PROBLEM WITH INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS AND AC COMING ON WITH TURNING ON IGNITION OR STARTING THE VEHICLE. IGNITION WAS REPLACED A YEAR PLUS AGO UNDER THE RECALL. I CAN SHUT OFF THE CAR AND USUALLY GET THEN TO WORK. THIS IS A BIG CONCERN FOR DRIVING ESP. HAS NOT GONE OFF WHILE DRIVING AT THIS POINT ALTHOUGH!
'TAKATA RECALL' MY DOOR HANDLES HAVE COMPLETELY CRACKED IN MY FRONT SEATS TO THE POINT THEY ARE VERY LOOSE AND HAVE TO BE PULLED ALL THE WAY OUT JUST TO OPEN THE DOOR. MY BACKSEAT HANDLES ARE COMPLETELY OFF. I WAS PARKED AT HOME WHEN THE BACK RIGHT CAME OFF. AT THE GAS STATION WHEN MY SON PULLED THE HANDLES IN THE BACK LEFT CAME OFF.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE I RECEIVE A MESSAGE ON THE INFO CENTER DISPLAYING "TRANSMISSION OVER TEMP" THE FAN KICKS ON HIGH AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT GO FASTER THAN 25MPH. I HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF, WAIT 30 SECONDS, TURN IT BACK ON AND IT GOES AWAY. HAD MY VEHICLE AT THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AND HAD IT THOROUGHLY LOOKED THROUGH AND THE PCM IS TO BLAME. IT IS VERY COMMON ON THESE VEHICLES. I FEEL IT IS A SAFTEY CONCERN DUE TO THE "TRANSMISSION OVER TEMP" DISPLAYING EVERY COUPLE OF MILES AS I DRIVE. CALLING CHRYSLER DIRECTLY TO ASK OF THE PROBLEM AND THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME. NOT HAPPY!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE CONTACT STARTED THE ENGINE AND PLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER IN DRIVE. SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY ACCELERATED AND STRUCK A PARKED VEHICLE. THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE PRESENT, BUT NO REPORTS WERE FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. ON TWO PREVIOUS OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BAXTER CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP (2010 S 124TH CIRCLE, LA VISTA, NEBRASKA 68128) FOR THE SAME FAILURE IN JANUARY AND MARCH, BUT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.
WILL GO INTO 3RD GEAR WHEN IT IS STARTED AND HAS TO BE TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED BEFORE IT WILL GO INTO DRIVE. ALSO IT SHOWS A CODE OF " SERVICE 4X DRIVE" AT RANDOM TIMES.
AIRBAG LIGHT REFUSES TO GO OFF. I'VE BEEN TOLD THE AIRBAG IS DISABLED.
ALL 4 INTERIOR DOOR OPENING HANDLES BREAKING/FAILING: 1 REAR DOOR TOTALLY INOPERABLE. ***THIS IS A DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE ' IF HANDLES BREAK OR ARE INOPERABLE IN CERTAIN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, PASSENGERS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!*** MANUFACTURER CHARGE TO REPLACE/REPAIR HANDLES IS PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE: IN MY CASE, THE COST OF EIGHT (8) MONTHLY CAR PAYMENTS! MANUFACTURER SAFETY RECALL WARRANTED!'
THE JEEP WILL RANDOMLY NOT WANT TO BEGIN DRIVING AFTER PUTTING INTO DRIVE FROM A STATIONARY POSITION AND THEN YOU WILL HEAR AND FEEL A LOUD "THUMP" AND THE TRANSMISSION GETS STUCK IN 3RD GEAR. MOST OF THE TIME I CAN TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO FIX IT BUT SOMETIMES IT DOESNT WORK THAT EASILY. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES PER WEEK.
REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLE NO LONGER OPENS THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. DOOR HANDLE IS LOOSELY FLOPPING AROUND. THE DOOR MUST BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS WAS FIRST FOUND WHEN THE STOPPED AND MY SON COULDN'T GET THE DOOR OPEN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 58 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT IT ALSO TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD AND FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE FORWARD AND THE RPMS INCREASED. THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY CAME TO A STOP. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 161,679.
OK I'M FULLY AWARE MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 3 RECALLS WELL TECHNICALLY SPEAKING 2 CAUSE ONES A RECALL ON THE RECALL WAITING FOR THAT RECALL TO BE RECALLED. THIS WHOLE PROCESS IS INSANE MY VEHICLE HAS TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING HAS UNPARKED ITSELF SHIFTED ON ITS OWN HAD THE LIGHTS FLICKER I HAVE EVEN BEEN PULLED OVER MUTIPLE TIMES FOR THESE PROBLEMS TWICE WHEN THE JEEP DECIDED IT WAS GONNA STOP ACCELERATING 3 TIMES BECAUSE THE LIGHTS START FLICKERING SOMETIME JUST INSIDE SOMETIMES JUST THE OUTSIDE AND MOST RECENTLY ALL THE LIGHTS JUST STOPPED WORKING VEHICLE STILL RUNNING MADE IT ABOUT 10 FEET AFTER THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AND SURE ENOUGH BEFORE I COULD EVEN PULL OF TBE ROAD BLUE LIGHTS I'VE HAD THE VEHICLE LESS THEN 60 DAYS IT'S STALLED WHILE SITTING STILL IT'S STALLED WHILE DRIVING IT'S SHUT OFF WHILE IDLE AND WHILE DRIVING. ITS SHIFTED ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING AND IDLE MOST RECENTLY I WAS CHECKING THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WITH THE CAR IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY THE SUPPORT ARMS ARE DEAD SO I USED MY HANDY DANDY BLOCK O WOOD TO HOLD IT OPEN WELL I PULL THE DIPSTICK FROM THE TRANSMISSON IT WAS A LITTLE LOW SO I TURN AROUND TO GRAB MY FUNNEL AND A BOTTLE OF FLUID AND I BEFORE I CAN EVEN TURN ALL THE WAY AROUND MY PARKED CAR IS ROLLING TOWARDS ME AND SO I DIDNT GET PINNED BETWEEN MY JEEP AND MY SHED I TIRED TO STEP INTO THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT MY LEGS FROM GETTING STUCK WELL I'M PRETTY TALL AND MY HEAD HIT HE HOOD WITCH LIFTED IT SLIGHTLY AND MY BLOCK O WOOD FELL OUT WITCH LEAD TO THE HOOD PUSHING MY FACE INTO THE RUNNING CAR LUCKILY A BUSTED FLIP AND A SLIGHT BURN TO MY NECK WAS ALL THAT HAPPENED NOW I UNDERSTAND THAT A BLOCK O WOOD IS NOT STANDARD SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND I UNDERSTAND THAT A CAR ROLLING IN NETURAL A COUPLE FEET WILL MORE THEN LIKELY NOT PIN ANYONE BUT ALL I KNEW WAS THE PARKED CAR WAS MOVING I DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WAS GONNA SPEED UP OR WHAT I NEED MORE ROOM
MY 38K MILE DRIVER JEEP DOOR HANDLE PANEL SHATTERED AND INJURED MY HAND.
THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ON BOTH DRIVER SIDE ARE BROKEN. THE BACK DRIVER PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE FINALLY BROKE. THE DRIVER DOOR INTERIOR HANDLE IS GOING TO GO NEXT. IM JUST WORRIED ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF IT BREAKS IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT OR IF MY CAR CATCHES FIRE. ITS A HAZARD AND SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I WAS IM MY DRIVEWAY WHEN IT BROKE.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 65-70 AND I LOST ALL THROTTLE RESPONSE SO MY SPEED FELL TREMENDOUSLY AND I PUT ON MY HAZARDS AND I HAD TO GET OVER AVOIDING TRAFFIC. ALMOST GOT INTO A WRECK BEFORE I GOT INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE. ONCE I PULLED OVER I TURNED IT OFF AND TURNED MY CAR BACK ON AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME TWICE BEFORE I GOT HOME. IT WAS MY SCARIEST RIDE HOME. I CALLED THE DEALER SHIP AND I TOOK IT IN. THEY TOLD ME TO REPLACE MY THROTTLE BODY SO I DID THIS AND HAD IT REPROGRAMMED. DROVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS AND IT DID THE SAME THING. THEY SAID THIS IT MIGHT BE A BAD THROTTLE BODY BUT I'VE BEEN READING AROUND AND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND THERE DEALERSHIPS HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT'S IS.

REAR DOOR HANDLE BROKE DUE TO FAULTY PLASTIC. ALL THE OTHER DOOR HANDLES ARE CRACKING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS THE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE WHEN THE HANDLE FALLS OFF.
FROUNT STABLIZER BAR NIT COMES LOOSE AND RATTLES...INTERIOR DOOR PANELS ALL 4 BROKE THE PANELS BROKE AROUND DOOR HANDLE AND BOTH IN REAR DO NOT EVEN OPEN AT THIS POINT..BOUTH FROUNT DOOR PANELS ARE CRACKED OUT OF PLACE AND HANGING..BARELY WORKE ...TO EXIT VECHIEL...NO HITCH OR TOE BAR WAS ON VECHIEL..SO CANT TOE ANYTHING..BUT TOE PACKAGE IS IN CONTROLS..CONFUSED...LOVE MY JEEP..HEATER CORE JUST WENT OUT IN IT ..BUT REALLY CONCERNED ABOUY DOOR PANELS AND BEING ABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN IN VECHILE IN CASE OF ACCIDENT...NO WAY OUT FOR THEM ...VERY ALARMING CONDITIONS FOR JEEP OWNERS....PLEASE RESPOND...2005. JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED EDITION.
MIDDLE BACKSEAT SEATBELT IS STUCK UNFASTENED, UNABLE TO FASTEN SEATBELT, UNABLE TO PLACE SMALL CHILDREN OR BABIES IN THE MIDDLE SEAT. MIDDLE SEATBELT IS NOT A LAP BELT, IT GOES ACROSS THE CHEST. SAFEST SEAT IS NOW THE MOST UNSAFE POSITION IN THE CAR. WHEN TRYING TO START THE IGNITION, THE KEY HAS TO BE TURNED SEVERAL TIMES AND CAN TAKE UP TO FIVE MINUTES UNTIL THE CAR IGNITION WILL TURN ON TO START CAR.
PASSENGER AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT REMAINS ON.
P41 Ignition switch recall was completed on my vehicle 11/2015. Prior to receiving recall notification I experienced no problems with accidently hitting the key while driving. Now I am experiencing great difficulty turning the ignition switch. One of my vehicle keys broke off while trying to turn the car on to drive. Most times I get in the car to go somewhere there is always an issue getting the key to turn allowing the car to turn on. The warranty for the recall has expired and I am very upset that there is nothing that can be done to rectify this problem without having out of pocket expenses. This is very frustrating and I am afraid my last key is going to break off while trying to start vehicle.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BREAK AND ALLOW UNFILTERED EXHAUST FUMES INTO THE CABIN. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS AT CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE OR FIX THE PROBLEM. BOLTS INSTALLED ARE 8MM INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD 10MM.

AIR BAG LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY FLASHING AND RENDERING CRUISE CONTROL USELESS. EVERYTHING WORK AS NECESSARY, THEN ONE DAY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO GET ON HIGHWAY, I PRESSED CRUISE CONTROL ONLY FOR IT TO FLASH IN THE DASH PANEL, THEN DISAPPEAR. ONCE OFF THE HIGHWAY TO MY DESTINATION, I TURNED THE GRAND CHEROKEE OFF. WHEN I GOT BACK IN THE VEHICLE, THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYED ON FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES THEN SHUT OFF. DURING THE TIME OF THE AIR BAG LIGHT ON, I WAS ABLE TO PRESS THE CRUISE CONTROL AND HAVE IT STAY ON THE DASH PANEL, BUT I STILL HAD NO USE OF IT. ONCE THE AIR BAG LIGHT SHUT OFF, I THEN PRESSED CRUISE CONTROL AGAIN JUST FOR IT TO FLASH ON THEN BACK OFF. NOW THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING OR STAYS ILLUMINATED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS BEING USED. MY JEEP JUST PASSED 125,000 MILES. THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO SUCHA LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE FOR THE AGE.. WHO WILL FIX THIS MESS?
A LOT OF OWNERS OF THE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE DIM HEAD LIGHTS AND TROUBLE STARTING THE CAR . THE CAR SIMPLY WON'T START YOU HAVE TO CRANK IT ABOUT 20 TIMES . THE CAR WILL SOMETIMES TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING IN THE ROAD
ALL 4 INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE BROKEN OFF THE CAR AFTER REGULAR USE. MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SOMEONE OPENING IT FROM THE OUTSIDE. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THE PLASTIC THAT MAKES UP THE DOOR HANDLE BREAKS APART BECAUSE IT WAS POORLY MADE. THIS WOULD BE EXTREMELY DEADLY IF IT HAPPENED TO SOMEONE DURING A FIRE IN THE CAR.
BOUGHT USED 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE FROM KENDALL CJD IN MIAMI ON JUNE 10TH. ON SEPT 28TH I STOPPED AT A GAS STATION TO GET A DRINK AND JEEP WOULD NOT RESTART. I HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP AND WAS TOLD I DROPPED A VALVE SEAT AND BLEW A HOLE IN THE #4 PISTON....WHAT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS CAN HAPPEN. THIS JEEP ONLY HAD 72,000 MILES AND I PAID A PREMIUM BECAUSE OF THAT.
JEEP WAS PARKED AND WHEN RETURNED TO START , A LOT OF CLANKING IN ENGINE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED AND WAS TOLD A VALVE SEAT DROPPED AND THE MOTOR HAS TO BE REPLACED.
SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER OF 2017 AS I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE PARKWAY MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PICKING UP SPEED. NO POWER SO HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF ROAD AND THE DROVE TO PEP BOYS TO HAVE THE MECHANICS TAKE A LOOK AT IT. WAS IN THE SHOP FOR ABOUT A WEEK.
BEEN WAITING SOMETIME FOR THE DEALER TO GET HIS PART FOR MY RECALL IN ADDITION TO THIS THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE SMOKING AND THE MOTOR IS RUNNING ERRATIC I BELIEVE THIS IS A BIG PIECE OF JUNK AND GOVERNMENT SHOULD BUY BACK. THE JEEP WAS A BIGGEST LEMON EVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (DE COZEN CHRYSLER/JEEP IN VERONA, NJ) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 164,000.
VEHICLE WAS ACTING LIKE THERE WAS A FLAT TIRE. THE ENGINE STOPPED AND WOULD NOT START. TOWED TO A MECHANIC. DIAGNOSED WITH COMPRESSION COMING BACK TO INTAKE. RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE ENGINE. SAID COULD BE DROPPED VALVE SEAT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ILLUMINATED, THE HEADLIGHTS CEASED TO FUNCTION WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, THE VEHICLE IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING! THE SPEEDOMETER RANDOMLY DROPS TO ZERO AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF! FOR THIS REASON, I AM SCARED TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY IN FEAR THAT IT WILL CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT. ALSO, IT WILL NOT TURN BACK ON IMMEDIATELY. I HAVE TO LET IT SIT FOR AROUND 5 MINUTES BEFORE IT WILL TURN BACK ON.
I PURCHASED MY 05 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 3.7L V6 WITH 79K MILES ON IT JUNE 21, 2016. IN JULY OF 2017, IT STARTED TO BOG DOWN WITH A CONSTANT SHUTTER WHEN STARTING UP AND ACCELERATING, THE CEL WAS ALSO ON. I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE THE CEL CHECKED OUT AND IT WAS SHOWING 22 CODES SAYING THAT THE O2 SENSOR HAD A HIGH VOLTAGE CIRCUIT. UPON EXAMINNG AND TESTING THE O2 SENSOR THERE WAS NOTHING FOUND TO BE WRONG. A COUPLE WEEKS LATER THE CEL CAME ON AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME IT SHOWED THE SAME O2 SENSOR WAS RUNNING LEAN AND RICH AT THE SAME TIME. I REPLACED THE SENSOR AT THAT TIME. NOW IT IS SHOWING ANOTHER CODE P0430 AND THE TIMING CHAIN FOR THE ELECTRONIC SHIFT TRANSMISSION IS JUMPING. I WAS INFORMED THIS HAPPENS TO THESE TRANSMISSIONS ALL THE TIME AND THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR IT. ALL I CAN DO IS DRIVE IT UNTIL IT GOES AND BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION. THIS IS NOT FAIR
GETTING INDICATIONS THAT ELECT- BRAKE PROBLEM INDICATIONS, SKID CONTROL INDICATIONS, AND AIR CONDITIONER NOT WORKING.
ALL DOOR PANEL ARE BROKEN (FRONT AND REAR) AND IT'S DIFFICULT AND HARD FOR A DRIVER AND PASSENGERS TO OPEN IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
DOOR HANDLES HAVE CRUMBLED INTO NOTHING, EVERY DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM INSIDE THIS IS RIDICULOUSLY AN EMERGENCY EXIT PROBLEM, JUST LIKE OLD REFRIDGERATOR DOORS AND KIDS GETTING LOCKED INSIDE, JUST THINK IF A CHILD CRAWALED INTO THE JEEP ON A 90-100 DEGREE DAY , THIS IS CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE, HOW CAN YOU MAKE SUCH A PASSENGER DEATH TRAP , AND NOT FIX THIS , THERE IS OVER 1MILLION JEEPS WITH THIS PROBLEM , YEA HOW DO YOU ESCAPE A FIRE , OR FLOOD, THOUGHT JEEP WAS AMERICAN MADE , BEST OF THE BEST, GET YOU THERE AND BACK SAFELY, GUESS JUST NOT IN OR OUT LIKE THE BACK SEAT OF A COP CAR , OR YOUR FAMILIES TOMB.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 32168861. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,352.
ELECTRONIC SHIFTER MODULE HAD GONE OUT. PARK REVERSE NEUTRAL IN AND DRIVE ARE THE ONLY FUNCTIONS AVAILABLE. TO DOWNSHIFT FROM DRIVE FOURTH, THIRD, SECOND, AND FIRST HAVE LOST ALL ABILITY. PRIMARILY THE DRIVING OF THE VEHICLE IS THROUGH THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO AND THE ABILITY TO DOWNSHIFT IS NECESSARY TO AVOID COLLISION AND TO CLIMB THE STEEP HILLS. NOT ONLY FOR MYSELF, BUT FOR ANYBODY ELSE WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR EXAMPLE: DRIVING TO AN EXIT RAMP FROM SPEEDS OF 65 AND NEEDING TO DECELERATE TO 25 WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT AND MAJOR WHERE ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM. NOW FOR CLIMBING THE HILLS OF SAN FRANCISCO IN A HIGH GEAR PUTS A MAJOR STRESS ON THE TRANSMISSION. PLEASE TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER MODULE SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR SAFETY . THIS VEHICLE HAS ALREADY BEEN RECALLED FOR AN IGNITION AND HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT I RECEIVED SEVERAL NOTICES FROM JEEP STARTING OUT AS SIMPLE AND IS NICELY PUT HIS PLEASE SEE YOUR SERVICE DEALERSHIP THERE IS A RECALL AND TO THE EXTREME OF RECEIVING NOTICES THAT SAID YOUR VEHICLE HAS A RECALL AND YOU ARE PUTTING OTHER PEOPLES LIVES IN DANGER BY NEGLECTING TO HAVE IT FIXED. I HAVE DONE MY HOMEWORK AND THE IGNITION AND WAS TOLD FROM A DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS NOT NECESSARY SINCE I ONLY USE THE KEY WITH NO KEYCHAIN. I HAVE ALSO DONE MY HOMEWORK ON THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER MODULE AND THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE VIDEOS OR TESTIMONIES ABOUT THEIR JEEPS HAVING THE PROBLEM OF THE ABILITY NOT TO DOWNSHIFT THROUGH THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER MODULE. IN THE PAST 12 YEARS I PRAY THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENTS IN DIRECT RELATION TO THIS ELECTRONIC SHIFTER MODULE BUT IF YOU'RE A DRIVER YOU KNOW THAT EVERY GEAR ON THE VEHICLE IS THERE FOR A REASON AND RELY ON THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE.
