THE SUN VISORS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE CAUGHT ON FIRE THE LINING WAS BURNED, THE COMPASS ON THE DASHBOARD WAS OUT AS WELL. ALSO I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVER AIRBAG LIGHT IT HAS BEEN TURNING ON AND OFF FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. I HAVE TAKEN IT MULTIPLE TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE TO GET FIXED AND THEY ARE UNAWARE OF THE PROBLEM. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IF I WAS TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY.

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SECOND SUN VISOR RECALL NOTICE STATES MAY EXPERIENCE A HIGH RESISTANCE SHORT WIRING AFTER SERVICE REPAIR MAY RESULT IN AN INOPERATIVE VANITY LAMP AND /OR ELECTRICAL FIRE. *SMD THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE PREVIOUS RECALL DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE VANITY LAMP WIRING. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS RANDOMLY LOWERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO USE THE ELECTRONIC FUNCTION TO WIND THE WINDOWS UP EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
"TAKATA RECALL" A/A SYSTEM NEVER WORK PROPERLY, I AM A PERSON WHO DON'T LIKE TO USE IT WHERE EVER I DRIVE WITH THAT SYSTEM TURNED ON. JUST WHEN REALLY LOWER OR HIGHT TEMPERATURES ARE RUNNING (WINTER AND SUMMER), SO; BUT WHEN I TRIED TO USED IT HAD TO WAIT A LOT AND DIDN'T GET IT COMPLETELY OR PROPERLY JUST PARTIALY WORKED IN THE VEHICLE. THIS SUMMER TIRED OF THE SAME PROBLEM AND VISITED SOME TECH TO FIX IT THEY DID NOT WANT TO WORK ON THIS KIND OF ISSUE ANY MORE. HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME RECOMMEND SOME JEEP DEALER MAKE THE WORK AND GET WORKING SYSTEM PROPERLY WITH NOT CHARGE AS THOSE TECH SAID IT. THANKS
CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING. COLLIDED WITH TREE, MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE. NO POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED, SEAT BELTS DID NOT TENSION. VEHICLE HAD STALLED PREVIOUSLY AND TAKE TO DEALER. DEALER REPLACED IGNITION COILS AND SAID PROBLEM WAS FIXED.

AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COVERT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (8107 RESEARCH BLVD, AUSTIN, TX 78758) WHERE NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND AND THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO NYLE MAXWELL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP OF AUSTIN (13401 RANCH RD 620 N, AUSTIN, TX 78717) WHERE NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND AND THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MAC HAIK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (3207 S GENERAL BRUCE DR, TEMPLE, TX 76504) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND THE FUEL PUMP RELAYS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A CASE WAS OPENED. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000. *BF *BF *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH EXITING A HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE FCW WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO PARK AND THE VEHICLE RESTARTED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY FIFTEEN TIMES WHEN DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER FOR TWO WEEKS. THE MANUFACTURER HEADQUARTERS TELEPHONED THE CONTACT TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE, MENTIONED THAT A RECORDING DEVICE WAS INSTALLED, AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CONTINUE DRIVING SO THE ERROR COULD BE RECORDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
THE JEEP HAS ONLY 43,880 MILES WHEN I WENT TO THE JEEP DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I WAS TOLD THE POWER STEERING RACK WAS LEAKING. THE REPAIR WOULD COST $1602 PLUS TAX. THIS JEEP HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN OFF ROAD AND SHOULD NOT BE LEAKING WITH THIS LOW MILEAGE . THERE APPEARS TO BE MANY COMPLAINTS OF OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT APPEARS THERE IS A FAULT WITH THE PART.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS CONTINUOUSLY POWERING ITSELF OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING AND SAFETY FEATURES ARE FAILING. THE MECHANICAL ERROR IS HAPPENING RANDOMLY WHETHERBINAM IN TRAFFIC AND OR CRUISING DOWN A CITY STREET. THIS IS DUE TO A KNOWN ISSUE WITH TIPM, THAT CHRYSLER HAS COVERED UP IN THE PAST PER SECOND CLASS ACTION COMPLAINT CASE NO. 13-CV-08080-DDP-VBK. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE AND HAVE I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESOLUTION FROM CHRYSLER OR THE DEALER. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS VEHICLE IS GOING TO CAUSE INJURY TO MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.
WHILE BRAKING THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF. THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY SAID IT WAS WORN SPARK PLUGS AND REPLACED THEM. THE NEXT DAY IT STALLED AGAIN. I WAS COMING OFF THE FREEWAY OFF RAMP AND IT JUST DIED. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE A CAUSE FOR THE STALLING ISSUE. UPDATED 04/18/16. *JB

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUNTINGTON BEACH CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (16701 BEACH BLVD, HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92647, 714-841-3999) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK IF THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAILURE SPORADICALLY OCCURRED THREE ADDITIONAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.

VEHICLE VIBRATES PAST 65 MPG... DEFECTIVE LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND BUSHING...
TAIL LAMPS, RIGHT AND LEFT, MELT CAUSING TURN AND BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE EXPOSING THE VEHICLE AND ITS PASSENGERS TO CRASH. THIS ISSUE IS VERY RECURRENT, I HAVE TO CHANGE TO RIGHT BULB AT LEAST 2 TIMES A MONTH.

VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT A CONSTANT SPEED OF 70MPH WITH FOOT ON THE THROTTLE PEDAL. TRAFFIC FROM AN ON-RAMP FORCED A QUICK/SUDDEN STOP (QUICK TRANSITION FROM THROTTLE PEDAL TO BRAKE PEDAL). THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS COMPLETELY FROZEN AND WOULD NOT DEPRESS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME (VEHICLE WOULD NOT DECELERATE). FORCED DRIVER TO SWERVE OFF THE FREEWAY, AND NEARLY CRASHED. NON-EMERGENCY (QUICK THROTTLE TO BRAKE TRANSITION) BRAKING IS STILL FUNCTIONAL. THE SITUATION WAS ABLE TO BE RECREATED BY BOTH THE DRIVER AND THE SERVICE TECH AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THAT THE ISSUE IS PRESENT ON FOUR OTHER VEHICLES (ONE 2011, ONE 2012, AND TWO 2013'S) ON THEIR SALES LOT, AS WELL AS THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION. DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THIS HAS NOTHING TO DUE WITH RECALL P05 (SIMILAR SCENARIO). DEALERSHIP SUBMITTED A CASE TO FCA. FCA HAD THEM REPLACE VACUUM LINES, ANOTHER BRAKE BOOSTER, AND THE VACUUM PUMP. THE ISSUE WAS STILL PRESENT. FCA TOLD THEM THEY COULD, AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSUMER, TRY TO SPLICE SOME VACUUM LINES AND SEE IF THE ISSUE GOES AWAY. AT THE ADVICE OF THE DEALERSHIP, CUSTOMER DENIED "TROUBLESHOOTING" ON THEIR VEHICLE. FCA TOLD DEALER THIS ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE P14 RECALL THAT WAS REPLACED A WEEK PRIOR (REPLACED TWICE) ON THE SAME VEHICLE (BRAKE BOOSTER), AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER THAT RECALL. DEALERSHIP IS NOW GIVING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE CUSTOMER WITH THIS CONDITION STILL PRESENT.

THE VEHICLE STALLS, LOSSES POWER AND THE ENGINE DIES IN THE APEX OF CORNERING BETWEEN 30-40 MPH. GAS TANK HAS BEEN HALF FULL TO FULL ON EVERY EVENT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN OWNED FOR OVER 2 YEARS WITH THIS OCCURRING 6 TIMES THAT HAVE BEEN DOCUMENTED. WHEN THE VEHICLE 'DIES' THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES BOTH FAIL CAUSING AN EXTREME HAZARD. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALER UPON EACH DOCUMENTED OCCURRENCE. DEALER IS 'UNABLE TO REPLICATE' SO THEREFORE UNABLE TO ASSIST. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULT.

JEEP WILL ONLY START WITH REMOTE STARTER. PUSH BUTTON START DOES NOT WORK. I HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED HOWEVER, AM JUST LEARNING OF A TIPM RECALL FOR THIS MODEL. VEHICLE WAS IN STATIONARY POSITION IN MY GARAGE WHEN IT WOULD NOT START.
MY CAR ENGINE STALLS WHEN I MAKE TURNS SPECIALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR NO REASON IT JUST STALLS WITHOUT WARNING BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I CAME TO A STOP LIGHT AS WELL, VERY VERY UNSAFE & SCARY!!! I'VE BEEN LUCKY USUALLY IN THE LANE CLOSE TO THE SIDEWALK SO I CAN MANEUVER TO THE SIDE BUT EVENTUALLY MY LUCK WILL RUN OUT, I'M VERY UNEASE WHEN I DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS I DON'T WHEN I'LL HAPPEN. ALL ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS FLICKER OR SHUT OFF AND SMELLED LIKE WIRES WHERE BURNING. THIS ALL HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING
STALLS UPON DECLERATION AND TURNING WITHOUT WARNING. NO LOG. STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. REMOTELY TURNS ON AT RANDOM TIMES.
THE 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WILL EXPERIENCE ENGINE STALL WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, AT TIMES IN EXCESS OF 30 MPH. THIS CAUSES A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKE FUNCTIONS. IT HAS LIKEWISE STALLED AT STOP LIGHTS/SIGNALS WHICH IS EQUALLY DANGEROUS WHEN VEHICLES ARE APPROACHING FROM BEHIND AT HIGH SPEEDS EXPECTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT TO MOVE WITH THE GREEN LIGHT. CHRYSLER ISSUED A RECALL (P54) RELATED TO THESE ISSUES, HOWEVER THE CHEAP EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY WIRING HARNESS FIX THEY EMPLOYED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEMS CAN BE CHARACTERIZED AS INSUFFICIENT AT BEST. IN FACT, THE ISSUES WITH OUR FAMILY VEHICLE HAVE ACTUALLY WORSENED SINCE THE P54 RECALL WAS PERFORMED IN MAY OF 2015. THE VEHICLE'S PROBLEMS HAVE NOW PROGRESSED TO THE POINT WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START: A TYPICAL SYMPTOM OF THESE DANGEROUS JEEP/CHRYSLER PRODUCTS. THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF CONSUMER COMPLAINTS OUTLINING SIMILAR ISSUES I.E., THE VEHICLES BEING DIFFICULT TO START OR NOT STARTING AT ALL, VEHICLES' POWER WINDOWS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY, DOOR LOCKS OPENING AND LOCKING ON THEIR OWN, HORN BLARING, THE VEHICLE NOT RECOGNIZING THE FOB, ELECTRONIC FUEL PUMPS REMAINING ON AFTER THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF AND STALLING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. A COMMON THEME RELATED TO ALL OF THESE ISSUES SEEMS TO BE THE POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER FOR THE VEHICLES OR THE TIPM (TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). IT SEEMS FIAT - CHRYSLER HAS BEEN AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR OEM MANUFACTURED TIPM PARTS FOR SOME TIME, SINCE 2007, BUT TOOK THE WOEFULLY INADEQUATE ROUTE OF CORRECTING ONLY A SMALL AND LESS DANGEROUS ISSUE OF THE MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. HENCE THEIR COURT ORDERED P54 EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP WIRING HARNESS, WHICH ON A GOOD DAY WILL CORRECT THE FUEL PUMP RUN-ON. WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IS THE STALLING WHILE IN MOTION ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH THESE VEHICLES. PLEASE MANDATE A SAFETY RECALL.

DASHBOARD IS BUBBLING AND PULLING AWAY FROM ADHESIVE. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THIS IS A DEFECT OF THE 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, AND THE ONLY FIX IS TO REPLACE IT........STARTED AS ONE LITTLE BUBBLE AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. THE LEATHER IS DRYING OUT WHERE IT IS PULLING AWAY FROM THE ADHESIVE. JEEP (MOPAR) CONVERSATION STATED THEY COULD FILE A COMPLAINT BUT NOT HELP IN THE REPAIR COSTS.
I CUT MY THUMB & SCRAPED A KNUCKLE ON SOME VERY SHARP TRIM AROUND THE TOP OF THE CUP HOLDER WHEN I REACHED INSIDE IT IN A PARKING LOT. THE BOTTOM OF THE TRIM HAD PULLED AWAY FROM THE SIDE AND WAS PROTRUDING AT AN ANGLE IN MORE THAN ONE SPOT INSIDE THE CUP HOLDERS. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD PURCHASED IT LESS THAN ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THEY SAID THE ENTIRE PIECE WHICH INCLUDED THE CUP HOLDERS, TRAY, & GEAR SHIFT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED FOR $500 AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT SINCE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I HAD PAID $2500 FOR DID NOT COVER IT. SO I NOT ONLY GOT INJURED, BUT I'M STUCK WITH THE BILL AND CANNOT EVEN WORK WITH MY SPECIAL NEEDS CLIENT UNTIL IT GETS REPLACED SINCE I CAN'T PUT HIM IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS JEEP ONLY HAD 28,232 MILES ON IT AND WAS IN GOOD SHAPE WHEN I BOUGHT IT ON 1/25/16, SO THIS NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. IF THE CUP HOLDERS COULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND REPLACED SEPARATELY, IT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY AND TAKEN A LOT LESS TIME FOR THE MECHANICS TO REPLACE THEM. THIS WAS NOT THE KIND OF QUALITY I EXPECTED FOR A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE.
I HAVE HAD OUR JEEP INTO GENESEE VALLEY CHRYSLER JEEP TWICE (SINCE JANUARY 2016) SINCE THIS RECALL CAME OUT AND THEY STILL SAY THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS. WE HAVE HAD NO ISSUE YET, BUT THIS IS GETTING TO BE TOO LONG
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE BRAKES FAILED TO COMPLETELY STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH FULL FORCE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECIEVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V154000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000.
I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AND HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND IT FELT AS IF I HAD NO PRESSURE IN THE GAS PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO STOP AND PULLED OVER. AT FIRST, THINKING THIS WAS A SCARY, ISOLATED INCIDENCE, I DROVE ON THE THREE BLOCKS TO THE GROCERY STORE. AT THE GROCERY STORE, I STOPPED IN THE PARKING LOT TO LET ANOTHER VEHICLE PULL OUT AND A WOMAN CROSS FROM HER CAR TO THE STORE. THE ENGINE REVVED UP AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED FORWARD FROM A DEAD STOP. I THREW IT IN NEUTRAL AND USED MY E-BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. I WAS TERRIFIED THAT I COULD HAVE RUN OVER A PEDESTRIAN. I WALKED FROM THE STORE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY PICKED UP MY VEHICLE. I TOLD THEM TO KEEP IT UNTIL THEY SOLVE THIS ISSUE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE IT AND AM SERIOUSLY AFRAID THAT SOMEONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. THE FIRST TIME, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR WAS STILL MOVING VERY SLOWLY FORWARD WHEN THE ACCELERATION OCCURRED. THE SECOND TIME, I WAS AT A DEAD STOP WITH THE FOOT ON THE BRAKE WHEN THE ACCELERATION OCCURRED. MY VEHICLE REMAINS IN THE SHOP AT THIS TIME BUT I WILL FOLLOW UP WITH WHATEVER THEY FIND.
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH A PARKING LOT LEFT FRONT SPINDLE BROKE CAUSING ME TO HIT A WALL. MY SPEED WAS UNDER 4MPH.THIS BREAK RESULTED IN THE BENDING OF LF FRONT STRUT,LF OUTTER TIE ROD ALONG WITH OTHER PROBLEMS. IF BREAK HAD OCCURED AT HIGHWAY SPEED WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, BUT WHILE MAKING A TURN, MY POWER STEERING QUITS WORKING AND I AM UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING. I CAN'T PUSH THE BRAKES OR GAS AND IT JUST STOPS. BOTH TIMES, I HAVE PUT IT IN PARK AND HIT THE START BUTTON. THE CAR STARTS BACK UP FINE. IT'S VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN TRAFFIC.
VEHICLE HAD EXTERNAL FUEL RELAY INSTALLED OVER A YEAR AGO BY DEALER. THIS VEHICLE HAD NOT EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL RELAY. NOW VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES - ENGINE STOPPING FOR NO REASON, EVEN WHILE DRIVING - AS DESCRIBED IN THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE TIPM. VERY DANGEROUS AND THE "FIX" BY FCA, APPEARS TO NOT BE A PERMANENT FIX.

THE ALTERNATOR IN MY 2011 GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE, THE 160 AMP UNIT WILL SUDDENLY BEGIN MAKING A VERY LOUD WHINING SOUND THAT CAN BE HEARD LOUDLY FROM WITHIN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE AND WITHIN THE ENGINE BAY. YOU HAVE TO THE ENGINE OFF, SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN AND RESTART. I AM AFRAID I AM GOING TO GET KILLED IN THIS JEEP. TRANSMISSION COOLER, A/C CONDENSER COMBO UNIT BEGAN LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID AROUND 50,000 MILES. THERE IS NO DIP STICK TO KNOW HOW MUCH FLUID IS IN THE TRANSMISSION SO IT IS DANGEROUS. THE TRANS COULD BE LOW ON FLUID AND POSSIBLY FAIL WHILE DRIVING CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UPON SEARCHING THE INTERNET I FOUND OTHER 2011-2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES WITH THE SAME LEAK, ON THE SAME PART, AT THE SAME LOCATION ON THE PART, AROUND THE SAME MILES. CHRYSLER BELIEVES THIS IS NORMAL TO HAVE THE PART FAIL EVEN THOUGH IT IS FAILING BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION OR A/C EVEN REQUIRE SERVICING. I DISAGREE BECAUSE MY OTHER VEHICLE HAS 297,000 MILES AND HAS THE SAME CONDENSER FROM WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. I PAID TO HAVE THE PART REPLACED AND CONTACTED CHRYSLER FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION. CHRYSLER SAID THERE IS NO RECALL AND IF A RECALL HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE THEY WILL NOTIFY US. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THIS LEAK SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT AND PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE.
