TAKATA RECALL. I WAS DRIVING AND STAR RAINING. TURN ON THE WIPER ,NO FUNCTION I CHECK WASHER, NOT WORKING. THEN I NOTICE NO HEAD LIGHTS,NO HORN'S,NO TAIL LIGHTS. 4 WAYS AND BRAKES LIGHT DOES WORK.
HAD TO REPLACE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS ON MY WRANGLER AND MY WIFE'S 2012 WRANGLER. BOTH ARE RHD. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SHAME ON JEEP
I JEEP PURCHASED THE JEEP NOV. 2, 2015. I JUST STARTED DRIVING THE JEEP. I WAS COMING HOME FROM WORK IT A POTHOLE AND THE JEEP STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY LIKE MY FRONTED WAS GOING TO COME APART AND DIDN'T STOP UNTIL I SLOWED DOWN.
BASICALLY GOING 80 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR DECIDES TO SHUT OFF, ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS. FORCING US TO STOP AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALL A TOW, KEEP IN MIND THIS ALL HAPPENED AT 2 AM IN THE MIDDLE OF A DARK EMPTY HIGHWAY. I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND AFTER RUNNING THE DIAGNOSTICS THEY TELL ME IT IS A FAULTY TIPM. NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME A $1,000 IN REPAIRS TO REPLACE A PART THAT COMES FAULTY FROM THE FACTORY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AS THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE ENGINE HEAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,500.
ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. THE RIGHT SIDE TIRE BRAKE ENGAGED AND LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE AND HIT A BRICK SIGN WITH MY RIGHT SIDE AT ABOUT 25 MPH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY, AND MY FRONT END IS COMPLETELY DESTROY.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN SHUT OFF, WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION THEY STATED THAT IT WOULD NOT PASS BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. I HAVE READ THAT THIS HAS BECOME A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY YEAR VEHICLE, AND THAT THERE MAY BE AN INVESTIGATION IN REGARDS TO IT. THE PROBLEM THAT WAS DIAGNOSED WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE IN THE CLOCK SPRING/STEERING WHEEL. I HAD TO REPLACE THE CLOCK SPRING FOR A TOTAL OF $518.31 OUT-OF-POCKET
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND TURN SIGNALS INDEPENDENTLY ACTIVATED AND ALL THE INTERIOR LIGHTING WILL FALL TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE WHEN I TURN ON THE LEFT BLINKER. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TAILGAIT. AFTER ABOUT 3 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE THE TAILGATE HINGE DID NOT STOP THE TAILGATE FROM OPENING UP A FULL 180 DEGREES CAUSING THE ELBOW JOINT TO COME COMPLETELY OUT AND MY RIGHT TAIL LIGHT TO BE SHATTERED. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER SHIP THAT THIS WAS COMMON ISSUE, BUT THEY WOULD NOT RETURN MY CALLS/EMAILS TO GET IT FIXED.
SEVERAL PROBLEMS OCCURRED ELECTRONICALLY WITH MY WRANGLER IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS. 1. HEADLIGHTS TURNED ON WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE STORE 2. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON (4CYL. MISFIRE) BUT CLEARED ITSELF AFTER 100 MILES 3. WHILE SITTING IDLE AT A RED LIGHT, THE DASH WARNING LIGHT LIT UP AND FLICKERED AS WELL AS CHIMED FOR A MINUTE. 4. WHILE CRUISING ON THE INTERSTATE ABOUT 70MPH, THE JEEP SHUT OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS AND TURNED BACK ON BEFORE I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME.
THE JEEP DEATH WOBBLE: I CANNOT DRIVE OVER 55 MPH WITHOUT THE WOBBLE OCCURRING. NEW TIRES AND AN ALIGNMENT HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THERE APPEARS TO BE HUNDREDS OF REFERENCES TO THIS PROBLEM ON LINE. WHEN WILL JEEP OFFER A SOLUTION?
DATE OF OCCURRENCE: 10/30/2015 AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES UNATTENDED, THE PARKING BRAKE SPONTANEOUSLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY, COMING TO REST AFTER HITTING A TREE IN THE NEIGHBOR'S YARD. THE LOCAL POLICE WERE NOTIFIED; NO REPORT FILED DUE TO THE ONLY PRIVATE PROPERTY INVOLVED. INJURIES TO THE OWNER WHEN TRYING TO CATCH THE VEHICLE INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: SEVERE FACIAL TRAUMA AND LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, DISLOCATED LEFT SHOULDER REQUIRING SURGERY, BROKEN 4TH AND 5TH RIBS, BROKEN BONE IN LEFT HAND.

TIPM FAILURE WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC VEHICLE STALLED CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
CONFIRMED BAD CLOCKSPRING UNIT BY DEALERSHIP THAT CONTROLS THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. UNIT WAS NOT EXPOSED TO ANYTHING EXTREME LIKE WATER OR HEAT BUT JUST STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED THE SENSOR LIGHT GOES BACK OFF SO THE SENSOR TURNS ON AND OFF WITH REGULAR DRIVING ON ANY ROAD OR CONDITION.
JUST OVER A MONTH AGO I WAS GOING TO WORK, AND NOTICED THAT MY TURN SIGNALS WERE NOT WORKING. I TRIED MOVING THE TURN SIGNAL UP AND DOWN TO NO AVAIL. I ALSO NOTICED THAT MY HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON. I PULLED OVER AND THOUGHT MAYBE A FUSE WENT BAD OR SOMETHING AND FOUND EVERY SINGLE FUSE TO BE FINE. I THEN ALSO NOTICED THAT THE DIGITAL COMPASS READOUT ON THE DASH WAS NOT FUNCTIONING, AND I COULD NOT SCROLL THROUGH THE MENUS WITH THE MAIN COMPUTER USING THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS. THE HAZARD LIGHTS WOULD WORK PROPERLY...AND THE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH PROPERLY WHEN I LOCKED THE DOORS WITH MY KEY FOB...WHICH TOLD ME THAT THE CIRCUIT WAS STILL WORKING. AFTER ABOUT 25 MINUTES OF FIDDLING EVERYTHING SUDDENLY STARTED WORKING AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY, WHILE AT WORK I WENT TO LUNCH, AND WHEN I RETURNED TO WORK AS I PULLED INTO THE PARKING SPOT, MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS RANDOMLY TURNED ON WITHOUT ME TURNING THEM ON...AND I COULD NOT GET THEM TO TURN OFF...EVEN WITH THE ENGINE OFF. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO GET THEM TO GO OFF. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS THE TIPM I FIGURED WELL...NOW I DO HAVE A NEW UNIT AND SHOULD BE FINE. THAT FANTASY WAS DESTROYED YESTERDAY WHEN I WENT TO GO HOME FROM WORK, AND SUDDENLY MY LIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN ON...THEN GOT STUCK ON AND COULDN'T TURN THEM OFF...AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT TURN ON AT ALL...AND THE TURN SIGNALS WOULD NOT FUNCTION...ALL WHILE GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. I LIVE IN VIRGINIA, AND WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HUGE RAIN EVENT, SO THE WIPERS AND LIGHTS FOR SURE NEEDED TO WORK IN ORDER FOR ME TO DRIVE HOME. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO GET EVERYTHING TO TURN OFF. AFTER DOING THAT...THE HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT TURN ON...AND THE WIPERS REMAIN THE SAME AND NOT WORKING. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD TO GET A RIDE HOME AFTER I MADE IT BACK TO WORK...HAVING TO LEAVE IT AT WORK.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION, WITH "MULTIPLE FRONT END IMPACTS" AND SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35-40 MPH, WHEN I HYDROPLANED (THIS IS MY BEST GUESS, I REALLY DON'T NOTE WHAT HAPPENED), AND VEERED TO THE SHOULDER. THE JEEP THEN WENT OFF THE ROAD, DROVE THROUGH A DEEP RAIN-FILLED DITCH, HIT THE FRONT END OF THAT DITCH, LAUNCHING THE JEEP AIRBORNE. DURING THAT IMPACT, THE FRONT AXLE WAS RIPPED OFF. I THEN LANDED IN ANOTHER DITCH (A CULVERT WITH 2 CEMENT WALLS), WHERE THE JEEP BOUNCED TWICE ON THE CEMENT WALL, CRACKING THE FRAME EACH TIME, THEN LANDED IN THE DITCH, WHERE I KEPT GOING UNTIL I HIT A SMALL CONSTRUCTION POLE. MY JEEP HAD THE ADDITIONAL SIDE AIRBAG PACKAGE. DESPITE THE SEVERITY OF THE CRASH, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND MY SEAT BELT NEVER TIGHTENED. THIS RESULTED IN ME BEING THROWN FORWARDS AND BACKWARDS MULTIPLE TIMES (AT LEAST 3 THAT I RECALL). I SUFFERED A TBI, AND MISSED 2.5 MONTHS OF WORK. I HAD TO QUIT MY SECOND JOB. I HAVE ALSO HAD ONGOING NECK PAIN, INITIALLY THOUGHT TO BE MUSCULAR. AN MRI RECENTLY COMPLETED SHOWS DISK HERNIATION OF C3-C6.

I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON 10/5/15, TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH, WHEN MY JEEP SUDDENLY JERKED TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING IT TO SWERVE OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A DITCH. THE JEEP HIT THE FRONT END OF THE DITCH AT AN ANGLE THAT LAUNCHED IT AIRBORNE, THEN LANDED ON THE CEMENT WALL OF A CULVERT APPROXIMATELY TWO FEET AWAY. THE JEEP BOUNCED TWICE ON THE CEMENT WALL, CRACKING THE FRAME IN TWO PLACES, THEN LANDED IN THE CULVERT, HIT THE FRONT END OF THE CULVERT, THEN HIT A SMALL POLE WHERE IT FINALLY STOPPED. DESPITE SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES THE ENTIRE TIME, NOTHING IN THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE WORKING. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND MY SEATBELTS DID NOT ENGAGE, CAUSING ME TO SLAM MY FOREHEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL WITH EACH IMPACT (3-4 TIMES, I HONESTLY DON'T RECALL) AND HITTING MY CHEST ONCE ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I CALLED CHRYSLER TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AFTER THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER RAISED CONCERNS ABOUT THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING, AND WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER AND TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED. AFTER A NUMBER OF FURTHER ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THEM, THEY HAVE REFUSED TO RETURN MY CALLS OR ACKNOWLEDGE MY COMPLAINTS. I AM NOW AWARE OF A NUMBER OF RECALLS REGARDING THE ORC MODULE IN MANY CHRYSLER VEHICLES, AND WONDER IF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IN MY ACCIDENT. I SUFFERED A SEVERE CONCUSSION AND WAS OUT OF WORK FOR THREE MONTHS. I HAD TO QUIT MY SECOND JOB, CAUSING SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL STRAIN ON MY FAMILY. I HAVE SINCE HAD CHRONIC NECK PAIN AND MIGRAINES, AN MRI SHOWED TRAUMATIC DISC HERNIATIONS AT C2-6, FOR WHICH I HAVE TO SEE A NEUROSURGEON. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE INJECTIONS AND OTHER PROCEDURES ON MY NECK SINCE THE ACCIDENT, BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE PAIN DAILY. AT MY REQUEST, MY INSURANCE COMPANY HAS KEPT THE TOTALED JEEP, UNTOUCHED, IN A SECURED LOT, UNTIL I CAN FIND SOMEONE TO HELP ME DETERMINE WHY THE SEATBELTS FAILED TO PROTECT ME.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON 10/2/2015 INVOLVING 2012 JEEP WRANGLER, MY VEHICLE JERKED TO THE RIGHT SUDDENLY CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL. THE JEEP WAS JERKED OFF THE ROAD INTO A DITCH ON THE RIGHT, HIT THE FRONT END OF THE DITCH AND WAS LAUNCHED AIRBORNE, THEN CRASHED ON THE CEMENT WALL OF A SECOND DITCH, BOUNCING TWICE BEFORE LANDING IN THE DITCH AND HITTING THE FRONT END OF THAT DITCH. I REPEATEDLY SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES BUT THEY DID NOT ENGAGE. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY SEAT BELT TENSIONER DID NOT ENGAGE, CAUSING ME TO BE THROWN FORWARD AND BACKWARDS REPEATEDLY. I SUFFERED A CLOSED HEAD INJURY AND HERNIATIONS TO MULTIPLE DISCS IN MY NECK AS WELL AS TRAUMA TO THE FACET JOINTS IN MY NECK, RESULTING IN SEVERE FORAMINAL STENOSIS AT MULTIPLE LEVELS THAT REQUIRES NEUROSURGICAL INTERVENTION. I SLAMMED MY HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL 4 TIMES, MY CHEST ONCE. THIS ACCIDENT FOREVER CHANGED MY LIFE. I HAVE REPEATEDLY CALLED FCA TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT, AM ALWAYS TOLD SOMEONE WILL CALL ME BACK. IT'S BEEN ALMOST TWO YEARS AND NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK. I WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER AND TOLD SOMEONE WOULD COME LOOK AT MY VEHICLE TO INSPECT IT, NEVER HAPPENED. AS I FACE URGENT SURGERY TO MY SPINE WITH PAIN TO MY NECK RADIATING DOWN MY RIGHT ARM, ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS CHRYSLER. THEY RECALLED 2016-2017 JEEP WRANGLERS FOR FAULTY WIRING OF THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE, AS WELL AS JEEP PATRIOTS AND COMPASSES MADE THE SAME YEAR AS MY VEHICLE ALONG WITH MILLIONS OF OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES. FCA REFUSES TO RETURN MY PHONE CALLS, HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE ARE THEY IGNORING? THEY NEED SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY DON'T RECALL ALL VEHICLES BUILT WITH THE SAME COMPONENTS, KNOWING THERE ARE MORE VEHICLES NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL THAT POSE A SAFETY RISK.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT LOCK USING FOB OR ROCKER SWITCH / WINDSHIELD WASHER WILL NOT WORK/ HEATER WILL NOT WORK/ RADIO DIMS WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED ON/ DOME LIGHT WILL NOT TURN ON UPON OPENING DOOR
MY 2012 JEEP WRANGLER WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 40MPH WHEN THE CLUTCH INADVERTENTLY WENT OUT. I AM CONCERNED THAT THERE MIGHT BE A GREATER PROBLEM RELATED TO THE FLYWHEEL AND THE RELATED CLUTCH ASSEMBLY OF THESE FACTORY PARTS ON THIS VEHICLE. I ONLY USE THIS VEHICLE TO COMMUTE IN THE CITY AND MY DRIVING HABITS ARE MILD. I DO NOT USE THIS VEHICLE OFF-ROAD AND I LIVE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA WHICH IS INCREDIBLY FLAT. THE CLUTCH AND SURROUNDING ASSEMBLY SHOULD NOT DEFECT AT 40K MILES.
MY COMPLAINT IS WITH MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER (JACK KEY MOTORS) WHO I CALLED 5 TIMES TO GET THIS RECALL TAKEN CARE OF. I WAS EITHER TOLD THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE KIT BECAUSE THE DEALER WAS ONLY GIVEN SO MANY, OR THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK TO SET UP A TIME, AS WELL AS I WENT THERE AND WAITED 20 MIN FOR THE SERVICE MANAGER TO GO "SEE" IF HE HAD A KIT, BUT AFTER 20 MINUTES OF WAITING I LEFT.SO I CALLED ANOTHER DEALER 39 MILES FROM MY TOWN, THEY ARE GETTING ME RIGHT IN. I FIND IS UNEXCEPTIONABLY, AS I AM A SERVICE WRITER IN A LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE SHOP.AS WELL PAID OVER 35,000 DOLLARS FOR A JEEP.
RIGHT AFTER 36 MONTH MARK (BUT BELOW 30,000MI MARK), AN AIR BAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT WENT ON. IT WOULD STAY ON FOR THE DURATION OF A TRIP OR EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED WITH ENGINE IDLING. MY VEHICLE WAS NEVER IN COLLISIONS, FENDER-BENDERS, OR OTHERWISE EXPERIENCED ANY INSULTS TO THE AIR BAG SENSORS OR WIRING. I HAD 7YR/75,000MI WARRANTY FROM CHRYSLER THAT ALLEGEDLY COVERS ALL MAJOR COMPONENTS AND ELECTRONICS. HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT COVER THE AIR BAGS. WHEN IT RAINS OR I WASH THE 3 PC HARD TOP LEAKS HEAVY RAIN AND I HAVE 1-2 INCHES OF STANDING WATER IN FLOOR PANS I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE ON JEEP OWNER FORUMS AND THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WET MUSTY SMELL DURING HOT WEATHER. NOT GOOD AT ALL
CAR LOST ALL POWER WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN ON A BUSY STREET. THE ISSUE TURNED OUT TO BE A DEFECTIVE TIPM WHICH COST OVER $1100 TO REPAIR.
2012 JEEP WRANGLER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO PARTS NOT AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE RECALL #14V-631 REPAIRS. *SMD THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, CHRYSLER GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER STATED THE PARTS HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS. *JB
AFTER DRIVING SOME NATIONAL FOREST GRAVEL ROADS IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS IN WASHINGTON STATE, MY AIR BAG DASH BOARD INDICATING LIGHT TURNED ON. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC EAMINATION OF THE CAR AND DETERMINED THAT THE CAR'S TIPM COMPUTER HAD FAILED INTERNALLY AND WAS NO LONGER SUPPLYING POWER TO THE AIRBAGS AND THAT THE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT FUNCTION. THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW TIPM AND QUOTED ME A PRICE OF ABOUT $1,400. I DID A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH AND DISCOVERED OTHER PEOPLE HAD ALSO EXPERIENCED EARLY TIPM COMPUTER FAILURES. FAILURE OF TIPM IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF IT DISABLES THE AIR BAG SYSTEM AS HAS HAPPENED ON MY JEEP.
I WAS OPERATING MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY AND ATTEMPTED TO ENGAGE THE STEERING WHEEL MOUNTED SPEED CONTROL. THE SPEED CONTROL FAILED TO TURN ON, SO I PRESSED THE BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES AND FOUND THAT IT WOULD NOT ACTIVATE (TURN ON AND SHOW "CRUISE" ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER). APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR LATER I PRESSED THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON SEVERAL MORE TIMES, AND IT EVENTUALLY SHOWED "CRUISE" IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER. I WAS THEN ABLE TO SET THE SPEED CONTROL TO 70 MPH. AFTER TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET, I ATTEMPTED TO SHUT IT OFF UTILIZING THE STEERING WHEEL MOUNTED BUTTON. THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DEACTIVATE BY PRESSING THE ON / OFF BUTTON. I WAS APPROACHING AN EXIT, AND WAS ABLE TO DEACTIVATE THE CRUISE CONTROL BY UTILIZING THE VEHICLES BRAKES, HOWEVER THE I COULD NOT SHUT THE POWER TO THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF UNTIL I SHUT THE JEEP IGNITION OFF. THE CRUISE CONTROL POWER BUTTON NOW WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. SOMETIMES IT WILL ACTIVATE THE CRUISE CONTROL POWER, SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE UTILIZING THE VEHICLE FEATURE DUE TO THE INABILITY TO CONSISTENTLY SHUT IT OFF. I HAVE CONDUCTED SOME RESEARCH ON LINE AND HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON JEEP FORUMS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THE FORUMS HAVE STATED THAT MANY JEEPS HAVE DEFECTIVE CLOCK SPRINGS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 20 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT IT TOOK A GREATER AMOUNT OF TIME TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT A PIECE OF THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE TIMES WHERE THE ENGINE WILL STALL AT IDLING OR LOW RPM'S. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALER 4 TIMES NOW AND OF COURSE THEY CANNOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. YESTERDAY, THEY CAR WOULD SIMPLY NOT START AT ALL AND IT ONLY HAS 28,000 MILES.
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, DIRECTIONAL SIGNALS, HORN, STEERING WHEEL RADIO CONTROLS, HEADLIGHTS FAILED AND REAR BACK POWER WINDOW WOULD NOT GO UP- THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN.
TAILGATE SWINGS BEYOND ALLOWABLE LIMIT, EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED ON A LEVEL SURFACE, CAUSING THE SWING ARM TO BREAK, BRAKE LIGHT TO CRACK AND INTERIOR TRIM PANELS TO BE DAMAGED.

PARKED IT AT 7:30 PM AND WOKE UP AT 2:30AM AND IT WAS ON FIRE
I HAVE A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON, NO MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE VEHICLE. I BOUGHT IT NEW AND HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH IT FROM THE BEGINNING. THE MOST RECENT PROBLEM HAS ALREADY BEEN REPORTED ON THIS WEBSITE BY SOMEONE ELSE. I WAS DRIVING AND THE CHECK ENGINE AND STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS BOTH CAME ON. ONCE THIS HAPPENS, ACCELERATION IS SIGNIFICANTLY COMPROMISED AND THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUES TO SHIFT BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THEY REPLACED SOME SENSORS AND TOLD ME IT WAS GOOD TO GO AND COME PICK IT UP. FIVE MINUTES AFTER I LEFT THE DEALER BOTH LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. TOOK IT BACK, THEY REPLACED SOME OTHER PARTS AND TOLD ME IT WAS READY. PICKED IT UP AND WITHIN TEN MINUTES BOTH LIGHTS WERE BACK ON. TOOK IT BACK AND THEY REPLACED THE COMPUTER, I WAITED THIS TIME, THEY SAID THOSE CODES WERE GONE ALTHOUGH A NEW CODE WAS NOW SHOWING UP. TOLD ME I COULD DRIVE IT AND THEY WOULD ORDER ME ANOTHER COMPUTER. YESTERDAY, WHILE SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE MOVIE THEATER A BELL STARTED GOING OFF, THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON, SWAY BAR LIGHT CAME ON, ALL OF THE GEAR POSITION LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE ENGINE RAN UP TO ABOUT 6000 RPMS. I TURNED IT OFF AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES IT RESTARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON AND THE CAR WOULD NOT GO OVER 20 MPH. I MADE IT HOME AND A WRECKER PICKED IT UP AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I AM WAITING TO HEAR WHAT THEY THINK IT IS THIS TIME.

I BOUGHT THIS WRANGLER ON 5-30-2015. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT TO FILL UP THE GAS TANK, I WAS EXPOSED TO THE FACT THAT THE TANK DOES NOT SHUT OFF AND OVERFLOWS ALL OVER THE JEEP (AND ME). THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERYTIME WE GO TO FILL UP, TO WHERE WE HAVE TO WATCH THE FUEL LEVEL ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT GET ALL THE WAY TO FULL. THIS INDEED HAPPENED AGAIN JUST A WEEK AGO SUNDAY WHEN WE WENT TO FILL UP AND I WAS SPEAKING WITH A GENTLEMEN WHO HAD JUST BOUGHT HIS JEEP AND I WAS TALKING TO HIM ABOUT HIS AND IF HE HAS HAD ISSUE WITH HIS GAS TANK OVERFLOWING. AS I WAS TALKING TO HIM YEP, YOU GUESSED IT, IT OVERFLOWED. NOW, I READ TODAY THAT CHRYSLER HAS SAID THAT IT HAS TO DO WITH THE TYPE OF FUEL YOU PUT INTO THE TANK?? REALLY??? SO I HAVE PUT IN ANYWHERE FROM 85, 87, 90, AND HIGHER GRADE FUELS, AND IT STILL HAPPENS? NEXT ARE THEY GOING TO SAY IT IS THE GAS STATION COMPANY I GO TO? THE WAY I PUT THE NOZZLE INTO THE TANK? (DOES THIS SOUNDS SARCASTIC WHEN YOU READ IT? GOOD) I FIND THAT COMMENT FROM CHRYSLER ABSOLUTELY DEMEANING AND IDIOTIC!!! IT HAS BEEN A KNOWN ISSUE ON SEVERAL PREVIOUS MODELS OF JEEPS, BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY ARE GOING TO IGNORE THIS ONE? WHAT WILL IT TAKE CHRYSLER? WILL IT TAKE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO GET YOUR COMPANY TO FIX THE PROBLEM? I NOW JUST READ A REPLY THAT SOMEONE HAD CONTACTED A LAW FIRM IN REGARDS TO A CLASS ACTION SUIT AND THAT IT HAD BEEN TRANSFERRED TO BANKRUPTCY COURT IN NEW YORK WHERE IT WAS STILL ALIVE AND THAT THE COURT HAD GRANTED CHRYSLER'S MOTION TO DISMISS STATING THEY ARE BARRED BY THE SALE ORDER BETWEEN BANKRUPT CHRYSLER AND THE NEW CHRYSLER. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE LEFT STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS QUIT WORKING, LATER ALL STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS QUIT WORKING. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR THE CLOCK SPRING WHICH WAS UP UNTIL MODELS MANUFACTURED IN NOVEMBER 2011. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. MINE IS A RIGHT HAND DRIVE MANUFACTURED IN MARCH 2012. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT HAPPENED OUT OF WARRANTY.

I'M BEING THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS UNIT & I HAD CHANGED THE OIL ON TIME. A VALVE LIFTER IS SOUNDING VERY HARD, I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE'S A RECALL FOR THAT MATTER, CAUSE I KNOW A BUNCH OF WRANGLER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN CONTROL I HAD TO GRIP THE STEERING WHEEL VERY TIGHT, WHITE KNUCKLE, AND PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY DURING MORNING RUSH HOUR. AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP THE WOBBLE STOPPED. I BRIGHT TO JEEP AND THE SAID PROBABLY THE STEERING. THE CALLED ME LATER AND SAID IT WAS THE UPPER LOWER BALL JOINTS, TIE RODS, ALIGNMENT, AND STEERING. 2200 BUCKS. FOR A CAR THAT'S ONLY A FEW YEARS OLD NO REASON SOMETHING LIKE THE BALL JOINTS SHOULD BE THAT WORN OR THAT I SHOULD EXPERIENCE A DEATH WOBBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE. PURCHASE DATE JEEP 7/2014 EAST HILLS CHRYSLER EAST HILLS NY. UPON DRIVING THE VEHICLE HOME. I NOTICED IT HAD THE REAR SEAT BELT RIPPED OUT, PARKING BRAKE WAS DEFECTIVE AND A NAIL IN RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK AND STATED "HOW WAS VEHICLE PAST A SAFETY INSPECTION"? THEIR WAS RESPONSE WAS THE "SORRY".THE CAR WAS ADVERTISED A PRE-CERTIFIED BASED ON THE A 100 POINT INSPECTION, WHICH IT NEVER HAD. THEY REPLACED THE SEAT BELT THAT NIGHT. 5/4/2015, DRIVING HOME THE REAL DIFFERENTIAL FAILED (MILES 48806) BOTH FRONT AND REAR WERE LEAKING. I WAS DRIVING AT RATE 50 MPH. THE CHAIN OF EVENTS OF THE FAILURE AFFECTED THE FLANGE AND YOLK OFF THE DRIVE SHAFT. I TOOK IT BACK TO EAST HILLS CHRYSLER. THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY COVERED THIS REPAIR HOWEVER, DURING THE FAILURE, I COULD NOT SHIFT TO SLOW THE VEHICLE, I HAD A LOT OF VIBRATION IN ON THE MANUAL STICK. I EXPRESSIVELY ASKED THE DEALER TO INSPECT THE CLUTCH, GEAR BOX AND TRANSMISSION FOR DAMAGE AS A RESULT FROM THE OF THE DIFFERENTIAL FAILURE. THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE CAR WAS AT THE DEALER SHIP FOR 2 WEEKS. DROVE THE CAR HOME AND HEARD THIS WHINING SOUND FROM THE CLUTCH, BROUGHT IT BACK THE SAME DAY AND EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. THE NOISE WAS AND IS THE THROUGH OUT BEARING. APPOINTMENT DATE 6/2/2015. THE CAR WAS THERE FOR 2 WEEKS. RESULT, THE TECH SAID THE NOISE WAS NORMAL. THE CLUTCH WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, AND THE COULD NO GUARANTEE, THE NOISE WOULD GO AWAY. AGAIN I EXPLAINED IT THE CLUTCH DAMAGE WAS AS A RESULT OF THE DIFFERENTIAL FAILING. DEALER SHIP STATED THAT THE CLUTCH WAS FINE NEXT APPOINTMENT 7/17/2015 - DEALER STATES THAT THE NOISE IN THE THROUGH OUT BEARING OF I TOLD EXPRESSED TO THEM. MY CONCERN ASIDE FROM THE REPAIR COST IS THE SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE WHO PLACE THEIR TRUST IN EXPERTS TO FIX AND MAINTAIN THE VEHICLES THAT BEING SOLD AND MISREPRESENTED AS SAFE.
VEHICLE STALLED (ENGINE QUITE RUNNING) THEN JERKED BACK ON. AT FIRST IT WOULD ONLY DO THIS OCCASIONALLY. NOW IT DOES IT FREQUENTLY IN ALL GEARS (SIX SPEED MANUAL).

AT THE BEGINNING OF WINTER I NOTICE THE DEFROST/HEAT IN THE JEEP WAS NOT PUTTING OUT A LOT OF HEAT. IT WOULD BARELY DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD. WITH THE FRIGID WEATHER WE HAVE HAD, I JUST HAD IT CHECKED. I WAS TOLD THE HEATER CORE, AND THE RADIATOR WOULD NEED CHANGED BECAUSE THEY WERE PLUGGED. I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE THAT OWNS A CHRYSLER PRODUCT. THIS STILL DOES NOT RUN RIGHT AFTER THE HEAD WAS CHANGED, NO DUMMY LIGHT COMES ON, SO NONE OF THE MECHANICS WILL BELIEVE ME THAT IT IS NOT RIGHT.
