THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 06V493000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTI LOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE) BUT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.

WHILE TRYING TO STOP ON SLIPPERY SURFACES 3 OUT OF 5 TIMES MY ABS IS NON EXISTENT AND MY WHEELS LOCK UP I FIRST NOTICED THIS IN DECEMBER 2009. LAST NIGHT I WAS DRIVING ON A ICY SNOW COVERED ROAD. I WAS COMING TO A STOP SIGN, I APPLIED MY BRAKES AND I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS STOPPING. I GAVE THE PEDAL MORE PRESSURE AND I STARTED TO FISHTAIL ALMOST COLLIDING WITH A PARKED VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 110,000.
