REQUEST TO GET DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEACTIVATED.*MR *JB
ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS SINCE FEBRUARY, AN IGNITION COIL HAS FAILED IN MY LS(# 2,3,AND 6). EACH TIME THE REPAIR HAS COST ALMOST $300, AND IN ADDITION SINCE THE DEALER THOUGHT A SMALL LEAK IN THE VALVE COVER GASKET MAY HAVE CAUSED THE PROBLEM WITH #3, THAT WAS REPLACED FOR AN ADDITIONAL $225. IN THE 45 YEARS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING, I HAVE NEVER HAD A COIL GO BAD. THERE IS CLEARLY A DEFECT IN THE ORIGINAL COILS OR ENGINE DESIGN. THE DEALER HAS INDICATED THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED MANY OF THESE ON LS'S. *AK
DRIVERS DOOR DOES NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. HAD IT REAIRED (WE THOUGHT) BUT QUIT WORKING AGAIN WITHIN 4 WEEKS. WILL COST $ 700 TO FIX. *AK
THE INSIDE FRONT DRIVER'S PLASTIC DOOR KNOB HANDLE BROKE TRAPPING THE CONSUMER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, AND THEY INDICATED IT WAS CONSUMER'S PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP WILL FIX AT CONSUMER'S EXPENSE. *AK THE CONSUMER HAD TO CRAWL OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE TO EXIT THE VEHCILE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE. *NM
DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE REAR WINDOW MECHANISM FOUR TIMES. THE FIRST TWO TIMES IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THE LAST TWO MECHANISM THE CONSUMER HAD TO PAID OVER $525.00 PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *JB
ALL FOUR WINDOWS ON MY 2000 LINCOLN LS HAVE FAILED AND CRASHED INTO THE DOOR WELL. THE REAR WINDOWS HAVE FAILED TWICE. LINCOLN SAID THAT THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THIS PROBLEM AND REFUSES TO COMP FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. *AK
UPON DEECLERATION VEHICLE ENGINE RACES ON INTERMITTETENT BASIS- ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENT AND CAR HAD TO BE SHUT OFF AFTER STOPPING TO PREVENT ACCIDENT- DEALER, MARKEL FORD OF OMAHA NEBRASKA UNABLE TO SOLVE PROBLEM- ACCEPTING CAR BACK WITH NO ASSURANCES OF SAFE CONDITION BY DEALER.*AK
ENGINE STALL/SHUTDOWN AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND DURING APPLICATION OF BRAKES TO OBSERVE A STOP SIGN/LIGHT. *JB
PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY.*MR THE CONSUMER REQUESTED THAT THE AIR BAG BE REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. *NM THE AIR BAG HAS BEEN REPAIRED.
THE LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE COMING APART DUE TO LOOSENED NUTS. THE STEERING WAS BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT AS WELL. *AK THE VEHICLE'S HISTORY SHOWED TIRE WEAR AND ADJUSTMENTS PRIOR TO OWNERSHIP AND ADJUSTMENTS. *SC *JB
AFTER BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE FORWARD AND A LOUD BANG WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND THE CONSUMER EXAMINED THE PROBLEM AT HAND. THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE LEFT LOWER BALL JOINT COMPLETELY SNAPPED OFF. *NM THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE SERVICE DEALER BECAUSE THE ENGINE'S VALVE COVER FAILED AND THE TIMING CHAIN BROKE. *NM
LINCOLN LS RUBBER FLOOR MATS. *MR THE LIP WHERE THE MAT BENDS UP TO BE PLACED AGAINST THE FLOORBOARD BEHIND THE PETALS. WHEN SHIFTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONSUMER FOUND THAT THE HEEL OF THEIR SHOE WOULD GET CAUGHT, MOST OF THE TIME ON THE MAT. *SC
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED, THE ENGINE MISFIRED AND STALLED WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHED A TEMPERATURE. THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO A FAULTY COIL PACK. THE DEALER HAD REPLACED THE COIL PACK ON SIX DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. CONSUMER WILL SEND ORIGINAL BILL FOR REPAIRS. *LA 10/17/02 THREE COIL PACKS WERE REPLACED (#'S 2-6-7) DUE TO THE ENGINE MISSING, 3/19/03 THE COIL PACK #3 DUE TO MISSING, 10/09/03 THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH THE FLUID FILTER, AND ON 4/8/04 TWO COIL PACKS #'S 1 AND 4 WERE REPLACED DUE TO ENGINE MISSING. *SC *JB
MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE'S IGNITION COILS. *MR ON APRIL 18, 2004 THE SERVICE DEALER REPLACED ONE COIL. THEN ON JUNE 15, 2004 TWO MORE COILS WERE REPLACED. WITHIN TWO WEEKS, ANOTHER COIL OR MORE WENT BAD. THERE WAS RANDOM MISFIRES WHICH REMAINED THE SAME EVEN AFTER REPAIR, THEN IT WORKED FINE BUT WAS FOLLOWED BY THE VEHICLE RUNNING ROUGH. *SC *JB
PROBLEMS WITH IGNITION COILS ON LINCOLN 2000 LS. *MR THERE WERE A NUMBER OF IGNITION COILS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON THESE VEHICLE. (4/8/04 ONE COIL HAD TO BE REPLACED, ON 6/15/04 TWO MORE HAD TO BE REPLACED, AND WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THAT, TWO MORE HAD GONE BAD) *SC *JB
WHILE DRIVING MY 2000 LINCOLN LS THE TRANSMISSION TENDS TO SHIFT ON IT'S OWN FROM HIGH TO TO LOW GEAR AND BACK TO HIGH GEAR THUS CAUSING A STALL. THIS SITUATION CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME, IE: WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH IT WELL SHIFT BACK AND FORTH AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO HESITATE AND THEN STALL. WHEN THERE IS A TRACTOR TRAIL RIG BEHIND YOU AT 65 OR 70 MPH YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN. BEING A TRAINED VEHICLE OPERATOR TO DRIVE UNDER VERY ADVERS CONDICTIONS I CAN HANDLE THE SITUATION, ON MOST TIMES, BUT THERE ARE SITUATIONS THAT EVEN THE BEST DRIVERS CAN NOT HANDLE. THE DEALERSHIP KEEPS TELLING ME THAT IT IS AN AIR FLOW PROBLEM TO WITH THE SENSOR BUT I SAY IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND THE DEALER SHOULD REPORT IT TO THIER HEADQUARTERS AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM FOR FREE.*AK
ON THREE OCCASIONS, MY 2000 LINCOLN LS (V6) HAD A SUDDEN ACCELERATION. THE FIRST TWO INCIDENTS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE LAST INCIDENT WAS ON 03-29-04 IN THE CITY LIMIT. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET DOING ABOUT 30 MPH WHEN THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED RED AND THE CARS IN FRONT OF ME CAME TO A STOP. WHEN I BEGAN TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR, I FELT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL GO DOWNWARD. THE CAR BEGAN TO INCREASE SPEED WITHOUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. I PLACED MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I TRIED PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN AS MUCH AS I COULD BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I SHIFT THE GEAR INTO PARK AND THEN THE CAR STOPPED. *AK
SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING - GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY. HEADLIGHT COVERS COLLECT MOISTURE. AIRBACK LIGHT ON - WAS QUOTED APPROXIMATELY $500 TO FIX. DRIVER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE - $85 TO DETERMINE THAT THE LATCH IS WORN OFF & AGAIN AN ESTIMATE FOR $850 TO FIX THE HANDLE. THREE OUT OF THE FOUR POWER WINDOWS DROPPED DOWN & HAD TO BE FIXED IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. BOTH THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER SEATBACKS HAVE FALLEN OFF. DRIVER SEAT MAKES NOISE WHEN GOING/SLIDING BACK. ON TWO SEPERATE OCCASIONS I WAS UNABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKE WHEN COMING TO A STOP - CAR KEPT ON ROLLING & I COULD NOT PRESS THE BRAKE. LOUD NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING BETWEEN 45-55MPH WHICH I WAS TOLD IS "NORMAL".*AK
THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION . *AK UNDER FAST ACCELERATION, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SOMETIMES SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL FOR 2-3 SECONDS, TO REGAIN DRIVE THE CONSUMER HAD TO RELEASE THE ACCELERATOR AND WAIT FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO RE-ENGAGE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY. THIS DID NOT TOTALLY CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *SC *JB
OIL LEAK FROM VALVE LIFTER COVER GASKET. LEAK DETECTED JAN 2004. GASKET BACKORDERED (ACCORDING TO HOOD RIVER FORD DEALER) TO OVER 8000 VEHICLES. MY VEHICLE RELEASED FROM DEALER WITHOUT REPAIR. FEBRUARY RETURNED WITH ROUGH RUNNING AND ENGINE LIGHT. OIL HAD LEAKED ONTO SOLINOID SHORTING OUT SEVERAL WITH ASSOCAITED BOOTS. THESE PARTS WERE ALSO BACKORDER TO THE SAME NUMBER AS GASKETS. VEHICLE SAT AT DEALER FOR OVER A MONTH WITHOUT LOANER OR PARTS.*AK
THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP DURING VEHICLE INSPECTION, THAT FRONT BALL JOINTS WERE LOOSE. THE BALL JOINT WAS BEING REPAIRED. *AK
SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE PAST 6 MONTHS WHILE COMING TO A STOP AND LIGHTLY APPLYING THE BRAKES THE ENGINE STARTS TO RACE TO THE POINT IT CAN'T BE HELD BACK WITH THE BRAKES. QUICKLY PUTTING THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL CORRECTS THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY AND THE ENGINE RETURNS TO IDLE SPEED. MOST RECENTLY I HAD THIS PROBLEM 3 TIME IN ONE EVENING. THE LAST TIME I WAS SLOWLY TURNING ONTO MY DRIVEWAY AND THE CAR TOOK OFF. BEFORE I COULD REACT I WAS ON THE FRONT LAWN AND NARROWLY MISSED MY SON WHO HAPPENED TO BE ON THE DRIVEWAY. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED.*AK
IN JANUARY 2004 THE VALVE COVER GASKET STARTED LEAKING ON MY 2000 LINCOLN LS [XXX]. PART BACK ORDERED UNTIL MARCH 2004. WAS INFORMED BY DEALERSHIP THAT OVER 8,000 WERE BACK ORDERED IN JANUARY. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME I COULD DRIVE VEHICLE UNTIL PART ARRIVED. OIL LEAK CAUSED THE COIL BOOTS TO SOAK SHORTING COILS (SEVEN OUT OF EIGHT COILS). COIL BOOT BACK ORDERED (NO KNOWN ESTIMATE OF TIME FOR GETTING PART) [XXX]. AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE MULTIPLE CALLS I HAVE MADE TO THE LOCAL DEALER AND TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR OVER A MONTH. NO LOANER WAS OFFERED. REPAIR COSTS ARE ESCALATING. WAITED TWO MONTHS FOR GASKET. HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG BOOT ITEM WILL BE BEFORE ARRIVAL. SEEMS THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE. VEHICLE SHUTS OFF MAKING A RIGHT TURN. WITHOUT WARNING AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SHUT OFF PROBLEM. *BF WHEN THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE HE WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THERE WERE TWO OTHER VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND A CAUSE. *JB
2000 LINCOLN LS . THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL LINCOLN DEALER JACK KAIN FORD LINCOLN MERCURY IN LONDON KENTUCKY. THE VALVE BODY WAS BAD AND I HAD TO WAIT FOR TWO WEEKS WHILE THE VALVE BODY WAS ORDERED. THE WAIT WAS BECAUSE THE VALVE BODY HAD TO BE REENGINEERED DUE TO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR AND THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER. *LA
WHILE EXITING THE FREEWAY AT 5 MPH VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. *AK
I PURCHASED THE 2000 LINCOLN LS IN NOVEMBER 2002. I HAVE HAD BREAK TROUBLE AT THE COST OF $1000. IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS, I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE CAR HAS HAD CATOSTROPHIC DAMAGE AND WOULD BE BETTER OFF BUYING A NEW ENGINE. I'M HIGHLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS OCCURRENCE AND REQUEST AN IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION TO MY CONCERNS.*AK
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IT HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE STALLING WHILE IN MOTION. ON ONE OCCASION, THE PROBLEM ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT FROM THE REAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN BUT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BUT THE DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO CHECK FOR RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE DUE TO A COMPUTER MALFUNCTION.
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK THE SEAT BELT LIGHT WAS ON AND WAS ON AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. *SC
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE. IN ORDER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER MUST ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN THE VEHICLE FROM THE OUTSIDE.*AK
LOWER BALL JOINT STUD ON RIGHT SIDE OF MY 2000 LINCOLN LS BROKE OFF WHILE DRIVING @ 45 MPH. I WAS ABLE TO AVOID PROPERTY DAMAGE & WRECKING VEHICLE,THE AMOUNT OF REPAIRS MY CAR WILL REQUIRE IS STILL NOT KNOWN AT TIME. *JB
DT: THE CONTACT STATES THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN 00V359001 CONCERNING THE LOWER BALL JOINT. THIS VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL, BUT IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
REGARDING 2000 LINCOLN LS 6 CYL. WITHIN A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR I HAD 3 WINDOWS IN THE VEHICLE FAIL, BOTH AT THE BACK AND THE OTHER AT THE PASSENGER WINDOW, WHICH WAS THE LATEST ON 10/27/03. IN ALL THREE, THE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY AND THE CABLE HAVE FAILED. FORD HAS TOLD ME THAT THERE HAVE NOT BEEN ANY RECALLS ISSUED REGARDING THIS OCCURRENCE. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD.THIS PROBLEM RECURRED, AND DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHEN TURNING ON SIGNAL LIGHT AND HAZARD FLASHING WARNING LIGHT VEHICLE WOULD SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. DEALER WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
MY 2000 LINCOLN LS WAS STRUCK BROADSIDE BY A 1997 MAZDA PROTEGE. THE COLLISION RESULTED IN BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR, AS WELL AS THE CENTER PILLAR, BEING CAVED IN BY THE OTHER VEHICLE. HOWEVER, DESPITE A COLLISION THAT RESULTED IN OVER $4,200 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THIS VEHICLE, THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. WHAT IS THE USE IN HAVING SUCH SAFETY EQUIPMENT IF ONE CANNOT RELY UPON IT WHEN AN ACCIDENT OCCURS? *LA

A CLANGING TYPE NOISE WAS HEARD IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION WHEN THE FRONT WHEELS WERE TURNED/ BRAKING/ACCELERATING OR DRIVING OVER THE SLIGHTEST IMPERFECTION IN THE ROAD. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THE UPPER/LOWER BALL JOINTS WERE DEFECTIVE, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. LOWER BALL JOINT RECALL 00V3590001 WAS ISSUED. HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO VIN. *AK
THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE WILL NOT ALLOW THE CONSUMER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE PROBLEM ONCE, BUT SIX WEEKS LATER THE PROBLEM RECURRED. ALSO THE REAR RIGHT ELECTRIC WINDOW FELL INSIDE OF THE DOOR AND WILL NOT ROLL UP. THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS. *PH
WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH DRIVER'S REAR SEAT AIR BAG DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY FOR NO KNOWN REASON. NO DAMAGE WAS REPORTED. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER. *AK
FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. EXITING THE VEHICLE REQUIRED THE OWNER TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW, REACH OUTSIDE AND LIFT THE HANDLE. *AK *NLM
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, THE HEADLIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT OUT FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.*AK. THE SEAL WAS BROKEN ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHICH CAUSED CONDENSATION. *PH *JB
THIS PAST APRIL I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR IN TO GET THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR FIXED. IT IS NOW JULY AND MY REAR PASSENGER WINDOW REGULATOR NOW NEEDS REPLACED. MY OTHER TWO WINDOWS WILL ALSO NEED TO BE FIXED IF I WERE TO ROLL THEM DOWN. FOR ALL MY REGULATORS TO GO OUT AT BASICALLY THE SAME TIME, TO ME MEANS THAT THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THESE PARTS. *PH
2001 LINCOLN LS WITH 60K MILES. UNUSUAL SMELLS INSIDE CAR. FOUND WARPED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND DAMAGED ATTACHEMENT BOLTS. DEALER SERVICE SAYS THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SEEN ON A NUMBER OF LINCOLN LS VEHICLES. REPORTED TO FORD MOTOR CORP.*AK
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN, WHEN I WENT TO TRY AND PUT IT UP, IT SOUNDED AS IF THE WINDOW WAS BEING SMASHED. *JB
WHILE DRIVING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK *CB
POWER WINDOW INOPERTIVE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BROKEN PLASTIC PART CAUSE. *AK HEATED DRIVERS SEAT HAS NEVER WORKED FROM DAY ONE
NHTSA RECALL 00-V-35-000: CONSUMER'S TWO YEARS OLD SON, ENGAGED THE VEHICLE FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND DAMAGED A FENCE AND THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL. DEALER NOTIFIED. CONSUMER HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS MENTIONED IN RECALL; HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
THE DRIVERS DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE AND CAN ONLY BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. WE HAVE BEEN QUOTED OVER $650 TO REPAIR THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE DOOR HANDLE IS OPERATED ELECTRONICALLY.*AK
ENGINE HAS DEVELOPED AN INCONSISTANT MISFIRE AT IDLE, DURING ACCELERATION, AND WHEN IT LOBS ALONG IN OVERDRIVE. RECENTLY THE THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE PASSING A SLOW MOVING VEHICLE ON A 2 LANE ROAD. I COASTED TO THE SHOULDER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, HOWEVER IT STILL CONTINUED TO MIS-FIRE AT RANDOM. SOMETIMES DURING A TURN AT INTERSECTIONS IT STALLS AND THEN REGAINS POWER AND LUNGES FORWARD (ALMOST LIKE A TRANSMISSION SLIP). DEALER CAN NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM(S), THUS THEY CAN NOT FIX IT. THE LAST TIME I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE ONE OF THE SALES STAFF INFORMED ME THAT LINCOLN HAS BEEN AWARE OF PROBLEMS WITH THE LS-V8 FOR A WHILE. THAT'S GREAT, PUT SOME MORE POOR PERFORMING, UNSAFE CARS OUT THERE TO SELL TO UNSUSPECTING CONSUMERS! I'M FORWARDING A COPY OF THIS COMPLAINT TO MY ATTORNEY SHOULD THIS PROBLEM NOT GET FIXED PROPTLY OR SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ME OR MY FAMILY AS A RESULT OF THIS PROBLEM, LINCOLN CAN BE PREPARED TO HEAR FROM THEM.*AK
