STEERING WHEEL LOCKS WHEN YOU PUT THE KEY IN TO UNLOCK IT YOU CAN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SOMETIMES BECAUSE IT SO TIGHTLY LOCKED THAT WEAK PEOPLE ELDERLY PEOPLE CAN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO START THE CAR AND THEY CAN BE STRANDED OUT IN THE HEAT ANOTHER TYPE PROBLEMS SO MAKES IT VERY DANGEROUS WE PRESENTED THIS TO THE STATE AND HAD A IMPARTIAL MEDIATOR WHO ACTUALLY WAS PARTIAL BECAUSE SHE COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL SHE HAD TO HAVE HELP FROM HYUNDAI TO TURN IT AND NOTHING WAS DONE OF IT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS TO THIS DAY WHERE MY MOM CAN'T START HER CAR. IT'S WHEN THE CAR IS OFF AND KEY IS OUT AND HAPPENS MORE OFTEN WHEN THE WHEELS ARE TURNED IN ANY DIRECTION. IT'S ON THE 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA AND ALL YEARS. CALL ME [XXX]. WHERE DO I START. THIS CAR HAS BEEN MORE PF A PAIN THAN ANYTHING. AFTER DEALING WITH THE STEERING SENSITIVITY ISSUE WHICH RESULTED IN NEW TIRES AT 12000 MILES, I NOW HAVE A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT THE DEALER CANNOT DIAGNOSE. *TR BEGINNING ONE MONTH AGO THE CAR STARTED MAKING A LOUD WHOOSHING NOISE EMINATING FROM THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR. THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT AS I ASSUMED THAT IT WAS THE NEW TIRES. THEN CAME THE TRANSMISSION CLUNKS AFTER RAPIDLY ACCELERATING THEN DECELERATING. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO THE CAR, ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS, WOULD CLUNK AFTER STARTING AND PUTTING IT INTO GEAR. THEN THE TRANSMISSION WOULD CONTINUE TO SHIFT HARD THROUGH EVERY GEAR, BOTH DURING THE UPSHIFTING AND DOWNSHIFTING PROCESS FOR APPX. 1.5 MILES, THEN IT WOULD RESOLVE ITSELF. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE CAR OFTEN FAILS TO ACCELERATE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OVERTAKE OTHER VEHICLES. THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THIS (CANNOT DUPLICATE DURING TEST DRIVES AND NO CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER).

WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AFTER YOU TURN OFF THE CAR, A FAIR PERCENTAGE OF TIME YOU CAN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO START THE CAR. IT SOMETIMES LOCKS DOWN SO HARD YOU NEED TWO PEOPLE TO TURN IT. I WAS STRANDED IN 105 DEGREE HEAT TRYING TO GET MY CAR STARTED, I AM 86 YEARS OLD IF MY SON DIDN'T COME BY I WOULD HAVE HAD SERIOUS PROBLEMS. HYUNDAI VERIFIED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL TO UNLOCK THE CAR TO START IT BUT THEY ALL DO IT. I HAVE A CAR NOW I CAN'T DRIVE. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. JUST BOUGHT A HYUNDAI SONATA 2013 THAT THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND I CAN'T START THE CAR. I NEED ANOTHER PERSON TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE IT LOCKS SO HARD. CONSUMER STATED THE STEERING LOCKS AND SHE CANT START THE CAR. *LN THE CONSUMER STATED SHE WAS STRANDED TWICE, BECAUSE SHE WAS UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN SHE WAS ABLE TO UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL, AND START THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD RUN IN A ROUGH MANNER. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED SHE INJURED HERE WRIST, HAND AND ARM, TRYING TO UNLOCK THE STEERING WHEEL.

ON A DIFFERENT OCCASION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOME LIGHT FAILED TO TURN OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT OCCURRED IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE RADIO. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE WITH MY PUSH BUTTON START, WITHOUT PUTTING THE SHIFTER INTO THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE ALLOWED ME TO EXIT AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. I TRIED TO RE-ENTER THE VEHICLE TO ENGAGE THE BRAKE AND WAS KNOCKED ONTO THE PAVEMENT BY THE DRIVER DOOR. I WAS FORCED BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR AND THE PAVEMENT AS THE VEHICLE ROLLED PAST ME AND ENTERED TRAFFIC, CROSSED TO LANES AND WAS STOPPED BY A CURB AND A SPEED LIMIT SIGN. VEHICLE BUMPER WAS DENTED. I SUFFERED SEVERAL BRUISES, A SPRAIN, A LARGE ABRASION, AND PULLED BACK MUSCLES. WENT TO THE ER AND MISSED A COUPLE DAYS OF WORK. INJURIES DO NOT APPEAR TO BE SERIOUS AT THIS TIME. *TR

THE CAR IS BRAND NEW LIMITED 2.0T. I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT HAD 385 MILES ON IT. I DID NOT TEST DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER DRIVING A FEW DAYS, I REALIZE THE CAR JUST WOULD NOT STAY IN A STRAIGHT. A TINY BIT OF TURN ON THE WHEEL TO EITHER LEFT OF RIGHT, IT WOULD CONTINUE TO GO IN THAT DIRECTION. THEN I REALIZED WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON A STRETCH OF HIGHWAY WITH A SLIGHT LEFT CURVE, I CAN JUST TURN THE WHEEL A BIT AND LET GO OF MY HAND AND THE CAR WILL CONTINUE ON THE CURVE WITHOUT TURNING BACK STRAIGHT. THIS IS NOT HOW I DRIVE FOR 30 SOME YEARS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STEER IN THE DESIRED DIRECTION AND WANDERED OUT OF LANE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN DRIVING OVER 45 MPH. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. MY MOTHER CAN DRIVE CAR WITHOUT BEING STRANDED BECAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP SO HARD ABOUT 85% OF THE TIME WHEREAS SHE CAN'T TURN THE WHEEL TO TURN THE KEY. WE WENT TO STATE ARBITRATOR AND SHE HAD SAME PROBLEM COULD NOT TURN STEERING NOR START CAR. I THINK THIS A COVER UP OR SOME ONE IS TAKING BRIBES BECAUSE WE SHOWED PROBLEM IN FRONT OF ANALYST SALVADOR SANTILLAN OF DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, AND NOTHING CAME OF IT THOUGH HE AGREED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. AFTER A FEW TIMES OF MY MOTHER AN ELDER WOMEN OF SOME STRENGTH, BEING STRANDED, SHE CAN'T DRIVE CAR ALONE. PLEASE LOOK IN TO WE HAVE VIDEO. *TR
VEHICLE WANDERS FROM LANE TO LANE REQUIRING CONSTANT CORRECTION. THIS CONDITION CAUSES FATIGUE WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. VEHICLE DRIVER CAN NOT TAKE THEIR ATTENTION OFF THE ROAD FOR MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS, ESPECIALLY IN WINDY CONDITIONS OR HEAVY TRAFFIC AS THE VEHICLE WILL WANDER. THIS CAUSES PREMATURE TIRE WEAR TIRES MUST BE REPLACED IN AS LITTLE AS 10,000 MILES AND THE COST IS ABOUT 1K FOR ALL FOUR TIRES. PROBLEM TWO. CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT SET OR CANCEL MUST BE TURNED OFF, OR THE BRAKE DEPRESSED OR THE CONTROL BUTTONS ARE INOPERATIVE PRESSING THE CANCEL BUTTON DOES NOT TURN OFF THE CRUISE AND IF IT DOES, AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, THE CRUISE WILL NOT RESET. *TR
VEHICLE WANDERS DANGEROUSLY FROM SPEEDS OF 35 MPH TO 60MPH. I HAVE OTHER FRIENDS WITH SONATA HAVE SAME PROBLEMS. *TR
CAR WONDERS IN LANE. IMPOSSIBLE TO HOLD A STEADY LINE WHILE STEERING CAR. IN WINDY SITUATIONS CAR CAN MAKE ENTIRE HALF LANE SHIFTS, BEFORE BEING ABLE TO CORRECT SITUATION. ON VERY RUTTED ROADWAYS, YOU NEVER KNOW WHICH WAY CAR IS GOING TO MOVE. CAN NOT ANTICIPATE CAR MOVEMENT WHICH CAUSES OVER STEERING. *TR
THE TIRES ON MY 2013 ARE DEAFENING. I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY CARE OF MY CAR. I AM UP TO DATE ON MY SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS FOR LEASING THE CAR. I JUST CAN'T TAKE THE TIRE NOISE ANYMORE. ON LOW SPEEDS AND HIGH SPEEDS THE TIRE NOISE IS OUT OF CONTROL. I THINK THE BRAND TIRES ON THE CAR ARE TERRIBLE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS I WOULD NEVER HAVE BOUGHT THE CAR. WHEN MY CAR'S LEASE IS UP I AM HAVING SERIOUS DOUBTS ABOUT LEASING ANOTHER ONE. I WOULD LOVE TO AFFORD A DIFFERENT BRAND OF TIRES TO SEE IF IT A MANUFACTURES DEFECT. I WAS DRIVING & HEARD SOMETHING FALLING DOWN ON MY BACK WINDOW - IT SOUNDED LIKE ICE FALLING DOWN FROM THE ROOF. I GET TO WORK & PARK IN A PARKING SPOT ONLY TO REALIZE THAT MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF HAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED! THE MIDDLE WAS CRACKED & STICKING UP & THE REST WAS SHATTERED IN A WEB EFFECT. WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR THE WHOLE THING JUST FELL DOWN. LUCKILY I HAD THE INSIDE VISOR OF THE SUNROOF CLOSED SO IT DIDN'T GO INSIDE THE CAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO DRIVING WHEN THERE WERE SEVERELY HIGH WINDS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED AND THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO BECOME USED TO THE WAY THE VEHICLE OPERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 461. *TR
CAN'T KEEP CAR GOING IN STRAIGHT LINE. CONSTANTLY HAVE TO CORRECT STEERING, BUT CAN'T KEEP CAR FROM WANDERING INTO OTHER LANES. THIS IS EITHER GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IN CLOSE PLACES OR PROVOKE A POLICE STOP FOR DRUNK DRIVING. I NOW HAVE 3,117 MILES ON THE CAR, AND IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS IS WORSE IN FLORIDA DUE TO THE 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE I 75. UNCONTROLLABLE AT LEGAL SPEEDS. FOUND THAT HYUNDAI HAD THIS PROBLEM ON 2010 MODELS. WHY DOESN'T NHTSA DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE NEW MODELS THEY ARE BUILDING. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE CARS STEERING TENDS TO OVERSTEER REQUIRING CONSTANT WHEEL ADJUSTMENT. THE FEEL IS SIMILAR TO THE WIND BLOWING THE CAR BACK AND FORTH ON THE HIGHWAY. IT CAN BE FELT AT LOWER SPEEDS BUT IS MORE PREVALENT AT HIGHER SPEEDS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER ON 3/26/13 AND WAS TOLD ITS THE ELECTRONIC STEERING AND THAT IT IS OPERATING AS IT SHOULD. THEY TOLD ME IT,S DIFFERENT THE HYDRAULIC STEERING AND IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO GET USE TO IT. *TR
LOTS OF PLAY IN THE STEERING DRIVING AT SLOWER SPEEDS IN RURAL AREAS. ON THE HIGHWAY THE STEERING PULLS IN BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT AT DIFFERENT TIMES, NOT LIKE AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE THAT IT WOULD PULL TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPT AND THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE. MY TIRES HAVE BARELY ANY TREAD ON THEM FROM 18,000 MI TO NOW WHICH IT HAS ONLY 23,000 MILES ON IT. I NEED NEW TIRES BEFORE IT WILL PASS INSPECTION. THERE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM! *TR

THE STEERING PROGRESSIVELY BECAME VERY SENSITIVE AND DIFFICULT TO KEEP STRAIGHT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN EXAMINED BY A MECHANIC. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 200.
VEHICLE DRIFTS LEFT AND RIGHT AT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SPEEDS, REQUIRING CONSTANT ATTENTION AND CORRECTION BY THE DRIVER, WHICH IS DISTRACTING AND CONTRIBUTES TO DRIVER FATIGUE. UNABLE TO TRACK SMOOTHLY AROUND CURVES. SIMILAR TO ALTERNATING CROSS WINDS, EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NONE. SITUATION VERY AGGRAVATING IN ACTUAL CROSS WINDS. ANY POLICE OFFICER WOULD BE JUSTIFIED IN ISSUING A TICKET FOR "WEAVING". DEALER TECHNICIAN DROVE THE CAR AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS IS A NEGATIVE CHARACTERISTIC OF ELECTRICAL STEERING AND NOTHING TO BE DONE FOR IT. HE SUPPOSEDLY CHANGED SOME SETTING FROM "HARD" TO "SOFT', BUT THAT HAD NO EFFECT AFTER I LEFT THE DEALER, MAYBE EVEN BEING WORSE. I COMPLAINED TO HYUNDAI ON THEIR WEBSITE, WITH NO RESPONSE TO DATE. I AM A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (MOSTLY AVIATION) AND SUSPECT THAT SOME DAMPING NEEDS TO BE APPLIED TO THE STEERING SYSTEM. AT THIS TIME, I AM NOTICING THAT ABOUT HALF OF THE 2013 SONATA COMPLAINTS CONCERN THE STEERING SYSTEM. I WAS DRIVING A NEW 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA IN A PARKING AREA, APPROACHING A PARKING SPACE FOR A STRAIGHT-IN PARKING FACING A BUILDING. MY SPEED WAS ABOUT 10MPH. I BRAKE CONTINUOUSLY TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP, BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. THE CAR WENT THROUGH THE PARKING SPACE AND CRASHED INTO THE BRICK WALL FACADE OF THE BUILDING. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE BRICK WALL WAS NOT DAMAGED. I HAD ABOUT 5 MINOR BRUISES ON MY RIGHT LEG, AND TWO BELOW UMBILICUS (SEAT BELT AREA). I ALSO SUFFERED FROM FRIGHT AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. HAVE THE 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA TURBO AND WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT IT WOULD APPEAR TO DRIVE DIFFERENTLY. IT RACES BEFORE IT SHIFTS TO THE NEXT GEAR AND AT TIMES IT SEEMS TO PICK UP SPEED WHEN I AM NOT ON THE GAS. HAVE CALLED AND ASKED TO BE TOLD THAT THE RPM SYSTEM HAS TO GET AS HIGH AS 4 BEFORE IT SHIFTS - THAT DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT AND IT MAKES THE STEERING DIFFICULT AT TIMES. THE PLASTIC TABS ON THE LEFT SIDE BUMPER COVER (SO CALLED BUMPER) BROKE COMPLETELY OFF WHEN IT APPEARS THAT THE L- SHAPED LIP OF THE PLASTIC SHIELD UNDER THE CAR RUB UP AGAINST A PARKING CURVE. THE BOTTOM OF THE BUMPER OR THE SHIELD UNDERNEATH THE CAR WAS NOT SCRATCHED TO INDICATE THAT THE CAR DRAGGED ON THE CURVE. THE DEALER STATED THE L-SHAPED LIP OF THE SHIELD RUBBED UPON THE CURVE AND LIFTED THE BUMPER CAUSING THE TABS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BUMPER TO BREAK OFF. THE CAR WILL NEED A NEW PAINTED BUMPER INSTALLED TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM AS THE PLASTIC TABS ARE MOLDED TO THE BUMPER COVER. I HAVE NEVER HAD A VEHICLE THAT WOULD DO ANY DAMAGE IF THE CAR SHIELD SCRAPED A PARKING CURVE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A TOY BATTERY OPERATED CAR BREAK LIKE THIS IF IT HIT OR SCRAPED AN OBJECT. IT APPEARS IF I RAN OVER A BOTTLE, PIECE OF WOOD, GRAVEL, ETC.,IN THE ROAD AND IT HIT THIS SHIELD, IF COULD BREAK THIS BUMPER COVER. I DID NOT PAY OVER $30,000 FOR A TOY? THE SHIELD (SHOULD BE OTHER THAN BENDABLE PLASTIC) UNDER THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE BOLTED TO THE FRAME OF THE CAR AND NOT THE BUMPER COVER. WHEN I PUSHED THE SHIELD UNDER THE CAR, THE WHOLE BUMPER COVER LIFTS UP! THIS IS NOT A VEHICLE THAT SHOULD BE ON THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD! THE VEHICLE REQUIRES CONSTANT CORRECTION TO MAINTAIN A STRAIGHT TRACK. IT DRIFTS' LEFT AND RIGHT, WITH NO REAL 'CENTERED' FEEL TO THE STEERING. MAINTAINING A STRAIGHT TRACK REQUIRES CONSTANT ATTENTION AND CORRECTION. THE VEHICLE DRIFTS CREATES HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS AND DRIVER FATIGUE, WHICH POSES A PUBLIC SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
THE DAY AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I DROVE IT ON THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH FOR A DISTANCE OF 40 MILES. I NOTICED THAT IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE FREEWAY LANES I WAS CONSTANTLY ADJUSTING THE STEERING. IF I DID NOT ADJUST THE STEERING CONSTANTLY I WOULD DRIFT INTO ANOTHER LANE. AFTER ABOUT 40 MINUTES OF DRIVING I WAS FRUSTRATED AND EXHAUSTED FROM THE EFFORTS TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN THE SAME LANE. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER AND THE SERVICE MANAGER ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERE WAS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT HE COULD DO TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. HE INDICATED THAT THIS WAS AN ELECTRIC STEERING SYSTEM AND THAT THIS WAS NORMAL FOR THIS CAR. I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICES OF THE HYUNDAI CORPORATION AND SPOKE WITH ONE OF THEIR CONSULTANTS AND THEY ALSO CONFIRMED THAT THIS WAS NORMAL FOR THIS VEHICLE AND THAT THEY HAD NO PLANS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *TR

THIS COMPLAINT ON A BRAND NEW 2013 SONATA, IS ABOUT SEVERE INTERIOR WINDSHIELD DISTRACTION CAUSED BY THE REFLECTION OF THE INTERIOR DASH ONTO THE FRONT, DRIVERS WINDSHIELD. THE REFLECTION OF THE INTERIOR ON THE WINDSHIELD IS SO SEVERE THAT IT IMPAIRS SAFE DRIVING. DURING DAYLIGHT DRIVING, EVERYTHING THAT IS LOCATED ON THE TOP OF THE INTERIOR DASHBOARD VIVIDLY REFLECTS ONTO THE INTERIOR WINDSHIELD. DESIGN EFFECTS, SPEAKERS, STEERING WHEEL AND EVEN THE DRIVERS HANDS WITH FINGERNAILS ON THE WINDSHIELD. EVENING DRIVING THE REFLECTION IS ALSO EXTREMELY IMPAIRED VIA DISTRACTION, FOR EXAMPLE THE ODOMETER REFLECTS ABOVE THE INTERIOR DRIVERS WINDOW, ABOVE THE MIRROR AND ITS IN FULL COLOR! ON A TEST DRIVE, AFTER MY COMPLAINT, THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THIS PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED THAT IT MAYBE FROM CLEANING FLUID USED DURING THE DETAILING PROCESS AND HAD THE CAR RE-DETAILED, HOWEVER THIS DID NOT RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. I HAVE DIRECTLY NOTIFIED HYUNDAI BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM. I BELIEVE THIS A SAFETY HAZARD AND THERE IS A DANGEROUS FLAW IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE GLASS IN THIS CAR.

I HAVE NOTICED THE FOLLOWING STEERING RELATED ISSUES FROM DAY ONE OF MY PURCHASE. THIS IS NOT RELATED TO ELECTRONIC STEERING THAT IS PRESENT IN NEW CARS AS SOME DEALERS WILL CLAIM. I HAVE DRIVEN SEVERAL OTHER 2013 MAKES-FORDS, NISSAN AND TOYOTA, ALL WITH ELECTRONIC STEERING THAT DO NOT DISPLAY THESE PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT WITHOUT CORRECTION BY THE DRIVER. THE CAR WANDERS ALL OVER THE ROAD. STEERING DOES NOT SELF-CENTER/RETURN TO CENTER. MOST VEHICLES HAVE A CENTER SPOT ON THEIR STEERING GEAR THAT ALLOWS THE VEHICLE TO COMFORTABLY STEER IN A STRAIGHT LINE, ESPECIALLY WHEN RETURNING FROM A LANE-CHANGE OR A TURN. PULLS TO THE LEFT AND/OR RIGHT. THE VEHICLE HAS A PRONOUNCED PULL TO THE LEFT AND /OR RIGHT WHILE DRIVING, REQUIRING CONSTANT DRIVER CORRECTION. DOES NOT DRIVE STRAIGHT. I JUST PURCHASED A 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CAR TENDS TO WANDER ON THE HIGHWAY MOSTLY LEFT BUT SOMETIMES RIGHT. IT WILL NOT STAY STRAIGHT. I HAVE ALREADY BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY TELL ME THAT IT IS WITHIN SPEC. AT FIRST THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS NOT USED TO ELECTRIC STEERING. THEY TRIED TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND I WAS TOLD IT DID NOT OCCUR. THEY'VE TOLD ME THAT THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. THEY CHECKED OUT THE CAR AND TOLD ME THAT NOTHING IS WRONG. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED TO HYUNDAI- REGIONAL CASE #6004610 AND CASE #6342874. AFTER FILING THERE'S NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE BESIDES FILE THE REPORT WITH THE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE. I'VE BEEN FORTUNATE THAT NO ONE HAS BEEN INJURED SO FAR. MY FAMILY MEMBERS WILL NOT RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 5,700 MILES ON IT. IT IS A KILLER CAR- AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
