THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 84,000.

I HAVE TALKED TO OTHER LINCOLN LS OWNERS AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. LINCOLN SATED THAT I SOULD JUST BUY NEW ONES AT 295.99 A HEADLIGHT PLUS INSTALL.*AK
THE HEADLIGHT COVERS ON THE VEHICLE COLLECT MOISTURE AND FOG OVER TO THE EXTENT THAT VISIBILITY IS IMPAIRED. THE MOISTURE DOES NOT GO AWAY, CLEAR UP, OR DISPERSE. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN REPORTED IN A TECH. SERVICE BULLETIN FROM LINCOLN IN JANUARY, 2002. THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE AUTO ARE INEFFECTIVE WITH THE MOISTURE BUILD-UP. IT IS AN UNSAFE CONDITION. TS

HEADLAMP FILLS UP WITH MOISTURE, DECREASING OUTPUT OF BEAM. FORD MOTOR COMPANY REFUSES TO REPLACE DESPITE A SERVICE BULLETIN WHICH ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM AND THAT ENGINEERS WERE INVESTIGATING FOR A FIX. DEALER ADVISED THAT PART WOULD BE AVAILABLE APPROXIMATELY DEC 2002.
