2024 Hyundai Palisade Body & Structure Problems

The paint on my make and model vehicle has a widespread paint adhesion defect, not isolated to road debris damage. I have reported the issue to my dealer and to Hyundai Customer Care and I have been told that it would not fall under a warranty repair. The paint delamination is extensive enough to lead to structural rust if it is not repaired.

I was driving and the sunroof glass randomly combusted. Nothing hit it, and there were no other cars around.

The windshield (visibility system) on my 2025 Hyundai Tucson (VIN: [XXX] ) was cracked on [XXX]. I immediately contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle (in New York), and later local Hyundai dealers in Florida where I now reside. I was informed that the windshield is on a nationwide OEM backorder with no estimated time of arrival (ETA). As of August 6, 2025, the part remains unavailable, and the vehicle has been inoperable for 57 days, parked in my garage. The crack makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, and due to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as lane keeping assistance and forward collision warning, the windshield requires proper OEM calibration post-installation, which cannot be performed until the correct part is secured. The issue was confirmed by multiple Hyundai dealers and 3rd-party glass installers, all of whom indicated they are unable to acquire the correct windshield due to Hyundai’s ongoing parts shortage. No resolution has been provided by Hyundai corporate. Although one vendor was referenced by the dealer, they too did not have the part available locally. Hyundai has offered limited rental reimbursement, but not enough to cover costs during this extended downtime. No inspection has been conducted by the manufacturer or insurance company beyond initial confirmation of the damage. No warning lights or messages preceded the incident — the issue is entirely due to the unavailability of a critical OEM part, making the vehicle unsafe and unusable. I am paying monthly for a financed vehicle that cannot be driven due to a manufacturing and supply chain failure beyond my control. 1. On several occasions while braking over uneven surfaces, the vehicle would not come to a complete stop, the brake pedals and steering wheel shook violently, and the vehicle continued to propel forward although I had the brakes engaged. This almost caused me to collide with other vehicles. The dealership could not replicate the issue and said it was a normal response. No, that is wrong; This is abnormal and dangerous. But at any rate, there was a safety recall recently to address the same issue that I have been complaining about so I hope it fixes the problem 2. Also, the paint on the roof rails and the door handles are flaking off. The coating and paint on the roof rails is splotchy, rough, and uneven, and the door handles continue to peel horribly. The dealership said corporate and parts denied my warranty request deeming the issue as normal wear and tear when the dealership said it was a paint and workmanship defect. No new vehicle should be losing its paint like this. Me simply opening a door and driving a car should not cause handles and roof rails to peel. It id getting worse. Also in conducting research on the issue, it is found to be a problem others have complained about as well. I have filed several complaints and claims in attempt to get my truck fixed.

My husband was driving down the highway when he heard a loud boom! He then heard some wind. He pulled over to the side only to discover that the sunroof had exploded. Then while on his way to the dealership he could hear it crumbling more.

When the brakes are applied while in low speeds and you are driving on rough pavement or you hit a bump in the road the car skids and won't come to a stop. It feels like the ABS has kicked in. There are a few brick roads in my town. In just one block when I stop it will skid almost completely through the stop sign. I have to brake almost halfway before I get to the stop sign. The other day I was driving in the middle of town going around 25 mph and went to stop at a stoplight. My car hit a patch of rough pavement and skidded almost into the back of the car in front of me. I have only had my Palisade for a few months and the paint is chipping terribly. I have the night edition and 2 weeks after having it there were tons of chips in the grill. I do not live on gravel nor do I travel on gravel often. This should not be happening this soon. Why is there not a protectant applied? Why is my paint chipping so soon?

The sunroof spontaneously exploded while driving on the highway.

Windshield trim on driver’s side A pillar has failed (come loose) multiple times causing a rattling noise to be present when driving at high speeds. After trim, brackets, rivets (to include larger rivets), and windshield have all been replaced multiple times, the noise is still present. It goes away in cold weather, leading to believe that the issue is with the frame of the vehicle.
