My right rear tire wares from the inside to the middle only the rest of the tire is good. I’ve had two blowouts because I can’t see that part of my tire without getting down on the ground to look at it. The part I see looks good. My tire seems to be kicked out a bit at the bottom. This is the only tire I have problems with.
The bonding agent on my roof ( between the glass panel and frame of car) is breaking down- The other week, when I had the sun roof open in direct sun ( my car is usually parked in covered parking) the bonding was sticky to the touch, and got all over my hand when I inspected the rail. I took it to Mercedes, because I thought that it was under recall # 202004011 for this very issue, but they said it was not a covered model. They wanted to charge $300 for an inspection and diagnosis. MBUSA customer service also not interested in investigating whether this issue is affecting my model car. In the recalled models, there is a danger of the glass roof separating from the vehicle.
I TOOK MY CAR TO MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIP TO FIX A RECALL ON MY SUNROOF NHTSA RECALL # 19V918 THEY CLAIMED THEY CHECKED MY SEAL FOR DEFECTIVE BUT WHEN I RECEIVED MY CAR THE SUNROOF WOULD NOT OPEN . I ASKED THEM WHAT DID THEY DO IT NOT WORKING AT ALL . THEY WERE VERY VAGUE ON THE DETAILS TO CHECKING MY RECALL. STATED THEY DIDN'T NEED TO OPEN MY SUNROOF TO CHECK. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE ALSO I QUESTION WHY IS IT BROKEN NOW IT WAS NOT PRIOR TO BRINGING IT IN . THEY WERE ELUSIVE AND NON COMPLIANT AND STATED IT WAS BROKEN. THEY WOULD NAKED RESPONSIBILITY NOR EXPLAIN HOW THEY INSEPECTED A SEAL IF THE SUNROOF WOULD NOT OPEN .
MY CAR HAVE A RECALL FOR THE SUNROOF SINCE IT MAY DETACH AND FLIGHT OUT, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE AT EURO MOTOR CAR IN GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND. A LADY FROM THE DEALER JUST CALL ME BACK TO INFORM ME THAT THEY ARE CANCELING THE APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DO RECALLS...

SRS ABS ESP lights occasionally go on and off mostly the SRS take to shop does not come on or stay on obd2 does not detect may use clear error messages stays off for few weeks then back on and off bought scanner when SRS comes on sometimes it shows error B1035 stored and current the resistance value in the ignition circuit containing component R1 2/20 (left front side airbag ignition squib) is too high sometimes nothing hear this same complaint from many owners. drivers side seat motor only works off and on had replaced sometimes works sometimes does not lots of sensor issues shows a door ajar when it is not have to replace senors
SUNROOF DEFECTIVE AND MERCEDES IS NOT HONORING THIS RECALL. C CLASS WAS ANNOUNCED AS PART OF RECALL, HOWEVER THEY WOULD NOT HONOR 2004 C230 DEFECTIVE SUNROOF. PLEASE HELP. I AM SURE THAT MERCEDES IS DOING THEIR BEST NOT TO REPAIR AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

I HAVE A MERCEDES BENZ C230 THE LIGHT IS ON BUT THE SRS IS ON GIVE MESSAGE THAT SAID DRIVE TO A WORK SHOP
MY DAUGHTER IS 18. THIS WAS MY MERCEDES THAT I HANDED DOWN TO HER THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE SAFE. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLES ARE NOT LOCKING THE SEAT BELTS PROPERLY. THIS IS PART OF A RECALL DONE BY MERCEDES. HOWEVER, WHEN I CALLED THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM IF MY CAR WAS RECALLED, THEY SAID THAT MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T ONE OF THE CARS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND IF MY CAR IS DOING SAME THING THAT THE RECALL SAYS. THERE WILL BE A HECK OF A LAWSUIT IF MY DAUGHTER WAS TO GET IN A WRECK AND HER SEAT BELT MALFUNCTIONED. THIS IS WHAT THE RECALL SAYS AND MY DAUGHTER'S VEHICLE IS DOING THE SAME THING. ......SOME SEAT BELT BUCKLES MAY HAVE A BURR ON A METAL COMPONENT OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM. THIS COULD PREVENT THE SEAT BELT FROM LOCKING UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED SEAT BELTS. THIS RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON DECEMBER 22, 2003. THE MERCEDES-BENZ RECALL NUMBER IS 2003 120006. YOU WOULD THINK MERCEDES WOULD TAKE CAUTION AND FIX THIS IF THE OWNER IS TELLING THEM THE SEAT BELT IS DOING THE SAME THING ON THE CAR THAT THE RECALL SAYS. I WOULD LIKE FOR MERCEDES TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBLE AND FIX MY VEHICLE AT NO CHARGE. IF NOT AND SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY DAUGHTER, I WILL FILE A LAWSUIT. PERIOD. THANKS
FUEL SYSTEM IS LEAKING GETTING CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAN'T PASS SMOG AND EGR HOSES THAT RUN DOWN BY THE SUPER CHARGER ARE LEAKING CAUSE THE RUBBER THEY USED KNOWING THIS WOULD HAPPEN ALL HAVE TO DO WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON
STRONG GAS SMELL
I WAS DRIVING ON THE I-95 AT 60 MPH AND TURNED ON MY AIR CONDITIONER WHEN SMOKE BEGAN TO COME OUT OF THE VENTS. I SHUT OFF THE AIR CONDITIONER AND THE SMOKE STOPPED. I VISITED WITH MY PARENTS AND AS I STARTED THE CAR AND IT WAS IDLING, I TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONER AND SMOKE BEGAN TO COME FROM THE VENTS AGAIN AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE DASHBOARD. I WAS ABLE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE AND PULLED THE FUSE BOX COVER OFF AND FOUND THE FUSE BOX WAS WHERE THE FIRE HAD STARTED. THERE WAS A PAPER WITH FUSE SIZES AND LOCATIONS PUT (BY MERCEDES) IN BETWEEN THE FUSES WHICH HAD BEEN SINGED, AND PART OF THE FUSE BOX AND SOME OF THE FUSES HAD MELTED. I DID AN INTERNET SEARCH AND FOUND A COMPLAINT ON A MERCEDES FORUM WHERE THIS HAD HAPPENED TO ANOTHER 2004 MERCEDES C230.
I HAVE MY CAR IN THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC TELLS ME I NEED A PVC HOSE AND A OXYGEN SENSOR AND BOTH THOSE ITEMS ARE ON A RECALL LIST. HE ASKED ME TO CALL THE DEALER I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THOSE ARE RECALL ITEMS BUT NOT FOR MY CAR. MY COMPLAINT IS WHY IF THIS IS A RECALL ITEM IT SHOULD BE FOR ALL CARS. THOSE ARE THE ONLY 2 THINGS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I NEED HELP.
PASSENGER SEAT CAUGHT FIRE WHEN USING THE SEAT HEATER. FIRE PROTRUDED THROUGH THE SIDE SEAT PANEL AND BURNED DRIVER AND CLOTHING. THE DRIVER WAS OPERATING THE CAR FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES ON A CITY STREET AND PULLED OFF THE ROAD TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. PORTIONS OF THE SEAT MELTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES-BENZ C320. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED INDEPENDENTLY AS THE CONTACT STRUCK A POTHOLE IN THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IMPACT ACTIVATED THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
VEHICLE HAS 136,000 MILES AND HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED BY ALL OWNERS. DRIVERS BUCKLE OR LATCH NO LONGER OPERATING. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS BECOMING HARD TO RELEASE BUCKLE AFTER USE. NOW STUCK IN CLOSED POSITION. IT INDICATES THAT THE BELT IS BUCKLED BUT IT WILL NOT CATCH. VERIFIED NOTHING IS STUCK IN MECHANISM.
THE DOOR HANDLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IN THE FRONT BROKE OFF. I HAD TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE TO GET IF FIXED. IT WAS LIKE PLASTIC. I AM 5"1 AND WEIGH UNDER 130 POUNDS. I AM NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK IT AND I ALSO HAVE RA. I NEVER SLAM A DOOR IN ANGER. I REALLY LIKE MY CAR BUT WONDER IF THE REST OF IT WILL FALL APART. I WAS IN THE GARAGE. I HAVE THE BROKEN PIECE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ C320. WHILE STOPPED, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED HEAD ON INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED KNEE, BACK, HEAD, AND SHOULDER INJURIES. WHILE WAITING ON POLICE AND MEDICAL SERVICE TO ARRIVE, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS STILL FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK FROM PARKVILLE TO BALTIMORE CITY AND MY CAR BEGAN AGGRESSIVELY JERKING. I DROVE MY CAR ON FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH THE TUNNEL AND THE JERKING WAS NOT AS AGGRESSIVE. I DROVE HOME ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON FROM WORK AND I COULD TELL THAT SOMETHING WAS STILL JERKING BUT CONTINUOUSLY. SATURDAY MORNING MY CAR WAS JERKING SO AGGRESSIVELY, I CALLED OWINGS MILLS MERCEDES AND LEFT IT THERE. I WAS NOTIFIED TODAY, MAY 27, 2015, THAT MY CAR NEEDED BETWEEN $1900 AND $7500 WORTH OF WORK. MY COOLANT IS LEAKING ON THE TRANSMISSION. IF MY RADIATOR CAN NOT BE FIXED, I WILL NEED A NEW RADIATOR AS WELL AS TRANSMISSION. I HAVE DOING RESEARCH AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE C CLASS MERCEDES. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE.

MY VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS MANY OTHER MERCEDES BENZ OWNERS THE FUEL SMELL INSIDE THE CABIN BECAUSE A FAILURE IN THE FUEL SENDING UNITS. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SINK INTO THE FLOOR CREATING AN EXTENDED BRAKING DISTANCE. THE FAILURE NEARLY CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE REAR OF A SECOND VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE LINES WERE CORRODED CAUSING BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK FROM THE VEHICLE. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE BRAKE LINES WERE REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
AFTER DRIVING 1 MILE FROM HOME, THE AIR CONDITIONED SYSTEM SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT FROM THE DRIVER'S VENT INTO THE CABIN. I LEFT THE CAR UNINJURED AND CALLED 911. FIREMEN CAME 10 MINUTES LATER AND I COULD SEE FLAMES COMING THROUGH THE LEFT VENT. THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD MELTED COMPLETELY, THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED, AND MY INSURER DECLARED THE CAR A TOTAL LOSS. I'M GLAD THERE WAS NO PERSONAL INJURY, THOUGH THE INCIDENT WAS REALLY SCARY. I HAD RECENTLY TAKEN MY CAR (3 MONTHS AGO) TO THE MERCEDES DEALER FOR A SERVICE THAT COST ME MORE THAN $6,000, AND THE CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO RUN LIKE NEW. THE AC HAD NEVER FAILED BEFORE THIS. *TR
BOUGHT THE CAR USED IN JUNE 2014, AFTER EVERY TIME I FILLED THE GAS TANK, THERE WAS A STRONG SMELL OF GAS INSIDE THE CAR, AUGUST 2, 2014 CAR JUST CUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, LOST ALL POWER LIKE IT WAS GETTING NO GAS AND JUST CUT OFF. AUGUST 5, FILLED GAS TANK TO TAKE TO SHOP AND HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND GAS LEAKED FROM UNDERSIDE OF DRIVERS SIDE REAR AREA AND AGAIN STRONG SMELL OF GAS INSIDE THE CAR, DID SOME INVESTIGATION TO FIND OUT THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH OTHER MERCEDES CARS. APPARENTLY THERE HAS BEEN RECALLS ON THE E SERIES FROM THE YEAR 2004 FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT THIS A DEFINITELY A SAFETY HAZARD AND MERCEDES SHOULD BE CALLED OUT TO FIX IT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I SMELT FUEL INSIDE MY CAR WHENEVER MY CAR WOULD BE FILLED TO A FULL TANK OF GAS AND FOR A PERIOD OF TIME UNTIL THE FUEL LEVEL DROPPED. MY CAR STARTED TO DRIVE FUNNY AND NOT ACCELERATE NORMALLY THEN STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. MERCEDES DIAGNOSED IT AS A FUEL SYSTEM ISSUE. I BOUGHT THE PARTS AT MERCEDES AND HAD IT REPAIRED AND THEN THEN RECEIVED A WEEK LATER A RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM AS A SAFETY ISSUE. . THE DEALER DID NOT FIX MY CAR AND HAS AVOIDED THE ASSISTANCE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND I CAN NOT REACH ANYONE AT MERCEDES CORPORATE THAT CAN HELP.
ENGINE STALLED WHILE WAITING FOR A LEFT TURN. HAVE A QUARTER TANK OF GAS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. FAULT LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. CAR WAS PUSHED WHILE IN NEUTRAL BUT BREAKS DID NOT FUNCTION. ALMOST HIT A PARKED CAR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME OF OCCURRENCE. REPAIR IS MORE THAN $1000. MECHANIC FOUND MOTOR OIL LEAKING ON ENGINE PARTS. IN 2003 ENGINE STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A FWY. I SMELLED STRONG VAPORS OF GAS INSIDE MY CAR AND OUTSIDE THE AREA. I LOOKED UNDER CAR GAS WAS POURING OUT FROM UNDER FUEL TANK . TOOK IT TO ( TOWED THAT IS) THE SHOP FIND FUEL TANK WAS DEFECTIVE ! FOUND HOLE IN THE TANK ON THE TAB IF THAT MAKES SENSE . THE SHOP CALLED AROUND FOR SAFETY RECALL AND MERCEDES SEE IF ANY OTHER INFORMATION. I AM AWARE MERCEDES HAS HAD PROBLEM IN PAST WITH FUEL TANKS . THE SOP INFORMED ME IF I DROVE THIS CAR WITH HEAT FROM EXHAUST WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE ., I AM TRYING TO CONTACT MERCEDES CORPORATE HEAD QUARTERS WITH NO LUCK . THE FUEL TANK WILL ONLY FILL TO 3/4 AND THE VEHICLE HAS AN ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO FILL THE TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO MERCEDES BENZ FOR SERVICE FOR THIS ISSUE AND THEY STATE THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT AND HAVING SPENT APPROXIMATELY $1.000 FOR MERCEDES TO TRY AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM THEY ADVISED THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX. I CONTACTED MERCEDES NORTH AMERICA AND THEY STATE THE ISSUE ON MY C CLASS IS NOT RELATED TO THAT RECALL AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. THE MILEAGE ON MY VEHICLE IS VERY LOW AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT OCCURRED IN MY C-CLASS THAT THEY REFUSE TO FIX. *TR

IT DOES IT AGAIN NOW. -FRONT FOG LIGHT GLASS CRACKED IN HALF - BOUGHT NEW ONE AND DID IT AGAIN -CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON NOW AND O2 SENSOR BAD. -REAR SCREEN SHADE IT STUCK UP. WONT GO DOWN. -KEY-LESS REMOTE ANTENNA IS BROKE -3 BRAKE SYSTEMS IN FRONT -1 BRAKE IN REAR -SUNROOF WORKS BUT THE ARM THAT POPS UP BROKE -MIDDLE CONSOLE BUTTONS GET STUCK SOMETIMES. MB HAS TO POP THEM BACK OUT. -STRUT STABILIZER BAR BROKE -TRANSMISSION MOUNT AND FRONT ARM BUSHINGS WERE ALL REPLACED. -LCD ON DASH HAS A BLUR LINE GOING THROUGH IT. -BOSE SPEAKERS WERE REPLACED AND NOW ALL BUSTED AGAIN. THE CONTACT MERGED TO THE SHOULDER AND POWERED OFF THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,580 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

THERE IS NO MODIFICATION MADE TO THIS CAR AND ALL THE SERVICING DONE AT MERCEDES AUTHORIZED DEALER SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR. IT HAD ONLY 58000 MILES. LAST B SERVICING WHICH CHECKED ANY SAFETY RELATED ISSUES AND INCLUDES REGULAR MAINTENANCE, WAS DONE AT AUTHORIZED DEALER ON 02/18/2012. NO ISSUE WAS INFORMED ON 02/18/2012 TO US BY MERCEDES AUTHORIZED DEALER SERVICING DEPARTMENT. ON 06/21/2012, WHEN I WAS DRIVING THIS CAR FROM WORK TO HOME, I TURNED ON A/C, A/C SHUTDOWN AND I STARTED SMELLING SMOKE. ON LEFT SIDE OF MY CAR THERE IS A/C VENT AND I SAW FIRE INSIDE THE HOOD THROUGH THAT VENT.I PULLED OVER CAR RIGHT AWAY AND ELECTRICITY WENT OUT WITH IN 1 MIN OF MY PULLING OVER AND WITHIN 4 MIN, WHOLE CAR WAS BURNING. MY CAR IS NOW TOTALED. THIS POSES FOLLOWING SECURITY CONCERNS: 1. MERCEDES C230 2004 IS MADE OF HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE MATERIAL AND DRIVER AND USERS OF CAR HAS VERY LESS CHANCE TO SURVIVE IF THERE IS FIRE. 2. I HAVE A 2004 MERCEDES C320 THAT INCORRECTLY THOUGHT THAT IT NEEDED TO CUT POWER TO THE VEHICLE WHEN I WAS TURNING TO THE LEFT. IT DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES, I WOULD GUESS ABOUT 6 OR 7, FROM THE TIME I LEFT MY HOUSE UNTIL I TURNED AROUND AND PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE LESS THAN 1/2 MILE DRIVING DISTANCE. THESE WERE NOT ALL COMPLETE LEFT TURNS, MOST WERE CURVES TO THE LEFT. MY WIFE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER LATER THAT DAY, AND DECIDED NOT TO HAVE IT LOOKED INTO BECAUSE IT DID NOT DO IT TO HER AND "THE CAR WAS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED" ALSO SHE DECIDED SHE DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC THAT WOULD NOT PRODUCE ANY FAULTS. IT HAS NOT DONE IT SINCE, ABOUT 2 WEEKS NOW, BUT I CONTINUE TO BE CONCERNED THAT IT WILL RECUR IN A MORE SERIOUS SITUATION. THE DEALER KEEPS SAYING THAT THE CAR IS WORKING PROPERLY BECAUSE THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE CUT POWER AS IT SHOULD WHEN IT DETECTS ONE OF SEVERAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL.
