TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA, MAZDA6. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED REPEATEDLY BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESUME WITH CAUTION AT A LOW SPEED. A SIMILAR FAILURE OCCURRED AT A DIFFERENT TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,000.
