the breakdown lane. There have been two repair attempts. The first repair was done in 2024 after the initial loss-of-power incident related to the auto start/stop feature. In this repair, the battery was replaced and I was told a full diagnostic was run and the car was safe to drive. On 11/11/25 the serious incident with acceleration/ loss of brake function on the highway occurred. A full diagnostic was run and the transmission was replaced under warranty. However, a month after the transmission replacement, the loss of power issue returned. It has now been at least 4 incidents since the transmission was changed. I reported this to Honda corporate and received a case number, but despite multiple attempts to receive an update over the past 2 months, I have not been contacted by Honda, and no resolution has been provided. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and no longer trust further repairs.
Even after recall repairs the vehicle continues to randomly display error messages with vehicle systems while driving. It has been cleared several times and battery changed but continues to return. This model has serious issues with the electrical components.
My Fuel pump recall was fixed on 06/17/2021 at 40543 Miles. On 12/8/22 at 56361 miles, my vehicle wouldn’t start and I got the battery replaced with the assumption that it was the battery. On 4/30/25 at 102,298 miles, I got my spark plugs replaced in hopes to resolve excessive cranking/ hard start issues I’ve been having since the recall. To my fault, I should’ve made a bigger complaint on the hard start issues but didn’t think anything of it thinking it’s normal. On 12/30/2025, at 119,186 miles, I went in for a routine maintenance oil change, but replaced my battery based on recommendation also on hopes to resolve excessive cranking issues I’ve been having. On 1/3/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start when I went out of town. Main reason I took it into service the week before was to make sure I don’t have any issues when I’m out at a foreign place and it did at a sketchy gas station putting my family in danger. On 1/7/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I took it in to Atlantic Coast Honda on 1/9/26 and they were able to replicate the issue but was told that they couldn’t do anything else. I complained to them that I didn’t feel comfortable driving my family around and also driving to far places for work but was told my vehicle has tested better since it was replicated when I brought it in. On 2/20/26, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I brought it in on 2/21/26 for them to look at it again. I get a notice on 2/23/26 on the service recommended, and it’s to replace the fuel pump for $1398.71. I told them that I refuse to pay that amount when it was replaced based on a recall, and the part replaced is not even over 100,000 miles. Also the fact that I’ve had issues on starting the vehicle for a while and I’ve committed to replacing the battery twice, changing out the spark plugs in hopes to resolve my vehicle issues. This situation has put me in a bind putting me, my family, and other drivers in danger when I drive a vehicle that might stop working any time.
The safety features connected to the camera and vehicle sensors have all stopped working. Every time I start my car, multiple lights come on and dashboard messages that cruise control, lane assist and collision prevention systems are not working. The dealership quoted me $2300 to fix and said new sensors/computer system would need to be put in and calibrated. I tried putting a new battery in, which unfortunately did not help. I have heard of multiple other Passport drivers having this issue.
Forward collision, Adaptive cruise control and all enhanced safety features related to the camera and front of vehicle sensor stopped working. Vehicle warning lights and messages do light up for every start. Only option has been to have a $2,500 repair bill for a 6 year old vehicle to install a new camera system by the dealer. This a well known manufacturer issue among owners. Infotainment system is losing network connections and completely going black. The system is only available for brief stretches after restarting the vehicle and will go black while driving. There is a known recall for the coaxial cable (MOST connection loss) but apparently my vehicle is not part of this recall. Again this is a well known manufacturer issue with this year and model vehicle. Appears to be a wiring harness issue or improper wiring installation by manufactuer.
The lane keep assist camera internally faulted and intermittent tries to work but will immediately fault out. Lights will show for adaptive cruise, lane departure, and collision avoidance. Code shows internal fault and is shown in bulletin to replace. Happened begining of 2025 like most other people.
Front camera that is needed for all of the lane sensing, Cruise control, lane keep assist malfunctions. This camera is needed to operate all of these safety systems. I’ve seen many blogs with drivers saying they have a similar issue. The fix is $1800.
TIMING BELT TENSIONER - started leaking at only 31K miles. Honda has denied the request to fix this for free of cost. Dealer is demanding $2000 to replace the 6 Cyl Timing Belt Package. Per the link below, this is a common issue with Honda cars (94,000 card recalled so far): [XXX] . I am [XXX] with limited driving needs, and my 2019 Honda Passport Touring is not drivable now. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I own a 2019 Honda Passport. There is a safety concern when it comes to THE IDLE STOP feature. If I do not immediately turn this feature off after starting the vehicle, the car will shut off at a traffic light and stall. It takes up to a minute for the vehicle and operator to register that the vehicle is no longer operable. The vehicle must be manually put into park, restarted, and then put into drive before the vehicle can be driven. This has happened so many times that this stop feature is now destroying my starter and will have to be replaced immediately to avoid being stranded at an intersection or somewhere not safe to exit the vehicle. My 18-year-old daughter had a panic attack, not knowing what to do, and became very upset when she was not able to drive after a light turned green. Vehicles behind her continuously honk at her and drive aggressively around her. The Honda Stop Idle must be listed as a recall immediately to eliminate a potential fatal risk due to a misunderstanding at an intersection. My daughter refuses to drive this vehicle until the feature is repaired. I feel Honda should be held responsible for a feature that is not necessary to operate a vehicle. It's an option that is an inconvenience to the owner/operator. I am looking for this part to be added to a recall so that I can have the part replaced at no cost to me.
My car has been stalling and not starting back up once turned off. It does it every almost every instance at startup. I can no longer use the auto start/stop feature on my car due to it stalling a few times in the middle of the road. I had to turn the car off and attempt to turn it back on. There is a recall on the fuel pump and fuel injectors but every dealership I have called stated that there are no available fixes while online they state there are available repairs.
Vehicle has frequent and persistent “Front Camera Fault” warnings appearing on the dashboard, which result in continuous alerts and the disabling of key safety features including the Brake System, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM). These warnings occur under all driving conditions, including clear weather and unobstructed roads. The dashboard fault warnings appear on nearly every vehicle start, and all Honda Sensing feature indicators flash continuously while the vehicle is in operation. Because continuous multiple warning lights flash on dashboard, it is difficult to determine which alerts are genuine and which are false. This is thus a serious safety concern that warrants a formal recall. A diagnostic scan by dealer informs an error code of U3000-49 that is front camera needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,900, excluding a non-refundable diagnostic charge of approximately $190. Due to the exorbitant cost if no extended warranty purchased, owners reporting this do not proceed with the repair and continue to experience this ongoing safety issue.
On 10/16/2025 at 1:30 AM, I was driving home from work on the I-94 freeway in Wisconsin from my work in Franklin, WI to my home in Union Grove, WI. I was driving at the speed limit, which was 70 Mph. I started to hear a ticking sound coming from the engine, and then the check engine light started to flash. The car then began a rapid speed decrease. I started to move from to the right-hand side of the road when the car stopped ticking and the check engine light went out and began to accelerate again. The sudden deceleration and acceleration on a major highway that had many other vehicles around me was very dangerous. I drove the car to my home since it seemed to be working again. I then had it towed to Zeigler Honda in Racine, WI, on the morning of 10/16/2025, to find out what the cause of the incident was. The Authorized Honda dealership (Zeigler) inspected the car and found that the crank bearing for the second cylinder had failed. They said the engine was not repairable. Before this incident, the car had no other problems. All required Honda maintenance was performed on the car, which I purchased new. The week before the incident, I had a routine oil change done at the Zeigler dealership with a passing inspection on the car during the oil change on 10/10/2025.
while driving the instrument panel went off for several seconds there is a recall for 2019 Passports for this issue but not my VIN
My front windshield camera. Yes Because of my camera having glitches my car would randomly brake no my front camera won't work at all and my dashboard looks like a christmas light show with all the warning lights It has been confirmed by a independent service center No No,no warning lamps no messages or other symptoms of the problem prior.to the failure everything happened at all once on oct3 2025
Condensation has appeared inside the assembly with no visible signs of cracking or damage. Only one headlight is affected
The CMBS alerts braking despite there being no obstacles in front or around the vehicle. Also, the at stop lights when the engine shuts off, on several occasions the car has completely turned off and will not let you do anything (place in park or drive) until you manually start it again.
At random times, the dashboard will show "BRAKE" repeatedly when there is nothing obstructing the road or any other vehicles nearby. We have also experienced at least a half dozen times when the car will flash that and engage the brakes stopping us in the middle of traffic. The braking is abrupt and will yank you harshly in the seatbelt. I have taken it to the dealership twice and Honda has said nothing can be found in the computer and "the next time it happens to take a pic or video". That is impossible to do and is now happening enough where I considering getting rid of the vehicle but hate to pass that on to another person. When happening in traffic, I cant imagine explaining to emergency response that I was rear ended when the car smashed on the brakes but Honda has no way of confirming that. I dont know what else to do and am grateful to see others are experiencing this and informing you all of this safety issue!
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving 80 MPH on the interstate, the instrument cluster briefly went blank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the instrument cluster and cable needed to be replaced. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V439000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
The auto-start/stop function sometimes fails to restart the engine after coming to a complete stop. Vehicle is left stranded in a traveling lane.
I had 5 lights comes on 2 days ago. Airbag system problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation problem, high beam problem, and adaptive cruise control problem. The dealership said that it was a camera issue and everything except the air bag issue is covered with my warranty. It’s currently in the shop getting fixed. Also currently has a recall for the fuel pump that they never have the part. Still waiting to see if they are able to get that part. This recall has been there since 12/2021 and they haven’t been able to get the parts.
On multiple occasions Lost connection on screen display and scre goes black preventing me from using back up camera.
The Auto Idle stop, turned off the car at a busy intersection, I was able to restart the car and took it in to the dealer. They installed a new battery, which has been working for about a year, then yesterday the AIS caused the car to stop again at a stop light and again today when I was waiting to make a left turn. Each time it has stopped it has taken longer to get the car to restart. This is a very scary situation when driving in traffic with my grandchild in the car. It seems unlikely that I need another new battery. The car only has 55,000 miles. I will be taking the car in again, but doing my research on this issue I find it is a very big problem with this model of car, so I wanted to add my issues to the count, so hopefully something will be done to solve the problem before there is a major crash.
First issue was I was in need of a transmission while only having the car for 1.5 years. I reached out to Honda corporate and I was unable to receive any help with goodwill. Secondly I am now experiencing issues with my alarm going off suddenly, and frequently. The dash board lights up and flickers. Upon doing research I have found that 2019 Honda passport has had major issues with transmissions, keyless modules controls and electronic issues. In addition my radio keeps going off and it says connection is lost. This has also been a very known and common issues upon doing research on the 2019 Honda passport There’s different dates for events. I will be able to email my invoice for my transmission
Hello, I have put 3 batteries in this vehicle so far and it is a 2019 model year. In April, the car died while my wife was stopped at a light in the middle of town. I could not do anything...put it in gear..nothing...could not even open the door locks. I had to crawl into the back of the vehicle over the seats to get to the booster cable in very rear of the car. I was able to boost the battery and get it started after watching 100's of cars drive directly by me and around me while the car was stuck. It was a little dangerous. An automotive shop replaced the battery. the manufacture date on the battery is 2/25. My wife went the start the vehicle today...6-19-25 and the battery was dead again. There is something wrong here! I looked at the website for recalls and the only thing that comes up is the fuel pump recall which I tried to schedule several months ago and they did not have the part. Please make Honda expand this recall and make them responsible for this problem until we are sure it is fixed. This really should be covered at no cost. thank you! May 5, 2025, I took the Honda 2019 Passport to Bend Honda, Bend Oregon for three items. First an oil change. There were two recalls, MOST and the fuel pump. Neither American Honda nor Bend Honda sent any letter stating part were available. The workmanship appears as though a "PIG" worked inside the car. Mud, dirt, bits of leaves, etc. were found. There are some scrapes on the driver side panel from someone's foot. The windows were down when I received the car. It must of be left outside the dealership overnight because of a gasoline leak. On the way home I had to drive with the windows part way down because of the fumes. The Passport is inside my garage and several times I've opened the doors to vent out the gasoline fumes. The fuel pump is either installed incorrectly or the interior had a large spill of gasoline while removing the fuel pump. Could be the wrong pump? The fumes should not be this terrible.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that the failure also occurred while shifting to park. The contact made several attempts to restart the vehicle while opening and closing the door. The vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired under the recall. The contact stated that approximately one and a half months later, the failure reoccurred. The contact heard a hard shift before the failure started. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.

Vehicle stuck in neutral at stop light, unable to turn off or move vehicle for several minutes. This has happened THREE different times.
Car won’t turn back on after coming to a complete stop at a red light or stop sign. It has happened multiple times and I have taken it to the dealership a few years ago and they couldn’t help me out. The car goes into neutral mode and I have to completely turn the car off and restart it. It keeps happening so I have to turn the idle stop button off when I plan to drive anywhere. It happens off and on.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and advised the contact the parts were currently only available for consumers that had experienced a failure related to the recall. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the transmission was shifting hard. The Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, transmission, and auto high beam warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a transmission flush was performed; however, the failure persisted. The dealer performed a diagnostic scan and retrieved DTC: U0104 and U0104-00. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,200.
Approximately a month ago several warning lights started turning on. These included Adaptive Cruise control Collision Mitigation Lane Keep Assist Road Departure Mitigation High Beam Detection When I brought the car to the dealer for a diagnosis they informed me the windshield camera and possibly the radar as well would need to be replaced. The products were not under warranty and the cost to replace them is exorbitant. These are vital components of the safety system in this car and should be replaced at the dealer cost.
I have had several incidents where my car does not restart after auto-idling at a stop light. When there is a delay in restarting, a warning flashes briefly that there is an issue with the collision mitigation system. On some occasions, it fails to restart completely and I have to turn off the car, open the door to reset everything, then close the door to restart the car. I have had it inspected by Honda several times and was most recently told it needed a software update, but it has continued to happen since the software update.
Upon engine start, dashboard lights appear that warn of the following safety issues detected: - Collision Mitigation Braking System - Lane Keeping Assist System - Adaptive Cruise Control - Road Departure Mitigation Diagnostic scan shows an error code of U3000-49 indicating a front camera issue. The error codes began in Spring 2025 and are disturbing making driving less secure but it is my primary vehicle
Description: I have a concern that I will follow-up with a letter via USPS. Imagine driving your 2019 Honda Passport on an Interstate, Speed Limit is set at 70; your speed is 75; you're in the middle of the three lanes of travel; and your vehicle suddenly decelerates and every warning the vehicle is equipped with start giving alerts in rapid succession. This is what happened to me on [XXX] at approximately [XXX]. What is concerning is that this exact same thing happened April 2023 and I was told it was the Idle Control Sensor. The dealership that sold me the vehicle was gracious enough to let me bring it to them for repair, without charging the full cost of the part but, labor cost I incurred. When a consumer purchases a vehicle, the second most expensive purchase in one's lifetime, it is implied that outside of normal and routine maintenance, the car has been assessed and inspected for drivability. Being that this is the second occurrence, I am questioning if this vehicle was thoroughly inspected for this issue? I had my vehicle towed to the Greensboro Honda Dealership, 3633 W. Wendover Ave., Greensboro NC 27407. Although my faith and loyalty to the Honda brand has diminished, the customer service provided by Ms. Karen was comforting and reassuring. She understood my concerns and was phenomenal in letting me know what to expect. Surprising for a weekend as, most employees are not wanting to work. The reason for this email is two fold, notification of the issue and hoping that Honda will take accountability financially and resolve whatever "root" issue(s) that could be cause. Thank you and if my life has any significance to you, I hope to hear from you regarding this serious concern. Ever since I purchased this vehicle in April of 2024, I've noticed that the forward collision mitigation system seems to see and respond to things which aren't in front of the vehicle. It seems like this system is watching the lane to the left of my vehicle, more than the lane which I am in, which causes the over-reactions, (but also means that the adaptive cruise control is less reliable about slowing when traffic ahead of me, in my lane, slows.) This has only rarely resulted in brake activation. Generally, it's just the warning which comes up on the screen. This happens most times I drive it, and I just live with it. I have had it into the local Honda dealer (Ken Garff Honda Downtown) to be checked out, and they say it's fine.
The Idle-Stop system engages as expected when the vehicle comes to a stop, but the engine fails to restart when I release the brake pedal. This leaves me stranded in traffic and vulnerable to collisions, especially in high-traffic areas like intersections. The car has completely stalled and remains frozen for at least 3 minutes. Instrument panel lights up and says to depress pedal fully and press the start button. Another message says something about being in neutral and then to put it in park. I'm doing what it says and I cannot get the car to start. I have a green light and I'm stuck in an intersection where opposing traffic has a green light as well. People are honking at me and nervous because of the unpredictibilty of my car. - Frequency: This occurs at least 1x/month for the past 65 months (lifetime of the vehicle) - Conditions: Occurs during normal driving conditions, typically in stop-and-go traffic. - Impact: This issue has resulted in significant delays and near-misses with other vehicles, posing a clear safety hazard. The vehicle has been evaluated by a Honda dealer regarding Idle-Stop system malfunction specifically on the following dates October 1st, 2020, February 2nd 2023, March 16th, 2023 May 11th 2023, November 7th 2024 and January 9th 2025. The vehicle was found to be in normal working order and multiple times I was told to disengage the auto idle stop (press the button) to prevent that from happening. There was a recall for idle-stop software update which failed to repair the issue. This has been a persistent problem and the above dates by no means reflects the only times that the engine fails to restart after auto-stopping.
This issue has happened three times. The first two times, I attempted to accelerate while driving on the highway and the engine momentarily lost power. I would say the events lasted 3 - 5 seconds. The third time, the engine lost power while I was driving on the highway and the vehicle never regained enough power to go over 26 miles an hour - with the accelerator depressed to its maximum limit. Fortunately, I was near my exit, so I exited the highway and drove the car 4 miles to my destination. This is the only time out of the 3 instances a flashing "Check Engine" light came on. I shut the car off, went to my appointment and then restarted the vehicle approximately 30 minutes later. No other issues were noted on the 3 hour return trip. This last event happened on [XXX]. I took the car into the service department at Ken Vance Honda, in Eau Claire, WI on January 29, 2025 and they were unable to find any stored codes in the computer related to the issue. The service advisor said he has heard of this issue several times. The estimate to fix the issue was roughly $850.00 with parts accounting for $501.74 I researched this issue online and found several references to it. The first is a post from a online group for Honda Odyssey owners. One post in that thread leads to another thread for Honda Ridgeline owners. The contact owns a 2019 Honda Passport. The contact stated that the warning lights on the instrument panel were illuminated and blinking. The lights had to be manually turned off. The message that the camera was obstructed was displayed. The maintenance past due, road departure litigation, ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), and LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System) were displayed. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V439000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brakes and camera were faulty. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, who informed the contact about replacing the battery and performing a scan. The battery was replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again, where it was diagnosed with a loss of communication with the cruise control, a driver support system, a dirty camera, and a radar antenna failure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The service manager eventually declined to service the vehicle, and the contact was referred to another location. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
