IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER EVERYTIME THE CAR CAME TO A STOP OR IDLED. 3 DAYS LATER, THE CAR LOST POWER IN SPEED LIMIT TRAFFIC AFTER GOING OVER THE RAILROAD TRACKS. SINCE THEN, IT LOSES POWER AT EVERY STOP. IF I AM NOT AWARE, THE CAR ROLLS INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC! I TOOK THE CAR TO MY NEAREST DEALER. THEY CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED AND A PART HASN'T BEEN SENT TO DEALERS. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND ALL THEY DID WAS PUT ME ON A LIST! THEY APOLOGIZED FOR ME NOT HAVING A CAR TO DRIVE AND THAT WAS IT! THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH A TIMELINE OF WHEN THE PART WOULD BE READY. THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE ME WITH A LOANER VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE LOST MY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION UNLESS I WANT TO RISK MY AND MY FAMILY'S LIFE, AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE AT FAULT!

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WHEN, WITHOUT WARNING, THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. ENGINE SHUT DOWN, ALL POWER STEERING, BRAKING, AND POWER SYSTEMS WERE LOST. LUCKILY, I WAS IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE AND WAS ABLE TO PULL SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ONCE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUE ON. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ISSUE. AFTER CALLING THE DEALER WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED BUT NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX IT AND IT COULD BE MONTHS BEFORE IT COULD BE FIXED. NO OFFER WAS MADE TO PROVIDE ME WITH A VEHICLE TO DRIVE WHILE THE ISSUE REMAINED OPEN. I AM NOT GOING TO ENDANGER MY LIFE, MY FAMILY'S LIVES, OR THE LIVES OF OTHER DRIVERS BY CONTINUING TO OPERATE THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ALTERNATE MODE OF TRANSPORTATION TO THE CUSTOMER IF THE ISSUE CANNOT BE RESOLVED IN A TIMELY MANOR.

ON 6/30/2015 I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR P73 WARRANTY RECALL. ON7/12/2015 , WHEN I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, MY 2005 JEEP SHIFTED INTO LOW 4 WHEEL DRIVE , WITHOUT ANY TOUCHING OF THE LEVER TO SHIFT INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE. IT TOOK A COUPLE BLOCKS DRIVING VERY SLOW TO DISENGAGE FROM THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE LOW. I HAVE AN APPT. TO RETURN TO THE DEALER WHO PERFORMED THE SERVICE, TO HAVE IT CHECKED. RIGHT NOW I AM HESITANT TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE, FOR FEAR IT WILL SHIFT INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE AGAIN, WITHOUT MY DOING ANYTHING, WHICH COULD DO SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AT THE VERY LEAST. I AM REPORTING THIS SO OTHERS MIGHT BE INFORMED THAT THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM WITH THE REPROGRAM OF THE FINAL DRIVE CONTROL MODULE.

WHEN IT STARTED MALFUNCTIONING, I WOULD BE JUST DRIVING AND MY JEEP WOULD JUST SHUT OFF, ENGINE, POWER, ALL THE DASH LIGHTS COME ON, AND STEERING BECOMES DIFFICULT AS WELL AS BRAKING, AND NOW IT WON'T START. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BE DRIVING BUT THE IGNITION SWITCH ISN'T AVAILABLE YET, THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL AND NOW ITS CAUSING ME TO MISS WORK SINCE ITS MY ONLY VEHICLE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY DANGEROUS, THIS HAS TAKEN FAR TOO LONG TO FIX. PLEASE HELP! I NEED A LOANER!

CHRYSLER HAS A RECALL ON MY JEEP SINCE 2014, THAT HASN'T BEEN FIX OR DONE. I'M HAVING PROBLEMS (CUTS OFF AND ALL LIGHTS COMES ON). TOOK TO THE JEEP PLACE AND THEY STATE; OH NO! THIS ISN'T BECAUSE OF THE RECALL. WRONG ANSWER. THEY WERE WANTING ME TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX THINGS NOT WRONG WITH MY CAR. NO WARRANTY WITH WHAT THEY WERE GONE TO FIX. TOOK IT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM. "THE RECALL"...NO PART TO BE FOUND. THEY DID THE BEST THEY COULD UNTIL CHRYSLER GETS ME A PART. I'M DRIVING MY CAR THAT CUTS OFF ON ME. I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER CAR, I'M A WIDOW. HOW CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK THAT I HAVE SPEND AND GET MY CAR FIX?

MY CAR IS TOTALED AND THE BODY OF THE CAR IN THE FRONT IS SPLIT IN HALF.

A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE OF MY JEEP ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, I NOTICED THAT MY CRUISE CONTROL HAD STOPPED WORKING AND THE ABS LIGHT HAD COME. I CHECKED MY FUSES AND RELAYS AND THEY WERE OK. I NOTICED THAT IT MAINLY HAPPENED WHEN EITHER I WAS RUNNING MY AC OR IT WAS WET/RAINING OUTSIDE. I THEN STARTED RESEARCHING JEEP PROBLEMS AND RECALLS. I CAME ACROSS THE DAMINONCRYSLER RECALL NO. 13. THE RECALL HAD DESCRIBED THE ISSUE I WAS HAVING, SO I RESEARCHED MY VIN AND IT STALED THAT THE RECALL NO. 13 HAS ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED ON JEEP. NOW MY JEEP IS STUCK IN LIMP MODE AND WILL NOT RESET. IT WILL NOT SHIFT AND THE ABS, BRAKE AND ENGINE LIGHTS STAY ON. IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT SERVICE DID THEY DID WHEN IT WAS RECALLED IN 2005 (IF ANY)? I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

THE INSIDE DRIVER DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY HAS CRACKED AND BROKEN THUS RENDERING THE DOOR A SAFETY HAZARD SHOULD THE DRIVER NEED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY. I CONTACTED JEEP AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE INTERIOR DOOR PANEL AT A COST OF $700 PLUS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A PRETTY COMMON DEFECT WITH THIS MODEL AS WELL AS THE JEEP COMMANDERS.

I OWN A GARAGE KEPT, 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED 2WD WITH APPROXIMATELY 80,000 MILES. 3 OF THE 4 INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE SEVERELY CRACKING MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO OPEN THE DOOR. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE ONCE THEY FULL BREAK, THE DOOR IN UNABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INTERIOR. COST TO REPAIR EACH DOOR IS OVER $800. I CONTACTED JEEP CUSTOMER SUPPORT ON 6-22-15, BUT WAS TOLD THIS WAS NOT A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT THERE WAS NO ASSISTANCE THEY COULD PROVIDE IN REPAIRING THE DOOR. THIS IS A WELL DOCUMENTED SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESS SO THAT CONSUMERS CAN GET ASSISTANCE IN DEALING WITH THE SAFETY PROBLEM.
