FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT STOPPED RETRACTING. MADE IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT COVERS THE ATTACHMENT IS BROKEN IN SEVERAL PLACES AND PINCHES THE SEAT BELT. THE ENTIRE UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS APPEARS TO BE KNOWN ISSUE WITH JEEP AND SHOULD PART OF A SAFETY RECALL. I WAS ON A PARKING LOT WHEN THE SEAT BELT STOPPED RETRACTING. THE COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM WAS $783.42.
THE FORWARD COLLISIN CONTROL WAS TURNED ON. IT STARTED BEEPING WHEN NO ONE WAS NEAR ME AT ALL FROM ANY SIDE OF VEHICLE. THEN THE BRAKES SLAMMED LIKE IT WAS PREVENTING A REAR END COLLISIN BY MY VEHICLE. MY CAR SLID TO A STOP AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MILES AN HOUR. IT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME AND I HAVE HAD THAT SAFETY SENSOR OPTION TURNED TO OFF EVER SINCE THIS INCIDENT.
NO PARTICULAR INCIDENT - VEHICLE SEAT BELT MECHANISM CRACKED. JEEP DEALER DOESN'T OFFER A WARRANTY, WHICH IS HAZARDOUS TO DRIVE. THE SEAT BELT DOES NOT RETRACT. SEAT BELT WILL NOT CATCH IF IN AN ACCIDENT, AND THE DRIVER WILL HIT THE STEERING WHEEL OR DASHBOARD. INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL ALSO NOT COVER 500$ REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR.
MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE OVERNIGHT. WHEN I GOT INTO MY VEHICLE I NOTICED THE DRIVER SIDE HEADREST WAS HANGING DOWN. I TOOK A LOOK AND NOTICED TWO PLASTIC PIECES WERE BROKEN. I DID A QUICK SEARCH TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND FOUND THAT EVERY GRAND CHEROKEE FORUM PEOPLE WERE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND HAS NOT BEEN IN A COLLISION, ADDITIONALLY I HAVEN'T ADJUSTED MY HEADREST IN YEARS. IT SEEMS THAT THE PIECES ARE FAILING ON THE ACTIVE HEADREST.
THE HEADREST ON THE SEAT, WHILE SITTING IN CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY IT BROKE LOOSE AT THE PIN AND HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD.THE PIN REMAINED LOCKED IN AND BURST OUT AT AREA THAT HOLDS IT IN.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT BOTH FRONT SEATBELTS WILL NOT RETRACT. WHEN YOU ARE SEATED, THERE IS ABOUT 1 FOOT OF BELT LEFT LEFT DANGLING, YOU CANNOT PUSH IT BACK IN. JEEP DEALER QUOTED $1000+ TO REPLACE THEM.
WHILE MY CAR WAS SITTING IDLE AT A STOP LIGHT WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF WILMINGTON, NC THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST EXPLODED. THERE WAS NO CONTACT MADE TO MY VEHICLE, THE HEADREST JUST EXPLODED AND SPRUNG FORWARD. NOBODY WAS INJURED. UNTIL I ARRIVED HOME AND GOOGLED WHAT HAPPENED I DIDN'T REALIZE THE HEADREST ACTED AS AN AIRBAG OR THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE.
MY CAR WAS PARKED AND THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND DEPLOYED. I HAVE NEVER BEEN REAR-ENDED/HAD MY CAR IN AN ACCIDENT, SO IT WOULD MAKE NO SENSE FOR THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. MY CAR WAS PARKED AT THE TIME OF THE DEPLOYMENT.
I VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND I WAS LOADING MY BOAT ON THE TRAILER AND WHEN I GOT IN THE CAR REALIZED THEY HAD POPPED WHILE IT WAS PARKED. IT IS NOT COMFORTABLE RIDING WITH HEADRESTS POPPED AND WE ARE CONCERNED FOR OUR SAFETY IF WE WERE TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT.
THE PASSENGER SEAT HEAD REST ACTIVATED WHILE DRIVING.
MY JEEP WAS SITTING UNDER MY CARPORT AND WHEN I WENT TO GET INTO IT THE HEADREST HAD POPPED OPEN. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPEN UNTIL I GOOGLE AND FOUND THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO THEM.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT SUDDENTLY WOULD NOT RETRACT, EVEN WHILE FEEDING IT BY HAND BACK INTO THE SPOOL. WE FOUND THAT THE SLOT IN THE B PILLAR, THROUGH WHICH THE SEAT BELT RETRACTS, IS CRACKED. THIS HAS CAUSED THE SEAT BELT TO BE PINCHED. IF A SMALL SCREWDRIVER IS USED TO PRY OPEN THE SLOT, THE SEAT BELT RETRACTS. A SEAT BELT NOT RETRACTING IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE A WARRANTEE REPAIR OR SUBJECT TO A RECALL, NEITHER OF WHICH SEEM TO APPLY.
2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED 3.6L -67K MILES. CRACKED OIL FILTER HOUSING. NOTICED A SMALL OIL LEAK FALL 2020 ON MY GARAGE FLOOR AFTER OIL CHANGE FROM LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. LATE WINTER 2021 NOTICED THE LEAK WAS BIGGER ON GARAGE FLOOR. CHECKED UNDER CAR AROUND OIL PAN. OIL PAN NUT AREA WAS CLEAN OF OIL, BUT OIL WAS DRIPPING DOWN ENGINE AND OVER EXHAUST AND ONTO THE TRANSMISSION. NOTICED OIL PUDDLING INSIDE TRANSMISSION SKID PLATE. LOOKED ONLINE FOR CAUSES AND FOUND THE OIL FILTER HOUSING WAS KNOWN TO CRACK ON THESE ENGINES. I LOCATED MY OIL FILTER NEAR THE TOP OF THE ENGINE AND FOUND OIL ALL AROUND THE BASE OF THE HOUSING. THE FILTER NECK WAS CLEAN OF OIL, JUST A POOL OF OIL AT THE BASE OF THE NECK!! LOOKED UP CHRYSLER RECALLS AND NOTHING REPORTED FOR THIS PART. BUT DID FIND MANY SAME ENGINE OWNERS COMPLAINING OF THIS SAME PROBLEM! READ MANY ARTICLES ABOUT THIS PRODUCT BEING MADE OF PLASTIC AND FAILING. ALL OF MY OIL CHANGES HAVE BEEN FROM THE SAME LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. DID THEY CAUSE THIS BY OVER TIGHTENING OIL FILTER? OR IS THIS TRULY A DEFECT PRODUCT AND CHRYSLER IS WAITING FOR A VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE OR A DEATH BEFORE A RECALL IS ISSUED? ARE VEHICLE ENGINE FIRES CAUSED BY OIL LEAKING ONTO EXTREMELY HOT ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/EXHAUST PARTS??
DOCUMENTED ISSUES AND CONCERNS ABOUT SLIPPING TRANSMISSION, SLUGGISH SHIFTING UP AND DOWN. SERVICED AT ONLY JEEP DEALERS- NEVER NOTIFIED OF AN ISSUE AND NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO MY CONCERN ABOUT TRANSMISSION. CAR WENT IN FOR (4) ANNUAL SERVICE WITH A DOCUMENTED CONCERN ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION. NOTHING DETECTED. JUST NOTIFIED CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION AT JUST UNDER 44,000.
SEAT BELT STOPPED RETRACTING AND HAD TO BE REPLACED COMPLETELY. ORIGINAL OWNER OF VEHICLE WITH NO PREVIOUS DAMAGES TO SEATBELT
WHILE DRIVING IN MY HOMETOWN ABOUT 30 MPH THE TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING AND SMOKE CAM FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CAUSE WAS A HYDRAULIC FILLED MOTOR MOUNT BREAKING AND OIL BLEW OUT.
WHILE DRING IN MY HOMETOWN AT ABOUT 30 MPH THE TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING AND I NOTICED SMOKE FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CAUSE WAS LATER DETERMINED TO BE A HYDRAULIC FILLED MOTOR MOUNT BREAKING ON DRIVERS SIDE AND LANDING ON EXHAUST PIPE.
I AM DRIVING THIS MORNING TO AN APPOINTMENT IN THE I 75 WHEN A TAKE THE EXIT AT 20 MPH AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. NO CRASH , NOTHING HAPPEN OUTSIDE WHEN I SEE MY SON AND THE BOOM OF THE HEADREST
ON 9/23/20 MY 2014 GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN CAUSING ME TO CRASH INTO A FOUNTAIN WALL. I WAS PARKING AND ALMOST AT A COMPLETE STOP WHEN MY CAR WENT HAYWIRE. IT FELT AS IF I GOT HIT FROM BEHIND, MY DASH LIT UP, MY ENGINE REVVED REAL LOUD AND MY CAR LUNGED FORWARD. THERE WAS ENOUGH FORCE TO LIFT MY FRONT END AND PLACE IT ON THE 2ND TIER OF THE FOUNTAIN WALL. I WAS IN A TIGHT PARKING AREA AT THE HIALEAH GARDENS BUILDING DEPARTMENT. PLEASE GOOGLE EARTH THE PARKING LOT TO UNDERSTAND THE PARKING LOT AND HOW COMPACT IT IS. I HAD AN INVESTIGATION DONE ON MY CAR AND RECEIVED A VERY GENERIC RESPONSE VIA EMAIL REGARDING THE FINDINGS AND THAT CHRYSLER / JEEP WERE NOT LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE INCIDENT WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURING RESPONSIBILITY. NOT ONE PERSON HAS CALLED ME TO DISCUSS. JEEP IS VERY LUCKY MY KIDS WERE NOT IN THE CAR AND THAT I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE OR MYSELF. CUSTOMER CARE HAS BEEN A JOKE. THEY TOLD ME THAT I CAN REQUEST CALL BACKS BUT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT THE INVESTIGATION SHOWED ON MY CAR. MY CAR ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN! I CANNOT GET ANY RESPONSE FROM THE CHRYSLER / JEEP ON THE INVESTIGATION OF THE LITTLE BLACK BOX AND HOW THEY CAME UP WITH THEIR DECISION. I BELIEVE THEY SEND THESE GENERIC EMAILS OUT TO SHUT YOU UP AND HOPE NOTHING FURTHER COMES ABOUT. THEY KNOW WE HAVE NO MEANS OF TALKING TO ANYONE AND GET AWAY WITH HAVING DEFAULTED SUV'S. THEY GET AWAY WITH LYING AND BEING UNOBTAINABLE. I HAVE ADDITIONAL PICTURES IF YOU NEED TO SEE THEM
WHILE SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT, PASSENGER SIDE SAFETY HEADREST DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN.
WHEN DRIVING ON ANY TYPE OF ROAD, YOU BEGIN TO FEEL VIBRATIONS WHEN HITTING 65 OR FASTER. THE VIBRATIONS ARE VISIBLE IN THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL RIGHT YOU HEAR A POPPING NOISE.
WHILE IN MOTION THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL. THE LOSS OF DRIVE COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO THOSE IN THE CAR AND SURROUNDING VEHICLES.
REAR HATCH DOOR DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE AFTER ELEVATING. HATCH DOOR OPENS AUTOMATICALLY AS IT SHOULD. THE HATCH THEN FALLS (CLOSES) QUICKLY AND HEAVILY WITHOUT INITIATION. VEHICLE WAS PARKED, ENGINE OFF, PARKED IN A PARKING SPACE AT THE GROCERY STORE THE FIRST TIME IT OCCURRED. OCCURS CONTINUOUSLY, HAS NOT RESOLVED. HATCH HAS FALLEN ON MY HEAD AND MY BACK.
MY PASSENGER SIDE REAR HATCH DOOR SIGNAL LIGHT WAS SHORTED OUT DUE TO WATER NOT MOISTURE SEEPING IN SHORTING OUT THE LED. THIS IS NOT A MOVING PART AND THE SEAL SHOULD HOLD FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR. ACCORDING THE THE JEEP'S PART DEPT."WE SELL HOUNDREDS OF THEM" IF SO THEN THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL...
DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST BECAME SUDDENLY UNATTACHED AND BROKEN WHILE STATIONARY. HEADREST CUSHION WILL NOT SNAP BACK INTO PLACE BECAUSE OF A BROKE PART INSIDE THE HEADREST WITH THE MECHANICS, THE PART IS UNKNOWN.
LEATHER DASHBOARD IS COMING LOOSE AND CURLING OFF DASH,IMPEDING DEFROSTER
SAME AS MANY MANY OTHERS. FRONT SEAT BELTS ARE FAILING TO RETRACT DUE TO A CRACKED GUIDE FROM THE SHOULDER TO BODY OF CAR BEND. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP WITH A FACTORY WARRANTY REMAINING ON MY 2014 JGC LIMITED AND WAS TOLD ITS NOT COVERED..I PUT 6K MILES ON IT SINCE MY VEHICLE PURCHASE. CURRENT ODO 64,441. MY DAUGHTER CANT SAFELY DRIVE MY VEHICLE SINCE THE SEATBELT IS CURRENTLY A DRESS WITH ALL THE EXTRA SLACK.
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY TO HAVE THE TWO MOST RECENT RECALLS COMPLETED. SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND GLOW PLUG LIGHT CAME ON.
SEAT BELT STOPPED RETRACTING. PLASTIC GUIDE LOOKS CRACKED.
ENGINE FIRE OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. VEHICLE HAS 3.0L ECO DIESEL ENGINE. DODGE RAM 1500 TRUCKS WITH SAME ENGINE ARE ON RECALL (FCA VB1/NHTSA 19V-757) FOR FIRES DUE TO EGR COOLER FAILURE, BUT THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. I AM A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER THAT DETERMINED THE FIRE ORIGIN AND CAUSE OF THE VEHICLE IS DUE TO THE SAME ISSUE. YESTERDAY, I PARTICIPATED IN A DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION OF THE VEHICLE WITH A REPRESENTATIVE FOR FCA PRESENT. HOWEVER, I AM NOT CONFIDENT THAT FCA WILL PROVIDE NOTICE OF THIS ISSUE TO NHTSA IN A TIMELY MANNER, IF FCA PROVIDES NOTICE AT ALL. THE FIRE ORIGINATED INSIDE THE ENGINE INTAKE CONSISTENT WITH AN EGR COOLER FAILURE. I URGE NHTSA TO INVESTIGATE THIS MODEL VEHICLE AND EXTEND THE RECALL BEYOND THE DODGE RAM 1500 TRUCKS. MILEAGE PROVIDED IS AS OF LAST OIL CHANGE JUNE 12, 2020. THE SPEED LISTED IS AN ESTIMATE BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED FROM THE PERSON DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THE FIRE OCCURRED.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEADREST SYSTEM DEPLOYED. UPON EXAMINING IT APPEARS THAT THE PLASTIC STRUCTURE THAT HOLDS THE PIN IN PLACE ON BOTH ENDS FAILED ON THE END CLOSEST TO THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR. THE 'CLIP' WHICH HOLDS THE PIN AND WOULD RELEASE IT IN AN ACCIDENT WAS STILL HOLDING ONTO THE PIN. THERE WAS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAN, HOW FORTUNATELY HAD HIS HEAD FORWARD INCIDENTALLY WHEN THE DEPLOYMENT OCCURRED AND WAS NOT STRUCK.
RE: 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN (UNDER 30 MPH) AND SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP LIGHT. THERE WAS A LOUD POPPING SOUND... WHEN I STOPPED, I FOUND THAT THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT HAD SEPARATED/DEPLOYED INTO TWO MAIN PIECES THAT WOULD PUSH THE PASSENGERS HEAD FORWARD! I CANNOT RETURN THE HEADREST TO IT'S ORIGINAL POSITION! THIS MAKES IT SO THERE CANNOT BE A PASSENGER (ANYBODY!!!) SITTING IN THAT SEAT!!! I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS FIXED!!! THIS IS WRONG AND SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!!! IT"S NOT SAFE!!! JEEP SHOULD FIX THIS AT NO EXPENSE TO THE VEHICLE OWNER (BEFORE IT EVER HAPPENS)! IT COULD INJURE SOMEONE WITHOUT ANY REASON EXCEPT FOR A CAR DEFECT! IT SHOULD BE FIXED AT NO COST TO THE VEHICLE OWNER!
THE HEADREST RANDOMLY BURSTED OPEN WHILE DRIVING. NO IMPACT OR CRASH OCCURRED DURING OR PRIOR, JUST RANDOMLY POPPED OPEN.
UPON BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT MY ACTIVE HEADREST RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WITH NO REASON OTHER THAN FAULTY EQUIPMENT. THE HEADREST STRUCK THE BACK SIDE OF MY HEAD. I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM A MIGRAINE FOR 2 DAYS AFTER THE INCIDENT. *DT*JB
MY 2014 GC ALTITUDE HAD THE DRIVERS SIDE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS HEADREST RANDOMLY DEPLOY AS NO PART OF A COLLISION THIS PAST WEEKEND. THIS IS NOT ONLY A MAJOR SAFETY RISK FOR THE PASSENGER BUT, COULD HAVE BEEN QUITE TRAUMATIC SHOULD THE RANDOM DEPLOYMENT HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I HAVE SPENT WAY TOO MUCH TIME RESEARCHING AND THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM IS ONE OF PLASTIC FAILURE. LOOK INSIDE THE HEAD REST FOR THE SMALL METAL, HORIZONTAL PIN AND IF IT IS STILL HELD IN PLACE BY THE METAL RETAINING HOOKS THEN THE PLASTIC FAILED IN THE HEADREST. NHTSA HAS HAD AN INVESTIGATION OPENED ON IT FOR A YEAR NOW BUT, I DON'T THINK THERE HAS BEEN ANY MOVEMENT ON IT SINCE LATE LAST YEAR AS THE MANUFACTURER STALLS FOR TIME. I HOPE THIS WILL RESULT IN A RECALL AT SOME POINT IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE BEFORE MORE PEOPLE ARE INJURED.
THE AIR BAG FOR THE DRIVERS HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT IMPACT. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND IT APPEARS THERE IS AN OPEN INVESTIGATION FOR SIMILAR INCIDENTS.
MY 2014 GRAND CHEROKEE WAS PARKED AND THE HEAD REST POPPED OUT. IT BROKE A PIECE WHEN IT POPPED OPEN AND NOW HAS TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED.
MY VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. DEPLOYED/BROKEN TABS WITH PASSENGER ACTIVE HEADREST ON MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. I DID NOT HAVE ANY ACCIDENTS SO I AM CONFUSED ON HOW IT COULD HAVE EVEN DEPLOYED. I WAS IN MY VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE HEADREST WAS DEPLOYED. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE IT IS THE SAME SYSTEM WITH MY AIRBAGS, I DO NOT KNOW IF MY AIRBAGS ARE FAULTY AT THIS POINT. I CALLED THE DEALORSHIP AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM. LOOKING FOR A GOODWILL REPLACEMENT OF THE HEADREST. IF SOMEONE HAS INFORMATION ON WHAT DIRECTION ICAN TAKE PLEASE HELP.
WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER JEEP THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED ITS SAFETY MEASURES FOR ITS ACTIVE HEADRESTS. SHE WAS GOING AROUND 15-20 MPH THROUGH A SUBDIVISION. NO JARRING OR ABRUPT MOTIONS WERE DONE DURING THE DEPLOYMENT. WHILE THIS DID STRIKE ME, IT DID NOT CAUSE ANY TYPE OF INJURIES, HOWEVER WE DO HAVE TWO CHILDREN AND I'M THANKFUL THEY WERE NOT IN THE SEAT AT THE TIME. UPON INSPECTION OF THE HEADREST, I CAN SEE WHERE PLASTIC CLIPS LOOK TO HAVE BROKEN OFF. PICTURES OF THIS ARE ATTACHED. I WOULD REQUEST THE NHTSA TO TAKE A LOOK INTO THESE REPORTS AS I'VE SEEN THEY'RE COMMON. I WORRY NOW THAT MY WIFE'S DRIVERS SIDE WILL DEPLOY ON HER AT RANDOM WHILE SHE IS DRIVING CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHO STATED THEY KNOW OF THE ISSUE HOWEVER IT IS NOT PART OF A RECALL OR WARRANTY AND WOULD LIKELY BE AROUND $1,000 TO RESOLVE.
WENT OUT MORNING TO GET INTO THE CAR THAT HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT AND FOUND THE DRIVER HEADREST DEPLOYED.
DRIVER SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED AND IS PROTRUDING FORWARD.
MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST HAS COME LOOSE, IT'S THE CUSHIONED PART THAT YOUR HEAD ACTUALLY RESTS ON AND IT CONTAINS AN AIRBAG SO I AM CONCERNED THE AIRBAG MAY INFLATE WHILE I AM DRIVING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND THEY SAY I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED. THE COST IS $750 PLUS INSTALLATION.
MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO 4X4 "S GRILLE COWL IS CRACKING SO BAD THAT IT IS MAKING A HOWLING NOISE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT HAS BEEN GRADUALLY GETTING WORSE. IT IS TO THE POINT NOW THAT IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I FEEL IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY JEEP.
I I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT WITH NO OTHERS CARS AROUND ME AND NO OCCUPANTS IN THE CAR. ALL OF A SUDDEN I WAS HIT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. IT WAS HARD ENOUGH THAT I SAW STARS WHICH RESULTED IN A MINOR HEADACHE. NO LIGHTS CAME ON, NO WARNING OF ANY KIND. I PROCEEDED TO A PARKING LOT TO SEE WHAT IT WAS THAT HIT ME AND MY HEADREST HAD COME APART AND POPPED FORWARD.
PASSENGER SEATBELT WON'T RETRACT.
I WAS DRIVING AND MY ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED UNEXPECTEDLY WITHOUT CAUSE.
PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT (AHR) UNEXPECTEDLY DEPLOYED OVERNIGHT WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THEIR WAS A PROBLEM NOR WAS THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN ANY SORT OF ACCIDENT OR IMPACT. VISUAL INSPECTION INDICATES THAT THE PLASTIC RETENTION CLIP PORTION OF THE AHR BROKE AWAY FROM THE METAL PIN MECHANISM CAUSING THE AHR TO DEPLOY.
I HAVE BEEN GETTING AN ERROR ON MY VEHICLE THAT SAYS "SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM" AND AN ERROR THAT SAYS " SERVICE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM". I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND SEE OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH A DRAGGING OF THE MOTOR INTO THE NEXT GEAR AND A HESITANT JERK SOMETIMES. I FOUND OUT THAT THE RIGHT SPEED SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IS JEEP DOING ANYTHING TO REIMBURSE CUSTOMERS THAT HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET.
THE HEADREST ON THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT DEPLOYED WITHOUT IT BEING IN A CAR ACCIDENT.
I WAS DRIVING TODAY AUGUST 25 WHEN SUDDENLY I HEAR LIKE A EXPLOSION I THOUGHT A CAR HIT ME I FELT A PAIN IN MY HEAD. WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR I NOTICED THAT THE HEADREST OF MY JEEP WAS OPEN.
