This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

Mazda is also recalling 2005-2006 MPV vehicles in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator with an alternate inflator, free of charge. The recall began July 6, 2018. Hello i am a 2nd owner of a Mazda 2007 6. And the man i brought car from said it always did it to him as well.i would explain it as in stopping or speeding up the dashboard lights flicker or goes off, the engine gets real loud and car jerks and shakes and loses power check engine light comes on and AT.and Cars dyes in reverse a few times on me. Auto lots said that it is common and known for electrical problems and engine issues and pieces called camshafts position actuator and transmission range sensor and gears. And the man owned before me has replaced them multiple times. Its dangerous to be driving specially on interstate and car stalls or lose so much power that i only get about 20 miles an hour
WHILE THE CAR IS STATIONARY,AND WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION INTERIOR LIGHTS COME ON AND GO OFF WHENEVER IT DECIDES TO, WHEATHER IT'S DAY OR NIGHT.
I'M STUCK IN MY VEHICLE BECAUSE NO AMOUNT OF PRESSURE WILL RELEASE THE SWITCH LEVER. LUCKILY THIS WASN'T A TRAFFIC STOP BECAUSE THIS WOULD HAVE MADE THINGS COMPLICATED IF NOT DEADLY, NOT EVEN CONSIDERING THE HIGH POSSIBILITY THAT I WOULD NEED TO EXIT THE CAR IMMEDIATELY SHOULD I BE IN A ACCIDENT.
SUBFRAME RUSTED IN THE FRONT RIGHT, BEHIND THE ENGINE CLOSE TO THE CONTROL ARM. JUST THIS PART OF THE SUBFRAME.
MAZDA 2007 MAZDA 6 WITH SEVERE CORROSION TO ENGINE SUBFRAME POSING A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN IF BREAKS WHILE DRIVING. CURRENT MAZDA 6 IN QUESTION HAD LESS THAN 100K MILES AND WAS SPOTTED BY AN OIL CHANGE TECHNICIAN. I'VE ASKED A COUPLE MECHANICS AND WAS INFORMED THE CAR WOULD BE A POSSIBLE DEATH TRAP TO MYSELF OR OTHERS IF NOT FIXED QUICKLY. ALL PARTIES ARE AMAZED AT AMOUNT OF CORROSION, INTERNET SEARCHES SUGGEST THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND ALREADY A RECALL IN PLACE FOR OTHER YEAR MAZDA 6'S.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ON THE VEHICLE ARE KNOWN TO GO OUT BECAUSE OF A 'HARNESS ISSUE' AFTER RESEARCH NUMEROUS OTHER MAZDA OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSSUE. THIS IS WHOLE STATIONARY, IN MOTION , CITY, HIGHWAY, DOESN'T MATTER. A QUICK REMEDY IS HITTING THE LIGHT AND IT'LL TURN BACK ON. I RECEIVED A TICKET ON A MILITARY BASE BECAUSE OF THIS. IM
I HAVE AN AUTOMATIC 07 MAZDA 6 S GRAND TOURING THAT IS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION JERKING. THE CAR ONLY HAS 100K MILES ON IT. THE JERK NORMALLY HAPPENS BETWEEN GEARS 4-6.
TAKATA RECALL. FOR THE PAST YEAR THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON. IT SEEMS TO OCCUR AT WARMER TEMPERATURES AND GOES AWAY AND COLDER TEMPERATURES. THE CODE THAT COMES BACK IS B2234 AND THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG. I BELIEVE THIS HAS OCCURRED BECAUSE OF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT THAT WAS DONE ON MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE TAKATA RECALL.

THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES (COCHRAN MAZDA OF NORTH HILLS, 10885 PERRY HWY, WEXFORD, PA 15090 (724) 940-1000), BUT DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. ENGINE CRADLE SUBFRAME RUSTING/RUSTED OUT PREMATURELY. HOLDS ENGINE IN PLACE. STATIONARY.
AFTER FILLING UP GAS, THE ENTIRE CAR SMELLED LIKE GAS. WE PARKED THE AND GOT OUT TO CHECK. THERE WAS A CAR FAST AND PROMINENT LEAK NEAR THE GASKET OF THE FUEL TANK. THERE ARE RECALLS ABOUT IT ONLINE BUT NOT FOR MY SPECIFIC CAR EVEN THOUGH IT IS HAZARDOUS TO DRIVE.

TAKATA RECALL. TOOK MY MAZDA TO A CERTIFIED MAZDA DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE THE DEFECTED AIR BAGS BUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT STILL STAYS ON MAKING ME CONCERNED THAT THE PROBLEM WITH MY AIRBAGS HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. I HAVE A 4 MONTH OLD THAT RIDES IN THIS VEHICLE AND I AM CONCERNED FOR HER SAFETY.
TAKATA RECALL - MY COMPLAINT IS WITH THE LOCAL MAZDA DEALER. I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN I ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT I WAS TOLD THAT THE WORK COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE THE PARTS NECESSARY WERE NOT ORDERED. IN MY OPINION THE DEALERSHIP HANDLED THIS APPOINTMENT AND THE FOLLOW UP POORLY. THE REPAIR HAS NOT YET BEEN ACCOMPLISHED DUE TO MY BUSY SCHEDULE AND THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION ON BEHALF OF THE DEALERSHIP. I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS CONSIDERED A "REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME" BUT IN MY OPINION THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF WEEKS AGO. AS OF TODAY I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 22ND.
