1. COMPONENT FAILURE & TECHNICAL IMPAIRMENT: The vehicle is experiencing a total failure of its hybrid and internal combustion systems. On Jan 30, 2026, the vehicle received the "68C" battery software update. By Feb 6, the system failed, rendering Electric Mode Unavailable and triggering "Electric Mode unavailable" warnings. This is not a software glitch; it is a failure of the manufacturer's official remedy to conform the vehicle to warranty. Additionally, documented external oil pooling on the engine cover indicates internal pressure/seal failure directly related to the sand-contamination defect in Recall 78C. 2. HIGH SAFETY RISK: My safety is at extreme risk every time I operate this vehicle. • Recall 78C (Engine Fire/Failure): The manufacturer admits a 100% defect rate for my engine block (NHTSA 25V766). The defect involves abrasive sand circulating in the engine, which leads to "catastrophic engine failure" or fire. Stellantis has issued an advisory in multiple jurisdictions because this failure can happen without warning at highway speeds. • Recall 68C (Battery Fire): The high-voltage battery has an internal short-circuit risk. The fact that my EV system failed on Feb 6 proves the internal battery cells are unstable. Driving a vehicle with a known high-voltage fire risk and an unfixable engine defect creates an intolerable safety hazard for me and other motorists. 3. SUBSTANTIAL IMPAIRMENT OF VALUE AND USE: The vehicle’s value has been destroyed. I am paying for a high-performance hybrid that cannot use electricity and an engine that is self-destructing from the inside. Because the manufacturer has no remedy for 78C after 3+ months, the vehicle is fundamentally unrepairable. The safety directives (Park Outside/No Charging) and the physical mechanical failures constitute a total impairment of the vehicle I purchased.
I am the lessee of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door 4xe (Mileage: 7,168) affected by open recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766). The recall notice states my vehicle's engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process, which can cause catastrophic engine failure, resulting in vehicle fire or unexpected loss of propulsion without warning. The recall was issued November 6, 2025. Today is February 19, 2026—over three months later—and despite contacting FCA/Jeep and my dealer, NO REMEDY OR REPAIR PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I have been told to wait indefinitely with no estimated fix date. I am making monthly lease payments for a vehicle the manufacturer admits is unsafe to drive. I fear for my safety and my passengers' safety every time I operate this vehicle. The risk of fire or sudden power loss on a highway could be deadly. I request that NHTSA compel FCA US LLC to provide an immediate remedy or repurchase this vehicle so I can exit my lease safely. Consumers should not be forced to pay for and drive vehicles with uncorrected, life-safety defects.
My vehicle is affected by a serious safety defect involving engine fire risk. FCA US LLC Stellantis has issued a safety recall 78C/NHTSA 25V-766 for this condition and has publicly stated that the remedy for this condition is not currently available. I have been instructed to park outside and limit the use of the vehicle. This defect presents an unreasonable risk of fire and is unsafe and unreliable. A loss of drive power may result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. This defect poses a substantial impairment of use, value, and safety. This defect poses a substantial danger to life, health, and property. This defect constitutes a serious safety hazard, and FCA US LLC Stellantis has failed to provide a timely or effective repair remedy. Because no repair is currently available, the vehicle is unsafe to operate. Under Texas law, a manufacturer is not permitted unlimited time to develop a repair when a vehicle presents a dangerous condition. I have sent a demand letter on January 8, 2026 to FCA US LLC Stellantis, certified mail return receipt of my demand to buyback the vehicle at the paid purchase price, including sales tax, finance charges, down payment, registration fees, etc.
I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 4xe (JL PHEV). The vehicle is subject to safety recall 25V‑741 (manufacturer recall 68C) for high‑voltage battery fire risk, and also recall 78C affecting the 2.0L engine. For recall 68C, Jeep and NHTSA instruct owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it outside and away from structures and other vehicles because the high‑voltage battery could fail internally and start a fire, even when parked. This means I cannot safely park in my garage or charge at home. I have a [XXX] infant in the home, so any increased fire risk near the residence is especially concerning. Jeep has not yet provided a final remedy or a clear timeline for a fix for 68C, so this situation is indefinite. In practice, the vehicle now operates as a less‑efficient gas‑only vehicle, with reduced usable range, higher fuel costs, and loss of the plug‑in electric function I paid for. I am also instructed to leave a potentially defective high‑voltage battery pack on my property and outdoors, which feels unsafe for my family. In addition, recall 78C raises concerns about potential engine defects and possible fire risk or major engine damage, further impacting the safety and reliability of this vehicle. My dealer and the manufacturer have confirmed the recalls but so far have not provided a loaner, buy‑back, or other adequate remedy, despite the “park outside / do not charge” safety instructions and the presence of an infant in the home. I am requesting that NHTSA closely review these recalls, the lack of an available remedy, and the real‑world safety and hardship impact on owners who cannot safely park or charge their vehicles as originally intended. On top of this, I put about $10,000 down on the lease expecting to purchase the vehicle as a long‑term PHEV. That down payment now feels like a sunk cost into a product that cannot be safely used as advertised, and the situation is starting to resemble a potential lemon‑law case. I am filing this complaint regarding a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe that is subject to an active safety recall for a high-voltage battery defect that can lead to overheating and fire. The manufacturer has acknowledged the defect and issued instructions advising owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it outside and away from structures. At this time, the manufacturer has stated that there is no available remedy for this safety defect. Despite the known fire risk and lack of repair, I am being required to continue leasing the vehicle and make payments, and the manufacturer has refused to offer a buyback, replacement, or penalty-free lease termination because there have been no warranty repair attempts. I am concerned that I am being forced to continue using or storing a vehicle with a known and acknowledged fire risk that the manufacturer cannot currently repair. The restrictions placed on vehicle use significantly limit its safe operation and intended purpose. I am requesting that NHTSA review this situation, as the manufacturer is aware of the safety defect, has no remedy available, and is declining to provide a reasonable accommodation to address the ongoing safety risk.
Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Safety Recall IDs: 78C and 68C Issue: No available remedy for serious safety defects. Summary: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has two active safety recalls. Recall 78C involves engine casting contamination leading to fire risk and sudden loss of propulsion. Recall 68C involves a hybrid electrical defect that can cause propulsion shutdown. There are no repairs available. I am concerned about sudden loss of power while driving, especially at highway speeds or when transporting my young children. Stellantis has not responded to my requests for assistance. The vehicle does not feel safe to drive.
documenting a recall notice from Jeep stating that sand debris is inside engine compartment. The sand debris was created when Jeep cast the engine. I have contacted multiple Jeep dealerships and they have stated that they cannot provide a loaner vehicle.
My vehicle has two fire-risk recalls with no remedy. It may catch fire while parked or driving. I cannot safely store or use it, and the manufacturer cannot repair it. I need NHTSA assistance to force action
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has multiple open safety recalls with no remedy available. These recalls include fire risk when parked, battery fire risk, loss of propulsion at highway speed, and engine failure due to contamination. The manufacturer warns owners to park away from buildings and avoid charging, which means the vehicle is unsafe to drive or store. We contacted Stellantis and were told no fix exists. This is a serious safety hazard to my family and others. I have already opened a case with Stellantis (Case number #94748033) and was told there is currently no repair available.
Cannot charge now due to pending recall
Driving around a fire hazard Jeep. Jeep offer no rental even if it fails the 68c. Called Jeep dealership times and will not take in Jeep for recall. Jeep needs this recall done asap and offer a rental if need be. Rental reimbursement is a nightmare with stellantis and could be up to 2 month. If jeep wants to get a lawsuit from one day the battery catches fire then rather getting it fixed now then I know they have deep pockets
My Jeep 4xe is currently under 2 urgent fire recalls. 68C for the battery and 78C for the potential sand in the engine during production. There is currently no remedy available for either recall and the manufacturer is refusing to replace the parts or remedy the problem. Jeep is saying to take it to the dealership and the dealership is saying there is no test they can run and is pointing back at Jeep because Jeep hasn't given them a fix. I do have videos of the engine running extremely loud and clicking and instances where the cooling fan won't shut off for hours. I have not been parking in my garage and not charging the vehicle to reduce the risk as much as possible. I have had two instances where the propulsion suddenly stopped while driving, which is one of the warnings of the 78C recall. This is a safety risk for myself and my two young children who are in the car daily due to necessity, and Jeep is not offering any solutions to the problem at hand and my safety concerns.
I brought my vehicle into the dealership 11/15/2025 for the battery recall the dealership informed me Jeep has no fix for the vehicle and could be mid January 2026 this is unacceptable for this vehicle I cannot use as intended

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Recall: 78C / NHTSA 25V-766 Mileage: 6,975 miles Location: California Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under safety recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766) for catastrophic engine failure, fire risk, and unexpected/unrecoverable loss of propulsion. The recall notice states that the engine may contain sand contamination from the casting process, which can cause sudden engine failure and a potential vehicle fire without warning. The biggest concern is that no remedy exists, and the manufacturer has stated the repair is “under development.” This means I am driving (or parked with) a vehicle that may suddenly lose power or catch fire. This creates a major safety hazard for me, my passengers, and the public. My vehicle has only 6,975 miles and is well within warranty, yet neither Jeep nor the dealership can perform any repair to address this safety defect. I am requesting NHTSA intervention to ensure the manufacturer provides a remedy, loaner vehicle, or buyback for unsafe vehicles with no available repair. Thank you.
To address what system failed: The Engine shuts off while driving at highway speeds without warning. The Electrical system suddenly and completely shutdown. Loss of Propulsion while driving. To address the safety for myself and others at risk: The Vehicles sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds created an immediate risk of rear-end collision, loss of control of the vehicle or being stranded in active traffic lanes. Surrounding vehicles were forced to brake and maneuver unexpectedly, placing myself, passengers (children) and other motorists at risk of serious injury or death. No warning lights prior to failure and the vehicle will be inspected on February 2, 2026 at Westgate in Raleigh.
I have a Jeep Wrangler 4xE and have issues with various recalls with the battery and unable to charge it. The screen constantly flickers since the update.
Engine jerks upon acceleration on battery power, feels like a heavy lurch when driving a manual car. It would then refuse to accelerate for a few seconds before being able to drive normally. Attempted to get service at local Jeep dealership who refuses all service on the basis of the current recalls and the Jeep 4xe being a fire hazard while parked. Attempted to resolve this with Jeep directly who promised a buyback of the vehicle because of the 2 open safety recalls being huge safety issues, which they are now refusing.
[XXX] was renting a 2024 Jeep Wrangler E with VIN # [XXX] and was charging the vehicle with the factory Jeep adapter provided. While disconnecting, Ms. [XXX] was shocked at the connection point from the extension cord to the adapter. Ms. [XXX] was wearing shoes and the area was dry. The extension cord used had no defects. Upon investigation, the wall outlet was extremely hot to the touch and the cord was also hot. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe High Altitude and a serious safety concern related to the ongoing battery fire recall associated with this vehicle. I have leased this vehicle since new and it currently has only approximately 8,200 miles. The vehicle is in excellent, like-new condition and has been very carefully maintained. However, due to the fire safety concerns related to the hybrid battery system, I no longer feel safe driving or even parking this vehicle near my home or garage. Because of these concerns, I have intentionally limited my use of the vehicle, which is reflected in the extremely low mileage. I currently lease the vehicle through Stellantis Financial Services and have approximately 12 payments remaining. When I contacted them regarding my safety concerns, I was directed to Jeep Customer Care for assistance. Given the nature of the safety recall and the fact that the vehicle is essentially new, I am respectfully requesting that Jeep review my situation for possible customer assistance. I would greatly appreciate information on whether any of the following options may be available: • Lease termination assistance • Vehicle replacement or exchange • Manufacturer buyback or repurchase review • Any other recall-related customer relief programs
There was no specific incident with my car. This was a voluntary safety recall due to issues with the hybrid models of JEEPs. There is risk of fire. There is no remedy. This is a safety issue and I am unable to use the car with benefits of hybrid and battery technology as it was sold to me.
i purchased this certified preowned vehicle in the month of 10/2025 from manahwkin jeep. ii drove the vehicle aproximately 1000 mile since i purchased it. i contacted the dealership that the vehicle is hybrid battery not staying charged and that the motor is stalling and losing power when i drive it along with abnormal sounds from the engine . i had to pull over and recycle the ignition numerous times . when i checked the oil i noticed that there was a dirt /sandy substance on the dipstick, the service advisor told me this is normal and i believe is abnormal . i feel my issues that i am experiencing are consistent with the current recalls 68c and 78c . i feel that the dealership is giving me the runaround
Jeep shakes violently when going above 50 mph
My Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently under an active safety recall due to a high-voltage battery fire risk. Stellantis has instructed owners not to park the vehicle near structures and not to charge it until a repair is available. I live in a multi-unit residential building, and it is not possible to park away from structures, which makes it impossible to comply with the manufacturer's safety instructions. I also have a newborn, making this an immediate safety concern. There is no repair available at this time, and no timeline for a permanent remedy. Despite this, I am still required to make full lease payments and retain possession of a vehicle that cannot be safely used or stored. Stellantis has offered only a rental vehicle, which does not resolve the ongoing safety risk, housing limitations, or financial burden associated with this recall. This defect substantially impairs the safe use of the vehicle and poses a fire hazard to occupants and nearby residences. I am requesting regulatory review and assistance.
THIS RECALLED VEHICLE CANNOT BE SAFELY DRIVEN. NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE. I AM PAYING FOR A LEASE I CANNOT USE AND REQUESTING FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR A LEASE TERMINATION OR REPLACEMENT.
UNKNOWN ; I believe that my Jeep Wrangler 4XE in connection with recall : A7C/NHTSA 25V-710 created this safety hazard. Around the end of October / Beginning of November my Jeep performed a software update like it does from time to time and within a few days the vehicle shut off completely without any prior warning. I was driving to work, luckily on a side street going 20 miles an hour pulling away from a stop sign and the vehicle just straight up dies. Lights, engine, electronics, power steering, everything was unresponsive. I managed to pull off of the roadway and had to attempt multiple times to restart the vehicle. After a minute or so of being in park, it started right up and kept driving. A few days later after limited use of the vehicle, there was a software update again and I assumed it was for that and kept using the vehicle. This experience put my life in danger as well as others. Should circumstances of my travel been different and this would have occurred on a freeway, the outcome could have been tragic for myself and others on the roadway. This experience together with the other 2 severe safety recalls with no remedy, have led me to feel so uncomfortable even having the vehicle in my possession due to a recommendation from FCA, Mopar, and the NHSTA to (A. Not charge the vehicle to lower the chance of a tragic lithium ion battery fire that can occur during normal operation creating a hazard for all occupants including minor children, but also during the vehicle being parked. Leading to (B. A recommendation to not park the vehicle close to structures or other vehicles. Which in my situation is impossible at home and at work. And (C. The risk of the engine being contaminated with sand from the casting process which can lead to catastrophic engine failure, which can start a vehicle fire or cause an accident without prior warning. I will be dropping my Jeep off at a dealer until a fix is in play. No remedies available for either 3 major recalls.
The vehicle is subject to Safety Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructs owners to stop charging the vehicle and to park it outdoors, away from structures or other vehicles, due to a potential internal battery defect that may cause thermal runaway, fire, or sudden loss of propulsion. The manufacturer has stated that parts are not available and provided no timeline for repair. It is not possible to comply with the requirement to park the vehicle away from structures because the residential community where the vehicle is located prohibits street parking and does not allow parking off the driveway. As a result, there is no safe or legal way to store the vehicle that satisfies the recall instructions. This creates an ongoing fire risk to nearby structures and poses a significant safety concern for the owner, neighboring homes, and the community. The recall has effectively made the vehicle unusable, unchargeable, and unsafe to store, with no remedy currently available. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue, as the vehicle cannot be operated or parked in accordance with the recall guidance and no remedy exists at this time.
Unable to charge the PHEV due to a fire hazard, thus substantially impairing its use and value.
Component/System: The high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack (specifically, faulty battery cells within the pack). There is currently no fix for this. There is a severe safety defect with the Jeep 4xE. This recall (Fire risk) puts my safety, as well as others' safety, at a very high risk. It has caused a threat to immediate danger due to the increased risk of death, serious injury, or significant property damage, just to name a few (with death being the biggest concern). This problem has been confirmed by Jeep/Stellantis on their website, advising owners to park the vehicle outdoors and away from structures and not to charge the vehicle until a remedy is available. Dealers don’t have a fix for this. The manufacturer's guidance (not charging, parking outside) renders the vehicle effectively unusable as designed. The safety recall is linked to internal cell damage in the high-voltage battery. My vehicle uses regenerative braking to recapture kinetic energy. Given that the manufacturer advises against charging and that the fire risk is higher with a full battery, I believe the operation of the regenerative braking system, which continually attempts to increase the battery's state of charge, should be considered a contributing factor that exacerbates the underlying defect during normal driving conditions. No warnings or messages, or other symptoms have yet been noted.
The steering wheel shakes a high speeds over 70 on highways . I’ve had it in and have had the steering wheel replaced . Another time the dealer thought it was the “death wobble” then said they didn’t find anything wrong but said it was a problem with the battery making the car heavy . This problem was not occurring previously and I drive this car every day. It does not feel right or normal . I’ve had it in over 3 times and they have not been able to find or duplicate an issue . There is a death wobble issue with Jeep but I cannot get the dealership to help with the problem .
Recall 68c recommends against charging, therefore impacting our fuel consumption negatively. This therefore is costing additional money to use this transportation. Also, it is nearly impossible to follow the recall guidelines for keeping away from structures and other vehicles. Some properties refuse this vehicle from being on their property.
Hi, my name is [XXX] . I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe. My vehicle has been at the dealership since January 19 due to a defective hybrid battery, and there is still no estimated arrival date for the replacement. It has now been over 30 days without my vehicle. I need a formal case opened INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I am submitting this complaint regarding my leased Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which has been affected by two recalls: Recall 68C: My vehicle was not drivable for over 60 days while awaiting a repair under this recall. For 60+ days this recall was a fire risk, left me unable to charge my vehicle, and I was advised to park away from structures or other vehicles. This caused a significant and unreasonable loss of use, even though a fix is now available. Recall 78C: My vehicle is currently affected by Recall 78C, for which no remedy is available. Because of this recall, I have been instructed to limit vehicle operation due to safety concerns, including the risk of engine failure, unexpected vehicle crash, and fire. These restrictions prevent normal and safe use of the vehicle. The combination of these recalls has resulted in substantial impairment of the vehicle’s use and safety. Stellantis has had more than a reasonable opportunity to repair these defects. I am concerned that the vehicle poses an ongoing safety risk and that delays in remedy are unreasonable. I request that NHTSA document this complaint and investigate Stellantis’ handling of Recalls 68C and 78C, and I am submitting this in conjunction with a formal Ohio Lemon Law demand for lease repurchase.
This vehicle had multiple issues as a 1 year old vehicle. Shaking in the front end on the highway, leading to replacing front sway bar and dampeners. Now multiple fire hazard recalls for the battery and for engine while driving, charging, and just being parked. The vehicle has shut off while driving placing my life and others at risk in the road. No warning lights prior to any of these issues.
Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) has three active recalls with no available remedy. My vehicle has shut down three times while driving, exactly matching the safety defects described in Recall 25V-710, which warns of sudden loss of propulsion. Recalls 25V-741 and 25V-766 warn of potential fire and catastrophic engine failure. Jeep/Stellantis refused to provide a safe remedy or replacement without charging me. The car is unsafe to drive and unsafe to park near my home. Request NHTSA intervention. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Component/System: High-Voltage Battery (Hybrid/Electric Propulsion System) I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe that has been identified in Jeep’s recall for the high-voltage battery, which may have internal damage that could cause a short circuit and fire. Jeep instructed owners to park outdoors, away from structures or other vehicles, and avoid charging until a remedy is available. This creates a serious safety and storage problem. My homeowner association prohibits street or outdoor parking, so I have no safe or lawful place to store the vehicle. I have followed Jeep’s guidance and stopped using or charging it, leaving the vehicle unusable through no fault of my own. The recall was confirmed by Jeep’s recall department, and my VIN [XXX] ) is included. I have contacted both Jeep and Stellantis Financial Services, since the vehicle is leased, but no repair, parts, or permanent remedy have been provided. Jeep offered a rental, which is not an adequate substitute for my family’s needs. Safety Risk: There is potential fire risk if the vehicle is parked indoors or near other cars. This situation forces owners into noncompliance with community rules or unsafe parking conditions. Reproduction/Inspection: The issue is confirmed by the manufacturer recall; the vehicle has not been inspected or repaired because Jeep advised not to move or charge it. Warning Lamps: None prior to the recall. Date of Recall Notice: November 2025. I am requesting that NHTSA review this recall and Stellantis’s response for leased vehicles that cannot be safely operated or stored and for which no remedy or safe-use option exists. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ). On 10/23/2025, while traveling about 50 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and the dash displayed “Put in Park to drive.” I had to coast through traffic, stop, shift to Park, and fully restart to regain drive. Within minutes it recurred. This defect is unpredictable and dangerous. I regularly commute on the Ohio Turnpike at highway speeds and I cannot risk driving this vehicle because it can cut power without warning, leaving me unable to accelerate while surrounding traffic closes in. I am avoiding highway use entirely and limiting all driving due to the high risk of rear-end collision during a power loss. The vehicle is unsafe to operate until a permanent remedy exists. Background: the vehicle has previously exhibited powertrain/electrical issues (including overheating) and spent ~2.5 weeks at the dealer over the summer. Early incidents occurred under 18,000 miles. Recall context: Mopar and NHTSA show an open safety recall A7C / 25V-710 on my VIN for loss of motive power; status “remedy not yet available.” The vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA or the manufacturer. I can provide screenshots/video of the “Put in Park to drive” message and repair records upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My car has shut off three different times while driving, completely losing power in the middle of the road. It then turned back on by itself and suddenly accelerated on its own. The check engine light is on, and the SOS system keeps activating and won’t turn off. What’s worse is that after taking it to the dealership, they’re now trying to return the car to me even though there’s an open safety recall that hasn’t been fixed. This is a major safety concern that needs immediate attention.
THIS IS A LEASED VEHICLE THAT HAS HAD 3 RECALLS : 2 RECALLS , THAT AFTER MONTHS OF WAITING, COULD BE SCHEDULE FOR A POTENTIAL FIX (DONE ON 12/31). THERE IS 1 THAT STILL HAS NO FIX. THESE ARE HIGHLY DANGERS RISKS (FIRES, EXPLOSIONS, COMPLETE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING, ETC) THIS IS MY FAMILY VEHICLE, CHILDREN ARE IN THIS CAR. I AM CURRENTLY PAYING WELL MORE THAN THE CAR IS VALUED AT SINCE IT DEPRICIATED DO TO RISKS OF SAFTY, AND I AM RISKING MY CHILDREN'S AND MY OWN LIFE BELIEVING THAT THERE WILL BE A FIX AND I DONT EXPLODE TAKING THEM TO SCHOOL OR MYSELF TO WORK. THIS VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN ON ME TWICE IN 8 WEEKS BEFORE HAVING THE RECALLS THAT COULD BE DONE SCHEDULED. IT JUST DIES NO INTERIOR LIGHTS, NO WAY TO SHIFT IT OUT OF GEAR TO GET IT TO SAFE PLACE TO BE IN A DEAD VEHICLE. SINCE HAVING THE 2 RECALLS AND THE 12V LOOKED AT IT HAS BEEN RUNNING IN FORM MODE..NOT WHY YOU PURCHASE A HYBRID. JEEP CUSTOMER CARE IS A JOKE AND STALLANTIS (ALSO MY LEASING COMPANY) WILL ONLY RETUNS MY CALLS IF I “FORGET” TO MAKE PAYMENT BY THE 10TH OF THE MONTH…FINALLY FIGURED THAT OUT. MY GUESS IS A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY MAY BE THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT MY FAMILY, SINCE THE ONLY ONES WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THE CONCERS AND SAFTY OF MYSELF AND MY CHHILDRENS ARE THE DEALERSHIP. THIS WAS MY FAMILIES 5TH JEEP AND COULD POSSIBLLY BE OUR LAST
First recall back in October the car would shut off while driving at any speed and the wheel would stop working. Now a new recalll the car would catch on fire parked / or driven because if the battery. I don’t wanna drive it I want a refund
Was driving about 35 miles per hour on a two lane canyon road when the vehicle suddenly just shut down and completely lost all electrical and power steering. I was trying desperately to steer the vehicle to the side of the road as I quickly approached a father and his two daughters riding bikes and just missed them as I was screaming out the window for them to hurry forward. Was incredibly distressing and have never been so scared. The vehicle did get to the side of the road to a stop.
Manufacturer has not remedied two safety recalls in a timely manner, and instead provided me written guidance via email stating it is safe to drive the vehicle, despite two open safety recalls which both state the issues can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Vehicle has had Manufacturer Recall Number A7C (NHTSA Recall Number 25V-710) since Oct 17,2025, and Manufacturer Recall Number 78C (NHTSA Recall Number 25V-766) since Nov 06,2025.
The vehicle experienced repeated loss-of-power and stalling events while driving, including after a software update, which required the vehicle to be towed to a dealership. Similar drivability issues occurred earlier after purchase. The vehicle currently has multiple open safety recalls. Despite repeated attempts to work with the manufacturer and assurances of follow-up by assigned specialists, no direct contact or resolution was provided. My wife will no longer drive the vehicle because it has stalled due to software loads, and we can’t park it in our garage in fear of fire and there are other recalls as well. We bought it because it was electric and Jeep advised you should not plug it in to charge the battery.
There are 3 recalls on the 2024 Jeep Wranglers 4XE. They include a fire risk. We are not supposed to charge our vehicles and not park them near structures. This defeats the entire purpose of getting a electric vehicle. This car can not function for the reason it is purchased. Not being able to park in a garage as well? This is crazy! According to your website and Jeep, it has been 2 months since the first recall and there is no remedy available. I'm not sure what we are exepted to deem a "reasonable" amount of time for a remedy, but two months of nothing is plenty long in my book. Plus, when there is a remedy it will take time to book appointments then taking time off work to get this fixed. There are been many recalls concerning the jeep batteries on past models. Shouldn't this have been taken care of before the sold more? Another issue is resale value. How will I be able to get full value of my car's worth with recalls and worries of future ones?
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized. The contact stated that the instrument cluster flickered off and on. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V766000 (Engine). Due to a recent over the air update which impacted the hybrid system, the car would lose all power and require to stop the car completely and restart the vehicle. This is a known issue that has been acknowledged by Jeep/FCA. After it occurred the first time, a check engine light came on and stayed in. The stalling event occurred approximately 5 times in a short trip with several of our small children in the vehicle. Luckily, we were driving on local roads with the ability to pull over without putting ourselves in danger, but cannot fathom how Jeep would put thousands of drivers at risk, especially if they were driving at high speeds or maneuvering.
My vehicle shut off as I was accelerating.
On October 16, 2025 an unaccepted other-the-area software update from Stellantis could a serious vehicle malfunction where my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe stopped driving and I could not get it to drive without turning it off and on again. Then, it drove with almost no power until it stopped again. I cvcled my vehicle on and off several times to get it to safety.
I was driving as normal in a 40mph zone when my car stalled, steering locked up, and it flashed to put it in park in the middle of traffic. I was able to move over to a safe space after putting it in park but it kept shutting off as I inched my way off the road with hazards on. There was an update that went out that was causing this to vehicles and i was declining the update as suggested by manufactuerer by pressing the red X but it somehow forced installed itself while I was driving. Then while i was pulled over it would run for a few seconds then it would all of a sudden shut off again saying E-Drive Mode Temporairly Unavailable. Ive attached some photos but have a video of it running and shutting off if you would like me to send that.
We are aware of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe software update which basically disables the wrangler and have been diligent about selecting the red X to not accept the update. This morning on my son’s way to work the update went through anyway resulting in a loss of power forcing him to stop the vehicle. Thankfully he was able to limp the Jeep to our local service station where the firmware over the air update “fix” was able to be applied and the vehicle is functioning again. This is a major concern for several reasons, he was a minute away from one of the busiest interstates in New York, where this could have been a very serious incident, second the vehicle updated regardless of user input to defer or not install. Had we not have been prepared for this because of social media, not Jeep, this would have had serious implications.
