RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE N28, NHTSA 13V23400, AND CONTACT DEALER IN MICHIGAN CITY, IN 46360 SAME DAY TO GET REPAIR DONE. I HAVE SINCE CONTACT THE DEALER IN MC 3 MORE TIMES AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PART (TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE) IN STOCK TO DO THE REPAIR. ADVISE ME IT IS NOT RECEIVING THE TUBES FROM CHRYSLER AND THEY WILL CALL ME BACK THE NEXT DAY. THEY NEVER CALL ME BACK AND I HAVE TO KEEP CONTACTING THEM ONLY TO GET THE RUN AROUND THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TUBE IN STOCK. *TR

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE RECALL NOTICE AND UNSATISFACTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE AT DEALERSHIP AFTER DEALERSHIP DAMAGED VEHICLE HOOD LOCK. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE SAT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF, ONLY TO BE TOLD THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED SOMEONE JAMMED THE HOOD LOCK, SO THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO HONOR THE RECALL.

SAFETY RE-CALL NOTICE: THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE ON THE VEHICLE MAY INADVERTENTLY COME IN CONTACT WITH THE POWER STEERING FLUID RETURN TUBE. THIS TUBE TO TUBE CONTACT COULD EVENTUALLY CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE TO DEVELOP A WEAR HOLE AND LEAK. A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID COULD CAUSE TRANSMISSION DAMAGE AND IF THE LEAKING FLUID COMES IN CONTACT WITH AN IGNITION SOURCE, CAUSE AN UNDERBODY FIRE. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS RECALL NOTICES REGARDING THE N28/NHTSA 13 V-234 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WILD JEEP/HONDA IN WISCONSIN I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD ONLY ORDER 1 PART EVERY 10 DAYS AND AT THAT RATE I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE REPAIRS NEEDED FOR 6- 8 MONTHS. CONSIDERING THE POTENTIAL DANGER THE WAIT TIME ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. HOW IS CHRYSLER UNABLE TO HAVE THESE PARTS? I DO NOT FEEL THIS IS REASONABLE, IT PUTS MY FAMILY IN UNNECESSARY DANGER. *TR

DEALERS REPORT THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED ONE RECALL PART PER WEEK OR TWO WEEKS, NOW BACKED UP FOR MONTHS. THEY REPORT 100'S OF PERSONS WAITING ON THEIR LIST. AT THIS POINT I'M JUST TOLD TO CALL BACK AND TRY AGAIN... I CAN'T EVEN GET ON A LIST TO WAIT. *TR

I HAVE A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED WITH 40K MILES. AROUND 15K MILES, I STARTED EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE DRIVER SIDE AND FRONT WINDSHIELD HEATING/DEFROSTING NOT WORKING. HEATING WORKS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BUT NOT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEATING OR WINDSHIELD AREAS. THIS ISSUE CREATES A COMFORT PROBLEM DURING COLD DAYS DUE TO NO HEAT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DOES NOT DEFROST PROPERLY WITHOUT SUFFICIENT HEAT, CREATING UNSAFE DRIVING SCENARIOS. THIS ISSUE WAS INTERMITTENT AT FIRST, BUT OVER THE PAST 20K MILES HAS BECOME A FREQUENT COMFORT AND SAFETY ISSUE. THIS DEFECT/ISSUE/DESIGN FLAW IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE CURRENT WRANGLER UNLIMITED AS A NUMBER OF OTHERS I KNOW WITH THE SAME VEHICLE EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE AND YOU CAN FIND ENDLESS COMPLAINTS OF THE ISSUE ON LINE. MY DEALER ALSO EXPLAINED THEY RECEIVE FREQUENT COMPLAINTS FOR THIS PROBLEM. I BROUGHT MY JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY EXPLAINED I NEED THE HEATING CORE REPLACED, AND DUE TO ITS LOCATION BEHIND THE DASHBOARD WILL COST ME $1000+ TO REPAIR, PRIMARILY DUE TO THE LABOR REQUIRED TO PULL OFF THE DASHBOARD AND OTHER CAR PARTS TO REACH AND REPLACE THE HEATING CORE. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECOGNIZED SAFETY RECALL OR SERVICE BULLETIN BY JEEP/CHRYSLER WITH NO OUT OF POCKET REPAIR EXPENSE FOR THE VEHICLE OWNERS WHO EXPECT TO RECEIVE SAFE, HIGH QUALITY, WELL DESIGNED PRODUCTS FROM JEEP/CHRYSLER.

SINCE THAT TIME, I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS TIMES, FAIR OAKS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE, AND THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THAT CHRYSLER IS ONLY PROVIDING A SMALL NUMBER OF REPLACEMENT PARTS TO EACH DEALERSHIP EVERY FEW WEEKS. SO I HAVE BEEN PUT ON A CUSTOMER WAITING LIST, WHO ARE AT THE MERCY OF CHRYSLER TO SEND PARTS. I MAY NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS, BUT I HAVE TO SAY I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE RECALL OF A TRANSMISSION HOSE THAT MAY CAUSE A LOSS IN FLUID AND TRANSMISSION FUNCTION. DEALERSHIP INDICATES THAT ONLY 1 PART IS BEING RELEASED EVERY 7 DAYS AND IT WILL TAKE MONTHS TO GET THE PART IN. CALLED CHRYSLER WHO WAS OF NO HELP AND SAID TO BE PATIENT. THE RECALL LETTER WAS RECEIVED SEPTEMBER 2013. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THEY WERE NO LONGER RECEIVING THE PART TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE DEALER WHEN THE REPAIR WAS TO BEGIN BUT DID NOT CONFIRM WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
I WAS NOTIFIED OF A SAFETY RECALL REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE NOTICE N28 BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2013. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MULTIPLE DEALERS TO TRY TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE REPAIR DONE. I WAS TOLD THERE IS A WAITING LIST BECAUSE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. IT HAS NOW BEEN ALMOST 8 MONTHS SINCE WE TRIED TO GET OUR JEEP REPAIRED. I ASKED THE STATUS NUMEROUS TIMES WITHOUT ANY LUCK OF GETTING ANY ANSWER EXCEPT THE PARTS ARE NOT IN AND WE HAVE YOU ON THE LIST. YOUR HELP IN HOLDING CHRYSLER JEEP ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY AND DEATH. I PLAN ON FILING A LAW SUIT IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND WILL SUBPOENA THE NATIONAL TRAFFIC SAFETY ON THIS TOPIC IF NOT RESOLVED WITHIN A MONTH OF THIS SUBMISSION. IGNORING THIS REQUEST PUTS US AT RISK VERY SIMILAR TO THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL GM IS GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW AND THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE DIED. ON OR ABOUT 10 AM ON 8-16-13 OUR AIR BAG LIGHT WENT ON AND ALL STEERING WHEEL FUNCTIONS QUITE WORKING. ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATTER THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE EDR SYSTEM REPORTED THAT, NO AIRBAG WENT OFF AND THERE IS NO RECORDED EVENT. THIS FROM JEEPS CORPORATE INVESTIGATION. THE SRS MODULE IS ALSO FINE AND HAS NOT TRIGGERED ANY EVENT. THIS LEADS BACK TO THE CLOCK SPRING AND A SHORT THAT THEY NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED AT THE INVESTIGATION OF THE KNOW PART THAT WAS FAULTED/FAILED. *TR

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM CHRYSLER SEVERAL MONTHS AGO REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE. RECALL N28/NHTSA 13V-234. I HAVE CALLED RIVER OAKS JEEP AND CHRYSLER EVERY MONTH SINCE RECEIPT AND THEY SAID THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THEY SAID THAT CHRYSLER HAS NOT SENT THEM THE TUBE AND THEY HAVE SUCH A LONG RUNNING LIST THAT THEY QUIT TAKING NAMES. MY 17 YEAR OLD DRIVES THIS CAR AND IF IT IS IN ANY WAY UNSAFE THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM! IF THIS WILL CAUSE A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AFTER THE WARRANTY IS OUT, THIS WILL BE ANOTHER ISSUE.
