ON 12/23/2020 AT 6:00AM I WAS DRIVING ON LONG POINT ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN - ALL ELECTRICAL, ENGINE, LIGHTS, BREAKS, ETC. I WAS DRIVING AT APPROX. 30MPH HEADING TOWARDS A ROUND-ABOUT WHEN EVERYTHING SHUTDOWN. THE LOSS OF POWER RESULTED IN NOT BEING ABLE TO SLOW DOWN. LUCKILY THERE WEREN'T ANY CARS IN THE ROUND-ABOUT WHEN I ENTERED. HOWEVER, IT WAS A RATHER TIGHT ROUND-ABOUT AND WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE TURN AND I WENT OVER THE CURB AND DROVE STRAIGHT THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE ROUND-ABOUT.. THE CAR RESTARTED AFTER ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ONCE THE CAR RESTARTED, ACCELERATION WAS EXTREMELY LIMITED. I CONTINUED TO PROCEEDED DOWN LONG POINT ROAD UNTIL I COULD PULL OFF. ABOUT 1-2 MINUTES AFTER THE FIRST POWER FAILURE, ANOTHER POWER FAILURE/COMPLETE SHUT DOWN OCCURRED. THE SECOND POWER SHUTDOWN LASTED ABOUT 5-7 SECONDS AND TURNED BACK ON. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OFF AND SHUT THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. WHEN I RESTARTED IT, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON, BUT WENT OFF AFTER SEVERAL HOURS. IT'S WORTH NOTING, I JUST RECEIVED THE ECODEISEL SOFTWARE UPDATED (I THINK V7). THIS UPDATE WAS PERFORMED ON 12/21/20
The air ride suspension says it's stuck in off-road 2 but is visibly stuck in the lowest setting. When driving it is very bumpy, almost worse than offroading. I do t think our safety is at risk. The problem has not been looked at by any professionals or independent dealers. It has not been inspected. We can't remember the exact time we noticed the message, but roughly around December 2020- January 2021. It is not a light it is a message that pops up a handful of times while driving.
I WAS COMING TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN AND HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE TRUCK JERKED FORWARD. THE TRUCK WAS SLOW GOING INTO FIRST GEAR AND WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. TRUCK HAS 86,000 MIKES ON IT AND HAPPENED OUT OF THE BLUE. IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSIONS FOR JEEPS AS THE MANUFACTURER HAS THEM ON BACK ORDER.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN I NOTICED THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT WAS DEPLOYED. WHEN I INSPECTED IT I NOTICED A CLIP THAT HOLDS A METAL PIN THAT KEEPS THE HEAD REST IN PLACE WAS BROKEN. THERE IS NO WAY TO RESET IT BECAUSE OF THAT. I BELIEVE THE CLIP BROKE BECAUSE ITS TO THIN AND UNDER ALL THAT PRESSURE TRYING TO KEEP THE HEAD REST IN PLACE, IT GIVES OUT AND BREAKS.
VEHICLE WENT INTO NEUTRAL? LOSS OF POWER AND THEN REENGAGED AGAIN. TRANSMISSION WAS LOOKED AT HAD CODE 716. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION THE CLUTCHES WERE WORN SO THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REBUILT. NOW IT IS EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL ISSUES CAUSING THE VEHICLE NOT TO OPERATE.
JEEP ALTERNATOR FAILURE, MATCHES DESCRIPTION IN ALTERNATOR IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL P60 / NHTSA 14V-634 AND MATCHES DATES FOR VEHICLE RECALL IN NEW SAFETY RECALL ADVANCED COMMUNICATION ' T3607112017 FOR JEEPS PRIOR TO JULY 2014, MY BUILD DATE AUG 2013. WHILE DRIVING JEEP, BATTERY WARNING LIGHT, THEN JEEP ENGINE DIED WHILE DRIVING, SEVERAL ALERT LIGHTS FLASHED AND VEHICLE ELECTRICALLY DIED, DOORS LOCKED, WINDOWS LOCKED, NO START. WOULD NOT ACCEPT AAA JUMP. DEALER SAYS SAFETY RECALLS NOT APPLICABLE TO MY VEHICLE - YET ALT TYPE (BJA) IS DESCRIBED IN YOUR SAFETY RECALL, DESCRIPTION OF WHAT HAPPENS MATCHES, AND VEHICLE QUIT OPERATING WHILE IN MOTION.
NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET BUT THERE IS A RECALL OUT (W79) TO REPLACE THE EGR COOLER AS AN ENGINE FIRE COULD OCCUR. WAS NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL NEARLY 4 MONTHS AGO AND YET JEEP SAYS THERE ARE STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO DO IT. CAN YOU GET ON THEIR CASE TO GET THIS DONE?
UNEXPECTED SHIFT TO NEUTRAL WHILE ACCELERATING
I WAS INVOLVED IN A INTERSECTION COLLISION WHERE ANOTHER VEHICLE DIDN'T STOP AND DROVE IN FRONT OF MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I COLLIDED WITH THE DRIVERS DOOR TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AT A 20 MPH SPEED. THE OTHER VEHICLES AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. MY JEEP SUSTAINED FRONT DAMAGE A CRACKED HOOD, GRILL, FROM BUMPER TORN OFF I BROKE MY RIGHT FOOT. MY AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY ON THE IMPACT AND I DIDN'T FEEL OR SEE A SENSOR EMERGENCY BRAKING
ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT CAUSE. CAR WAS MOVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND NO CONTACT WAS MADE WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE AND NOT WHILE TURNING.
I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 26 WEST BOUND IN OREGON JUST OUTSIDE OF PORTLAND. MY CAR HAS ECODIESEL ENGINE IN IT. I USUALLY BUY GAS WHEN IT IS ABOUT A QUARTER TANK OF FUEL. I HAD ABOUT QUARTER TANK OF FUEL AND ABOUT 150 MILES RANGE LEFT. I WAS ON THE LEFT LANE AND TRAVELING AT ABOUT 60 MPH. ALL THE SUDDEN MY ENGINE STOPPED INSTANTLY ON THE LEFT LANE OF HIGHWAY 26. ALL THE CARS BEHIND ME HIT THE BRAKES NOT TO REAR END ME. MY CAR'S ENGINE STOPPED AND SLOWED DOWN SO QUICKLY. IT WAS SCARY. I TRIED TO PULL OVER TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. ONCE THE CAR WAS PARKED, IT SAID THAT BATTERY SAVING MODE. IT WOULD CRANK UP BUT NOT START THE ENGINE. I CALLED A MOBILE MECHANIC OVER. HE CHECKED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR AND SAID THE BATTERY IS STRONG AND NO BLOWN FUSES WHATSOEVER. HE THEN WENT UNDER THE CAR AND LISTEN THE FUEL PUMP AND SAID THAT IT SOUNDS VERY BAD.HE HAD BELIEFS THAT I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY FUEL SYSTEM, MAYBE A BROKEN FUEL PUMP. HE READ THE CODES OUT OF CAR COMPUTER AND THEY ALL WERE RELATED TO THE FUEL SYSTEMS. I STARTED DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES HAS A FAULTY DESIGN OF FUEL TANKS AND IF THE FUEL GOES BELOW THE QUARTER TANK LEVEL. THEN PUMP DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. UPON READING THIS, I CALLED A FRIEND WHO BROUGHT ME 5 GALLONS OF DIESEL AND WE PUT THE DIESEL INSIDE THE TANK AND THE CAR STARTED IMMEDIATELY. I DROVE IT TO A NEAR BY GAS STATION AND FILED UP THE TANK FULL. I THINK THIS CAR HAS SOME SORT OF FAULTY DESIGN OF FUEL PUMP. IT WILL CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT IF IT DOES NOT GET CORRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED SUDDENLY, THE CAR ACTUALLY SWERVED AROUND LITTLE BIT. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE ENDED FATALLY IF I WAS NOT QUICK ENOUGH. I AM WRITING THIS TO LET YOU GUSY KNOW ABOUT THIS FLAW ABOUT GRAND CHEROKEE ECODIESELS 3.0 ENGINES.
OUR JEEP'S SHIFTER OCCASIONALLY REFUSES TO GO INTO "PARK" AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AND WILL NOT GO INTO PARK EVEN AFTER OPENING THE DRIVER DOOR WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY HAPPEN BASED ON THE FIX IN SAFETY RECALL S27/NHTSA 16V-240. THE JEEP DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THERE IS A SHORT IN THE SHIFTER BUT THE REPAIR WOULDN'T BE COVERED BECAUSE THE SAFETY RECALL WAS ONLY FOR A "SOFTWARE" ISSUE NOT A "MECHANICAL" ISSUE WITH THE SHIFTER. EITHER WAY, IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT WE CAN NOT SAFELY PARK OUR VEHICLE AND WE ARE EXPERIENCING SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED IN THE MENTIONED SAFETY RECALL, BUT WASN'T.
APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS AGO I NOTICED OIL DRIPS WHERE THE CAR WAS PARKED. THE CAR HAD 49,740 MILES AND WAS ALMOST DUE FOR A 5,000 MILE OIL CHANGE. I TOOK IT EARLY AND ASKED THE MECHANIC TO CHECK ON THE LEAKS. HE FOUND THERE WAS OIL ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR AND ESPECIALLY AROUND THE OIL PAN, ALTHOUGH NO APPARENT SOURCE OF THE LEAK COULD BE SEEN, THE OIL PAN GASKET/SEAL WAS REPLACED. THAT DID NOT HELP THE PROBLEM, THE NEXT DAY THERE WAS A LARGER PUDDLE OF OIL UNDER THE CAR. APPARENTLY, THE OIL FILTER HOUSING ON THIS CAR IS CRACKED, LEADING TO AN OIL LEAK ON TOP OF THE ENGINE AND POOLING THAT RUNS DOWN THE BACK OF THE ENGINE. OCCASIONALLY BURNING OIL CAN BE SMELLED, CREATING A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD ISSUE TO THE PASSENGERS. IT WOULD SEEM THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM - NHTSA HAS RECORDED A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS FROM USERS (E.G., 11244788,11230350, 11193883, ETC.). FCA ISSUED AN EARLY SERVICE BULLETIN: SB-10058301-5939. SEARCHING ONLINE SHOWS LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN NECESSARY. THE REPLACEMENT PART NUMBER IS NOW ON ITS SIXTH REVISION (CURRENTLY ADAPTER-ENGINE OIL FILTER - MOPAR 68105583AF). IT SEEMS LIKE THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE LONG AGO.
PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WON'T RETRACT. DEALERSHIP SAYS A PLASTIC PART IN THE RETRACTING SYSTEM IS BROKEN. WHY WOULD YOU USE PLASTIC ON A SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM?
FROM STOP TO 1ST AND 2ND GEAR THE TRANSMISSION HAS A KNOCK WHEN ON HILL OR EVEN FLAT GROUND WHEN ACCELERATION IS APPLIED. AFTER 2ND GEAR THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE.
FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT REMAINS IN LOCKED POSITION AND FAILED ON BREAKING
The contact owned a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V699000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to the recall was unavailable. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer and was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated on 1/26/2022 after turning on the ignition, the electronic throttle control warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to her residence. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure and was not able to schedule an appointment till April/2022. The contact called another local dealer: Calavan CDJR West (1251 Thornton Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122:(770) 942-1102), and was able to make an appointment for 1/31/2022 to diagnose the failure and complete recall associated with the VIN. The contact stated on her way to her appointment while driving 65 mph when depressed the accelerator pedal but failed to go over 60 mph. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park on the side of the road and called the local dealer Calavan CDJR West to seek towing service. The dealer was informed to call any towing company to have the vehicle towed. The contact stated while calling a towing company, she saw smoke exiting the front of the hood. The contact was able to exit the vehicle safely before the vehicle was engulfed in fire. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. The fire department extinguished the fire. A fire report was filed. The contact stated two police troopers were near and were able to assist the contact. A police report was not filed. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was towed to towing lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The electrical system in the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on occasion will not turn on correctly when started, the car operates, just a black screen. The radio and most importantly the rear view camera will not activate. It does return after 2-10 minutes after running (meaning turns itself on) & it also turn on the heat to 75. ( this happens in my car 15% -20% of the time on starting, rest of the time it works) The main problem is the rear view camera will not turn on when you just started the car, (when you need it) The Radio, Navigation, Rear camera, climate control all don’t work. So one that is used to using camera to reverse can't and it is dangerous, it is just a black screen.
SITTING AT A STOPLIGHT THE DRIVER SIDE HEAD RESTRAINT EXPLODED. CAR WAS NOT MOVING. WAS ON A CITY STREET.
I WAS ON I-95N AT APPROXIMATELY 65MPH IN NORTH CAROLINA ON 11/26/2021 WHEN MY WIFE AND I HEARD A LOUD MECHANICAL CRASH SOUND. MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND HAD BEEN HIT IN THE HEAD BY THE HEADREST THAT HAD EJECTED RANDOMLY. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY THE HEADREST SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED.

THE CONTACT THEN TOWED THE VEHICLE TO SALT LAKE VALLEY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (2309 STATE ST, SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84115) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE HAD SEIZED DUE TO NO COOLANT. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW ENGINE DUE TO THE FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V699000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) WHICH HE LINKED TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A FCA REPRESENTATIVE WAS TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS SENT AN EMAIL INFORMING THEM OF THE FAILURE EXPERIENCED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CASE HAD BEEN CLOSED. THE MANUFACTURER RE-OPENED THE CASE TO DETERMINE COLLATERAL DAMAGE. THE MANUFACTURER CALLED BACK AND THE CASE WAS CLOSED ONCE AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,929.
THE SEATBELTS DON'T WORK . THE SUNROOF GETS STUCK AT TIMES . IT'S JUST MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WRONG WITH THIS MODEL OF JEEP .
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN MY PASSENGER HEADREST POPPED OUT OF PLACE. UNKNOWN. I HAD NO COLLISION OR WAS NO BUMPY ROAD CONDITIONS. THE PLASTIC PART HOLDING THE HEADREST TOGETHER LOOKS TO BE BROKEN. IM AFRAID MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST MIGHT POP OPEN WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HIT ME AND CAUSE A COLLISION.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TONE WHEEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,987.
DRIVING SUV (NO PASSENGERS) STRAIGHT ON CITY STREET & FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEAD REST ACTIVATED. NO CONTACT WITH ANY OBJECT.
WHILE PARKED THE REAR HATCH HAS RECENTLY STARTED TO GO UP ALMOST ALL THE WAY AND THEN COME BACK DOWN, SOMETIMES VERY FAST OTHER TIMES SLOWLY. IT HIT ME IN THE BACK THE FIRST TIME. I CALLED THE DEALER TO INQUIRE ABOUT RECALL R27 / NHTSA 15V-393, THEY SAID IT WAS NOT LISTED FOR MY VIN, THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN 3/14 AND DISPLAYS ALL OF THE ISSUES LISTED IN THAT RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SEAT RETRACTOR FAILED AND WAS TO CONTACT A CHRYSLER DEALER. THE CONTACT CALLED KOLOSSO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (2701 W COLLEGE AVE, APPLETON, WI 54914), AND INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS DISCONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *DT*JB
MY VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL IS UNDER RECALL FOR P67 BUT FOR SOME REASON MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED BUT THE PERSON I CALLED AT CHRYSLER SAID IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AND TOLD ME FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOU TO TRY TO HELP ME. I AM A CAREGIVER WITH THIS ONE VEHICLE FOR MY MOM WHO IS HANDICAP AND 81. I HAD NO CHOICE AND HAD TO TAKE HER OUT TO THE DR FOR A FLU SHOT AND MY SEAT BELT IS BROKE AND I CANT USE IT AND AIRBAGS DISABLED DUE TO SEAT BELT BROKEN. I HAD TO STOP FAST AND PULLED MY NECK 11/30/20.. PLEASE HELP US GET UNDER THIS RECALL.P67. I DON'T HAVE THE $ TO PAY 1,000 TO GET IT FIXED WHEN I SHOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER THE RECALL WITH THE OTHER 2014 JGC AT SAME MILEAGE WHEN IT WENT OUT. HOW DID MY JEEP GET MISSED FOR THIS RECALL? IT IS OUR PRIMARY CAR. WHEN I HURT MY NECK ON 11/30 DRIVING? IT WAS IN MOTION AND OF COURSE I HAVE NO SEAT BELT THAT WORKS. MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND RANDOMLY HAD THE DRIVER HEADREST POP OUT OF PLACE AND HIT ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WHILE I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.
PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN.
MY VEHICLES DRIVER HEADREST POPPED OPEN, EXPOSING THE INSIDE OF THE HEADREST, RANDOMLY WITHOUT COMING INTO CONTACT WITH ANYTHING THAT WOULD'VE CAUSED THE INCIDENT.
MY STEERING CONTROL MODULE HAS A SHORT CIRCUIT CAUSING MY ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT TO FLASH AND MY BLINKERS AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS NOT TO WORK. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC AND HE SAID MODULE NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL. RECALL P64/ NHTSA 14V-636 - WHICH APPLIES TO MY MODEL YEAR AND DESCRIBES MY PROBLEM EXACTLY. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL DEPARTMENT AND THEY ARE SAYING THIS RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE AND THEY WILL NOT FIX IT FREE OF CHARGE. I HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE RECALL SAYS THIS COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISORY AND "NON WAS AVAILABLE." I AM WORRIED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND I CANT PAY $1000+ TO FIX THIS WHEN THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT MY LOCAL JEEP SERIVCE DEALER NEXT WEEK BUT I AM WORRIED THEY WILL NOT APPLY THIS RECALL, CONSIDERING WHAT CHRYSLER CORPORATE IS SAYING.
DRIVER SIDE SEATBELT MOTOR IS OUT RENDERING MY SEATBELT USELESS AND AIRBAGS. NO BEEPING IF SEATBELT IS NOT ON. I AM NOT PROTECTED AS SEATBELT MOTOR IS OUT. RECALL P67 DOES NOT COVER MY VIN BUT NEEDS TO AS IT WENT OUT AT 58,000 MILES WHICH IS COMMON. I NEED TO BE INCLUDED. MY SAFETY IS AT RISK. VEHICLE START UP SEATBELT WON'T MOVE OR TIGHTEN. I SENT IN COMPLAINT # 11374883 ON 11/16/20 BUT NEEDED TO ADD THAT MY AIRBAGS ARE NOT WORKING EITHER ALONG WITH THIS SEAT BELT THAT THE PENDULUM OR MOTOR HAS BROKEN. I UNDERSTAND THE AIRBAGS ARE TIED INTO IT THE P67 RECALL AS WELL. THEY ARE NOT WORKING EITHER AND MY WARNING SYSTEM IS NO LONGER TELLING ME MY AB OR SEAT BELT IS NOT WORKING OR ON. I CALLED GM AS THE RECALL STATED AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T KNOW WHY MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN,. THEY ADVISED ME TO REACH OUT TO YOU AND ASK YOU TO GET THIS ADDED TO THAT RECALL AS THE ISSUES MATCH AND ARE THE SAME FOR OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE I HAVE AND YEAR AND MODEL. PLEASE, MY SAFETY IS COMPROMISED AND I DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO GET THIS DEFECT FIXED. CHRYSLER FILED BANKRUPTCY. YOU ARE TRULY, MY ONLY HOPE TO GET THIS UNDER THE P67 RECALL AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHEN MY MODEL AND MILEAGE IS THE SAME AS OTHERS WHEN THE ISSUES OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NAPERVILLE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM LOCATED AT 1565 W OGDEN AVE, NAPERVILLE, IL 60540, (630) 505-8282, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,901.
ALTERNATOR STOPPED WORKING, CHANGED THE BATTERY AND LIGHT TURNED ON SAYING BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW. DRIVER WINDOW AND MIRROR BUTTONS STOPPED WORKING AT THE SAME TIME, CAUSING US TO THINK IT WAS THE BATTERY THAT WAS NOT WORKING BUT STILL DOES NOT WORK AFTER THE BATTERY WAS CHANGED.

AFTER PARKING VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY AT HOME, I OPENED THE DOOR AND ROTATED MY BODY TO EXIT THE CAR WHEN I HEARD A VERY LOUD 'POP' AND REALIZED THE HEADREST HAD COME VERY FAR FORWARD. I FOUND PIECES OF PLASTIC IN THE SEAT BEHIND ME AND AM UNABLE TO MOVE THE HEADREST BACK TO A 'CLOSED' POSITION.
UNABLE TO GET PARTS FOR THE W79 RECALL FOR THE EGR COOLER AFTER WAITING MORE THAN 6 MONTH. CURRENT WAIT IS MORE THAN 3 MORE MONTHS. THIS RECALL CAN CAUSE FIRES TO BREAK OUT IN THE ENGINE AND IS NOT BEING HANDLED PROPERLY BY THE MANUFACTURER!
THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY AND I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE CAR WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP AND I LOOKED OVER AND SAW THAT THE HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED OUT OF NOWHERE.
I WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE, THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN I HEARD AN EXTREMELY LOUD POP NOISE! I THOUGHT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT OR SOMETHING HAD SMACKED INTO MY CAR UNTIL I REALIZED THE LOUD NOISE CAME FROM THE HEADREST POPPING COMPLETELY OPEN! I AM VERY GRATEFUL THAT I WASN'T DRIVING AT THE TIME AS THIS SURELY COULD HAVE CAUSED ACCIDENT AND OR INJURY OR BOTH.
THE HEADREST POPPED OUT DURING NORMAL HIGHWAY DRIVING, THE RESULT ALMOST CAUSED A HEAD ON COLLISION AT 45 MPH.
LIFTERS EXTREMELY NOISY. LOSS OF POWER. DEALER STATES THEY ARE FINE. WERE REPLACED ONCE UNDER WARRANTY, 2 YEARS LATER SAME PROBLEM. DEALER TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE ENGINE.
I CONTINUE TO HAVE ROCKER ARM AND SUSPENSION BEARING AND TICK TICK TICK SOUNDS AFTER TWO SEPARATE REPAIRS. ALL OF THE ITEMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED NOT JUST ONE OR TWO. IT IS A 12 DOLLAR PART. THE LABOR TO DISASSEMBLE AND REASSEMBLE CAR IS ASTRONOMICAL. HAVE BEEN WITHOUT CAR TWO TIMES FOR OVER 15 DAYS. TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY.
PASSENGER SEAT HEAD REST UNEXPECTEDLY EXPLODED OUTWARD WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY HITTING MY WIFE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. COULD NOT RESET THE HEADREST AS IT SEEMS THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS THE HEADREST INTO PLACE FAILED AND RELEASED IT.
DRIVERS SEATBELT DOES NOT RETRACT WHEN OPENING DOOR OR LOCK WHEN DRIVING. I HAVE REPLACED THE PASSENGER SEATBELT AT A COST OF $585.00 IN APRIL, 2020. THIS IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THE 2014 MODEL.
