WHILE DRIVING MY CAR AT 50 MPH ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON INDICATING THAT THE ENGINE HAD TURNED OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES BUT BOTH THOSE TIMES THE CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION. I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE CAR TURNS ITSELF BACK ON. I AM VERY FEARFUL THAT THE CAR MAY TAKE LONGER TO TURN ITSELF BACK ON AND I WILL HAVE LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKING. I HAVE NOTICE OF A P41/NHTSA 14V-438 RECALL BUT AM TOLD THE FIX IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. DUE TO THE LENGTH OF TIME I AM REQUESTING ANOTHER VEHICLE TO BE PROVIDED UNTIL MY CAR CAN BE FIXED AS I AM VERY FEARFUL OF A CRASH. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 81, OUR LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. ABOUT 10 SECONDS LATER OUR REAR PASSENGER TIRE EXPLODED CAUSING OUR VEHICLE TO JERK TO THE RIGHT AND WEAVE BACK AND FORTH. WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OFF OF THE ROAD AND WHEN INSPECTING THE TIRE, BLACK SMOKE WAS ROLLING FROM THE TIRE AND THE TIRE WAS IN SHREDS. THE WALL OF THE TIRE COMPLETELY EXPLODED. THE TIRES WERE PUCHASED ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO. THEY ARE HANKOOK DYNAPRO A7-M P245/65R17 TIRES. THEY ARE NOT ON THE RECALL LIST, BUT SHOULD BE. WE ARE NOW SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR FEAR ONE OF THE THREE OTHER HANKOOK TIRES WILL EXPLODE. WE ARE THANKFUL THAT WE WERE NOT INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AS OUR GRANDSON WAS IN HIS CARSEAT IN THE BACKSEAT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. *TR

VEHICLE IS AN AUTOMATIC, SUDDENLY ATTEMPTED TO MANUALLY SHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN TO 5 MILES AN HOUR AND THE RPMS STARTED TO RED LINE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON ALL DAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS WITHOUT WARNING.
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40MPH MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED DINGING AND BLINKING. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS OF THIS THE ENGINE POWERED DOWN ( RPM READ 0). ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS STAYED ON (RADIO, LIGHTS, ECT) THEN WITHIN 10 SECONDS THE ENGINE STARTED BACK UP. WHEN THE VEHICLE RESTARTED ITSELF THE ESP SHOWED BEING DISABLED AND THE RPM'S WHERE HIGHER THAN NORMAL. ANY ACCELERATION/DECELERATION THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD DING AND BLINK. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE IT FIRST OCCURRED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO TWO MECHANICS TO BE SERVICED. THE VEHICLE DISPLAYED RANDOM CODES AT BOTH SHOPS. *TR
I WAS ON THE FREEWAY STOPPED IN TRAFFIC BUT DRIVING SLOWLY AS TRAFFIC MOVED WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE THE STEERING WHEEL THE BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL FELT REALLY STIFF SO WHEN THAT HAPPENED I JUST PUT THE TRUCK ON PARK AND TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AND AFTER DOING THAT IT DROVE NORMALLY. *TR

DURING A RECENT BRAKE JOB, I REMOVED MY BRAKE ROTORS. MY JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE (2005) HAS A COMBINATION DISK AND DRUM BRAKE SYSTEM IN THE REAR IN A SINGLE ROTOR. THE DRUM BRAKES ARE FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM. WHEN I REMOVED THE REAR ROTORS ONE OF THE DRUM BRAKE PADS FELL OFF ON THE FLOOR. I CHECKED THE OTHER THREE PADS FROM BOTH REAR TIRES AND ALL OF THEM WERE ON THE VERGE OF COMING OFF. THEY APPEAR TO BE GLUED ON AND GLUE FAILED. THESE ARE FACTORY INSTALLED BRAKE PADS.
