STEERING COUPLER IS BROKEN BUT I CAN'T GET IT FIXED BECAUSE THE EXTEND WARRANTY ONLY GOES TO 100,000 MILES! I'M OVER THAT MILEAGE! THE PART IS VERY CHEAP BUT THE LABOR TO GET IT REPLACED IS OVER $300. PLEASE MAKE THIS A RECALL FOR EVERYONE ASAP!!! IT IS NOT SAFE FOR US TO BE DRIVING WITH THIS BROKEN PART!!
STEERING BEGAN RATTLING INSIDE WHILE TURNING - WE REPAIRED - 2 DAYS LATER DROVE TO TN VISITING RELATIVES, WHILE COMING BACK TO GA CAR BEGAN MAKING A WARNING SOUND AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASHBOARD STEERING STARTED LOCKING UP POWERED DOWN AND STOPPED. HASN'T RAN SINCE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. AS TIME WENT ON, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE ACCELERATION, THE RPMS DECREASED, AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
BRAKE FLUID IS LOW, RESERVE TANK IS EMPTY, BUT THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT. STARTED DRIVING OFF DRIVE WAY, DISCOVERED THAT BRAKE SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. THIS MAY CAUSE SOME SAFETY ISSUES.
1. STEERING WHEEL: MAKES A CLICKING NOISE WHEN MAKING ANY TURN; SOUNDS LIKE LOOSE CHANGE 2. CAR STOPS WHILE DRIVING: AS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON ME, ONLY THING WORKING WAS THE ELECTRIC (RADIO STILL PLAYS)
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AT APPROX 50MPH IN TRAFFIC. I GAVE THE ENGINE GAS AS I CHANGED LANES INTO AN EXPRESS LANE. IN THE MIDDLE OF CHANGING LANES, THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN AND THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP (BATTERY, OIL, ENGINE, ETC.). HAD THE CAR TOWED HOME TO INSPECT. UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY PROBLEMS. CAR CURRENTLY AT DEALERSHIP AWAITING INSPECTION. I WAS NEVER INFORMED OF A RECALL, OR THAT THIS PROBLEM IS SO COMMON. PLEASE HELP US!!!
I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 30 MPH, I CAME TO A TURN AND WHEN I SLOWED DOWN I LOST POWER FROM THE ENGINE. THE RADIO AND HEADLIGHTS STILL FUNCTIONED FOR A WHILE AFTER BUT EVENTUALLY WENT OUT. ENGINE BURNS OIL FASTER THAN ANY OTHER CAR I HAVE OWNED, ALSO SINCE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR OIL IS USUALLY ALWAYS BURNT OR BLACK FROM PREVIOUS OIL CHANGE.
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR STARTED BRAKING, LOST POWER STEERING,STOPPED AND WARNING ON DASH SAID HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM, DO NOT DRIVE. I WAS ABLE TO PULL ONTO TURNING LANE. TURNED CAR OFF, THEN ON AGAIN. WARNING GONE ON DASH, PUT INTO GEAR AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NO PROBLEM. MADE SERVICE APT. DROVE 60 MILES BEFORE HAPPENING AGAIN. THIS TIME WOULD NOT RESTART.TOWED TO DEALERSHIP.WAS TOLD HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE. I HAVE 20,000 MILES ON CAR BUT 1 YR OUT OF WARRANTY. $2,700.00 AND 3 DAYS LATER THEY SAY THIS PART HAS 1YR WARRANTY. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON FREEWAY IT COULD HAVE BECOME DEADLY FOR ME. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR.
THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS DEVELOPED TWO LARGE CRACKS. IT APPEARS TO BE OVER THE AIRBAG. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT MAY DAMAGE THE UNDERLYING AIRBAG SINCE IT IS NOW EXPOSED TO THE "ELEMENTS" , SUNLIGHT, CLEANING SOLUTIONS ETC.
WHEN I'M DRIVING THE LIGHTS COME ON OUT OF NOWHERE I EVEN COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND IT STILL KEEPS HAPPENING SEEMS LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS EITHER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
WHEN PLACING THE CAR IN PARK, UNABLE TO REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION. AS IF SYSTEM THINKS CAR NOT IN PARK.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ON A SLOPE AT AROUND 55MPH WHEN THE CAR QUIT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TRIED STARTING THE CAR IT WOULDN'T EVEN TURN OVER SO HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE TO FIND OUT THE ENGINE WAS LOCKED UP SO NOW THE CAR IS STILL SITTING IN MY YARD SINCE OCTOBER OF 2019 SO I DO A LITTLE RESEARCH AND FIND OUT THAT THE 2.4 ENGINE HAS HAD ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS BUT UNFORTUNATELY MINE ISN'T ON THE RECALL LIST. THE MILEAGE I THINK IS AROUND 130,000
AFTER HAVING THE CAR SERVICED AND ANY APPLICABLE RECALLS DONE AND BEING TOLD OUR CAR WAS SAFE AND DID NOT NEED AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT, IN MAY. IN SEPTEMBER ARE CAR BEGIN TO KNOCK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WE WENT AND IT NEEDED THE ENGINE TO BE REPLACED PUT IN ANOTHER ENGINE AND IT WOULDN'T WORK SO THEY HAD TO PUT IN ANOTHER. SO EVEN AFTER OUR CAR WAS CLEARED BY ONE HYUNDAI FACILITY IT STILL NEEDED TWO ENGINE REPLACEMENTS. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CAR WAS RETURNED THE AIR CONDITIONER BEGIN TO FAIL BECAUSE OF SOMETHING DURING THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT. HYUNDAI HAS BEEN LESS THAN FORTHCOMING AND VERY DIFFICULT ABOUT GETTING ALL THIS FIXED CORRECTLY. WE ARE STILL ATTEMPTING TO GET HYUNDAI TO CORRECT WHATEVER WAS INCORRECTLY DONE. THE CAR WAS OBVIOUSLY IN MOTION AT THE TIME.
MY REAR PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT KEEPS SHORTING OUT. IVE REPLACED THE BULB HALF A DOZEN TIMES NOW. IVE EVEN REPLACED THE TAIL LAMP HOUSING AND IT KEEPS BLOWING THE LIGHT. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE CARS AND THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT AND REPLACE IT UNDER A RECALL. WHY SHOULD I BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT? THEYRE THE ONES SELLING DEFECTIVE JUNK TO THE PUBLIC. IVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CAR IVE EVER OWNED. IVE EVEN HAD THE ENGINE REPLACED UNDER RECALL. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" DEARS, I HAVE SONATA 2013 LIMITED AND THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PIPE THAT CONNECTS TO THE FUEL PUMP OUTLET HAVE BEEN DAMAGED, AND NOW THERE IS A FUEL LEAK FROM THE PIPE, I TRIED TO FIND A REPLACEMENT PART IN MY COUNTRY BUT I COULDN'T FIND. I'M STAYING IN KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN (GCC COUNTRY), AND I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM UAE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN REPLACE THIS PIPE.
I'M LEASING MY CAR AND I HAVEN'T HAD IT A TOTAL YEAR YET, I WAS DRIVING ON MY WAY TO WORK AT 10:50PM AND ALL MY DASH BOARDS LIGHTS CAME ON AND MY CAR ALSO SLOWED DOWN I TRIED HITTING THE GAS AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THANK GOD IT WAS A GAS STATION I COULD PULL INTO AND BY THE TIME MADE IT INTO THE GAS STATION MY CAR TURNED JUST STOPPED COMPLETELY MY STARTER HAS GONE OUT , AND NOW MY ENGINE IS LOCKED UP!! I HAD TO GET IT TOWED HOME II WANT TO KNOW IF THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON MY CAR!

ENTIENDO QUE ES UN PROBLEMA DE FABRICA YA QUE NO ES NORMAL QUE UN VEHICULO NUEVO ESTE GASTANDO ESTA CANTIDAD DE ACEITE PARA ESE MILLAJE. VARIOS MECANICOS ME HAN DICHO LO MISMO. QUE NO ES NORMAL PARA UN VEHICULO NUEVO. PRACTICAMENTE. TIENE TODOS LOS CAMBIOS DE ACEITE Y FILTRO CADA 3000 MILLAS Y TODOS LOS MANTENIMIENTOS AL DIA. SERIA BUENO QUE VERIFICARAN YA QUE EL VEHICULO NO HA DADO PROBLEMAS DE NADA ANTERIORMENTE, EXCEPT LA GASTAERA DE ACEITE QUE LE ESTOY PRESENTANDO ACTUALMENTE. EL VEHICULO LO UTILIZE DIARIAMENTE PARA MI TRABAJO Y NUNCA ME HA DADO PROBLEMAS.
VERY SIMILAR TO HTSA ID NUMBER: 10607383. CAR REFUSES TO ACCELERATE RELIABLY . IN ADDITION ON BRAKING THE CAR WILL LURCH FORWARD FOR 1-2 SECONDS. NO LOSS OF BRAKE PEDAL FEEL BUT COULD CAUSE ACCIDENT IN CLOSE CIRCUMSTANCES.
I HAVE BEEN REPLACING BREAK/TAIL LIGHT BULBS FOR 3 YEARS, MY BULBS MELT INTO THE HARNESS CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO DIG THE BULB OUT. RIGHT NOW I HAVE GLASS EVERYWHERE IN THE TAIL LIGHT DUE TO MY BULB EXPLODING. THIS MORNING I STARTED MY CAR AND HAD NO BACK RUNNING LIGHTS AND NO BREAK LIGHTS, THAT'S VERY INCONVENIENT WHEN I GO TO WORK BEFORE AN AUTO STORE IS OPEN. A RECALL NEEDS TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THERE'S SO MANY PEOPLE DEALING WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. I AM NOT SURE IF IT'S FAULTY WIRING BUT THE BULBS BURN WAY TO HOT. THIS HAPPENS NO MATTER IF YOU BARELY USE THE LIGHTS OR NOT, EVEN IF YOU ARE PARKED AND LIGHTS ARE ON AND EVEN IF YOU ARE JUST DRIVING. TODAY MY LIGHT SPARKED, THE BULB EXPLODED AND I HAD TO CUT THE LIGHTS OFF IN ORDER TO STOP THE SPARKS FROM CAUSING A FIRE.
THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD CRACKED ABOUT 18 INCHES. OUR HYUNDAI SERVICE REP SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY THE AIRBAGS UNDER THE DASHBOARD EXPANDING FROM THE HEAT. HYUNDAI SHOULD REPLACE THE DASHBOARD, OBVIOUSLY MADE OF FAULTY MATERIAL. OUR REP SAID IT WOULD COST US $1,000.00. I'M AFRAID THAT AIRBAGS WILL CRACK IT COMPLETELY IN HALF AND THEN THE CAR WOULD NOT BE DRIVABLE.
I HAVE HAD TO REPEATEDLY REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS IN THE CAR. I'VE HAD TO WORK IN AN EXTRA $28-$52 FOR LIGHTS AND ALWAYS KEEP A SPARE. I NOTICE MANY OTHER SIMILAR SONATA'S WITH BLOWN LIGHTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT WAS INOPERABLE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT WIRING HARNESS WAS FAULTY, MELTED, AND DEFORMED DUE TO OVERHEATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TERRY LEE HYUNDAI AND THE WIRING HARNESS WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 16214958. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED MAKING A LOUD CLUNKING SOUND WHEN I HIT ANY SORT OF BUMP. IT HAPPENED OUT OF THE BLUE AND SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS. THERE ARE MANY MANY REVIEWS AND WEBSITES STATING PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. PLEASE FIX.
A COUPLE WEEKS BACK MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED CLICKING WHEN TURNED SLOWLY IN EITHER DIRECTION WHILE NOT MOVING. NOW ITS A HUGE CLANKING LOUD RATTLE EVERY TIME ANY BUMP IS HIT WITH FRONT TIRES. THE FRONT END GUY NOTICED BUT SAID IT WAS NOT THE FRONT SUSPENSION. ITS EVERY DAY AND SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE.
1.BREAK LIGHT IN BACK WINDOW REMAINS ON...AS THOUGH BREAK IS DEPRESSED, WHEN PARKED. STAYS ON 24/7! WILL NOT GO OFF! I HAVE TRIED PLACING THE TOP OF MY FOOT UP UNDER BREAK, AND LIGHTLY PULLING UP; LIGHT FLICKERS OFF FOR A SECOND...IN THIS UPWARD MOTION, AND THEN QUICKLY RETURNS TO SOLID LIGHT! 2.ACCELERATOR INTERMITTENTLY DE-ACCELERATES...WITH NO WARNING, WHICH IS DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, OR ON HIGHWAY...WHEN TRYING TO STAY WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. I HAVE TO KEEP PUMPING ACCELERATOR, UNTIL IT "ENGAGES", ONCE AGAIN. VERY DANGEROUS!
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the low and high beam headlights failed to illuminate and was replaced on several occasions. Additionally, the driver’s and passenger’s side taillights were inoperable. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA STOPPED ON ME. IT WAS LIKE THE ENGINE CUT OFF, ALL THE CAR LIGHTS CAME ON--THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, EPS LIGHT, ETC. ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AT ONCE AND THE DRIVING WHEEL LOCKED ON ME, IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD FOR ME TO TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL. I WAS PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATION PEDAL BECAUSE THE CAR WAS STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY STREET WHERE OTHER CARS WERE PASSING BY ME. HOWEVER, I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE OR PRESS ON THE BRAKES ON THE CAR, I WAS ABLE TO COAST THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ONCE THE CAR WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I TRIED TO CRANK THE CAR BACK UP WITH NO LUCK. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR "ON"--AS IN BEING ABLE TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO BUT THE CAR WOULD NEVER FULLY TURN OVER. WHEN TRYING TO GET THE CAR TO CRANK UP I BEGAN TO NOTICE SMOKE COMING FROM ENGINE AND A SPARK COMING FROM THE ENGINE WOULD LIGHT UP A LITTLE EVERY TIME I TRIED TO GET THE CAR TO TURN OVER. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE HOOD OF THE CAR ALSO SMELLED LIKE BURNT METAL WHEN I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD EVEN BEFORE I TRIED TO RESTART MY CAR AFTER IT CUT OFF ON ME. THE ENGINE COMPLETELY STOPPED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. ALL MY MAINTENANCE AND SERVICES WITH MY 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA WERE UP TO DATE. I HAD GOT MY CAR SERVICED LESS THAN A MONTH AGO BEFORE THIS HAPPENED TO ME, THE ENGINE SEIZED. AFTER REPEATEDLY TRYING TO START THE CAR WITH NO LUCK. I HAD TO CALL AAA TO COME AND TOW MY CAR.
TOOK VEHICLE FOR A RECALL UPDATE.TO HYUNDAI OF NAPLES FLORIDA .THEY SAY ITS REPAIRED BUT THE VEHICLE GOES INTO A LYMPH MODE WHILE DRIVING , LOSES ALL ACCELERATION POWER. ALMOST HAD A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT DUE TO LACK OF ACCELERATION.DEALER SAYS ITS OK TO DRIVE. I SAID NO ITS NOT. SERVICE CONSULTANT DROVE IT AND EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOM. THEY HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE FOR OVER TWO MONTH AND THEY CAN REPAIR IT. STILL IN THERE POSSESSION.11/25/19.

THE VEHICLE STARTED TO VIBRATE ABNORMALLY, FAILED TO RESPOND, AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO LEE HYUNDAI OF GOLDSBORO (LOCATED AT 304 N OAK FOREST RD, GOLDSBORO, NC 27534, (866) 789-1488), BUT HAD NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,800.
LOUD POP WHEN TURNING A CORNER AND THEN CONSIDERABLE SHAKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL AFTER THAT.
ABOUT A WEEK AGO MY STEERING STARTED MAKING A CLICKING SOUND WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL OR HIT A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR 2 YEARS AND 4 DAYS. I HAVE TAKEN IT FOR EVERY RECALL AND HAD MY OIL CHANGED LIKE I'M SUPPOSE TO. IT'S JUST ODD THAT IT STARTED MAKING THIS NOISE OUT OF THE BLUE. IS THERE A RECALL ON THE STEERING? I KNOW THIS ISN'T NORMAL FOR A CARS STEERING TO MAKE NOISES.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE BULB IN THE BACK BRAKE LIGHT MELTED INTO THE SOCKET AND I'VE CHANGED THE BULB ON THE PASSENGER SIDE MULTIPLES TIMES JUST THIS YEAR. WE REPLACED THE ENTIRE BRAKE SOCKET WHEN WE FIRST PURCHASE THE CAR AND I BELIEVE NOW THAT THERE'S A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT AND SOCKET AND PAY LABOR COST TO HAVE THIS REPLACED AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING ALONG A MAJOR ROADWAY AT 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE SIMPLY SHUT OFF AND MUCH OF THE LIGHTS SUCH AS CHECK ENGINE, ETC LIT UP. I LOST ALL POWER AND BRAKES AND COASTED TO A SIDE STREET. THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN AND BEGAN HEAVY SMOKING. I HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC WHO STATED THE ENGINE HAD LOCKED UP. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, OR ANY OTHER INDICATION THERE WAS A PROBLEM.

ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO AROUND 6AM I WAS DRIVING TO WORK WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POP UP AND THE THROTTLE PEDAL WENT DOWN AND IT WON'T PEDAL OR MOVE NO MORE. DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON UNTIL MY CAR WAS TOWED THE DEALERSHIP PLACE WHERE I WAS TOLD IS A RECALL. TWO WEEKS AFTER I WAS CALLED THAT MY CAR IS READY AND GOOD TO GO BUT UNFORTUNATELY BEFORE THE CAR GOT TO MY PLACE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DON'T MOVE NORMALLY AGAIN, WHEN YOU ARE ON MOTION AND YOU TRY TO CHANGE LANE OR OVERTAKING THE PEDAL WON'T MOVE UNTIL YOU FORCE IT WITH PRESSURE AND IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN, THE CAR DON'T MOVE NORMAL AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM AGAIN AND THEY TOOK THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OFF THAT IT SHOULD BE FINE AFTER BUT ALAS THE PROBLEM IS WORSENING DAY IN DAY OUT AND MY SAFETY IS ON THE LINE NOW. INITIALLY I WAS TOLD THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE THE ENGINE BUT I REALIZED THEY DIDN'T REPLACE THE ENGINE INSTEAD SOME PARTS WERE REPLACED AND THAT MAKES IT WORSE THAN BEFORE. DRIVING THE CAR NOW IS AT THE HIGH RISK FOR ME OR OTHER ROAD USERS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN NEXT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND THE PEDAL STILL NOT MOVING WELL AND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE MOVING UPHILL. PLEASE I WILL LIKE THIS TO BE INVESTIGATED BECAUSE I DON'T IF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCE SIMILAR PROBLEM.

I HAVE OWNED MY 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA FOR 4 YEARS AND I HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE BRAKE LIGHT BULBS 2- 3 TIMES EACH YEAR. IN MARCH OF 2019 I SPENT $197 FOR NEW BRAKE LIGHT BULBS. IT IS NOW AUGUST OF 2019 AND ALL OF MY LIGHTS ARE OUT, EVEN THE TOP LIGHT. MY MECHANIC HAS CONFIRMED THAT THESE VEHICLES HAVE CONSTANT ISSUE INVOLVING BLOWN LIGHT BULBS. HE COULD NOT FIND A RECALL ON IT. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH OTHER HYUNDAI SONATA AND ELANTRA OWNERS AND THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 44,737.

WHILE REPLACING THE BULBS IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LIGHT BULBS HAD OVERHEATED AND MELTED INTO THE BULB SOCKET. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. ALSO WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD REMAIN ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER FIVE STAR HYUNDAI OF MACON LOCATED AT 3010 RIVERSIDE DR, MACON, GA 31210 WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. MAKING A BAD KNOCKING NOICE ON DRIVER FRONT SIDE BY THE WHEEL WHEN TURNING IN ONE DIRECTION THE CAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND STREET
THE ENGINE SEIZED ON JULY 31 WHILE ON VACATION. WE WERE DRIVING INTO MERCED, CA, ON HIGHWAY 140, AND HAD ACCELERATED TO PASS A LINE OF CARS WHEN THE ENGINE QUIT. WE WERE ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD AAA TOW IT INTO MERCED HYUNDAI. HYUNDAIUSA AGREED IT WAS A FACTORY DEFECT AND PAID FOR THE REPLACEMENT, AND ULTIMATELY A RENTAL CAR FOR US TO USE (THEY ALSO REIMBURSED THE COST OF THE RENTAL WE HAD TO USE BEFORE THEY AUTHORIZED THE REPAIR). THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED AT THAT DEALERSHIP (AFTER 5 WEEKS OF CALLING JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY AND BEING IGNORED). WE PICKED IT UP ON SEPT. 6. ONCE AT HOME, A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL RAIL WAS DISCOVERED. OUR LOCAL DEALER 'FIXED' IT, AND WHEN WE PICKED IT UP THE TURBO NO LONGER WORKED AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER QUIT FUNCTIONING. WE ARE TRYING TO GET THE DEALER TO FIX IT OR BUY IT BACK AT THEIR COST, SINCE WE FEEL IT WAS NEGLIGENCE ON THEIR PART. WE LOVED THE CAR BEFORE THE ENGINE SEIZED, BUT SINCE THE 'REPAIR,' IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.
TAKATA RECALL, I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING BRAKES, MY STEERING WHEEL SHAKES WHEN I BRAKE, AND THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS MY TAIL LIGHTS ARE GOING OFF AND ON. ALL THESE ISSUES WERE FROM JANUARY OF 2019 CURRENT DATE JULY 27, 2019. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND MAVIS TIRE. I GOT A NEW AXLE, BRAKES, ROUTERS, NEW TAIL LIGHTS NOTHING IS WORKING. IT'S BEEN LONG OVERDUE. HYUNDAI DEALER WANTS A TOTAL OF $1700 TO FIX. I REFUSE WHEN I VERBAL TOLD THEM THERE ARE COMPLAINT FROM ALL VEHICLE OWNERS THAT HAD THE SAME MODULE VEHICLE AS ME. I LOOKED AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON THESE ISSUES. I TOLD THEM I HAVE THREE LITTLE KIDS AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR ANYWHERE BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES. HYUNDAI REFUSE TO HELP!!!
THE PAINT IS CHIPPING ACROSS THE WHOLE VEHICLE. SOME AREAS ARE JUST LITTLE SPOTS BUT OTHERS ARE LARGE CHUNKS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED YET THE PAINT IS CHIPPING.
