THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT OIL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER AN OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT HAD AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST PERFORMED AT DAYTONA HYUNDAI 901 N NOVA RD, DAYTONA BEACH, FL 32117 AND NO ISSUES WERE FOUND WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO HEADQUARTER HYUNDAI 985, RINEHART RD, SANFORD, FL 32771, WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PREVIOUS OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS PERFORMED INCORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING, IS THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR, THE SOUND OF "KNOCKING" LIKE SOMETHING IS DEFECTIVE, OR COMING LOSE, THE WINDOW IS WORKING, BUT EACH TIME I CLOSE IT, TO LISTEN THE SOUND IS COMING FROM WITHIN THE DOOR, SPEAKERS, OR HINGES, SOMETHING IS LOSE, AND I'M VERY CONCERNING ABOUT IT, THIS BEEN GOING ON FOR A WHILE, WHEN THE RIGHT SIDE WINDOW IS HALF WAY DOWN, I CAN NEARLY HEAR THE KNOCKING SOUND WITHIN THE DOOR, SOMETIME IT SOUND LIKE, ITS COMING FROM THE RIGHTSIDE DASH BOARD,,THE VEHICLE IN MOTION, ON A STREET, OR ON A HIGHWAY, YOU CAN HEAR THE KNOCKING SOUND, COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR, EVEN WHEN THE ROAD IS KINDA ROUGH, YOU CAN HEAR IT SHAKE WITIHIN THE DOOR.., I DON'T RECALL EXACTLY WHEN THIS STARTED, BUT IT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT.
PANORAMIC SUNROOF WIND DEFLECTOR BECAME UNBONDED FROM CAR BODY STOPPING THE SUNROOF FROM CLOSING PROPERLY AND POSSIBLY CAUSING THE GLASS SUNROOF TO DISLODGE AND CREATE A HAZARD TO SURROUNDING TRAFFIC AT HIGH SPEEDS. HAPPENED WHILE TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. HYUNDAI DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NO RECALL AVAILABLE.
PAINT HAS STARTED FLAKING OFF OF VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM BUT CANNOT HELP BECAUSE THE MILEAGE EXCEEDS WARRANTY COVERAGE, THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD.

WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER BRAKE SEIZED 3 TIMES BEFORE THE INCIDENT ON 4-8-19 WERE THOSE TIMES IT CORRECTED ITSELF BUT THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED THE RIGHT REAR TIRE LOCKED UP AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THE VEHICLE DRAGGED ONTO THE STREET AS THE OTHER THREE TIRES SPUN OUT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TRANSITTOWNE HYUNDAI (7420 TRANSIT RD, WILLIAMSVILLE, NY 14221, (716) 634-3000) TO BE DIAGNOSED; HOWEVER, THE TEST COULD NOT READ THE CODES. THE DEALER INSTALLED A NEW REAR BRAKE CALIPER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,020. *BF.*JB
AIRBAG SENOR CAME ON. NONE OF THE CONTROLS WORK ON MY STEERING WHEEL.
MY SON GOT TRAPPED IN THE REAR RIGHT PASSENGER SEATBELT WHILE IN PARKING AND IT GOT SO TIGHT AS IT WAS RETRACTING BACK. WE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE ISSUE AND SAW HIM PULLING IT HARD. THE MOMENT WE SAW HIM CRYING I HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT IMMEDIATELY AS IT BECAME SO TIGHT AROUND HIS TUMMY.
I WENT INTO THE DEALER TO GET AN OIL CHANGE ON 3/14/2019. THE DEALER CHOSE TO DO A FACTORY RECALL 50HYZ. SOON AS I LEFT THE DEALER MY CAR STARTED STALLING ON 495 NORTH TOWARDS TYSON CORNER IN VIRGINIA, JERKING AND LOST DRIVETRAIN POWER. I COULD GET TO 60MPH AND THE CAR WOULDN'T RESPOND AFTER THAT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER. I WAS TOLD THE SOFTWARE UPDATED BRICKED MY SONATA. THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY WILL ORDER THE PART AND WILL COME IN 3/21/2019 WHICH IS TODAY. ONLY TO GET A CALL SAYING THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER INTO MAY. MY QUESTION IS WHY ISN'T HOLDING HYUNDAI ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS? MY CAR ISN'T THE FIRST ONE TO GET THIS SOFTWARE UPDATE SO IF HYUNDAI KNOWS THIS SOFTWARE IS GOING TO BRINK PEOPLES CAR HOW IN THE HELL ARE THEY ALLOWED TO KEEP DOING THIS RECALL WHEN THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE?

THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO ON 3/3/2019, NOT ONLY DID MY ALARM NOT GO OFF WHEN THE WINDOW WAS SMASHED WHEN I SET MY ALARM ON THE CAR AND OPENED THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE THE CAR DID NOT GO OFF. THE POLICE OFFICER STATED THAT THIS IS A HAZARD ESPECIALLY ON A NEWER MODEL VEHICLE. THE POLICE OFFICER EVEN TESTED OUT THE ALARM WHILE THEY WERE HERE AND IT DID NOT GO OFF. I DONT UNDERSTAND AND I WOULD LIKE FOR THIS ISSUE TO BE FIX.
THE REAR SEAT BELTS LOCK UP AND HOLD THE OCCUPANTS TIGHT AGAINST THE SEATS. SO TIGHT IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO RELEASE THEM. COMPARED TO FRONT SEATS THE BELTS ARE FREE UNTIL A ABRUPT STOP
I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING AN INTERMITTENT BRAKING ISSUE WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL GIVES RESISTANCE AND WON'T FULLY ENGAGE UNTIL I LET MY FOOT OFF THE PEDAL AND PRESS AGAIN. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 5 MONTHS NOW, I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND ANOTHER BRAKE SHOP, NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE AN ISSUE. ALSO NO WARNING LIGHTS APPEAR
CAR HESITATES ON ACCELERATION ON AN INCONSISTENT BASIS. THE RPMS INCREASE QUITE A BIT BEFORE THE CAR ACCELERATES. USUALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS OR AFTER STOPPING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. CAR HAS DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION THAT IS PART OF CLASS ACTION SUIT.
ENGINE DYING WHILE IN MOTION ON THE FREEWAY, IT HAS ALSO HAPPEN 01/28/2019
I WAS DRIVING WEST ON A FOUR-LANE ROAD GOING 40-45 MPH, NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME, WHEN SUDDENLY THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ANY WARNING, STOPPING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY AND ABRUPTLY, ENOUGH SO IT THREW ARTICLES ON MY FRONT SEAT INTO THE FLOORBOARD. ANTILOCK BRAKES ENGAGED AT THE SAME TIME SHAKING THE CAR TO A STOP. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS IMMEDIATELY BEHIND ME AND THANKFULLY I WAS NOT ON AN INTERSTATE GOING 70 MPH! TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP THAT DAY, THEY KEPT IT OVERNIGHT AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. AFTER READING THAT OTHER 2016 SONATAS HAD DONE THE SAME THING, I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND DID NOT WANT IT ANY LONGER. THEY REFERRED ME TO HYUNDAI CORPORATE WHO DENIED MY CLAIM BECAUSE TESTING CAME UP WITH NO DEFECT, AND I ASSUME IS GOING TO PUT IT RIGHT BACK OUT ON THE STREETS!! I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO TRADE IT IN AND GET ANOTHER HYUNDAI, SINCE I WOULD NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE SELLING IT OUTRIGHT TO SOMEONE ELSE KNOWING THIS HAD HAPPENED. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH CORPORATE FOR ALLOWING THIS VEHICLE TO REMAIN ON THE ROADS WHEN THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FIRST COMPLAINT LIKE THIS IN THE 2016S.
THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED FAILED DURING COLD WEATHER. STEERING WHEEL LOCK WOULD NOT RELEASE WHEN TRYING TO TURN KEY, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE TRYING TO TURN KEY. WORRIED WHEEL LOCK COULD FAIL WHILE DRIVING. ALSO, I SEE THIS CAR HAD OTHER RECALLS WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED INFO FROM HYUNDAI ABOUT, I AM SECOND OWNER OF VEHICLE BOUGHT FROM HYUNDAI DEALER IN NORTHHAMPTON, MA.
HI, THE SONATA LIM THE LIGHT ISSUE IS NOT ONLY TERRIBLE, BUT I FEEL EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. WE BROUGHT IN THE CAR THIS WEEK FOR THIS ISSUE AND WITH THE SERVICE TEAM, DETERMINED THAT IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE LIMITED'S ONLY. THE NON-LIMITED VERSION, IF YOU LOOK AT THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY, ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS THE SAME, THE ENTIRE BULB IS ENCASED IN THE METAL/ALUMINUM. WHEN LOOKING AT THE SONATA LIMITED ONE, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE TOP EDGE OF THAT SAME HOUSING IS CUT OFF. THE DEALER ORDERED ANOTHER LIGHT ASSEMBLY AS THEY DIDN'T HAVE A LIMITED IN THEIR LOT, AND HE JUST CALLED TO TELL ME IT LOOKS IDENTICAL. I WILL HAPPILY JOIN ANY MOVEMENT TO GET THIS RECTIFIED.ITED

THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
SQUEALING NOISE CAME FROM ENGINE OFF/ON . THEN BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON THEN BATTERY WARNING SYSTEM DISPLAYED ON SCREEN. BY TIME I GOT TO MY MECHANIC THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL. MY MECHANIC FOUND SERPENTINE BELT TO BE RIPPED AND A METAL TENSIONER RIPPED APART.
ENGINE IS MAKING WEIRD RATTLING SOUND ON ACCELERATION AND BURNING OIL TOO MUCH. PRIOR TO 3000 MILES OIL CHANGE, CHECKED DIP STICK AND INDICATED NO OIL. LOW OIL ON DASHBOARD DID NOT CAME ON. BELIEVED THAT THE ENGINE CONSUMPTION IS OUT OF LIMIT. ROUGH IDLE AND ACCELERATION HESITATION WAS NOTICE.
WHEN I DRIVE MY SONATA, SOMETIMES THE GEARS DO NO SWITCH. I CAN DRIVE ON A FLAT OR INCLINED SURFACE AND IT WILL ACT UP. WE'VE TAKEN OUR CAR SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON. BUT WHEN THE CAR IS CONNECTED OR THE SERVICEMAN DRIVES THE CAR, THE CAR WILL SWITCH GEARS AND NOTHING IS FOUND ON THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. WE CURRENTLY DRIVING A FEW STATES OVER AND OUR CAR IS NOT SWITCHING GEARS AT TIMES, AFFECTING THE GAS MILEAGE. MY HUSBAND AND I WILL DECELERATE UNTIL GEARS SWITCH AND THEN ACCELERATE AGAIN.
VEHICLE EXHIBITS STICKY STEERING AND ENGINE HAS STALLED 3 TIMES. STEERING IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AS IT STICKS SEVERELY WHEN TRYING TO STEER OR MANEUVER THE VEHICLE ON ANY LOCAL ROAD OR HIGHWAY. VEHICLE HAS STALLED 3X ALREADY WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. VEHICLE SHAKES WHEN BRAKE IS RELEASED MOVING FROM A COMPLETE STOP.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION POSSIBLE ENGINE PROBLEM

GOSHEN HYUNDAI (5744, 3220 ELKHART RD, GOSHEN, IN 46526, (574) 875-5106) WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND HAD NOT ISSUED ANY SEAT BELT RECALLS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HEARD A GUNSHOT SOUND THEN GLASS STARTED FALLING. MY SUNROOF EXPLODED. HYUNDAI IS TRYING ALL THEY COULD TO NOT COVER THE ISSUE
GOT AN ENGINE LIGHT AT 37K MILES. TOOK THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP INITIALLY TOLD WAS VCM MOTOR, REPLACED, LEFT DEALER AND LIGHT CAME BACK ON, TOLD THEY FORGOT TO UPDATE SOFTWARE AFTER REPLACING VCM MOTOR, LEFT DEALER AND LIGHT CAME BACK ON. WENT BACK TO DEALER FOR THIRD TIME AND AFTER THEY CALLED HYUNDAI ENGINEERING THE DISCOVERED THAT THE ENTIRE MANIFOLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS IT WAS SOMEHOW WEDGED INTO THE ENGINE. WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY AS SHOULD BE. THIS SOMEWHAT HELPED MY ACCELERATION ISSUES BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUES BECAUSE IF ANYTHING FROM THE PLASTIC MANIFOLD BROKE OFF IN ENGINE IT WOULD CAUSE THE RODS TO BEND AND COULD CAUSE ENGINE TO SEIZE AND CATCH ON FIRE.
VEHICLE FAILS TO ACCELERATE OR ACTS AS IF IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF AND JUST RECENTLY I GOT IN VEHICLE STARTED IT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE STARTING IT FINALLY IT STARTED UP I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE TO READ THE CODE. THEY ADVISED ME THE CODE P200A IS VERY COMMON AMONG HYUNDAI AND IT MOST LIKE IS THE VCMA THAT NEEDS REPLACEMENT. AFTER DOING FURTHER RESEARCH THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE VCMA FAILING AND HAVING TO BE REPLACED. MY WARRANTY IS UP ON MY VEHICLE AND I FEEL THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HYUNDAI NEEDS TO ADDRESS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE GIVEN THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND COULD CAUSE HARM TO DRIVER OR OTHERS WHILE DRIVING THAT VEHICLE. ALSO WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE AND THE VEHICLE FAILS TO DO SO THERE IS A RATTLING NOISE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PETAL.
The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The oil warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stated that he had to top off the oil level every 3 weeks with 5 quarts of oil. The contact also stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle began to stall as the check engine light illuminated the instrument panel. Despite the failure, the contact was able to drive the vehicle home. The following day the contact drove the vehicle to a dealer. The contact had the spark plugs replaced by the dealer however, the failure recurred within a year of the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
THE OPERABLE PORTION OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IN THE MORNING WITH THE SUNROOF AND SHADE CLOSED. ABOUT 30% OF THE GLASS FAILED LEAVING A HOLE. THE REMAINING PORTION IS FILLED WITH FINE CRACKS. THE SUNROOF APPEARS BOWED UPWARDS NOW.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LIBERTY HYUNDAI (305 ROUTE 17 NORTH, MAHWAH, NJ 07430, 877-449-7781) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
IT INITIALLY STARTED AROUND A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. I WAS DRIVING AND MY OIL LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THINKING IT WAS NOT TOPPED OFF CORRECTLY SINCE THE LAST OIL CHANGE 2,700 MILES PRIOR TO THE LIGHT TURNING ON. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS "THERE WAS NO OIL ON THE DIPSTICK." PERFORMED AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. THE MOST RECENT REPORT SHOWED THAT MY "OIL WAS 3 QUARTS LOW". THE DEALER ADVISED ME TO TRADE THE CAR IN SINCE I DO NOT HAVE THE WARRANTY ON MY CAR ANYMORE TO FIX IT. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR LAST APRIL. I HAVE MAINTAINED THE CAR WITH IT'S RECOMMENDED SERVICES AND USE FULL SYNTHETIC OIL. I DRIVE A LOT OF HIGHWAY MILES, BUT I TAKE CARE OF MY CAR SINCE IT IS AN INVESTMENT. I CANNOT AFFORD TO FINANCE ANOTHER CAR. THANK YOU.
BULBS BURN OUT DUE TO OVERHEATING. EMERGENCY LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING DUE TO OVERHEATING
AFTER A STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE AND THE ENGINE STALLED OUT. ATTEMPTED TO RESTART AND ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT IT STARTED AND AS I ACCELERATED IT STATED TO BUCK AS THE TRANSMISSION MADE SOUNDS WHILE THE GEARS WERE STRUGGLED TO CHANGE. AS I GAVE IT MORE GAS THEY SLOWLY RECOVERED OVER THE NEXT MILE. TOOK IT IN FOR A CHECK TO HYUNDAI ON 8/29/18. CHECKED OUT OK WITH NO REASON.
LOSS OF ACCELERATION BETWEEN 3-4 RPM.. HARD ACCELERATION..LOSS OF ACCELERATION BEFORE SHIFTING BETWEEN 60-70MP.. THEN SLOWLY ACCELERATES. MAJOR PROBLEM IF ON HIGHWAY WHERE YOU MUST SPEED UP BUT CAR NOT QUICKLY SHIFTING GEARS AND IS RUNNING TOO SLOW.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE THERE IS A CLICKING OR TICKING NOISE AND THE CAR ACTS AS IF IT DOESN'T WANT TO ACCELERATE. I'VE TRIED GETTING A MECHANIC TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND HAVE EVEN REPLACED PARTS BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. I TRIED LOOKING ONLINE AND I FIND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and it was confirmed that no cause for the failure was found. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed as engine wear, due to a lack of proper lubrication The vehicle was not repaired. The contact then took the vehicle to another dealer, North Freeway Hyundai (20440 Interstate 45 N, Spring, TX 77373) where it was diagnosed as needing the engine to be flushed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 59,013.
THERE IS A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF STATING THAT THE WIND DEFLECTOR CAN DETACH AND CAUSE THE GLASS PANEL TO FALL OFF. I HAVE HAD THIS RECALL FIXED 3 TIMES ALREADY AND IT JUST HAPPENED FOR A 4TH TIME. ALL 4 TIMES IT HAPPENED AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO CATCH THE WIND DEFLECTOR BEFORE IF KNOCKED THE GLASS PANEL OFF AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE AND HYUNDAI'S LACK OF ABILITY TO FIX IT, I DO NOT BELIEVE MY CAR IS SAFE NOR DO I FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT. HAVING THIS HAPPEN FOR THE FOURTH TIME IS UNACCEPTABLE.
THE MIRROR PASSENGER SIDE, JUST BRAKE BY ITSELF... LIKE EXPLOTED. IT CAME OUT OF THE PROTECTOR, HIT THE GLASS AND BROKE IN PIECES, WITHOUT EVEN TOUCH IT.
THESE TIRES WERE PURCHAED ON A NEW VEHICLE (FACTORY TIRES) AND HAVE BEEN ROTATED REGULARLY, DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE. THE TREAD LIFE/WEAR ON THE TIRE IS PREMATURE. THE VEHICLE HAS A 60,000 MILE WARRANTLY ACCORDING TO KUMHO'S WEBSITE. I WAS INFORMED DURING MY LAST TIRE ROTATION THAT THIS WOULD BE LAST BEFORE NEEDING NEW TIRES. THE VEHICLE HAS 37,900 MILES WHEN I WAS TOLD THIS INFORMATION ON 4/2/18. THE TIRE WEAR/LIFE ON THESE TIRES IS EVIDENTLY PREMATURE AND I AM REQUESTING REPLACMENT TIRES OR A PRO-RATED REFUND/CREDIT.
THE POWER STEERING FAILED ON THIS VEHICLE WHILE IN DRIVE MODE ON 3/24/18, 3/27/18. ON 3/27/18 WHILE ON I495 HIGHWAY GOING 35-40 MPH THE STEERING WILL SUDDENLY LOCKED. A TRACTOR TRAILER HAD TO SWERVE IN ORDER TO AVOID HITTING MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP WHO STATED THAT IT IS AN EPS FAILURE .

ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE RPM TACHOMETER INCREASED AS THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
TAKATA RECALL WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTING TO LANE CHANGE OR ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND I PULL MY INDICATOR DOWN TO INDICATE THAT I'M GOING LEFT INSTEAD OF SHOWING LEFT IT INDICATES RIGHT TURN AND
I GOT THE CAR INSPECTED AND BALANCE, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL CAN'T BE UPRIGHT, IS ALWAYS TO THE LEFT SIDE AND NOBODY CAN FIX IT YET.
ON MY DRIVE HOME FROM WORK, THE CAR STARTED SMOKING. I WAS INITIALLY DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, BUT HAD JUST TURNED ONTO A SIDE STREET. THE SMOKE BEGAN TO GET WORSE AND WAS COMING INTO THE CABIN. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND AS SOON AS I COULD GET OUT OF THE CAR, THE CAR COMPLETELY ENGULFED INTO FLAMES. HYUNDAI WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE A CAUSE OF THE FIRE.

JENKINS HYUNDAI OF OCALA (352-815-2533, LOCATED AT 1602 COLLEGE RD SW, OCALA, FL 34471) REFUSED TO FINANCE THE REPAIRS AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE AND A CASE WORKER WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK IN A FEW DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
CAR LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING. THIS INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED 3 SEPARATE TIMES SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. IT IS UNSAFE, AND NO ENGINE INDICATOR LIGHTS HAVE EVER COME ON. THE CAR CONTINUES TO HAVE MOTOR ISSUES NOW THAT IT IS OUT OF HYUNDAI'S WARRANTY. HYUNDAI HAS NEVER FOUND A CLEAR SOLUTION AND CONTINUES TO "GUESS" AT FIXES AS ISSUE DOESN'T ALWAYS REPLICATE ITSELF DURING SERVICE. EVENT HAS HAPPENED 3 DIFFERENT DATES
I WAS DRIVING IN THE FREEWAY WHEN I HEARD AN EXTREMELY LOUD BOOM AND MY CAR STALLED. I RESTARTED MY CAR AND IT WAS DRIVEN HOME. CAR DEALER MECHANIC STATED IT WAS AN EXHAUST BACKFIRE AND BLAMED IT ON USING CHEAP ARCO GAS. I HAVE HAD ONE MORE STALL ON THE FREEWAY AROUND LAST APRIL.
MY CARS ENGINE HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING SEVERAL TIMES. IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT FIXED THE ISSUE FOR THE TIME BEING. THE SECOND ISSUE IS MY STEERING WHEEL HAS LOCKED WHILE I'VE BEEN DRIVING MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL THE CAR.
