MY 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE TRAILHAWK STARTED HAVING ISSUES WHERE TRACTION CONTROL WOULD ENGAGE WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND IT WOULD STAY ON UNTIL THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF. THIS PROGRESSED TO AN INSTANCE WHERE I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGED WHILE STOPPED AND THE ENGINE STALLED. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE JEEP DEALERSHIP AND THE ONLY CODE WAS TO CHECK WIRE CONNECTIONS, WHICH THEY SAID THEY DID. THE CAR DROVE FINE FOR ABOUT ONE DAY, THEN, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY, THE DASHBOARD AND RADIO WOULD START TO CUT OUT BRIEFLY AND COME BACK ON. ONCE I WAS OFF THE HIGHWAY AND STOPPED AT A LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL ENGAGED. AT THE NEXT LIGHT, THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. I USED A CODE READER AND THERE WERE NO CODES AVAILABLE. THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF THE CAR LOSES POWER WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND WILL NOT SHIFT GEARS, SERVICE PARK BRAKE.
TWICE, I WAS DRIVING AT 35 MPH OR LESS AND THE BRAKES ENGAGED AUTOMATICALLY ALL ON THEIR OWN, SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES FLASHING "BRAKE" MESSAGE IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND STOPPING THE CAR WHILE IN MOTION.THE CITY ROAD WAS DRY BOTH TIMES.FIRST TIME JUNE 12, 2018, TRAVELING 27 MPH, THERE WERE LARGE CONSTRUCTION BARRELS ALONG THE ROAD ON THE RIGHT SIDE, CARS ON LEFT, THE CAR IN FRONT WAS 1-1.5 CAR LENGTHS AWAY, MY CAR WAS IN THE RIGHT LANE, NO ITEMS ON THE ROAD SURFACE, MY CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION.DEALER COULDN'T FIND A STORED MESSAGE OR ANY PROBLEMS.SECOND TIME, AUGUST 18, 2018, DRIVING IN THE LEFT LANE, GRASS MEDIAN WITH TREES, NO CARS CLOSE (ALL WERE AT LEAST 2-3 CAR LENGTHS AWAY), NOTHING ON ROAD SURFACE, ABOUT 30 MPH, ON A CITY STREET. DEALER AGAIN COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING.THIS IS VERY SCARY. HOW DO I KNOW IF IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED AND THE CAR STOPS ABRUPTLY AND I GET REAR-ENDED AND DIE?
VEHICLE READ "SERVICE TRANSMISSION" WHILE ON INTERSTATE GOING APPROX. 60MPH. TWO MILES LATER ALL POWER TO ENGINE STOPPED. NO PROBLEMS WITH POWER TO CAR, AIR CONDITIONING, RADIO, ETC. TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE CONSISTENTLY, BUT LUCKILY I MADE IT HOME. WHEN PRESSING GAS PEDAL, TACHOMETER WOULD NOT MOVE AND IF IT DID, IT WOULD ACCELERATE WITH WHAT FELT LIKE IDLING POWER - NO ABILITY TO TRULY ACCELERATE.
I BOUGHT MY JEEP CHEROKEE 2014 AWD WITH 60K MILES ON IT. WITHIN IN 6 MONTHS, MY DASHBOARD SAID SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND IT WAS UNDRIVEABLE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS SOFTWARE ISSUE AND FIXED IT. NOT EVEN A YEAR LATER AND I HAD THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND IT IS NOW GETTING A NEW TRANSMISSION. OFTEN WHEN DRIVING, IT REVS VERY HIGH AND GOES NOWHERE, OR IF I'M CRUISING A PARKING LOT, ITS REVVING VERY HIGH AND WILL JERK INTO ANOTHER GEAR. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT I'VE HAD KNOW DRIVE SHAFT BEARING ANDS A NEW RADIO PUT IT. THE BIG ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION AND THE REPEATED TOWS, MISSING WORK, LATE TO WORK, ENGINE SHAKING, GRINDING, AND NOW BEING REPLACED. I'VE OWNED IT MY OWN FOR 1.5 YEARS, AM ALREADY AT THIS POINT. DEALERSHIP WON'T REPLACE IT, JUST TOLD ME I HAVE IT COVERED UNDER WARRANTLY AND OH WELL. THESE ISSUES HAVE HAPPENED WHEN STARTING MY CAR IN THE MORNING TO LEAVE MY DRIVEWAY, WON'T SHIFT INTO GEAR. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ATTEMPTING TO SWITCH LANES AND HAVE NO ACCELERATION SO I SLAM ON THE BRAKES BEFORE I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I KNOW IF IT DOESN'T TAKE OFF, ITS NOT GOING TO UNTIL I LEAST EXPECT IT.
9-SPEED AUTO TRANSMISSION WHICH MINE HAS ROUGH, DELAYED OR SUDDEN SHIFTING OR FAILURE TO SHIFT CONDITIONS WITH GRINDING OR OTHER LOUD NOISE DURING SHIFTING ' HARSH ENGAGEMENT OF GEARS; SUDDEN OR HARSH ACCELERATION/DECELERATION; SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER; PREMATURE TRANSMISSION WEAR OR FAILURE.
I FIRST EXPERIENCED WHAT FELT LIKE MY TRANSMISSION WASN'T SHIFTING PROPERLY RIGHT AWAY. I NOTICED IT IN LOWER GEARS. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I THEN STARTED TO EXPERIENCE MY ENGINE RANDOMLY STALLING. I WOULD BE GOING SLOW AND I WAS USUALLY TAKING A RIGHT TURN. I WENT TO TURN ON MY CAR AND IT SAID ENGINE FAILURE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID TO TOW IT TO THEM. I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE REASON MY CAR AHUT OFF WAS BECAUSE THERE WASN'T ANY OIL. I HAVE ALL MY RECORDS AND MY OIL HAD BEEN CHANGED AT A DEALERSHIP LESS THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR. SO THEY PUT OIL IN IT AND SAID I WAS FINE. WITHIN A WEEK MY CAR DIED TURNING RIGHT ON RAIL ROAD TRACKS IN AN INSTERSECTION. WE HAD TO HAVE A POLICE OFFICER COME AND PUSH US OFF THE TRACKS AND WAIT FOR US TO GET TOWED. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD MY THERE WAS A HARNESS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND IT WOULD COST $700! THEY SAID THAT HE HARNESS WAS UNDER MY HOOD WHEN I DID RESEARCH IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS IN MY TRUNK. THEY SAID IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO WATER DAMAGE. IN MY TRUNK? I DID RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS HARNESS WAS A COMMON ISSUE BUT IT DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUES I WAS HAVING. NOW IT IS A YEAR LATER AND WE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. MY SERVICE LIGHTS WILL TURN ON RANDOMLY. MY ENGINE STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 70 MPH. I AM AT A LOSS WHAT TO DO. MY TWO YEAR OLD HAS BEEN IN THE CAR WITH ME WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND I JUST WANT TO KNOW MY CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE.
EMERGENCY BRAKE IN GAGED. COULD NOT SHUT IT OFF. COULDN'T MOVE VEHICLE. HAD TO BE TOWED BY AAA.
ALTERNATOR HAS DIED UNDER 40,000 MILES AND REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. VEHICLE IS A V6 3.2L
VEHICLE ONCE AGAIN WENT INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. ALL THE SERVICE LIGHTS CAME ON. VEHICLE ROLLED TO A STOP AND SAID TRANSMISSION NEEDS SERVICE.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOPLIGHT THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON THE CAR SEEMED TO LOSE THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. IT RESET ITSELF ONCE WE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THEN WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MILES, IT DID IT AGAIN, THE SAME SCENARIO. THEN IT DID IT AN AGAIN THE THIRD TIME AND IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE SO WE HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PUT IT IN PARK. IT WAS DANGEROUS BECAUSE WE WERE IN A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION THE THIRD TIME. IT HAS DONE IT SEVERAL OTHER OCCASIONS AND THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GET KEEP IT FROM DOING THAT AGAIN IS TO DRIVE IN MANUAL MODE.
MY VEHICLE DOESN'T START WHEN I PRESS THE START BUTTON. I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKES AND TRY STARTING IT AGAIN. IT SEEMS TO BE A FUEL INTAKE ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING, LURCHING, AND REVVING. VEHICLE HAS PROBLEMS REGULARLY WITH SHIFTING AT APPROPRIATE TIMES. SOMETIMES LURCHING FORWARD AND SOMETIMES NOT SHIFTING WHEN SPEEDING UP. HAPPENS REGULARLY.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT AN INTERSECTION. LOSS OF MOTOR POWER OCCURRED. THE JEEP WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK, DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE PTU FAILED AS WELL AS THE OUTPUT SHAFT. IT NOW REQUIRES A NEW TRANSMISSION THAT CHRYLSER IS REFUSING TO FIX.
I AM EXPERIENCING A PROGRESSIVE MILD JERK WHEN ACCELERATING. I FEELS LIKE SOMETHING IS SKIPPING AND OR MISSING...... TIMING IS OFF... I WILL TAKE MY CAR FOR A SERVICE NEXT WEEK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION GEARS SLIPPED WITHOUT WARNING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING AT A STOP, A WARNING INDICATOR NEAR THE GEAR BOX INDICATED THAT THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED WHEN IT REALLY WAS NOT. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLED SEVERAL TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT*JB
OUR TEENAGE BOYS WERE TRAVELING AT A SAFE SPEED, DID NOT HIT A POTHOLE OR OTHER OBJECT, AND DID NOT SWERVE WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE SNAPPED. THIS DIRECTED THEM INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AND THEN THEY PROCEEDED TO SKID APPROXIMATELY SIXTY FEET DOWN A ROAD. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED ON A WELL PAVED ROAD IN THE POCONO MOUNTAINS, PA. ALTHOUGH A WINDING ROAD THE AXLE SNAPPED DURING A STRAIGHT PORTION.
VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE IN MOTION. THIS HAPPENED TODAY 7/26/18 AND 2 OTHER TIMES THIS PAST MONTH. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OR OTHER WARNINGS. AFTER SHUTTING OFF NOTHING ON THE VEHICLE WORKS NOT EVEN HAZARD LAMPS.
HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SINCE MARCH, 2015 WITH THE NEW 9-SPEED ZF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DROPPING OUT OF GEAR INTO NEUTRAL, NOT SHIFTING WHILE TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, LOW SPEEDS, ETC. HAVE TAKEN IT TO FARRISH, CJD IN FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, HOOVER CJD IN SUMMERVILLE, SC AND RICK HENDRICKS CJD IN NORTH CHARLESON, SC. ALL WERE "UNABLE TO DUPLICATE" THE SHIFTING PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO MY MAINTENANCE RECORDS, THE 'WIRING HARNESS RECALL' WAS ACCOMPLISHED ON JULY 12, 2016. SINCE THAT TIME, THE TRANSMISSION HAS HAD THE SAME ISSUES AT LEAST ONCE EACH WEEK, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES. FOLLOWING ARE THE LATEST PROBLEMS I'VE RECENTLY HAD: 1. FRIDAY, JUNE 29TH'WHEN I1ST CRANKED, SERVICE TRANSMISSION CAME ON IN THE HEADS-UP DISPLAY AND THE JEEP WOULDN'T GO INTO REVERSE. 2. MONDAY, JUL 2, '18 ' WHILE DRIVING, CAR SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR. 3. FRIDAY, JUL 20TH, '18' SERVICE TRANSMISSION CAME ON IN HUD WHILE DRIVING AT 25 TO 30 MPH. JEEP WOULDN'T SHIFT TO HIGHER GEAR. JEEP TRAVELS BUT NEVER SHIFTS AND RPMS INCREASED TO OVER 3000. STOPPED CAR AT MY DESTINATION, CUT IT OFF AND ALLOWED IT TO RESET, AND WORKED FINE ON MY DRIVE HOME. 4. FRIDAY, JUL 20TH-WHILE DRIVING IN NORTH CHARLESTON, SERVICE TRANSMISSION CAME ON IN HUD AND THE JEEP FELT LIKE IT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. NO POWER! JEEP WENT FROM 2400 RPMS TO CLOSE TO 1000 RPMS. FLOORED ACCELERATOR AND HAD NO POWER AND JEEP WOULD BARELY MOVE. 5. MONDAY, JUL 23, 18-WHILE DRIVING 25 TO 30 MPH, SERVICE TRANSMISSION CAME ON THE HUD AND JEEP WOULDN'T SHIFT TO HIGHER GEAR. RPMS INCREASED BUT IT WOULDN'T SHIFT TO THE NEXT GEAR. FROM A STOP, IT APPEARED TO SHIFT OUT OF FIRST BUT WOULDN'T SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR. I HAVE VIDEOS OF THE ABOVE MULTIPLE INCIDENTS.
HAD MY JEEP IN THURSDAY LAST WEEK DUE TO SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL ON HIGHWAY. THEY DID TWO SOFTWARE UPDATES SAID IT SHOULD BE FIXED. WAS ON HIGHWAY LAST NIGHT AND IT SHIFTED AGAIN INTO NEUTRAL. THIS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALL,S55/NHTSA 16V-529 FROM 2016, BUT IT IS NOT FIXED PROPERLY WHICH CAN CAUSE LACK OF FORWARD MOTION AND ACCIDENTS. HAVE TO AGAIN TAKE IT BACK TO THE JEEP DEALER AND FIGHT TO EVEN GET IT LOOKED AT.
WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, I WAS ON A CITY STREET, THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING 10MPH. THE DASH SCREEN STATED, "PLACE IN 'P' THEN SELECT GEAR." I THEN PLACED THE CAR IN PARK AND TRIED TURNING THE IGNITION BUT IT DID NOT START. I HAD TO GET A STRANGER TO JUMP START MY CAR AND EVENTUALLY THE CAR STARTED. THIS HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND SINCE THEN THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED, VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHILE PULLING INTO A GAS STATION ON A CITY STREET AND IT RANDOMLY STALLED. I TURNED THE IGNITION AND IT STARTED UP. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND THANKFULLY ON BOTH OCCASIONS THERE HAS BEEN NO CAR DRIVING BEHIND ME.
VEHICLE DIED ON MAIN ROAD JUST OVER 30000 MILES SAID IT WAS THE UCONNECT . TURNS OUT AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF OF THEM HAVING IT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. RUFF SHIFTS OVER ACCELERATES. SUSPENSION RIGHT AFTER THAT. DIED ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 55!!! SEMI TRUCK ALMOST KILLED MY FAMILY. TOOK DEALERSHIP OVER A WEEK TO EVEN LOOK AT IT SAID IT WAS A SENSOR. DIED AGAIN 4WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT CAME ON. SAID IT WAS A MODULE. NOW THEY SAY ITS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND ITS ON BACK ORDER AND CAN TAKE UP TO 2 WEEKS. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE. TRANSMISSION CONSTANTLY GOES OUT. AFRAID MY FAMILY WILL GET HURT
TODAY, 7/19/18, I WAS DRIVING AND MY JEEP SEIZED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ND SERVICE TRANSMISSION ERROR. THANKFULLY, I WAS NOT HIT AND WAS ABLE TO MANUALLY SHIFT OUT TO GET THE TRANNY TO WORK AGAIN. THIS WAS PART OF RECALL # NHTSA 16V-529, ISSUED IN 2016. I HAD THE RECALL FIXED ON JULY 12,2016. TE FIX IS NOT CORRECTING THIS ISSUE PUTTING PEOPLE' LIVES AT RISK. HAVING YOUR CAR SEIZE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY IS NOT ONLY DANGEROUS TO ME, BUT TO OTHER DRIVERS AS IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A MASSIVE PILEUP. JEEP NEEDS TO ISSUE A PERMANENT CORRECTION JEEP ALSO WILL NOT PROVIDE A LOANER OR ANY OPTIONS SO I AM WITHOUT A VEHICLE I PAID A LOT OF MOENY FOR. .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTED. THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE CORRECT GEAR AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO PROVIDE PROPER ACCELERATION DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS ALSO REPLACED HOWEVER, THE REPAIRS FAILED TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILLION AUTO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (5910 S. LOUISE AVENUE SIOUX FALLS, SD 57108, (844) 235-5193) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
WHEN USING THE CRUISE CONTROL IT EXCELERATES WHEN GOING DOWNHILL AND DOESN'T DISENGAGE WHEN BREAKING OR TURNING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS HAS BEEN A CONTINUING PROBLEM.
AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR, I SUDDENLY SMELLED GASOLINE WHILE DRIVING AND NOTICED THE CAR WAS HARD TO START. TURNS OUT THE FUEL PUMP UNIT HAS A CRACK IN THE TOP WHICH IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I AM PRESENTLY AWAITING THE $650 PART AND THE CAR WILL BE REPAIRED NEXT WEEK ($190 LABOR). THE THING IS, I WAS INITIALLY TOLD BY MY REPUTABLE CAR REPAIR SHOP OWNER THAT HE HAS SEEN THIS PROBLEM SEVERAL TIMES OVER AND IS PRETTY SURE THERE IS A RECALL AGAINST IT, THUS NO INITIAL CHARGE. FOR WHATEVER THE REASON, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER REPORTED INCIDENT OF THIS SPECIFIC NATURE. NONETHELESS, THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE AND IS WHY I AM REPORTING IT (IN ADDITION TO HAVING TO SPEND $840 TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM).
I BOUGHT THE JEEP 8/2017 AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MID 2018 AND COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE JEEP ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN WHILE I'M DRIVING THAT I HAVE TO PUT MY FOOT IN THE BREAK TO SLOW THE JEEP DOWN. RIGHT AFTER THE DEALERSHIP FINISHED THEIR TESTING THEY STATED THAT THEY DIDN'T NOTICE ANY ACCELERATION WITH THE JEEP WAS FINE BUT IT WAS STILL ACCELERATING WHILE I DRIVE IT AND RIGHT AFTER I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP THE ENGINE STARTED KNOCKING MAKING A TICKING SOUND AND HAD BEEN DOING IT A YEAR AFTER I BROUGHT IT. I'M SCARED I WILL GET IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO SPEED UP (ACCELERATES) ON ITS OWN. THIS HAPPENS ON THE CITY STREETS MOSTLY AND MORE IF I'M GOIN DOWN A SMALL HILL WITH MY FOOT ON THE BREAK IT AUTOMATICALLY SPEEDS UP AND THE ENGINE REVES UP PAST 3 TO 4 RPM WITH MY FOOT IN THE BREAK. MY ELECTRIC PROBLEM IS THE RADIO AND BACKUP CAMERA DOESN'T NOT ALWAY COME ON WHEN I TURN ON THE JEEP SOME TIMES IT TAKES LIKE 5 MINS FOR IT TO COME OUT OR IT COMES IN AFTER I'VE DRIVE A FEW BLOCKS. I LET THE CAR RUN AND WARM UP BEFORE I PULL OFF.

THE SECOND TIME WE TURNED LEFT AND ABOUT +200 FROM THE TURN. THE JEEP IS CONFIGURED WITH SUPPLEMENTAL BRAKING, LIGHTS, TOW BAR, AND BREAK AWAY KIT. WE TOW IT WITH A 40' DIESEL PUSHER RV ABOUT 34K LBS. MY REQUEST IS TO HAVE JEEP MAKE THIS FIX MANDATORY INSTEAD OF ELECTIVE.
